Well that change is rather unfortunate. I wonder why they would do such a thing. I would certainly appreciate it if it was reverted to its original animation.

It isn’t browser dependent and has been broken completely for a few weeks now. Before that it would only return a few results at best. Hopefully the fact that it doesn’t do anything at all now means they disabled it to work on it.

When I become the best player in the game, probably around the end of next week by my calculations, I’m going to transmute the appearance of starter armor and weapons onto all my awesome stat gear. That way if you happen to see me on one of those days I just don’t feel like playing totally awesome you won’t wonder what is going on.

I went to that area once. I saw all these contested areas and tried to clear one, died about 20 times in a row, left, went back a few more times and experienced the same thing and then never went back.

This thread has really gotten goofy and off course. Wait for Anet response on the issue. Everything else here is just people bored looking for things to type about, including myself.

The female human Magitech armor has what I would call earrings but it also kind of looks like a bluetooth ear piece.

People mostly just rez NPCs for it anyway because dead NPCs are all over. I would love to meet a player that got their “Combat Healer” title rezzing 1,000 actual players.

As stated above me, I don’t think I have ever seen a downed player run past. In fact I was trying to stay dead for a RP event and people kept rezzing me even though I kept asking them not to.

Granted but houses are of Ascended quality and require ascended materials and crafting to 1000 in all 8 crafts.

It most certainly does if you are a player that searched servers to find a community that you liked. Most servers tend to have different personalities and mindsets. That is why certain types of players gravitate to certain types of servers. People have paid to transfer to certain servers because of the community there. People don’t transfer to servers solely for WvW reasons. I imagine corralling players into a shared community would not go well with a large part of the player base.

The problem isn’t the servers it is the areas where there is not much reason to be there. If Anet were to incorporate such a merged zone idea it should be voluntary. “Do you wish to enter the shared server zone?” type thing. I’ll stay on my server thank you. That is if I’m not pushed into overflow due to people guesting on my server. :P

The only chair I know you can sit on and look normal is at the end of that jump puzzle in LA, the one where the lights go off and on at the end. If you are Azura you can sit on the thrown where the chest is and it actually looks right.

Granted but the only place they take you is SAB W2 Trib mode which you have to complete in less than 5 minutes before you can go back to world. Logging out and back in will not work.

One of my favorite things to do in game is help new players and show them around and such. I’m on TC. I don’t play all the time but feel free to look me up if you are there.

Ritualists return but then giant mega-troll spawns and rips all their heads off, throws their bodies into the mystic forge which spawns mega-troll’s wife and together they burninate the country side and the peasants.

I wish Mesmers had a permanent swiftness buff.

I wish a giant mega-troll would spawn and rampage through all major cities and zones, killing every player and npc, rip thier heads off, stomp on them, stick them on spikes and set them on fire. Then burn every city to the ground and kill all the armor repair NPCs permanently.

i dont see why this would be bannable but you’re really screwing a guy over if hes super low and gets 1 shot by everything . that doesn’t really teach them anything about how to play the game . Nor is there really a reason to rush a guy to high end areas in GW 2 .

I’ve seen some guilds do it for a guild activity. Run a no armor L2 to the far end of the map race not using waypoints and sometimes designated routes that make it more difficult.

Would it get you banned? I don’t see how unless you were using some exploit to get them there. As far as I know there are no minimum level rules for entering different zones.

Maybe is really complex to remove chars slots, but at least lie to me and say that. They actually said that rarely they make refunds. Im not even asking the money back, just the gems.

Perhaps you should post in the account support forum to see if you can get assistance with your issue. If you do make sure to include your ticket number and hopefully during the week Gaile will offer some assistance or at least be able to elaborate on why they cannot provide a refund. If you do so there will probably be a few regulars respond to your post but just wait for Gaile for an official answer.

You can craft those with an artificer. Could get expensive if it becomes a habit.

“Unlimited Use ____” would have been more descriptive but it doesn’t sound as nice.

I ended up picking up an Endless Toymaker’s Tonic off the TP. That thing cracks me up more than the furniture one. Also when you jump around with the faceless doll the sound it makes creeps people out.

I couldn’t find the mats to make the furniture one or I’d get it as well.

A. Player housing has been discussed for some time now. There are some rumors that it is planned for the future. Some of these rumors come from the fact that we already have a home instance and the rumors expanded with the addition of the personal mining node in the home instance.

B. Guild halls are a constant suggestion on this form. Again there are some rumors that this will occur in the future. Personally I think this is highly likely.

C. New quests and in my opinion new dynamic events in some of the less visited zones would be a welcome addition. Along with all of these suggestions keep in mind that GW2 is just a little over a year old and I’m sure there is much more to come.

When I’m in Queensdale I like to help new players. I go there often just to do so. I’ve seen some new players in the zerg train asking questions about where to go next and what not. I offer to show them the routes and WPs as this was the information they were seeking. After I show them then I generally say something like, “So, have you gotten the skill point in the swamp yet?” or “Have you done any jump puzzles yet?” Then I borrow them from the zerg and show them around a bit more outside the champion circle. The response has generally been favorable.

