Well you were complaining it would take you until April to get your 600 gold. I just thought I’d offer some assistance. Oh, and it isn’t boring. It’s rather fun once you learn the ins-and-outs, but it isn’t for everyone because it requires some thought. Then again I guess tossing 4 rares in the the Mystic Forge over and over again is exciting right? It’s a mundane slot machine.

With my pace I’m earning my money, I could perhaps have 600G by the 2014 April, that is assuming I play daily, which is kinda ridiculous since I’m already quite bored with the game. Gambling is the only option it seems.

Most people on my server said that they got their dawn with approximately 300-500 attempts.
500 GS with current prices is 220G which is almost 1/3 of the Dawn price.

You should do some reading up on trading post day trading. A little Google will be friendly to you. 10-15 minutes a day can increase your gold earnings quite a bit with minimal risk. That might help you reach your goal sooner.

You can delete your characters and transfer for free. Make sure you put all items that are not soul bound in your bank first. Make sure you pick the proper server your friend is on as there is a 7 day waiting period before you can transfer again.

I didn’t get an Anet card. I’ve been naughty the last month or so around here. However, today I got a card from my cable provider with codes for 5 free on demand movies. I’ll take it.

You can transfer for free if you delete all your characters. Make sure you put everything not soul bound in your bank first. All your currency such as coin, karma etc. will stay in your wallet and go with you as well.

I very rarely see anyone there on TC. I think the last time saw an actual group of people some guild mission was going on or something like that. You don’t need to transfer to check out other servers since you can guest there and see if the map is populated. Try all the very high population servers and see what turns up.

You can do this by going to System Preferences > Keyboard > then check the box that says “Use all F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys”. After doing so when out of game if you want to use the special features on top of the F keys like adjusting volume your will then need to hold down “fn” to do so.

Since you can move while in map this would only work if the invulnerability was dropped if you moved while in map. Otherwise if you know an area well enough you could use it to skip past certain mobs while running with map open.

Well have fun with that. It isn’t like it will have any impact on whether Anet will introduce open world dueling. They have already stated that some form of dueling was on the table at some point. I don’t think this thread is going to dictate how they implement it. Dueling debates are about the same as mount debates, pointless really. But hey, fight for your cause all you want if that is how you choose to spend your time here.

I am happy to see Anet get some good marks for some of the great content they added in all the nitpicking over small parts of each updates is becoming boring to read from these forums.

Seriously what long term benefit did SAB add to GW2? How did it improve GW2 overall? Can you play SAB now? It was a side game. Nothing more. It may have been fun for many but it in no way improved the overall quality of GW2.

I’m sorry but for soemthing to be considered an award winning expansion/update it should have a long term affect on the game. I’d rather see Anet use their resources on something more meaningful than temporary 8 bit knockoff games that are not even GW2.

On the forums this is your display name. It is also your display name in game for followers and friends list. When you create a character you give it a unique name of your choosing. For example say I make a Warrior and go through the character creation process. At the end I am asked to name it. I will have to come up with a name no one else is using. So let’s say I name it Rodgort the Burninator. As long as that is not taken that will be my character’s name and that is what people will see in chat and on the screen when playing that character.

I have already created my character and while registering I chose my character’s name as well. While on page 10 of character set up it asks you to sign (character’s name) and it said mine was already in use. How you do I use the name I have already chosen?

What that means is the name you have chosen is already taken by someone else. GW2 has unique names for characters. So you will need to think of a different name as it appears the one you selected is already taken by another player.

Read over a lot of it. For the most part the Mac client works decent but communication from Anet related to the client is terrible. F- to be exact.

And my opinion is I would have rather seen GW2 recognized for adding something more permanent that actually was GW2 play and not a temporary 8bit side game. If I had a vote in it I would have said it was the addition of the wallet system. Kind of sad but true.

At least the wallet is permanent. When was the last time you got to play SAB?

Actually, thinking back if I had a vote it would have been Bazaar of the Four Winds since we are talking updates and apparently not permanent content updates. It came with a new map, ability to trade in stacks of low level mats for skin tokens, DEs in the map, champion fights, all sorts of fun skills to zip around the map and explore, and a now permanent mini game. It was the most well developed temporary update I have seen.

Better communication from Anet and honest answers as to the state of the Mac client. Anet showing respect for their Mac customers by improving dialog in this forum. Not having to beg, complain and go out of the way to get a response from Anet when there are issues with the Mac client.

Edit: I forgot to mention this but IMO it is most important. An official statement from Anet as to the state of the Mac client. I would like them to be honest and let their Mac customers know what plans, if any, there are for the Mac client going forward. It’s fine with me if there are no plans, just let us know that officially. Right now all we have is a blurb from an PAX interview video but no official statement.

That’s kind of funny since SAB really isn’t GW2 play but an add on game that is temporary. Last time I checked I can’t play SAB at the moment so I don’t really see it as an expansion. Toss in it had a lot of bugs.

My ranger still rocks, my necro still rocks, and funny enough I didn’t have to reassign their abilities, because their trees didn’t get messed up like ele.

Anyway, giving a weapon swap ability to ele’s would not be OP or out of line with the rest of the game mechanics, especially in the way I described it.

I’m not even sure what you are on about at this point talking about rangers and necros. But yes, Ele weapon swap would be way OP. It is pretty clear cut. Time for you to /exit thread or stop trolling via stupidity.

Level 80 a Mesmer if you PvE. It is a ton of fun and not as squishy as people here would make you believe. When it comes to managing multiple targets I love my Mesmer.

I think weapon swapping in combat for elementalists is appropriate. The ability to switch between a long range and short range weapon on demand is an essential one in some large fights with phases, and certainly hampers elementalists.

That said, it does need to be implemented slightly differently due to the large array of attunements elementalists have.

I would suggest allowing in-combat weapon swapping, but with no cool-down erasure. In plain terms, if a player used ability ‘5’ in fire, then this ability would still be on cool-down after the weapon is swapped. This would mean that the only way to take advantage of abilities not on cool-down would be swapping attunements like always.

This would allow elementalists to change their distance to target mid-fight like most any other class, while not allowing the elementalist to doubly unload an attunement in burst fashion.

LoL, yeah I bet as an Ele you would love that. Ele Wars 2. haha

I agree so perhaps we can open a dialog on how Anet plans to improve communication with Mac customers. We really would appreciate it.

For example with the gem store bug: “Post your specs” then days and day with not even a word saying that it is even being worked on.

We all know the Mac client comes with issues but at the same time as you have seen there are customers that want to give Anet money. A little bit okittennowledgment on a regular basis would go a long way. I’m not talking about some person that posts 2 days a month but someone that tells us where we stand on a regular basis. We should not have to ask in other forums to get attention.

That is great it is a fix but it is a user fix not an Anet fix. Many people may have this problem that won’t see that post. Odd that players could come up with this but Anet could not. Anyway, I’m glad some got a way to work it out.

Although I don’t even know if this bug affects me because I don’t buy gems anymore, I encourage all of you with this issue to stay proactive. Please remain civil, update your support tickets, don’t submit multiple tickets, and if the answer you receive from your support tickets does not solve the problem (ex. use Windows) update your ticket again. That is really the best that can be done at this point.

I just wanted to bring this up again real quick because there are customers with Gem cards/money that still have not seen an update and would like some feedback/news.
