’Let me explain to you why you cannot guest on worlds in another region.

There are two databases: European player data is stored in our European datacenter, American player data is stored in our American datacenter. This is to ensure that people in these regions can still properly play in case there is an issue with the connection between the datacenters.

When you do a world transfer from the US to the EU (and vice versa) your player data is transferred from one datacenter to the other. This is not the case with guesting, as you are still “registered” on your home world.

I understand that some of you are disappointed that you cannot guest on worlds in another region, but considering the complexity of internet routing, our main priority is to ensure that players have as much of an uninterrupted game experience as possible, which is the reason why we have two datacenters.

On another note: I will try to get an answer to the guild influence question that has been posted a couple of times.’

’Absolutely no rounding happens for duration totals (tooltips only round for display) but it is unknown what happens at certain split seconds for tick based effects. ’

I bought my friend a rare back item off the TP (to put his Dragon Wings skin on) for 3 silver. There was a Masterwork one for 1 silver and change. It’s not that expensive to get something to transmute back items onto. =)

Thanks, everyone. I found a thread in Game Bugs with a Dev answer. I understand it now, though it still doesn’t seem to work (even as it is supposed to) for everyone. I have to agree that the way they set it up isn’t what I was expecting, but I will try some of the other methods for getting it to work as I desire. Thanks, again. =)

I have had this issue since headstart. Two different computers. I lowered my sound performance way back when it was first suggested, no difference. It happens anywhere and anytime. Even just standing and looking in the bank. In town, or farthest from civilization. With headphones (I will never wear them again), or using speakers. With sound on, or put on zero. I wish they would fix it, because it startles me terribly whenever it happens.

I must be doing something wrong. The new AoE autoloot doesn’t work for me, and yes, I have it enabled. I don’t have it bound to another key, it is still ‘F’. When ‘Search’ comes up, and I hit ‘F’, it only picks up one loot. What is amiss?

I’ll give you a silly statement, as well. When I played my Necromancer, all my traits had been reset. I discovered this, as my skills and minions were acting wonky. So, I didn’t need to pay anything to reset.

We just got a whole lot of traits changed, and at the very least the Necro GM book isn’t working. Anyone else?

Have you purchased and used the previous Trait books for the profession? You must purchase and use all 3, in order.

you followed the link to the gw1 wiki. the gw2 credits list is incomplete.

As the information from following the link is no longer valid, my suggestion to update the page seems reasonable. I would do it myself, but I never really like to change others’ posts on the wiki; I’m just a part-time contributor. =)

Since last Saturday, I sent a message to support about gem purchase/items purchased with gems.
First, I purchased 4 items at the gem store. I did not receive any of them.
Second, I cannot log in into support because and check my ticket because it says my email/name does not match with password, the system says it sent me a reply that i have never received. So, i spent my money and get nothing and what really makes me mad is that i cannot contact you or receive any replies because the system does not work.
Please verify and reply to my email account. At the ss, you can see what i purchased: name change ticket, dye kit, dye pack and 5 chest keys.

Have you tried deleting your in-game mail. Too many mails in the queue is the number one reason for not receiving purchases for the gem store. If this doesn’t help, you might want to post your ticket number (if you have access to it). Good luck. =)

I, personally, don’t use Boss timers. If a Dragon chest event happens to spawn while I am in the vicinity, I will join in, but otherwise, I just do whatever I happen to be doing in-game at the time. It’s not that accurate, to me, and I would rather have fun playing than wait around for a particular event. We all have our preferred playstyles, and that’s perfectly ok. =)

Actually, anything soulbound to a deleted character left in the bank can easily be destroyed. It is true, though, that you can do little else with it.

I took a break from playing during the event, although I don’t regret missing the event I was wondering if it’s still possible to get a Sclerite Weapon Claim Ticket. I like to collect weapons and I don’t have much to do in-game right now.

You can try to get a Jade weapon ticket, though there isn’t much time. Or starting Tuesday, one of the new weapons. =)

I’m just curious. What exactly happens when you delete one of your character slots? Do his/her gear and items disappear or do they go somewhere?

Mostly I’m just curious because it would be cool if all items and gear on the character went straight into your bank. That would save me a little time & effort, you know. So if anyone has experience with this, I’d love to know what happens with that. Thanks.

P.S. I didn’t see any posts on this, surprisingly, but if this was already asked, it didn’t come up in my search.

