Just throwing it out there, they have become weak. They were powerful race, able to lift massive weight, and able to stop a charr warband invasion solo. Since joining the other races and Pacts, I believe they have gotten weaker. Look at this current Living Story events. The ONLY time we saw Norn running was from Jormag, and for good reasons. Now they are running, all injured and crippled from Dredge/FL AND in large groups? The old Norn of yesterdays would have destroy whatever threatened them.

I know it’s too early to see what they are running from but dont you agree? Norn Lore made them out to be powerful hunters, but they are running away.

It’s the probably game you are playing with. Gambling on 2 chances, like putting all your money on a number AND having be Red color out of all colors if you use rares. YOu have to gamble if it will become an exotic first, then gamble on which exotic it’ll become so you are playing with 2 RNGs. If you use exotics, you are only playing for 1 RNG case so the odds are better.

Yeah, I feel ya. I had to do that once for 75 beads and 500 times for Obsidian Shards.

2) Run AC for tokens to buy Exotic Warhorns to toss into MF. Run CoF for money and tokens to buy level 70 rares (heavy helm!! for mithril and chance at Ori) for your ectos.

3) Use your ranger to farm CS for Heavy Moldy Bags. This will give you tons of T5 and good amount of T6 mats. Their drop rate is amazing now, if you tag well, you can get a full stack in 1 hour. Use your Guardian for Dungeon runs since they can make the runs faster and easier. I Have the exact same level 80s and this is what i do.

As for money, I can see CoF P1 giving good money. I went into P1 with 3s (put into bank) and in 10 mins came out with 1g68s and 2 rares. I also dont use MF/Gold food, pure support food and oils to better help my party.

Yeah, no change from what I see. Heck, my guild mate got 3 charged lodestone in 15 mins (SUPERSUPER lucky) while I got 2 glacial in 20 mins. I also like the fact that they added tons of elementals to new areas (unless I never noticed before) so more places to farm.

I just wanted to make sure before I spend gold on gems for Fine Transmutation stones. I just started a ele but would lke her to look awesome from the get go. If I buy the level 80 Racial or Dungeon gear (which I wouldnt want to do since I would waste the stats) to a white, will she be able to equip it? I’ve done it many times on Karma items (level 15 wearing Dry Bones head/leggings) so I assume this will be the same.

I got tons of regular transmutation stones so wasting them on my new below 80 gear to keep the look is fine by me.

This is by far one of the easiest daily fir any class. If you’re in Orr, go fight Earth Elementals, they will use their rock spell. Dodge across the line and get 2-4 per dodge (x2 before it ends). If in Orr, use the purifiers (the Risen with the breath skill and D/D attacks), up close and personal with the breath, dodge backwards along it, then back up before it ends. Then their dagger attacks is easy to evade and can get 2-3 if dodged across 3 of them.

If in Frostgorge, Ice Wurms. Im recommending level 80 zones since you have to gather anyways, so gathering high level materials is more effective.

Lodestones are rare, super rare. Just dont try too hard farming or you’ll burn yourself out. I dont farm them anymore (even though I need the lodestones) but when I’m on my Ori run, I make 1 or 2 runs on them. One time was lucky to get 2 within 10 minutes of doing so.

I think Jormag’s Breath is fine. If anything, the Fiery Dragon sword needs to be adjusted (toned down). Despite having access to that skin for the entire game I have never wanted to use it because it’s just too big. When sheathed at the hip the fiery effect clips horribly with the ground – it just extends out too far past the physical blade.

Agreed, jormag’s breathe looks great the way it is, the fiery sword on the other hand is like a few ticks from a forest fire.

Agreed. I LOVE my Jormag’s Breath. I also move how bright it is, lighting up a dark room in blue rather than the dull red.

It’s random bug. It’s fixed by restarting client. I get it all the time on my low end. Usually on first try but sometimes it takes 2. I think you have a low/mid end pc playing the game. I’ve never had this happen on my high end so it could be caused by that, but that’s just me speculating.

Andal in HotW Exp path 2 still has 2 quaggan champs and is a legendary himself that hits like a truck , NONE of that justifies the no res rush “fix” since theres no holy trinity and your dodge is VERY limited.

Not to mention the fight is in a small room with AoEs everywhere. It’s hard enough to kite them and even harder to res someone that goes down. Give us more room (won’t happen) or decrease their HP or damage and its perfect.

And the non dust can be sold off to buy dust.

There were 4 axes on 2 days ago at 318-340 gold, I bought one of them for personal use. I can show you a picture of my character wielding it if you want. Not everything is a conspiracy.

And there was 10 axes a few days ago at ~330g. Just before the supply increase, (in 1 day it went from 5 to 10) it was at 5 axes for 320g then went to 10 for ~330g each. You decide what happened. I check the market for this often since I’m looking to buy.

