Can’t you just split the stack into the number you want to mail them?
You could check out this thread but to be honest if they were to ever do so you could probably level up and gear up an Asura well before it ever happens.

There is some guild/guilds that still organize it in overflows they post in the guild forum. I think once the event was over most people went FYGM and never turned back.
I must say that is one heck of a username you have.

I see this on the wiki page and say no thanks:

Basically all the past dye kits released for new events have that same odds to get one of the exclusive dyes.
I know and that is why I won’t be buying any.

My, at the time, main and first level 80 is a Ranger. I do 99% solo PvE stuff. It was fun for a while and pretty good for solo PvE but it got boring fast. For me it was my learning profession. I could stay at range and avoid a lot of damage. I’ve had my Ranger on the self for over a month now.
I have a main Mesmer now and it is a lot more fun. It just seems that there is so much more with the mechanics and various weapon skills that make it more interesting. Not having a passive swiftness boost is kind of a bummer. However for PvE when I want to travel faster I run with a focus with boon duration increases in traits and use skill 4. I think I have it to about 7 seconds of down time between when swiftness runs out and before I can cast it again. Just don’t make a giant Norn or Charr Mesmer because even though they don’t actually go slower it looks like they are due to the animations. Also one of the perks of Mesmer is being able to portal people at jump puzzles and it’s harder to do jump puzzles with Norn and Charr.

For the most part I will not do content I do not enjoy. However if I’m an achievement or two from finishing the event and if I have time I might do the last few even if I don’t enjoy them and if they are not too time consuming. More often than not I won’t bother with it though. I play this game to have fun and there is no reward in the game that will get me to spend hours not having fun. I have plenty of obligations in real life that are not fun so I’m not going to do the same with my game time.
A good thing to do at lower levels is do the hearts and exploration in the other races starter maps to level up more before entering higher level areas. A lot of people do Queensdale as the map is pretty easy to navigate. Then you can also do the starter maps for Azura, Norn, and Charr. By then you should be more than ready for the L20 and above zones.
It is the same interface as the trading post in game. Click the gem icon at the top. You can press the “o” key to access it anywhere.
I report people abusing others but I am beginning to feel its just not enough.
People that abuse others in chat will end up ostracizing themselves. People will continue to block them and eventually they will find they are talking to themselves in chat with a few 72 hour vacations. People need to let the system work and stop making a big deal out of it. It isn’t like garbage talk in chat is new and unique to zerg farming.

Do not be alarmed when your display name is changed as well, it will most likely be an anagram of your present one.
This would be a good one

what is bewbs?
Okay, I’ll play along, it’s fairly common slang for breasts. So in your next rename after your vacation I would suggest you avoid using that.

It sounds like you didn’t learn from your warning. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what "bewbs’ refers to but it does take some level of maturity not to use it in a character name, twice.
Good grief this again? It is pretty simple. Play the way you want within the rules. If you want to go kill something kill it. If you want to zerg in circles for hours do it. If someone says something to you that you don’t like block them. If what they say violates the language policy report them and block them. This, “well he said this and then so and so said that” stuff is juvenile. In certain situations I just turn /map off so I don’t have to read all the childish dialog and I go about my business as usual. It makes things easy.

Hmm it has always worked for me but I use a mouse button for it. Then again my Ranger has been on the shelf for several weeks so I don’t know if something has changed.
The window is 72 hours (3 days). If you do not receive a response by then post in this thread with your ticket number:

If I recall it should be listed in the key bind options as Profession Skill 1
I don’t think there is a need to antagonize the OP. Without knowing what server they are on it is hard to say what is going on. As a few others have stated some servers chat more than others. Also the OP mentioned that many come together for events but depending on the event this doesn’t always = more chat. A good litmus test I would think would be to go to Queensdale where a pretty steady amount of player are and chat is fairly regular especially when waiting for the boar to spawn. In most cases it is not uncommon to see less players in medium level zones.
To the OP I would suggest that you guest to Tarnished Coast if you are not already there and in you are on NA servers. Have a look around and see if you notice a difference. If not there then try guesting to other servers as well. Also as others mentioned try to find a good guild of like minded players. This can enhance your communication with other players dramatically.
As far as an actual “skin” they are 1 time use and you choose between PvE or PvP. You can use it on your armor without any other “devices”. However once you change or upgrade armor you will need transmutation stones if the armor is below L80 or transmutation crystals if the armor is L80 if you wish to keep the appearance of your skins. I hope this makes sense I have not had my morning coffee yet.
Safe to get iMac and play GW2? / Parallels?

Cool. I was asking because I’m looking to get into iOS development and the only tie I really have to PC is GW2. Other than that it’s all the same: interwebs, email, netflix, etc.
Then get an iMac.

