Achievements need 10 invader kills in a season of 7 weeks. This is clearly meant for the PVE’rs to ‘get it over with for easy APs’. Good news is, we will have long ques only on the first day of the season.

That is just the prerequisite for advanced which is 450 invader kills.

And 450 is very large right? For a whole season we should have to kill at least 10k.

Depends on how you look at it. For me a avid WvW player 450 is a joke but that could be harder for someone that has spent little to no time in WvW.

That is exactly what I am saying. Anet has got the level for everyone down to satisfy the PVE’rs.

You guys are forgetting zerg vs roamer. It is way easier to get 450 in a zerg than as a roamer.

This pretty much. I really don’t enjoy zerging. I adore roaming and 1v1s, even 1v3s. Also consider, anything more than 450 will mean clogged maps for weeks. You’ll see what I mean right about nowww…..

You have about 58 minutes if NA. EU is already locked.

You can still transfer freely after the league lock, but your account (and reward) will be tied to the server you were on when leagues started.

Naw don’t worry about the doors. Did you do the zone with the crazy Halloween guy? Did it unlock your WvW achievements?

Ok go to LA and take portal to char city. Look for a gold star on map when you zone in.

Check your mail, it will give you a map location. It will only take five mins to do, and if it fixes it, better than having to requeue 3 hours for another map to see if that works. If it doesn’t, then it’s only five mins of your time. If it does, then bonus

Thanks to the season achievements the queues are infinite. Signed up first second and waiting over 2 hours now and not even on a T1 Server. Please no achievements for season 2.
When I came to this server it was only high populated, with cheap transfers it went to very high…

You could go to a low population server. And considering your not on a T1 server, if you are in NA, I would say you are either on SBI or TC. One of those is almost a tier one server, and the other is a massive bandwagon….

The queue is not long on maguuma, and we are rank 6. SOS, FA, and so on, do not have long queues either.

Given that NA leagues haven’t launched yet, I would say he’s on EU. Just a hunch tho.

Player A logs in at 9am and plays until 10 pm.

Player B logs in at 4pm and players until 6pm.

Play times and length are as unpredictable as the players themselves.

And if they did put in a timer and it failed to be accurate you can only imagine the rage and threads bawling them out over “lies.” Queue timer is a no-win situation for them.

If it’s anything like EU first week and last week of season will see t1 servers face off.

You cant reasonably predict when another player will log out and free up a spot. So timer would be impossible to do. How many people are ahead of you probably could be done tho, but it still wouldn’t give you a definitive amount of time until you can get in.

We actually tried EU servers before and the problem was mainly ping for lot of our members so no one is really considering.

But the discussion is final and we are moving starting tonight.

Only thing is we want to move to a server with late night presence.

Oh I guess I misread .. was seeing him talking about being pushed further away from gold and having to decimate silver servers, etc .. I assumed he thought that a Silver server could move up from there to Gold leagues, etc …

Personally,I really enjoy getting 10 of my closest friends, grouping up and roaming for soloers. We crush the soloer then spam points and laughs at him. Makes me feel all warm inside.

To get back on thread topic: I haven’t stated before re: gear/food/etc what I think is fair for roaming. While I admire the OP’s desire to make it as even a level playing field as possible, it’s pretty much impossible to coordinate that universally. So let them eat whatever they want, get as many stacks as they want .. to me roaming is all about learning my class and improving my skill. You typically end every fight by learning something. That’s a good thing.

I think I sent you a PM once, way back in May. But that was to congratulate you on how you handled a particularly bad (liar) and troll.

Yeah ele is actually the easiest for me vs multiple thieves compared to my Mesmer. So much heal, so much cc, so much aoe. And yeah, they typically run squishier for burst damage too so you kind of get a 3fer deal. Three is my max though, I struggle with 4v’s. But that’s why even two pieces of pvt gear will help you outlast them. I also made a thief myself to learn the class, timing, etc … That helped me too.

Cc and aoe the crap out of them. Use freeze/slow, thieves have few counters for that. Get a couple pieces of pvt gear to prevent insta gank. Set up duels where typically you only fight till downed, so you can test builds and tricks. Seek out every thief you can find till you learn to counter. so many face plants vs thieves for me, but eventually I found out what works for me.

I dunno. I think it takes incredible control and skill to go full force fighting and be able to pull off after the other guy is downed. Now, mind you, most of the ones that have done this have been from highly competitive and highly skilled GvG guilds, so maybe that’s the correlation.

Well I certainly hope that they’ll at least suspend people using it. Mesmers in WvW are just waiting on top of towers/cliffs and jumping on people.

Just want to add BULL players to the list of honorable ones. Seems all the guys who enjoy the fight and back off when you’re downed are on Baruch. Quite impressed, made some new friends that way.

They mean tower siege — like oil, cannons and mortars. They used to show a decay timer. It was a bug.
