The dosh you get for completing a path.
If you read carefully you would see the the team would get the benefits, not just the lower-leveled players. As that is the case, is there a downside to this?
Yes. Completion dosh is unaffected by this “fix”.
A game is about having fun. If you have fun with the most horrible spec, go for it.
But don’t go kittening on the forums that you get kicked out of groups.

It should’ve been one of the first prerequisites.
I personally would’ve changed Gift of Mastery to have Gift of Dungeons instead of Gift of Jumping.
Dungeon master isn’t a requirement for a legendary, nor do I think it should be.

All legendaries are equally valuable to people looking to fill the seal on the log in page.

ALL salvage kits have a chance to return rare materials. Even Crude Salvage Kits can return Ori/Ancient, although apparently the chance is something like 1 – 5%. Evidently you can get Ectos from Rare items even using a Crude Salvage Kit, although nobody’s really been game enough to test it with a proper sample size.
Sample size has nothing to do with the ability to receive ectos using crude kits. The ecto salvage rate, however, DOES depend on the sample size and the general consensus is that Master’s kits yield a 90%-ish ecto rate.

Ask yourself – if you got a precursor you didnt’ want, would you post it for more than 15% below the current rates in the lonely crusade to lower the prices, or would you cash your lottery ticket like everyone else has done?

I kind of doubt that Anet has a cristall ball that can tell them who will forge the dusks and who won’t.
But I’m sure they got a crystal ball that shows which precursor goes into a legendary and which is being manipulated.
You are implying that everyone who buys a dusk does so as the last step in forging a legendary and immediately uses it.
No, I’m implying every single Dusk is used to make a Twilight eventually and is NOT flipped. That’s how it should be. But it isn’t.
But as someone already said, even the clear reply of John Smith is not enough for the conspiracy believers.
There is no conspiracy. Precursors get flipped. Gold sellers have 10+ of each precursor according to their spam. Currently the only reliable way of obtaining one is forking over huge amounts of dosh on the TP.
What at least I personally am kittening about is the lack of a repeatable, finite, deterministic, skill-based, difficult way to obtain an account-bound precursor of my choice; every other legendary gift has it that way, I just want precursors to share the same fate.
Reminds me how annoying buying the Icy Runestones part was.
Same goes for shards, Orrian boxes, jugs of karma.

Sorry, I didn’t have time right now to read the whole thread, but I’ll throw this at you. In the past 72 hours well over 30 dusks have sold to and from different individuals.
Whether or not all these Dusks ended up as Twilights is my question there.
That’s funny, my group cleared Arah2 and 3 in less than an hour and finally scored a 2:45 minute Lupus kill last night.

Plus, random is random. I went the first 300 hours of play without seeing a single exotic drop. by 305 hours I had seen 3 exotics drop, it is just RNG.
This is exactly the problem. It most often stems from incorrect usage of a good RNG or incorrect usage of RNG (oh hai bad seeds).

I’m still kinda new to the dungeon, but i was wondering if there was a way for a warrior to break out of an Alpha crystal? Classes with teleport just pop out but it seems to be the thing that kills me when I’m the only one left alive.
Have the rest of your party kill the crystal.
Also, does this “stacking” trick actually work? I had an elitist guy insult the entire group every time it failed. From what I’ve gathered, only one of the AoE’s actually hurt, and that’s when the big chunk of ice blasts you, but it only seems to go for one person, so effectively everyone standing on the same place = everyone gets hit?
Look at the ground AoE. Mist around the ice = dodge out, no mist = safe. Since the two types of AoE usually overlap, count to 1 after the ice lands and dodge, preferably forward or to the sides.
Last question about the destroyer on path 3. Is there an easier way to do it than 3 people being mostly excluded from the fight, and having two people teeter on the edge of the platform when the shield comes on? It just seems he has too much health to be a 2 man job…
Fire cannons, jump down, nuke like a motherkittener, on the 3rd shield pulse bail out; use either the stairs (slower but safer) or the platforms (faster but riskier) to get up. Rinse, repeat, downable in 2 shields without timewarp, 1 shield with TW and 2-3 warriors.
+dosh infusion, then repeat the same for all your alts.
However I have been thoroughly amused at times. I tend to hide my dev tags when finding a PUG, and then halfway through the dungeon I will tag up, and watch everyone leave the instance within minutes.
I’d show you every single feature instead.

If you won’t pay the current prices for them, fine, but if someone else will pay that same very large sum for their precursor, then the precursor is appropriately valued. It’s as simple as that. Good luck earning gold.
If the precursor market wasn’t controlled by gold sellers, godskull exploiters and the 1%, that quote would make sense.

Listen here son, I finished my Sunrise 3 weeks ago and the ONLY part I truly hated about it was obtaining Dawn because it did not directly depend on me. Gimme one kitten reason why I shouldn’t be able to work towards the precursor the same kittening way I worked towards everything else.
You don’t need a Legendary. If you do need a Legendary, you’d best stop whining and get/farm it for whatever purpose you need it for.
What part of ‘deterministic’ don’t you understand? Every other part of every single kitten legendary is deterministic. You WILL get your crafting gifts, gift of Jumping, million karma, etc., eventually. With the precursor, you can throw thousands of rares into the Mystic toilet and get nothing; you can farm AC/CoF1 all day long only to see the prices rise; you can participate in every dragon kill for months and receive your usual blues and greens.
I’m not saying every twerp and nobody should receive a precursor for stomping a sparkfly, I WANT a hard-as-nails way to obtain it; and it was previously suggested that DM should qualify for 25% of this method.

Give us a kitten deterministic way to obtain a precursor, no matter the difficulty.
Just because the game engine allows something does not mean it isn’t an exploit. The game engine allows you to move under terrain. The game engine allows you to teleport through doors. Pretty much every single exploit in the game is “allowed by the game engine” because if it wasn’t, you couldn’t perform said exploit in the first place!