Here is my opinion for what it is worth. If you are planning to purchase an iMac your decision should be for reasons other than gaming/playing GW2. All my computers are Mac, 2009 iMac, 2012 MacBook Pro, 2012 iMac. I have very few problems playing GW2 on any of them but I don’t run any of them at max settings. That said, the fact that GW2 runs fairly well on my Macs is just a bonus. If gaming is important you should stick with a Windows machine. I have not run anything through Bootcamp or Parallels because my personal preference is to not put Windows on any of my computers so I can’t provide feedback on that. I have seen others here report some improved performance running through Bootcamp.
I’d post my 2012 iMac specks but I’m not home for a few days and don’t know them off the top of my head. The game runs fine on average settings and I really have not had many issues aside from some tearing (rarely) and the TP issue which is not exclusive to Mac. Just from memory the specks on the iMac you posted are indeed better than my 2012, which makes sense. I would think you would be fine but then again reading this forum it seems spotty on what works with what Macs.
As a new player myself I need to add a caveat that from what I have found, quite a lot does indeed take place at level 80, and while the game will scale up your stats, I find I am not competitive with “real” level 80s in most respects. That said, I agree that there’s no rush, and a ton to do.
That is more applicable to WvW and is very true. The up arrow says, “Hey! Come kill me first!” in WvW. However there is a ton to enjoy in PvE open world that is great to take the time to enjoy as you level. I recommend every new player take the time to experience the PvE world as they level instead of rushing. My first 80 I level crafted from 50-80. My second character I just played the PvE game and found so many cool things I would not have seen otherwise. It was so much more fun and worth the time.
I salvage every item that sells for less than 2 silver after fees on the TP. Since the new system started I’m at 83%. I don’t play much. I’m one of those dirty causals so maybe 10 hours a week max.
Reference to illegal drugs (even if it isn’t illegal where you live). Change your name and move on.
Does it just say “suspended” then? What do you see when you try to log in?
It normally tells you how long when you try to log in. For example the standard for a first time language violation is 72 hours. I have never experienced it myself and don’t plan to but I think if it was for a language violation it says so.
Keep in mind that if you have been suspended it may not be for something in the last few hours or what not, it could be for a violation earlier that has just been followed up with by Anet.
I agree the gem store could have more and I’m a frequent gem purchaser. That said, on the other hand whenever something cool is added to the gem store it draws out the, “ANET is greedy!” crowd and they complain resources should be used for other aspects of the game. It seems to be a no win situation.
Well IMO Warrior and Guardian are good in PvE yet boring, especially compared to Engineer. Rangers are okay as far as solo PvE roaming but it takes learning when the pet can be a liability. Ranger was my first 80 but I am bored of it now. I am leveling up a Mesmer now, level 60ish at the moment, and having a lot of fun with it. I will say the first 30 levels involve a fair amount of armor repairs if you play Rambo style like me. I just really enjoy the heck out of seeing my clones and phantasms causing havoc. Plus if you master a few jump puzzles you will make friends quick with portals.
I CAN’T PLAY GUILD OF WARS 2 NOW! IS INCREDIBLE! i can’t do nothing
There have been a few staff members that have stopped by this forum since I have been here the last 6 months. I’m not sure where they are anymore. I would suggest you try submitting a support ticket:
are lengendaries random drop from monsters or dungeons?
No they have to be crafted and have special effects like footfalls. They can be bought on the TP as well for a very large amount of coin. Most consider them top tier weapons because you can change stats on the fly but others don’t care for the effects they leave. Some players seem to make it their game mission to obtain one and others couldn’t care less.
Welcome to the GW2 community. Here is a great thread from the Players helping Players forum you might find useful.

