Ok I’m seeing recipes for the following:

Runes of Tormenting
Runes of Perplexity
Runes of Exhuberance

and

Sigil of Renewal
Sigil of Malice
Sigil of Bursting

Am really keen to know the stats on these.

How on earth will you know how to dodge out of the aoe then in a heavy 3-way fight?

In the open world, dungeons, PvP, and WvW, the new effects-culling system will slowly start reducing the detail of each effect in order to increase combat visibility when many effect types are overlapping.

So … culling is back? How will this work?

I’d love to see YouTube video links to completed matches on that gw2gvg site …. So you see the score, then click the link to view the actual match. There is already a spot there for it, would be nice if guilds linked

There’s a significant difference between true GvG and kill trading.

I’d be wary of lumping the two together.

I can’t believe JQ is still in here talking about points, and how good they are. Anyways here is 18 minutes of video from last night where JQ showed [DERP] just how good they are.

The only time JQ has a chance of winning a fight that isn’t at least a 2:1 situation is when they are on those AC’s and Cannon’s. One guy was on the north cannon of SM last night for at least 4 hours.

As for the JQ who said they beat PYRO on EBG last night, this is what I saw while I was there, don’t know what happened after this, PYRO mumble can give you a headache fast with that many people in it. Thx for the bags though.

Maybe since your perception and others are different, you could control the conditions so there’s no uncertainty. Maybe a group from each side would meet at a spot and face each other. We could call it GvG.

In-game reporting does nothing really.

What they want to know:

1. Date/time this happened (accompanied with video/pix)
2. Server, location on map
3. The toon name you were on when you witnessed it/the griefers account name if you can get it, or their guild name.
4. Details of the griefing, include as much as possible.

Anet’s system will reject screenshots over a certain size, it’s more efficient to upload the images to a place like photobucket and just link the image/video URLs.

I think EU uses the true RNG (just look at some of the crazy matchups) … But I do tend to think NA is massaged a bit because of all the complaining. Otherwise we would see an eighth rank server up against a 2 or 3 server on a consistent basis like you do in EU. And you did see that initially in NA matches, but it seems to have stopped. NA RNG is far less volatile.

Most dueling in WvW is way out of the way of the main battles and with very few numbers participating so it doesn’t detract from WvW efforts or take up gross amount of queue space.

I personally do it to improve my class. I am delighted when someone stomps me because it gives me a puzzle to figure out to get better the next time. Improving my class also makes me more effective in big pushes.

I don’t spvp myself. Have never cared for it. But I do like having the choice of flipping an objective or taking maybe 5 minutes for a duel all in the same map without having to zone out.

The entire guild I am apart of on TC was disappointed when we saw that we were still matched up against BG and SOR Friday. Pretty much all of the main WvW guilds have decided to sit out of WvW and do fractals and other PvE stuff instead of give the other two servers free bags it would seem.

Most people only find WvW fun when they are winning, which is anet’s biggest design failure. Losing in spvp? Get a new game in a few minutes. Losing in WvW? Play a different game for a week because you can’t beat the enemy’s numbers.

Make defending and being outmanned more rewarding and fun than being in a giant circle-cap zerg and people will care less about losing.

Actually classic TC always had the most fun (and frankly was at| its best in all shape and form) when it had one lone tower on all four maps and everyone was bunched up inside trying to figure out how to get another. The server always used to thrive on adversity and just get tougher. It’s partly how the community was borne.

But I suppose all things change.

It was for all the bg trolls who claim TW can’t do anything without a map zerg. This bg hate towards TW is pretty amusing though.

It’s fear, I would love to read/listen to BG’s chat when they realize TW will be on their map. TW has farmed every single BG NA guild on a daily basis for how many months now?

RNG plays a factor in matchups, but so does rating. Slip below a certain rating level and be at the mercy of RNG. It appears to be more wildly skewed in EU more so than NA, but there have been servers “stuck” in lopsided matches for months. Three weeks is not long. It’s just JQ’s turn.

I think people get lazy when they fight in big numbers and have zero incentive to improve their skill and learn their class thoroughly. When you don’t have to improve and grow in order to win, most people won’t. If you stop growing, the game stagnates because there’s nothing new to experience. Not everyone is in the game to maximize their class’s potential, but for those that are, getting stomped by 70, instead of being challenged by 20-30 is a zero win for both sides of that equation. Neither side walks away learning anything.

Well that’s a fine example as to why spawn camping (especially with siege) is a little silly.

If they can’t come out and fight you, or even try to flip a tower, doesn’t leave you with very much to do, does it? That’s why most servers don’t do it.

Haha Piken’s not dead at all. This goes in waves. People get burned out and take a break for a week or so, then come back. And Piken had a pretty decent reset night, was quite impressed with all. Colly dear, chin up, fight like someone’s stolen your chocolate, and never give up.

Oh this has been asked for since I think about BW2 weekend? I believe they can’t do it because it would give out a false-concrete finite number .. your spot out of how many are actually allowed on map. That seems to be a flexible number that Anet doesn’t seem to want to divulge

Well…maybe it’s time to stop megablobbing and take some action and actively prevent megablobs from forming by focusing on guilds raids, turn off the blue tag and run untagged. Play some open field and GvG.

Would require all 3 servers to actually WANT to cooperate, although that is unlikely due to lots of egos…but it’s ok to hope isn’t it

All these transfers are KILLING servers or making certain servers sooooo lopsided because they are “paying” for guilds from other servers to transfer. Big guilds come down to my tier all the time and swoop out hundreds of people and it’s making me HATE this game! They need to make transfers cost REAL $ like $20 PER transfer like warcraft did, not gold/gems. This would atleast make it less common in my opinion.

Transferring to a high tier server does cost about $20 already.

EQ2 used to charge $75 per transfer once upon a time.
