I ended up buying 3 for the alts I play the most just so I would not have to put it in the bank each time I change alts. I finally decided to just get it for the convenience. I forget to take such things with me all the time which is why I like the harvesting tools as well. I’m not concerned with the cost efficiency.
Now, please, please Anet get rid of the confirmation buttons on greens.
Make sure you clean out old in game mails. If you are at the maximum 10/10 you will not get the new one with your item until you clean some old ones out.
Minis couldn’t loot because they can’t even keep up with you. I suppose they could loot drops you passed over half a map ago.
Facebook. Expose every mob too it and their brains turn to mush as they spend every second on it distracted from more important things like me killing them. No mobs would be immune to it. It would be way OP in WvW and PvP though.
I feel like people in general are just becoming more and more sensitive.
No it is the other way around. People these days are becoming less sensitive of others, less respectful, they live in their own little bubble and there is very little sense of community. This is especially prevalent on the Internet because people think they can say what they want, to anyone they want, when they want and hide behind a curtain while doing it. They don’t take into consideration that there is a real person on the other side of the monitor.
I don’t mind cursing for the most part but when I hear someone cursing up a storm at say the grocery store, I cringe because it is disrespectful and unnecessary.
Let’s see… I deleted a character with a full set of Aetherblade armor skins on it. I have messed up at least half a dozen transmutations by not paying attention. I bought a name change contract and then misspelled the new name and didn’t notice until I had accepted the change. Countless falling deaths from once again not paying attention. A whole host of other things and I think you can see the trend is basically from not paying attention. I don’t know if this occurs because I really don’t care that much or I have other things on my mind. Probably a mixture of both.
I think part of the problem is that a lot of people think it is “cool” to curse regularly in discussions with others. There really isn’t anything cool about it. In fact when I see or hear people doing this I feel that they are lacking in self-restraint. I will admit I too was that way at one time in my life. I didn’t necessarily think it was cool but I struggled with controlling it which I will explain.
I used to curse a lot and part of that was due to a certain environment I was in where it was very common and part of the dialect for lack of a better term. In some situations cursing was extremely excessive and certain words were often used multiple times in the same sentence. After a short time being exposed to this “dialect” I picked it up as well without really intending to. That is rather common for most people after being exposed to a certain dialect over a period of time.
After I was no longer a part of that culture I had a hard time with the transition. I recall reuniting with my family for the first time in over a year and the embarrassment I experienced when I let certain words slip out. Fortunately they were understanding and over time I learned to adjust to being in a new environment where excessive cursing wasn’t as acceptable.
To date I still curse at times but usually to myself and in some situations where I am with a certain circle and some level of cursing is acceptable. Sunday NFL games anyone?
In game chat there are many times I think of a curse word but I’m simply am able to filter myself and replace a word that is not acceptable with one that is and still conveys what I am trying to say.
tl;dr There isn’t really thing cool about cursing in public and IMO excessive cursing in game gives me the impression that the person is lacking in self-restraint.
Gaile needs here own mini with a special skill that deletes your old in game mails so you can receive your gem store purchases. It could also say at random times, “The language filter is not a license to curse.”
I don’t think they would just delete the gear that’s a bit extreme. However, if they change the stats to something random I just want to say this, “In before people running around with their heads exploding thread.”
I never got into magic find gear myself. I had a little on some alts and got rid of it already.
How many titles are there? On wiki there seems to be only a handful, the ones everyone have listed aren’t even coming to mind. Does anyone care to explain?
I don’t think the wiki has all the special event titles. As for the rest I don’t know either. Some of them carry over from GW1 achievements as far as I know. Perhaps one of those GWAMM players can fill us in.
If 23/15 deaths/hour is a lot… uh oh! Most of my characters have a deaths/hour of about 2, and my engineer has a deaths/hour of about 4 (I blame the journey to the gates of arah at level 46).
The character I mentioned and renamed does a lot of RP (his new name suits him better for that as well), a lot of trading and other “safe” events. I’d say if I subtracted the hours doing those activities I’m probably on par with your numbers, maybe a bit worse.
Getting married in real life is much more fun. For about the first 6 months then it all goes down hill from there. Don't do it man! Don't do it!
That is the main reason I never use mine and won’t buy any. I move a short distance, turn around, and it is half a map away trying to catch up.
Having something like that would probably bring out some bad in the community. I can just see it now forming a party. “Well I’ve been playing longer than you so do what I say.” “Lol you have only been playing for 4 months what do you know?” and of course the all so famous, “Lol noob!”