You can’t delete a character slot, but when you delete the character occupying that slot, everything in its possession is destroyed. Thus, make sure to put all non-soulbound items in your bank before deleting said character. Good luck. =)

Oh, and keep in mind that that character’s name is reserved for you for 24 hours after deletion.

So after half a year of not playing because of some personal problems, my account got hacked and it got banned for modifying or disrespecting the rules. So then I was like ‘’what? I did nothing, it wasn’t me, I wasn’t even playing’’. Then I started questioning myself if it’s possible to get it back. I went in Services tab > Support and I told my problem. Yes it took about 2 days to retrieve my account but I am not disappointed AT ALL of the service I had. This was really awesome. I want to personally thank GM Nalu and GM Josh for guiding me through all this problem. They provided excellent help and I really appreciate it. Now I can play again!!!

If you ever read my post and you have the same problem, do it like me. It might take time but it’s totally worth it. The GMs will guide you through, they will help you, ask you some personal info, but hey it’s their jobs.

Lost Character?

So I come back after a month or two of not playing to have a character deleted. I don’t know for what reason. Is there anyway I could get it recovered? Any processes for that? ._.

It sounds as though your account may be compromised. You can contact Customer Support, and they will assist you.

Gems store bug

Gentle Guild Wars 2 Support Team , I think to have a bug with my GW2 account.
If I buy something in the Gem Store, the gems are regularly subcrated from the amount, but i can’t received what I have buyed .
I have payed 200 gems for 2 Rich Dragon Coffer and I never got anything , the same happens with free stuff , I click on it and i never receive it .
Could someone help me please?

Try deleting most, if not all of your mail. This is the number one cause of missing Gem store purchases. =)

Transferring from a New Account

I sent 200 gold to my other account to get a quick and easy title “Golden”, which was successful. But when I tried to send the money back to the originating account, it says it’s limited because this account is new.

I have made a guild, invited characters on the other account to deposit the influence items and now making a guild vault. (mainly just for more bank space).

When it’s built (in a few days), will I be able to deposit this gold into the guild bank from my new account?

(if it is like people say, only allowed to send as much gold as you have earned, it will be a LONG time before this new account generates 200 gold!!! so I hope this is not the answer…)

As stated a couple of posts above, after 30 days the restrictions are lifted. =)

Are you saying if we don’t specifically complain about something, we are being partisan? If we are fans of the game, are our opinions worth naught?

I am afraid I can not agree with everything you are complaining about. I’ve yet to encounter said ‘tiny bosses’, but then I probably haven’t encountered every boss in the game. I feel my characters progress, but maybe that’s just me. I am not a fan of ‘raiding’, what can I say? This is supposed to be a game that focuses more on aesthetics than gear stats, not sure what you are asking for there. I was very excited when Dusk dropped for me a couple of days ago, though I will admit it wasn’t off a boss, but a level 6 Jungle Raptor Hatchling.

I am sure there are many ways to improve the game. I am not sure making judgements about those who may post here will improve the community, though. =)

Lag in Japan. Server change to NA worth it?

Hi,

I just moved from Europe to Japan where I’m gonna stay for few months. Since I’m here I experienced some very annoying lag while playing, both in pve and wvw. So I’m wondering if this lag is structural and if it would go away if I move to a NA server, cause in this case I’ll gladly move for these few months and than come back to my beloved Aurora Glade.

My SO plays on an NA server from South Africa (approximately 10,000 miles away) and he doesn’t have any noticeable lag. But, of course, your mileage may vary. =)

When I try to create a Support Account is says the email address already has a Support Account. When I request Support Account info via “forgot username/password” option it says it sent me email. And, if I don’t get email to Contact Support. I did not get an email.

I cannot ASK QUESTION because I need to log into Support Account to see the response. How do I contact SUPPORT if I cannot see responses to TICKETS? Or, more generally, what should I do to view TICKETS already submitted?

New player starting question

Talking to NPCs may start a Dynamic Event. Hearts are only on the map to insure you are in the area for any DEs. More of a means to an end, than a way to level up. Try exploring all around the area you are level-appropriate for.

Also, you can completely explore Divinity’s Reach for a few extra levels. Or gather some mats and craft a bit for some levels. Almost anything you do gives XP.

This is true. I was addressing the comment that the Achievement list does not indicate how many have been achieved. =)

Perhaps, at a future date, an indication of which have been done, or at least in which zones some are needed, will be added. Hope springs eternal!

My achievement list shows exactly how many dives I have done for Dive Master, as well as how many hints I have done. You need merely to mouse over the description in said Achievement list. =)
