Right now you get the same amount of dosh from a 8 minute CoF 1 run than a 2 hour Arah P4 run. That’s stupid.
Indeed, but the problem lies in Arah4, not CoF1. In fact, if Arah gave 150% tokens and dosh over CoF, it’d be worth its while for dosh-making purposes.
I have tried several times to run it with other classes but the time taken is mind numbing.
I ran 2 warriors, guardian, thief and mesmer in 8 minutes (without blink/portals on balls of death) and my 3warrior2guardian static makes it in 7.5-8 minutes as well. You just had some bads there.

Hate how people call for at least one warrior or guardian in every dungeon i did or lfg i read.
To be fair, warriors have the best DPS and guardians have best support, so it’s no wonder really. It’s more of a class balance disaster.

In Arah p2 you can use a portal gun to get to p3 boss, kill it, get 60 tokens and resume p2. It wouldn’t surprise me if it can be done in p1 and p4.

Run CoE, my good man. I get 1.5-2 lodes per day and my team isn’t even spoonfeeding me with them.
Complaining about zerker set, a set that is farmed in the easiest dungeon in the game? That takes you 10-12 days to farm even without doing that piece of kitten 3rd path? Really?
The fun crowd plays towards their endgame reward of choice without grinding. You would be flabbergasted to find that most people actually aren’t affected by DR because they don’t do the same thing over and over like a lobotomized goldfish.
Here you assume that all people have a set form of “fun” with no deviation allowed. Surely I don’t need to explain how kittening kitten this statement is.
People who play for fun have no idea what this whole DR fuss is about. GW1 did have DR too and guess what … the best way to earn gold happened to be playing the game legit. Doing dungeons, missions and getting titles netted me thousands of plat without breaking a sweat.

2. The veiled implication there’s only one “legit” way of playing the game.
So DR is just the same as saying “you’ve been playing this game for 3 hours, please take a break”.

Yet again: Without an explicit description of what exactly you’re enjoying while playing the game, “fun” is merely a buzzword.
If they are not (and are tradeable), then it will more efficient for everyone to make charged lodestones, sell them, and buy their own (onyx / corrupted / etc) in the market. If that’s the case, this will new currency reward will actually have a much more significant impact the supply of charged lodestones than any other.
If/when people start doing that, charged lodestone prices will drop to more reasonable amounts.
I’m to lazy to “instruct them”. If they don’t know how to run i tell them we are fighting everything. Only when i am with a strong group (like my guild) do i feel totally comfortable running and skipping through dungeons.

Skipping trash involves slightly more than holding W and turning the mouse.
In groups with people who don’t know the dungeon well, skipping and running through sections can be problematic, because not everyone is sure when to run and when not to, or where to run to and when to stop
Communication, my good man. Never kitten u-me everyone knows everything and INSTRUCT your kitten group if they don’t know how to skip this pack or how to avoid that problematic mob.

Skipping is boring and unrewarding in a fraction of the time though.

With John ITT, I’d greatly appreciate an answer to the following: Are drop rates (for item X for example) affected by the amount of said item on TP?
The answer hopefully will be “No no no”.

It’s not. Some people just like forcing their playstyle on others.
Let’s count. The hardest lode to farm is Charged and everything else is pretty much a joke compared to it. You need 100 lodes for legendary gifts, 250 for Infinite Light and 350 for Mjolnir.
At your rate of 3:1, it’ll take 300 days for a legendary gift alone and several YEARS for the other two items.
Overkill.
Update:
There are 5 exotics and one legendary that require http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_Light. Yeah, master of Overkill.

Which does not pertain to the current discussion – some rune/sigil prices are through the roof ONLY because they cannot be crafted or obtain other than tossing 4 other runes/sigils into the Mystic Toilet and praying that Zom doesn’t kitten you over.

Because the uncraftable soldier/rabid/etc armor can be farmed in dungeons. Runes cannot.
Just because YOU want to craft all the runes/sigils now- so you can get them cheap.
Price and accessibility are different things. As of right now there is no reliable way to obtain certain runes and sigils. And just to fend off your stupid ad hominem, I’ve had the runes and sigils I needed for months. On one character. My alt’s pushing 80 and it’ll cost me 5 times as much to gear him.
Its a basic of an MMO that there are rare items. Which depend on rng.
“Rarity” and “reliance on RNG” are not necessarily the same. See: Arah sets, VotM, etc.
If you want all the items for free do sPvP.

You can aquire both the same way now- through rng, either by drops (in the rune/sigil case by weapons/armor with the runes and than salvaging them) or by rng in the Mystic forge.

I couldn’t give a lesser kitten about people who kill everything. What I don’t want is to receive less loot for being better than 98% of the population.

It still feels low for a permanent upgrade but seriously, 25k uses is already quite a bit to lump together.
You’re forgetting the added bonus of convenience. Never having to check your inventory for your mithril/ori tools is well worth the 25k uses, I reckon.
There needs to be a constant money sink.

I would rather have a permanent tool that “breaks down” or weakens, that you need to get repaired like your armor/weapons.
Not a bad idea, but I like my unbreakability for convenience reasons. Weapons never need to be repaired.

no because a breeder in AC is tagged as 1% of the dungeon population, spawned doesn t count for that.
We both know perfectly well it’ll work as I describe. At least for the first few days/weeks/months until it’s “fixed”.
You can do more runs…you still get your 69 tokens in 15 mins…..a Group that spends 30 mins gets 90
DR, my good man. You’re effectively disincentiveizing speedruns (which are not a bad thing by themselves) because killing everything seems to be the “proper” way in someone’s distorted perception of reality.
You are not punished at all…its like kohler post patch, most Group will kill him for the loot while b4 was 100% skipped.
Difference being is that post-patch Kholer drops 15s. And AC is a faceroll easymode, so it didn’t affect my clear times much.
Now, if you apply the same logic to CoE or Arah, that’ll just be bollocks. No one ever clears Arah trash and a guaranteed precursor is pretty much the only good enough reason to do it.
Still no mention of removing or adjusting their incredibly oversensitive DR (which hurts legitimate players more than botters)…
