Ahh….well, you might get in trouble for creating it, again, after a Mod moved it. Good luck, though! =)
You are most welcome! =)
Is this deja vu? I could have sworn I saw this exact thread/post earlier today!
I accidentally unclicked the “remember password” button on the launcher and completely forgot it. So I click “forgot my password”, get sent to the account page, only to get the error “Password reset failed, please try again or contact support”.
Luckily, my password was saved on the forum log-in.
Any ideas around this issue? Or should I just wait it out?
If your password is saved for the forums, you can open ‘tools’ on your browser and find the saved password there. =)
Best what, exactly?
It was Caulle’s Crossing, and it happened around December of 2012.
As to whether there will be new zones released in Living Story content, Chris Whiteside had this to say:
’Q: Do you predict that more zones will be opened with more Living Story content?
A: Absolutely. We want to see the world grow. So the idea of new large land masses and anything you expect from an open world or MMO environment is on our list.’

In your opinion. Some people like it just as it is! =)
I’m in four at the present time. None, of course, demand representation at all times.
I enjoy the Living Story. Not to be confused with the Personal Story. There will always be new content to show your friends. We have permanent content, that people did once or twice or many times, and now sits abandoned. You like it one way, I like it another. New permanent content is coming, as well, so we can both be happy. =)
If you read the talk behind the Engineer trait it states that only one target is affected by the burn condition. Just no one put the note on the front page.
I’ve had this happen to my character. It wasn’t in Frostgorge; I think it was in Sparkfly or somewhere around there. Same exact thing, but it cleared up after a day or so. Haven’t (thankfully) seen it since. The person I was partied with at the time did not experience this anomaly (we were in the same place).
Yes, you can still get them all. Originally they planned on making them exclusive after a time, but it seems the desire to make money off increased sales won out in the end.
The titles are very much in the tradition of normal MMO grind. The further along you go, the harder it becomes. Reaching 30 points (the last point before you stop receiving cosmetic rewards) can be done within a couple of weeks for an experienced GW1 player but someone starting out will likely take much longer. Guild Wars 1 is a complex game but once you’re set up (with the right hero builds) it’s pretty much auto pilot to win.
It’s hard to judge because you will be learning the game as you go, but I suspect it would take at least 100 hours to 30 HoM points. Any titles beyond that become much harder. Don’t bother going for 50/50, GW1 would become your main game if you wanted that. Getting 50/50 is a lofty goal for people who played the game for seven years.
This isn’t true. They said from the very beginning you’d always be able to get them, even after Guild Wars 2 launched. That never changed. They were never meant to be “exclusive”.
Actually, this is what was said, at one time, though I suppose they changed their minds:
“I don’t know exactly what the timing will be, but I will tell you that we aren’t going to allow new players to Guild Wars 2 to go back and get those items in the Hall of Monuments. Our intent is to reward players who are playing Guild Wars right now…So I can’t imagine that we’ll let somebody coming into Guild Wars six months after Guild Wars 2 ships and letting them have rights to all of the same opportunities our original players had.”

So, I can see where someone would remember this, and talk about it now. =)
Well, it’s fixed now. Well done, ArenaNet editor! =)
I love it. There’s always something new to do.
Truly, how refreshing is it to hear the recent complaints of: ‘Oh no, there is too much content now! I don’t have enough time to do it all!’
Well done, Arenanet! =)
Aww, sorry about that. It’s not the only typo in the blog, but probably the most glaring one. =)
Thanks for clearing that up, Colin. That’s why I put the question mark in; I wasn’t sure if this was the infamous Second Half blog or not. It’s very exciting news, though, isn’t it!?
I didn’t see anything about player housing in the release. Just that there would be a node. Did I miss something?

Living World in Guild Wars 2
by Colin Johanson on Juli 2, 2013
I rather like the animation. More so than any of the others, which is why I bought the axe, but passed on the other two. Just a matter of preference, I suppose. =)
I wish the designers of this game could account for the fact that a large number of people do not own and cannot afford the very best equipment. The degree of precision required to complete this skill point/vista is ridiculous (there are others as bad) if you only have above average equipment. I have a MacBook Pro and to line up the rocks is hard enough, the degree of precision required to land on the first limb and then the second one is ridiculous. I don’t mind a challenge, it is part of the enjoyment. But to fall repeatedly and have to start over gets tiring, irritating and makes me quit until I calm down.
You might have better luck posting in Suggestions….or Players Helping Players…as this does not seem like a Forum or Website Bug. Good luck. =)
I doubt it was their ‘decision’ to mistakenly list them for 60s at the vendor. Just an unfortunate happenstance. =)
They were not there for me before the patch. Guess you were just lucky.
Well, some people complained about it, there was a thread about it. Maybe that’s why it was removed. I’m not sure.
Hmm…not there for me.
Here’s the thread you were looking for:

Well, for some people, who only play a few hours each weekend day, it’s barely doable. Not everyone concentrates solely on getting the monthly achievement so quickly. Since there are choices, I guess a person could choose to do the more difficult ones, instead of the easier ones, if they wanted more of a challenge.
I just tried searching for ‘Colin Johanson’. 0 Results! Lol.
Aww…you are so sweet! ; )
To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population.

High: 1000 Gem.png
Very High: 1800 Gem.png
The transfer fee is only charged if you have characters on your account; in other words, if your account has no characters or you delete all existing characters first, you will be prompted to select a new home world after creating a new character, free of charge.
So I’m pretty sure I remember reading that we would be able to get laurels for different achievements as well. What ever happened to this plan?
It was never said specifically laurels, but rewards for different achievements. They are still working on it; maybe more information on the new blog post coming (supposedly) early this month.
edit: Here is the actual quote:
’Laurels are only earned through daily and monthly achievements (starting with the feb monthly) and will not reward for previous daily/monthly achievements completed since folks didn’t know this system was coming.
We will however introduce an expanded/new reward system in the future that will reward for other types of achievements, this system will reward previous achievement points earned. (But may require bringing back into line some infinitely repeatable achievements that would bloat/break this system)’

Remember, there is a 7-day cooldown on server transfers.

‘Ask a Question’
I use Cragstead whenever the daily includes Karma spending. Lol. Slowly working on that achievement. =P
I have not gotten on guild wars 2 in almost 2 months so I have forgotten my password. In order to reset your password you need provide your serial code, But the email that contained the serial code is no longer in my email. I can provide everything, Email, ingame name or anything else. I just dont know what my password is.
If you can log into the forums, your browser must have your password saved. You might look in your browser’s tools, and find your saved password there. =)
If you paid in cash, then you didn’t buy it from ArenaNet directly. Any refund would have to be discussed with the retailer you purchased the game from.
Can you link if your GW account is on EU?

Yes, you can. =)
It’s in your Options, under General Options.
Show Skill Recharge — Superimposes a countdown timer, in seconds, on the skill icon. When under 5 seconds are remaining, the time is shown to tenths of a second.
Tick that box. =)
You can look them all up on the wiki. Some might only show up on the GW wiki, though.
Please, once you finally fix the ‘search’ function, let us search the Dev Posts sub-forum. It is so difficult to go through nearly 300 pages of Dev responses manually looking for a response that answers a question in someone else’s thread. Please.
I would guess it all boils down to a matter of preference. Why do you prefer to repeat the same old content? I like new things to do, you prefer something you can do forever. Each to their own. /shrug
I guess it’s just general game discussion. If the topic seems too specific, it will be moved to the appropriate sub-forum. /shrug
