I’ll take the shoe and the canine excrement please. There is a place near me that takes oddball shoes for the homeless. The canine excrement would be a nice addition to my compost heap. That compost makes my plants and garden look great. Your gifts would not only benefit me but my community as well.

Search function as a whole is one click away from worthless. It’s totally broken and I don’t know why Anet doesn’t bother to try and fix it or at least acknowledge that it is a piece of junk. They even stated in this thread that it was fixed. LOL

Playing the game.

I got mine doing that pavilion zerg stuff.

I just geared up 4 alts with the pick axe I missed during the original release. I didn’t get the harvesting sickles because being color blind I can’t see the plant resource nodes on the mini map anyway so unless I run straight into one I pass over them. I didn’t see the logging axe though I want more of those. Maybe I over looked it.

Can’t really show it off when it is so far behind you no one sees it near you and they don’t know who it belongs to.

I thought I would like them. Then I used one and saw that it not only deactivates when changing zones but also never keeps up with me. If I travel any distance I turn around and it is half a map a way. Seems kind of pointless unless you are standing in one place most of the time. I suppose they have short legs but I guess they are not for me.

I never suggest the remember password option. Using it just removes one more layer of security from your account. To me the more secure I can make my accounts the better. Just type the password. You will be surprised how fast you memorize it. I use passwords that are as about as complex as possible and never the same one for any account, email, banking etc. I have them all memorized just from regular logins. For a back up I keep a log book with them out of reach from any prying eyes.

This is a weird fix that has worked for several people when it gets stuck like that. For some changing the language to French to finish the download and then back to English has worked.

Are you sure it said there “was and error”? When I buy gems it takes me to a page that says “if” there was an error to contact support.

If you had fun using your skill to do jump puzzles the way you want to why do you care how others do it? The portal mechanic is part of the game so people using it are not taking advantage of an exploit.

Same problem with DR too. It’s the only place I get this but the ground looks like a mirror for about 10 seconds or so until it loads. It doesn’t happen in LA or any place else. Also with “character model quality” set at the highest (for some reason the only highest option I have is medium) other players colors now look flat and dull unless they have really bright colors like bright blue but even that doesn’t seem as good as it used to. It’s odd because hair still has good color. NPC still look like they did before.

I don’t know, this update seems to have been a big step back as far as the quality I get now. I’d rather just have the culling than this mess. The quality of other players images went from good to poor.

I would like it if the stow key kept the pet stowed until I clicked it again even if I take damage. Like you said, I don’t see the point of stowing a pet if it pops back up every time a mob looks at me wrong. Falling damage in jump puzzles is one example of when pets need to stay out of my business.

They are probably thinking people using the free trial should get to experience as much as the game as possible. Doing so may increase the likelihood of trail members buying the game . Maybe they should just disable you from WvW until the trial period is over so you don’t have to worry about it.

It isn’t urgently needed.

It is a rather strange bug and a weird fix. Glad you got it working and thanks for coming back to let us know.

There has been an odd sounding fix for some people in the past if they change the language to French and finish the download and then back to English it has worked. I know it sounds funny but I’m not trolling. I’ve seen it work for several people that have posted here in the past with a similar issue.

A gift is a gift. It’s 15 min of WvW Xp boost I didn’t have before. I don’t even do WvW very often but at some point I’ll use it. So I’m glad I got it even if it isn’t some mind blowing present.

The letter doesn’t give a reason. I think they might have given them to everyone. It just says in summary to enjoy it with instructions on how to get to WvW by pressing ‘B’.

Yes I guessed that and don’t worry your English is much better than my second language. I was trying to point out it is difficult to say things like more people want mounts than players that don’t want them. Just because there is a post here a few times a week doesn’t mean more people want them. People that post on the message boards can’t really represent the entire player base. If the majority of players read this forum regularly and posted here it would probably crash the forum. Personally I wish I had never found this forum because I find myself getting wrapped up in it and when I do I enjoy the game much less, especially reading the main forum.

Fortunately I doubt with the waypoint system there will ever be mounts. Mounts were one reason I left WoW along with the toxic community it had become. If mounts show up here I’ll probably hang it up as well. I don’t like seeing them, I don’t like the extra screen clutter, I don’t want a giant Norn on and elephant, as the OP suggested, taking up 3/4 of my screen. I just don’t want them because I don’t find them ascetically pleasing. That is where I stand on the issue and my thoughts on it are just as valid as the opinions of the players that want them.

GW2 has not been around for 8 years so I’m not sure what you mean by that. If you are referring to GW 1 , this is a different game. You can’t compare them because I am guessing there is a large group of players that never played GW1 like myself.

You are basically discounting the fact that many people do not want mounts in the game because you want them. You can’t use terms like , “minority” and “majority” if you don’t have access to the actual statistics.

Sorry if i made it rude, i did not mean to say all low level ppl are noob.

First of all “noob” is considered derogatory by many players. As in, “LOL noob”.

Second of all new players have just as much right to play all the game content as you do. If you want to improve your game play when you are in WvW with new players perhaps offer advice and try to help them instead of complaining about how you don’t want them in the same part of the game you play.

Lastly, your idea is flawed. A new player can easily level up to 40 in a few hours with crafting. This will not change their skill level. A level 80 may have only been playing for a week and not know much about WvW. There are plenty of players that have been around for a while that still play irresponsibly.

Gating game content from a select group of players because you don’t like the way they play is a bad idea and selfish.

You may want capes but no player needs capes as far as I know. I have yet to run into anything in game that required me to have a cape to continue or improve my chances of survival.

I imagine it must be pretty difficult. Look at all the clipping there is now especially with Charr. Large weapons clip into armor a lot and so forth. From what I know, and I could very well be wrong, but there is a little bit of give and take when it comes to optimization and clipping. I feel that Anet is doing their best to work on these issues but I’m almost certain fixing them isn’t as simple as point and click.
