Well, I don’t know. The Anniversary Backpack skins were/are a 5-year plan. It’s not that much different to have a 7-year plan. (Obtaining all Pinnacle skins are a long-term plan, as well.)

It’s a choice of two weapons for the account. We do get to choose another backpack from the selection of five.
And all the people that will decide they would like Gliding, or Guild Halls and/or Scribing, as well as Gen2 Legendaries.
Most of them will have the gliding already (i honestly don’t expect for the next expac to bring in a lot of new players that didn’t have Hot before). There will be a new guild hall in PoF (and i assume scribing won’t be limited to Hot either – though some scribing currencies might not be easily available outside of it), i also don’t expect the number of people going after gen2 legendaries to increase significantly, unless one of the new ones will be way better visually than all we’ve got so far.
The last wave is likely going on now, while people are trying to finish achievements etc. before the next expac hits.
According to the Path of Fire FAQ, it seems one will need Heart of Thorns to access Scribing, and to claim and upgrade the new Guild Hall.

How is something that’s not possible for them to change a “double dip?”
Because it sounds like a convenient excuse to continue selling “improved” VIP portal stones even if you already have one the next one is better and they never update the old ones, so they can sell you new ones every few months.
Well, I guess ‘improved’ and ‘the next one is better’ is subjective. For me (starting with the Royal Terrace), some are worse, some are equal but not the same, some are better.
Unfortunately, that is not possible at this time due to technical limitations.

Also, Royal Terrace has Guild Registrar, which some of the later Deluxe Areas do not.
Thus, there is no upgrade with each subsequent release of Deluxe Areas. Some have more services, some have different services, some have less services.
Something for everyone, I’d guess. /shrug
Be aware, the above list of World populations only pertains to activity in WvW. It has nothing to do with PvE World populations.
In other words, there can be a Server with 2000 players of which only 200 actively play in WvW, and it would be lower on the World population list than a Server with 600 players, of which 500 actively play in WvW.

As for the single queue, there is a single queue that the ticket first gets attention. Then, it is sent to the Team that handles such matters.
It really would not work out if each ticket was closed before the next one could be addressed, as the tickets that take some research/time would hold up the ones that can be addressed very quickly. It would not make much sense to have the other 20? 30? 50? Team members sitting idle at their desks while Team Member X works on a complex matter.
And all the people that will decide they would like Gliding, or Guild Halls and/or Scribing, as well as Gen2 Legendaries.
Unfortunately, ticket response time is slower than usual, due to high volume. You can update your ticket to inquire about its status.

It seems to me that some of the later Deluxe Areas had less to offer than some of the older ones. Seems like Havoc’s Heir has services that Noble’s Folly and Lava Lounge do not. Also, Lily of the Elon (which will be offered for sale if speaking to the NPC there is any indication) has less to offer than Havoc’s Heir, and just as much as Noble’s Folly and Lava Lounge.
So, why would players pay, again, for another Pass with less services, if services is supposed to be the attraction of the newer Deluxe Areas? Seems an odd marketing strategy.

Only if something you desire can only be obtained through crafting, for the most part. There are a few things that are profitable to craft, though. I imagine there is a guide for that, as well.

The gathering dailies already tell you which maps, if you click on them. The Mini-Dungeons, etc. already show you where they are on the map, if you click on them.
There’s always the Wiki if something isn’t already explained on the Daily UI.

Not with permanent Royal Terrace passes. You must have the pass in possession, though.
You should close all but the initial, original ticket as creating duplicate tickets only slows down assistance you can receive.
Once you have done that, your ticket will move through the queue, and the CS Team will assist you.

If they share a skin, they might not be listed multiple times. Toxic skins are listed. Nightshade are listed.
There’s a note that all possible skins may not be listed.
I know from going through my Wardrobe Unlock that a few skins are not grouped together as one would expect. I’m still working on unlocking as many as possible before using keys.

Why would players want to pay for what they now receive free of charge? How would this affect what the game is known for – content and feature releases free of charge once purchasing the buy-to-play game? That’s a major selling feature of the game. They already have metrics to show who plays what, and how much; the Devs don’t need to charge for it to gather that information.
As others have stated, segregating the playerbase in an MMO is not especially healthy for the game, either.
I, personally, don’t think it’s a good idea. Thumbs down, sorry.
Although slow, one can obtain the Gift of Battle without ever setting foot in WvW. Of course, it does require access to a Guild Hall with the appropriate upgrade.
Thus, ArenaNet has already provided an alternate means of obtaining the Gift of Battle.
Can you elaborate?
If you complete 80 WvW (basic) dailies, you get enough WvW potions to finish a reward track.
To completely avoid wvw:
For “Big Spender,” go to your guild hall and purchase one Badge of Tribute. This occurs 3-4x/month, so figure it would take at least 20 months to get 80 potions. (It almost certainly takes less, but I’ve not seen a reliable rotation for dailies that makes it easy to count; this is worst case.)If you want to do “PvE in WvW”, there are the following dailies:
- Daily Monument: you ‘capture’ a ruin in the borderlands. No fighting
- Daily Veteran Slayer: 3 NPCs in each BL count for this.
- Daily Land Claimer: fight a sentry NPC, claim their location
- Daily caravan: kill an enemy dolyak; there are plenty leaving from enemy-owned camps near your spawn.
There are easily 10 of these per week, so if you do them all, worst case ~2 months. Each involves a minor risk of getting attacked by enemy players, with that risk varying depending on location, time of day, and your world/opponents.
That’s pretty much how I did mine. Although now it’s getting harder to enter wvw and it kinda suck for people playing wvw that I take their queue only for daily.
But I thought there was also a way to acquire one “without ever setting foot in WvW” with “a Guild Hall with the appropriate upgrade.”
But google search returns no result on that. Or I’m not searching it right.
It’s the first option IWN posted. Use ‘Big Spender’ in the Guild Hall. You can also fulfill ‘Big Spender’ in the starting area of your borderlands where no enemy players are allowed to enter, of course.
Sure. As long as the released name has the appendage ‘On-Loan-Cuz-I-Could-Not-Come-Up-With-My-Own-Name’, and is given back to the original owner upon return.
From 4 boxes I got 4 minis. Three of them the same one, and, of course, it was a mini I had already unlocked long ago.
This is why I’ve not considered purchasing these in the future.

In this case, I think If you want 4000 gems, just buy 4000 gems. I don’t think the Ultimate bundle is worth the extra money.
