But, whatever. It doesn’t matter, really. Just offering the information that one needs not be on the same server to join, or participate, in a PvE Guild. Except for one Guild, which isn’t ‘based’ on my server, I have no idea which servers the Guilds I belong to are on, lol.
Maybe it’s how those Elonian refugees got to Lion’s Arch?

Don’t we get to choose the category of materials to salvage in PoF? I mean they had those named caches, or whatever they were called, so you could choose what kind of mats you received.

But, there is no reason to ‘jump servers to be in a PvE Guild’, as all PvE maps are shared. A player can reside on a different server and still rep 100% if they so choose. The only thing that servers affect is WvW.
I think Blood Rubies and Petrified Wood are the same. At least, they are listed in the Wiki as such.
I believe you need to use a Salvage Kit. It salvaged into Unbound Magic for me with a Salvage Kit.

You can either try the suggestions above, or try updating your ticket to inform the CS Team you didn’t receive the near-immediate automated response. No, it will not be able to be purchased for Gems, just as Heart of Thorns is not able to be purchased for Gems. What you see in the Gem Store is the upgrade to the Deluxe Edition from Standard (for Core, Heart of Thorns, and Path of Fire).
A person must pay cash for the (no-restrictions)Core game, for Heart of Thorns, and for Path of Fire.

Maybe your friend had the Episode unlocked by having logged in while it was active, even though she had never been in the map before.
Do you have the corresponding Episode unlocked?
One thing to check is to make sure your in-game audio settings match your OS settings and your physical audio set-up. For example, if you use a 2.1 sound system, make sure the OS audio system is set to 2.1, as well as the in-game settings. Same for headphones, 5.1, 8.1, etc.

You can always submit a ticket anonymously, or check your email for responses. It’s not required to log-in to communicate with the CS Team.
And, many of us posting have had our accounts banned, and then re-instated by the CS Team for various reasons (such as RMT-trading). Although it can take some time, the CS Team is usually quite helpful. =)
Also, make sure your email account is secure. Compromised game accounts are often accompanied by email account compromises, and as such, the usurper intercepts all email correspondence from ArenaNet. It would be best to change the passwords on all sensitive accounts.

It seems the payment provider, Digital River, is sometimes leery of multiple purchases (anything over 2). (There’s a few posts about multiple purchase issues.) It may just be a matter of having your purchase verified. It may take a few days, but should be sorted out, if that’s the problem.

Sometimes, when there is a dispute between 2 people over ownership of an account (they both provide documentation), the account will be closed. It’s unfortunate for the true owner, but it’s the only thing that can be done.
Make sure your email account hasn’t been compromised, as well, as the usurper can intercept all correspondence from the CS Team. Also, the usurper can get access to reciepts, etc. if stored in the email account.

Be as that may, the point is the the CS Team, most likely, has not forgotten you, but due to the complexity of determining account ownership, and the extra high volume at this time, the response time for tickets is, unfortunately, extremely long.

In the demo, Hero Challenges awarded 10 points each. There were 5 Hero Challenges for the Crystal Oasis map shown on the loading screen.

Just an FYI: Compromised account issues have always taken longer to resolve; probably averaging 7 days when ticket resolutions are at the usual 3 days. Thus, it is not unusual for a compromised account issue to run longer than the average for common ticket issues.

I could not say, as I’m sure my playstyle would have been different from yours.
When Heroes were added to Guild Wars, the whole game changed. No longer did we call on game friends to fill spots for Missions. We just used Heroes.
It really was a sad day for Guild Wars.
Thus, I don’t think ‘Mercs’ would be a good idea for Guild Wars 2.
I don’t know; you don’t really need a good population, as every map is instanced. Heroes and Henchmen take the place of players in those maps. I suppose what a bigger population offers is more people to trade with, to bypass some of the requirements to fill the Hall of Monuments. And, maybe, a couple of HM Missions that require 2 or more players. Still, I think there are enough possible avenues to get points (just as with Mastery Points in GW2) that that would not be a deterrent.

Guild Wars became a mostly-solo game with the introduction of Heroes. It really changed how we played way back then. If you want the rewards, it should not be too difficult to attain the 30 HoM points. GWAMM, on the other hand, takes quite a bit more effort.
Do keep in mind: Guild Wars is a completely different game than Guild Wars 2. It’s not just a older. less up-to-date version of GW2. Still, it brought many players years of enjoyment.
There used to be a 10-day? 10-hour? trial. I don’t know if it is still offered. If so, you could check GW out that way.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is saved from anything done with a Demo character or on a Demo map. Regardless how it was acquired, or what it was. No need to bank/save/anything else any item your character acquired.

Its really weird how english naming has hard restrictions, and in the other hand other language, like french, don’t have.

MOST games have test clients that are not apart of the main game. So they don’t interfere with anything.

They are not test servers, they are test instances. Full game play is not possible so most bugs are missed since characters do not have full progression such as story, etc.
How do you know this? Are you a playtester breaking the NDA?
I would save the Gems until you are more familiar with the game, if new. See how the game works and determine your needs/desires. Wait until the expansion launches, and see what’s on offer, then. Investigate (through the Wiki or other sources) all that has been offered before that might catch your eye, and wait for it to be offered again.
There’s really no rush to spend. I certainly would have purchased, and did purchase, different things when new than I would and do today. I’ve yet to purchase any character bag slots. I’ve nearly maxed out my bank slots. I purchased the Copper-fed, but don’t use it that much. Maybe when there is a solution for all the minor sigils/runes, I will start using it more. I don’t know.
(I do love my Unbreakable Tools, though.)