After that, supply dropped down to ~3 at around 350g so quick. Then at one point there were none and now relisted at 555g….hmmm… All within a few days. Mind you, I’m in no rush but it’s very clear to see if you keep track hours/days after days.

The reason for low drop rate is the increased mob rate. I’m sure you all seen the amount of mobs that spawns during an event. IF 50% of them were to drop the dust, the market will be flooded the way Bones were. Now that the risens drop more variety of T5/6 mats, the price of bones went up to match. Also, farm the Heavy moldy bags. The drop rate on these are insane, you can get a full stack of them in a few hours. Get your t5/t6 mats and dust from them.

First off, this is how it was suppose to be implemented at launch since we were expected to have Guesting in place but we didnt. If you go back to old topics, you will see tons of “when will free server transfer be over?” (I for one made 1 such post out of many) because all knew that it wouldnt last long. Anet did us the favor to extend it so people can get into the same server as your friends before making it official to pay.

Second, Seeing as you dont read posts or new events/patches, you didnt know about guesting. Just because you left the game for a break, doesnt mean you cant check the forums/blogs to see upcoming changes. Takes no more than 10 mins to figure out payment for server change was coming so you could have just switch server before patch and then go back to your break.

Go to a temple event and you’re get it done real quick, or the champ at the end of Plinx meta, res buffet when he charges.

Exactly. We are still buying it at that price so it’s telling the sellers that we will buy at any price. Anet monitoring the situation is useless if they dont step in and do anything. All they have to do is increase rate in MF and general prices will drop, not crazy drop like that Karka situation but enough for it to be manageable to buy. In a game with probably at least 1m players, the stock for precursors are THAT low? That is ridiculous. I myself am looking to buy a precursor and at one point there was only 5 in stock, but at 310m. Then stock went to 10 and instead of decreasing in price, it went up to 320m. I am not spending over the amount I want to spent so hopefully no one will buy, forcing the sellers to drop price or fill a reasonable buy order.

Dont know why this was added in the first place. You STILL have to go to the corpse to loot it and its harder to see the small box in a pile of bodies.

I also ran into this problem many times yesterday. Three of the boxes gave me white equips and 2 gave me Salvage items.

It is IF you have a proper DPS party. I see alot of people say this but then they dont realize they either run with a steady dungeon group or/and had a high dps party. Sure, its doable with lesser dps but sometimes the effort isnt worth it when it’s easier to just kite as stated.

I got a question and I’ll explain it. Before patch, when you died on a boss and the boss goes down, you will not get the loot drop from that boss. The reason to wp back and run back asap was to get the drop loot, especially if said boss was close to dying.

With this new no WP while in combat rule, this sucks if the boss still does not drop loot. IT takes forever to revive a dead player, and worse if boss is attacking said person ressing or AoEs everywhere (like Alpha) so wouldn’t this promote selfish play? Why risk downing yourself trying to res or revive someone if you end up dying and won’t get loot?

Farm the 76+ Dredge at Frostgorge Sound for Heavy Mining Bags, they give you a better drop rate.

Question on Guesting regarding Guild Bank. RIght now I’m stuck on another server for another 4 hours till I could transfer back to my original BUT I’ll be at work so wont be able to transfer till I get back AND hopefully patch hasnt been implemented.

MY question, I have a personal Guild bank on my old server, If I am stuck staying on my current server, and IF I guest onto my original server where the bank resides, Will I be able to access it?

Through Speculation of new patch, Frost = Glacial/Corruped and FLame = Molten/Destroyer so it might if new recipes require those.

Same with lodestones like Corrupted and Glacial (Frost) or Molten and Destroyer (Flame) so every TP trader is speculating.

Bloods usually good buy since it seems to be USE in EVERYTHING new.

You must be in an elitist server because I’ve never ran into that problem. Not once have I been kicked or refused and same goes with low level pugs.

Best of luck to you, it’ll take a bit of time for ranger to click to your playstyle if you do roll one.

If that was the case, it shouldn’t work AT ALL even from what I’ve stated about positions. We will never know for 100% sure unless Dev address it. If they did it on purpose like you said, its rather silly.

It is annoying but there are ways around it. People giggle when they see me transform into princess doll to do the jp. Problem solved. Grab a tonic that allows you to jump and it becomes easier.

The issue is that it COULD be bugged? There are a few bugged sigils/runes so this being the case is possible. Like I mentioned in my post, if you attack a underwater enemy on land, it will work and you can see the fire/lightning. It will also work if you attack an enemy on land while you are underwater (Ranger’s Harpoon gun) but for some reason wont while both are underwater.

They nerfed the loot drops from the Claw of Jormag event. I think they also nerfed the drop rate at the main farming locations in Frostgorge, but I can’t really confirm that.

