That is not what I said at all. I’ll probably have to do my track some day as well when I decide to work on another legendary. I’m not even high enough WvW rank to buy one right now if they brought the vendor back temporarily. I got my last one before they made that change, which was announced much better. I do not have a problem with doing the track when I need a GoB. I have a problem with how poorly the change was announced as it seems to affect a lot of people given how often this topic is brought up. Therefore, I think a small grace period to make it available via vendor would be well accepted by most.

You are right you cannot equip the same ascended trinkets.

With the exception of a few raid rewards, all ascended trinkets are unique, meaning you cannot equip two identical items at the same time. You can, however, equip two ascended items that have the same attributes but are different in whether they have been infused or attuned.

However, support has been known to solve this problem for others by letting them exchange it for a different one. You will need to submit a support ticket. The link is located at the top of the page.

Here are things new to the game that don’t require HoT (and are fun, too):

It should be noted that shared slots are a gem store purchase. They are not just included in the core game. HoT accounts do get one free included with the L80 boost.

My Mesmer: 567 hours / 750 deaths.
My Revenant: 112 hours / 61 deaths.
My Ranger: 221 hours / 82 deaths.
My Elementalist: 57 hours / 291 deaths (That was my SAB toon).

The rest I don’t play much. But it is obvious I’m not very good at this game.

Yes, you can still start your new L80 doing the personal story from start to finish just like you would a new character. To do so open your story journal in the hero panel and select it. You can also go to all the low level maps and you will be down scaled to the level of the map. So in other words, you can do everything a new character can just like a new character, only you will be level 80. Of course being L80 will give you some advantage in the lower level zones even with down scaling. All the hearts, vistas, POIs, and other things in each map will still be there waiting for you to discover and do.

My advice, start doing part of the personal story, explore low level maps along the way and see where it takes you.

Gw2efficiency gives you this info on account summary. I’m fairly certain that PvP deaths don’t count.

For my part, SAB ruined my deaths per hour ratio.

GW2E uses the API provided by ANet and is read only information. There is no risk to your account involved. It is actually the most helpful tool I have found in my opinion for many things GW2 related.

NA and EU players indeed cannot play together. You have to be in the same region to play with another player, party, or squad.

The support team works at resolving tickets in 72 hours or less. It seems at times they might run a bit behind. If you have not received a response after 72 hours you can post your ticket number in the tickets for review thread located at the top of this forum.

Yes please change. Also please consider giving a week or two grace period for players to buy GoBs from the WvW vendor as the announcement that it would be moved to a reward track was buried in the April patch notes and was missed by many.

Are the current moderators not players also? Though, if they were to expand their workforce with current players, I hope they are well well vetted.

To the best of my knowledge the current moderators are Anet staff members. I have no idea if they actually play GW2 as I have never seen it discussed. I do know that I can’t think of a single customer “player” on this forum that I would trust with that role.

You probably hit the daily cap. The cap is 15,000 AP from doing the daily and also includes points from the no longer available monthly.

There is a cap of 15,000 for daily and now-defunct monthly achievements combined. Once the cap is reached, additional points from the “Daily Completionist” meta achievement will no longer increase the account’s achievement points, but individual reward bonus chests will still be given out.

This. Old content can be a lot more fun if you find a player that looks lost out there in Tyria and show them around a bit. There are plenty of them around. Also by doing so it helps build a better and stronger community. In many cases they will remember your kindness later on and probably help someone else creating a positive snowball effect. I wouldn’t suggest leading them to the forums though.

You should be more worried about who you are allowing to access your account than apologizing.

I guess Anet agrees with the majority of people in this thread when it comes to competition in PvE.

No thank you to any kind of PvP in PvE. GW2 PvE is meant to be cooperative. If you want some kind of rush from competing against other players you have sPvP , WvW, guild hall arena and the daily activity games.

I’ve been exploring Orr and trying to do map completion there but there is one place that is impossible for me to reach. Something Balthazar where there’s a hero point behind something that spawns infinite number of Risen waves… someone on Map chat said it’s impossible to get to without doing pre-events first but no one was there to do any of these events.

I know that hero point. Here is how I get past it if it is not cleared. You need a revive orb to do it though. Perhaps you have one from login rewards or BLCs. Anyway what you do is rush to the hero point from the right side of the map that leads you there. Use dodges or what ever you can then die up against the hero point on the right side away from the vet when the mobs swarm you. Then wait for all the mobs to leave, look to make sure some other player does not rush up to spawn them again, then use the revive orb. As soon as you spawn again commune and you have it.

Other than that you can try a Spy Legion Kit as well. Just have to time it when you get to the hero point.

Don’t forget daily login rewards. Up to 16 every 28 days if you select the 6 ToKs from the Chest of Loyalty reward (10 if using it for something else).

Look at it this way, if you get enough ToKs from BLCs you can use them to level a key farmer. Then get more ToKs.

But yes ToKs are pretty much the minor rune/sigil of BLCs.

You can also open your world map and maps with rewards show an icon. If you mouse over it the rewards will be displayed.

It certainly didn’t ruin the game as a whole. I still enjoy much of the core game. The HoT maps, not so much after many attempts at trying to find the fun in it. However, I do think HoT damaged a lot of goodwill an unknown number of customers had toward Anet as well as trust that Anet will produce a product they enjoy.

Yeah it’s doable just really a pain having squad/party members in other maps all the time so the rest of the party can join them. I imagine there is a lot of time spent trying to find the proper map.

Actually dulfy.net has a farm for giants via an event, if it hasn’t been nerfed. Been about 4 years since I went for those titles.

I don’t know if that works anymore with the megaserver system. The dulfy method requires guesting to other servers as a group to increase giant spawn attempts. Megaservers might inhibit that now.

The wiki will give you general locations. It is going to take you a very long time for the giants though. They don’t show up very often.