Also why should players have a treasure chest just for having and account for X amount of time? Time of account ownership doesn’t necessarily reflect anything related to game play. It isn’t a subscription based game so there isn’t really thing there to warrant a reward just for having an account. Lastly there are already a lot of titles that in one way or another indicate how much a person has played.
I think that was the idea. Put a coin (copper) in and see what comes out.
I don’t even go in mine for the quartz anymore even though I have an alt parked there.
It doesn’t have the 10% rarer chance and 20% recover upgrade. It has 0% and says so if you read it.
That is an error in the description on the gem store interface.

Keep in mind for some the novelty of the sound effects will be an appealing factor as well. For me I think it would get on my nerves even with the 10-15s cool down. I still may get one though just for the connivence and the fact that is account bound.
I would purchase this Salvage Kit if I knew that was of Master Quality and that I got one for each character.
Can anyone confirm if you get one for each character?
It’s account bound so you can use it on each character.

I know what you mean by that. A guildie of mine in GW1 died….a lot. We nicknamed him Sir Dies A Lot
HAHA, you and the others in this thread inspired me. I decided to rename my Guardian who has 23 deaths in 15 hours of play time “Mr Dies A Lot” Then I put the Combat Healer title on him because of the contradiction. I’m using it more as a tag signaling for healers.
I got to test it out right away. I went to the Pavilion and a boss spawned. Everyone was standing on a ledge just kind of looking at it. So I shouted in chat “RAMBO!!” and jumped my little Azura Guardian upscaled from level 22 into the fight. I died. However, it seemed to encourage the others to charge into battle.
I didn’t think about using titles to match the character. That’s pretty cool that you all do that. I suppose I could use Combat Healer on my Guardian. Actually they need the opposite of that title for me, “Combat Casualty”. It would suite all my characters. I would have earned that one in my first week.
I’m a bit curious about how players feel about their titles and if they display them.
If you have multiple titles and display them which ones do you like to show?
Do you switch them around or use certain ones one certain characters?
Did you pursue/farm your titles or did they come naturally through the course of playing the game.
I have been playing close to 4 months and so far I have 3 titles.
- Combat Healer – Most of it came naturally from rezing NPCs along the way as I played. I did rez a fair amount of players but since I don’t do WvW and other events where players go down a lot the number was maybe 15%. I did farm the last 100 or so NPCs because I wanted that first title. I displayed this title for a short time but then didn’t feel anything special about rezzing basically 1000 NPCs. IMO the title would mean more if it required rezzing actual players.
- Sanctum Sprint – I got this one the real way from a legitimate first place win and not by friendly players letting me win. I was rather happy about this because I’m terrible at such things. I think I displayed it for a few days but then turned it off after doing more races. I didn’t feel it meant much just winning one race. If the races had been tiered based on wins, say 5 wins moves you to the next bracket and so forth I think it would have meant more.
- Master Crafter – I earned this one partially on my own through experimenting with crafting and then the rest using guides to level up some alts. I displayed this one for about a day. I suppose there is nothing fancy about using a guide to craft level alts. It more or less shows you have enough coin to do it.
It seems most players display titles and I can respect the game play that got them their titles. That being said, I tend to notice players more that I’m sure have earned several titles but don’t display them. I guess this stands out to me because it doesn’t seem to be the norm.
At least it is account bound instead of soulbound like the harvesting tools. I’m uncertain if I will buy one but that might push me in that direction. I posted this in another thread on the topic, but if it disabled the confirmation box when salvaging greens I’d be sold on it just for that.
If it took away the confirmation button when salvaging greens I would probably get it just for that.
It’ll probably get removed with the advent of the Magic Find revamp.
I hope so. It bugs the heck out of me when I have bags full of greens to salvage.
If it took away the confirmation button when salvaging greens I would probably get it just for that.
That ain’t no earring. That kitten has a bluetooth. Must be Asuran made.
LOL, it certainly looks like it.
On another note I don’t think I would ever really notice earrings on my character or others. I don’t go around looking at the sides of other character’s heads very often. Heck, I don’t pay much attention to any other player’s gear unless something really catches my eye and that’s rare. Earring skins isn’t something I would invest my resources in obtaining. I suppose if some ticket or skin fell in my lap I would use it but only because I had it and if it could not be sold.

Something isn’t right here if you take a glance at the OPs post history.
If anyone gets and NPC it should be Gaile from the “Account Issues” forum. You should see the stuff she has to deal with there. Gaile Gray for NPC!