I think for the next axe it should spawn beavers that chomp down the tree. Chainsaws are too generic and there are already greatswords that look like that.
I’ve been playing computer games since you had to program them yourself. (BASIC, anyone?) played p&p D&D….
Haha that brings back memories. I was the kid that would go to Radio Shack in the mall and program my name to go all over on the screen on the TRS-80 display. Later I had a Commodore Vic-20 with a cassette tape drive. I remember many hours with my nose stuck in Commodore magazine coding a game and many times having it fail. I had a few games for the cassette drive and would get home from school and start loading it, go watch cartoons and come back an hour later and maybe it actually loaded.
My RP also started with p&p D&D. Those were the days were most of the graphics were in your head aside from a few pictures to look at in books. Things certainly have come a long way since then.
Next time your there tell Tequatl he can find everyone in the Queensdale swamp waiting for the new “more difficult” SB to spawn.
The big problem some groups have with him is people trying to play at range too much and running into his launched candy corn attack. Then they die and either wait for someone to rez them (people that try usually get killed too) instead of taking a WP or take the WP and run straight into the candy corn barrage again and die again. They do this over and over expecting some different result I suppose. Depending on the size of the group that probably takes out 1/4 of the group on a steady basis.
I thought the OP said he was rolling a Thief?
We’re still barracking for our favorite professions. A lot of people come to this game from other games, and roll a thief, expecting it to feel like a rogue profession in other games. Many of those people end up rerolling.
We’re preempting. lol
Okay I was confused because it went from the OPs introduction, his excitement to play and looking forward to playing a thief to a “play this” no “play this” thread.
Good call though. My first character was a Thief and having played UO in the late 90’s once I noticed that the Thief steal skill wouldn’t allow me to steal items and coin from mobs, NPCs, or other players I rolled a Guardian.
I thought the OP said he was rolling a Thief?
I’m colorblind and pretty much can’t see any of the plant nodes on the mini map. It’s a bummer because I really dig the new harvesting sickle and would like to use it more than when I just happen to stumble across a plant which is not very often.
In regards to unable to…as I said in my reply to them…they are the developers of the game. They control nearly every aspect of the game. How hard is it to spawn gold and send it in mail?
That is hard to say. Customer support staff are most likely not programmers as well. They are given a set of tools to work with that allow them to perform certain limited functions such as account roll backs, reinstating accounts and so forth. If they have not been provided with a tool to replace guild banks then, well, they probably cannot do it. As for mailing the gold, perhaps they cannot verify it was in the guild bank to start with and who should ‘own’ that gold if they were to mail it. While characters are backed up regularly it doesn’t mean they have a similar feature for guild banks.
There are certain situations in most types of customer support where staff members hands are just tied and they can only do so much. It doesn’t mean they don’t want to, or because they are lazy, or just to tick you off. If anything I can see being unhappy that there is no method available to them to do what you requested but that really isn’t a customer support issue but more of a technical limitation issue I would think. Perhaps you should post a suggestion in the suggestion forum regarding a allowing support staff to be able to roll back guild banks as well.
I didn’t read in their responses that they ’don’t want to’ but instead that they are ‘unable to’. Perhaps they do not have the capability at this time to restore guild banks and other guild functions. I know it seems like it is something that they should be able to do but it doesn’t mean they can.
The fact that he’s wasting his life with Netflix and and twitter and tumbler only makes me more certain that you are winning at life…
That’s probably debatable. To avoid any sort of argument let’s just call it a tie.
Sorry guys I RP as the representative of Divinity’s Reach CDC. Not long ago my team and I discovered a strange virus spreading in Salma District. Shortly there after residents were mutating and attacking those without the virus. In turn those bitten also mutated. My team had no other choice than to board the place up to stop the spread of the virus.
At this time it is estimated that there are no known ‘survivors’ and only mutants looking for more Human, Norn, Charr, and Asura hosts. For some reason they are not drawn toward Sylvari. Experts believe that this is due to Sylvari facial features being similar to the mutants.
Our next plan of action unfortunately is to burn Salma District to the ground to ensure the virus does not spread outside of the district. We are currently recruiting engineers for this project, must have your own flamethrower, Sylvari a plus.
I also started with UO, well MUDs if you want to count those. Like you I died a lot my first few weeks until I got used to the mechanics and strengths and weaknesses of each profession. I’m still bad at the game and still die a lot but not as much aside from my Guardian who is named “Mr. Dies A Lot” but that is his personality to go Rambo style.
Overall I would say that I am bad at the game as a whole. My old eyes are tired of staring at screens for many many years from both work and play. So my slow reflexes and general lack of interest in being great at the game usually win out. However, I still enjoy it and find ways to enjoy the game that are more forgiving to my lack of skill.
I have found that most of the PvE content isn’t really super difficult once you get used to it. It can be frustrating at times but isn’t what I would consider requiring “elite” skill. I usually run about looking to pick fights with mobs, exploring new places and whatever else catches my attention during the few hours a week I play. I won’t do PvP because I’m burned out on that stuff and once again my lack of interest in becoming a good player doesn’t lend well to it. I dabble in WvW at times but usually just hand in the zerg or run supply.
I think unless you have played a lot in the last 2 weeks it is probably hard to determine what professions you can or can’t play well. They each bloom in their own way and some take more time to learn or to become more viable depending on what aspects of the game you want to do. I always thought I would never play Mesmer after trying it for about 20 levels and then getting killed non-stop. People always said Mesmers take until level 40 to reach potential. I started a new one and now at L32 I’m having a great time and will probably make it a main for awhile. Guardian is a great profession to start with because of survivability while you learn the mechanics.
Give it a little more time. My survivability went up dramatically after the first month of play, aside from “Mr. Dies A Lot”
tl/dr: No you are not “That Guy”, I’m “That Guy.”