Well that’s all good and all but you know this could have been done and even was before the champ rewards came along. I used to go there and throw my commander tag up and offer to take anyone wanting to right through all the chest locations to and through to the end of the JP.

Did I say i didn’t do things like that before the champ trains? I was responding to your thoughts on how they are bad for new players and how I try to help players get outside the zerg to find the actual content. I do it without a commander tag too.

It isn’t browser dependent and happens to everyone. It went from little to no search result to not even doing anything. I can only hope this means they disabled it completely because they are working on it. I can hope at least.

They generally will not accommodate username changes unless it is to protect the users own privacy such as using their real name. The reason for this is that usernames help Anet keep track of each player’s account history in the event they need account assistance or for disciplinary action such as language violations. Additionally the username helps other players that may have blocked the person and so forth.

This is a simple and very obvious request, but I think those that offer to buy an item given a set amount of price and a set amount of items to be bought at that price should be allowed to remove their offer at will — even if it had a 3 day restriction, it would still dramatically clean up the TP and help people get their money back!

As a side suggestion, you could also add the ability to order your items for sale by the amount of items you have. For example, if you have 1350 Elder Wood Logs for sale, then that’ll go to the top, and below it will go the 386 Mithril Ore for sale.

If I understand you properly, and I may not be because I have not had my coffee yet, you want to be able to rescind a buy offer and get your money back. You can easily do so by going to the same window where you see the items you sold. Click the drop down menu at the top and select the items you are buying option. Then click remove for any items you no longer want to buy. You will then get your money back.

Sounds like the event was of some benefit as you found out your guild was probably not the right fit for you.

If you loan someone $20 and you never see that person again it was probably worth it.

Most will say the point is to entice you to buy keys and this is probably accurate. I buy keys every now and then if I have some gems left over from other purchases.

I do enjoy the graphics but the removal of culling kind of made it worse for me as far as the quality of other players and even at max settings it does not change. I do like all the small details in the game and the thought that must have gone into them. I mostly enjoy the diversity of things to do in game and that fits great for someone like myself that does not play a lot. Some of the LS events have been the exception but I’m not an achievement point hunter so it isn’t a big deal.

I’d say I give Anet and GW2 a solid A- and I’m strict on grading so that’s pretty good.

The truth is, you didn’t have to be locked out of the pavillion. All you needed to do was going with a group of people who had already unlocked the pavillion and do the dungeon with them (since you could enter the dungeon without doing all the prerequisite stuff as long as someone else started it).

I took many many people in my guild through that dungeon to open the pavillion for them, even though many didn’t have time to do the invasions.

I didn’t know that. I’m also part of the “doesn’t read up on stuff much” crowd.

Just consider yourself as a tester for the NLFG tool.

I would think by no later than L40 or so a player would have figured out they didn’t like the race they were playing and roll a new one. Oh, and here you go OP

No,no,no…. Like I said you have to remember this is GW2 we are talking about. Read around the forums, watch map chat. Players demand their ‘shiny’ things. Things they can wear or carry to show they completed a task. Things that no one else will even notice they have or care about. ‘Shiny! Shiny! Shiny!’

You forgot to mention what kind of ‘shiny’ people get. Remember this is GW2 and unless there is some kind of pretty reward they can lug around with them that no one else will even pay attention to anyway, then they won’t do it.

Those computers should give reasonable performance, however, one of the latest updates seems to be giving a sizeable portion of the iMac players a lot of trouble. I don’t personally have (or know anyone who has) an iMac and plays GW2, so I can’t tell you confidently that it will play well…

I’m playing on a late 2012 iMac:

Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB

I can play at mostly medium settings and maintain frame rates around 40 in medium population areas and low 20s in larger zergs (and sometimes in the teens). I don’t have any serious problems aside from the normal Mac client glitches with TP bugs, gamma bug every now and then. The main issue I see right now came after the removal of culling update. In the options for character model quality the highest setting available is medium for some reason. This leads to characters that don’t have brighter colors appearing with bland, generic, flat colors. Bright colors look fine.

I’ve cranked up everything as high as it can go to see if this changed it but it doesn’t and I think it has to do with not having a high setting option for character model quality. I’m pretty sure this was available when it was the setting for WvW. I’m really not happy about this since I have no way to improve it no matter what settings I use. I’d rather have culling back as opposed to half the other players looking like they are all wearing light grey tones.

To be honest if GW2 is a top priority for you I would suggest, gasp, buying a Windows machine. You will get more gaming power for the money you have in your budget and the game is Windows based which of course will give better performance on a Windows machine. If gaming was less of a priority for you then I would certainly suggest an iMac.

I’m color blind so depending on the location of the blood and size of the drops I probably wouldn’t be able to see it.