Who would play Frankenstein?
These are pretty popular suggestions on this forum. I have heard rumors that both are in the works but no ETA. Again those were rumors I have read around here so I can’t confirm.
I’d be creative. I’d make the biggest Norn Warrior possible, gear him up in the largest spikey armor possible, dye it all black (maybe a hint of red), get the largest greatsword possible (maybe a Twilight), stand around in populated areas in Lions Arch and Divinitys Reach and spam my attack skills. Oh wait….. Make that biggest Charr possible Okay, never mind….. I give up.
As a suggestion for your suggestion I suggest this thread be visited regularly with our feed back. I try to remind Anet in that thread about every 2 days or so.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/forum/Search-feature-not-working
Wow only 11 results for the word “guardian”. I would have guessed during the entire history of this forum that there would be many more posts and threads on the topic. I guess the search function doesn’t lie though. O_o
Perhaps there should be an event completionist guild. Guild tag [FYF]. Use your imagination when thinking about the tag.
I seem to only get a bunch of stupid exotics weapons I can’t use. I said a longbow darn it a longbow!!!! Another darn Dusk!?!? You have to be kidding me. What part of longbow didn’t you understand Anet???
we can wear in real life cultural clothes of other races and that doesn’t defeat the purpose of the dress at all
when i was in japan studying i often wore kimonos or yukatas
GW2 isn’t real life.
I don’t believe this is an actual account issue. Perhaps you should post this in the suggestions forum.
Other than that, there is the option to delete all your characters and transfer for free.
My least favorite professions are the ones that don’t have a permanent swiftness signet or trait. I made the mistake of rolling the largest possible Norn Mesmer. Part of it is perceptual due to the size and animation but drat that thing seemed slow as all get out. His life in Tyria was short lived.
As for the professions that have it, I think the swiftness buff they get is fast enough.
My vote, I don’t care either way. I’ve never watched one of those videos but if you all like them then cool. I almost never interact with NCPs unless they are merchants and such. I never pay attention to their looks or names anyway. So if the suggestion goes through I’d never even notice unless his NPC was giving away free stuff.
I think they are swapping it with .02% discount on waypoints.
Wouldn’t that kind of defeat the purpose of them being cultural armor? Consider it kind of a benefit of playing a specific race if you like their armor. My Sylvari looks the part in the cultural armor. I don’t want a bunch of Humans and Norns running around in it.
When you are on the character select screen it will tell you at the lower left.
Back in the days the graphics and controls were bad, games glitchy.
I agree but I kind of miss those days.
O. M. G.
Anet has to add this to the game!
People think griefing is bad these days. Ultima Online in its early days was one of the forefathers of MMO griefing LOL.
I hesitated to read Dulfy for some time because I’m one of those figure it out myself types. But having limited time as well and if I see an achievement I want to obtain during that time I’ll check it out for some pointers. Dulfy was pretty much the only reason I got the Lessons From the Sky achievement during Four Winds.
I play as another form of entertainment and fun during my expendable time. By that I mean I consider other forms of real world leisure such as social events, recreational events, exercise and so forth not part of my expendable time. Those activities to me are part of my quality of life time for lack of a better term and are necessary for my personal wellbeing.
When I play GW2 it is normally in between events I mentioned above. I generally don’t schedule playing time. The game works for me because I can pick it up and put it down at any time and not really feel like I lost anything. I might miss out on a few laurels but even with dailys I can often work them in during my playing time if I have a desire to. Often most of the daily achievements I complete when playing as normal.
I almost never do the same activities two days in a row. For the most part I don’t lose out on much by playing this way. I enjoy the game much more mixing things up and almost never play the same alt for more than a few days in a row. If I start to feel a bit frustrated when an alt is in a certain place during its “life” I can shelf it and swap to another one. I certainly don’t play the game to beat my head against my monitor when I start getting angry due to game play.
tl;dr It fits in nicely between my quality of life leisure activities. I don’t feel like I miss much by not making it a primary source of entertainment. It’s easy to switch activities up to reduce burnout and enhance the game play experience.
do you know how?
Unfortunately I do not. I just recall someone suggesting it in a similar post some time ago. I tried to look it up for you but the search function on this forum useless. Dig around in the account support forum because I’m pretty sure that is where I saw the post.
They are designated as unique. Anyway, I don’t know all the details because I don’t buy those items but I recall a post where someone said you can infuse one some way that will enable you to use both.