Yes, they nerfed it around nov/dec patch with the adds not dropping them but that was 1-2 months ago. I mentioned the time frame, and look at Spidy graph,

Flame trap all the way because it has the shortest cooldown time. I personally suggest investing in a ranged weapon set. I run SB and Sword/Axe/Horn/2 Greatswords because we need to be flexible to survive certain situations. Having 2 melee weapons with little HP/Toughness will make it hard for you to back off when low and heal unless you got a steady support party member.

Also, leap with healing spring is BOSS. Your party members will love you.

They dont work while underwater BUT works if you attack a underwater enemy while on land.

+1 This AND I’m a ranger, lol. Stacking on him even during the ceiling drops is pretty safe, since most of the the falling debris wont land near him.

And when you’re in melee range, easy to run around him all the time so you will always be behind him. If not double roll through him.

I toss in Rares that I crafted because the materials are easy to gather/come by. When tossing in rare, you have 2 gambles to win, “Will it become an exotic?” and “Which Exotic?”. IF my gambles turns into an nice selling exotic, I will sell to make up my “cost” and if’ it’s an average exotic, I will hold on to it and reuse it in the forge.

When tossing in Exotics, you are 99% guaranteed a exotic back so you only gamble on “Which exotic?” so the chances are better BUT RNG is RNG.

You kicked the leader I assumed. If leader gets kicked or dc, it seems to boot all out. But yeah, that is by far one of the easiest final boss so him not listening is just bad.

Many exotics rely on charged lodestones and they have said nothing about making them any easier. The question is, why is any recipe requiring 100 lodestones NOT a legendary (granting slightly better stats)?

Because players dictate the demand thus the price. It is true that a lot of non legendary exotics require Charged, but reason why the price is so high is because anyone looking to make those are keeping their supply, thus low supply with very high demand. The other lodestones or core like molten has a surplus of supply due to low demands because most are selling them instead of stocking them (also because it’s easier to farm).

It’s a fact that GS users are taking the brute of this (since most of the GS looks awesome) but that shows how much demand there are for them. IF no one wanted to make those GS, then they wont sell, thus making the price drop because the sellers want to get rid of them. By players paying those prices, its telling the farmers/tp power brokers that its easy money so they will keep rising the price.

It’s intentional. They are enemy, so they fight.

As I was saying, it’s not an exploit, but it’s a problem because most players I’ve been with aren’t doing this because they want double loot. They are doing this because they can’t seem to fight Kohler without dying 3 or 4 times.
And instead of learning, they resort to finding a way (well more like searching on websites) around it to minimize the risk that might make the run last longer.

In Kohler’s case it might be faster to let the Troll kill it, that is unless your team wastes 5 minutes trying to get to 2 of them together.

Now whether some things are intentional or not, I really don’t know. Every exploits that involve jumping around makes me wonder “Why did they even bother to put this here ? It’s as if they wanted us to abuse it”. Same thing with monsters fighting each others. But once again, my main problem with that is that sometime, it slows that an encounter that shouldn’t need to be slowed down.

Experience is best for Kholer and that situation. It takes no more than 15 seconds to see if troll is there or not, Troll can only spawn in basically 2 spots in that room. Then depending on the path taken, the next event can be done quickly such as Path 1 and 2, allowing you time to come back and tag both troll and Kholer to grab both drops. IT’s effectively using your time instead of waiting (= boring) for their hp to drop. Once Kholer’s HP drops to 40%, time to attack both, I’ve never had them lose aggro.

Sometimes things happens due to the way the event is set up, take the King and Queen Slime boss event in CoF for example. Clearly, its states that they are oppressive rulers so getting the red slimes to fight them is clever use.

I dont mind it but the whole party needs to be on the same page. Happened yesterday with a pug party in AC. Made a party (never stated it was speed clear), went smooth until a pug decided to attack Kholer when all of us werent ready, without discussing anything and without pulling. He just went in there solo then calls us morons because we were suppose to “follow” him when he went downed while we had to jump into the fray to help him out and we went end up wiping. If he had slowed down or asked he would have known that 2 of the eles in party were new to it so they had no idea what was going on.

During the fight, he went down the most then insulted us again for not keeping him alive. Then during the next mission, he did his own thing and went down again. We were actually about to kick him but he saved us the trouble by leaving.

Stuff like that gives speed clearers ( is that a word?) a bad rep and stereotypes start to happen.

Molten Cores/Lodestones can be gotten from CoF chests and the fire embers from that zone. If you are lucky, Heavy Bags from the charrs will also have them but I’ve only gotten 1 from over 100 bags I’ve opened.

Destroyer Cores can be gotten from Mount Maelstrom Destroyers, the chests from SE dungeon from what I know. The best method would be to farm Heavy Mining bags from Dredge though. Either from the Dredge Fractal, or Frostgorge zone. They drop pretty easy, if not, you will get Large Mining Bags. I’ve opened over 250 and gotten 39 Cores and that is without farming the bags.

Edit. THe heavy Mining bags also drop another type of core, I forgot which one but I think its Onyx or Molten.
