Still fairly new and I never really had magic find until this account based junk. I never had a problem gearing up and making coin without it. Of course I used planing and didn’t go nuts on the TP when I saw things I liked.
I have yet to see a solid argument stating why the addition of mounts to GW2 would be detrimental to the game.
Full size Norn on a mount standing/running in front of you takes up even more of the screen than it does already. Possible clipping nightmares. Extra screen clutter that some people like myself find detrimental to the game. Possible increase in lag due to extra images being rendered. Finally people that do not want mounts and do not want to see mounts for what ever their reason would indeed find the inclusion of them detrimental to their game.
Well why didn’t you suggest something to fix those reasoning’s. Here I would like to help with that. How about a check box in the options that allows anyone who doesn’t want to see the mounts to disable them. Even if you yourself is riding a mount if the check box was clicked it would just show your normal running animation. Now that would surely allow you to not have those reasons be a detriment to your game play, while allowing the ones who love and would not mind seeing them a chance to have the game play they prefer. Its so much nicer if you could help come up with the idea’s that help shape the idea, so everyone could benefit.
Hey if they could do that I wouldn’t care but you make it sound like on top of adding mounts it would be a simple point and click to make a choose not to see them option as well as to make the character’s animation appear normal to those who choose not to see them. You get pretty defensive and quite honestly snotty over this stuff. let me help you with that… You act like the people saying they don’t want mounts are actually keeping you from getting them. I don’t even know why I get in these pointless mount threads. I doubt the game will ever have them anyway so this whole, “I want mounts and if you don’t you are just trying to keep me from getting them.” stuff is rather pointless.
For one last vote since you act like it is keeping you from getting mounts, I don’t want them. I don’t like the way they look and they add extra screen clutter.
I have been getting that luck stuff from blues rarely and greens often. I’m not going to buy a bunch of junk just to salvage to increase my MF. I get enough junk in the open world to salvage for luck. I feel like I would be spending more by buying junk to salvage than the worth of the items I might find due to magic find, many of which I might salvage anyway. Really I’m not sold on the whole MF thing as it is.
I’m pretty sure that someday there will be a mental illness nicknamed something like “MMO Syndrome.”
I’ve discovered a new problem called Stupor Adventure Box
Hello,
My BFF & I
Your big fat friend? That’s not a very nice thing to say about someone you want to game with.
I have the stupid wigs from mobs the rest from jump puzzles I think. I run the 3 in LA every day because it is quick and easy so I’m pretty sure that is where I got them.
During a good week I get maybe 4 dailies done. Typically they are completed through normal game play with the occasional kill some ambients, craft or visit a laurel vendor. I’ve been playing a little over 4 months now and I still have not figured out what I’m missing on the days I don’t aside from a laurel and some other junk. My characters stay the same level, their gear is still there, and all my gold too.
I suppose I can see leader board hunters getting worn out with it. However, I imagine that fighting for leader board spots entails doing a lot of stuff for points that could seem like a grind or boring task.

While it is somewhat interesting that you discussed your reading assignment while playing SAB most people who watch it will only hear and think, “jump, jump, kill monkey, jump, kill monkey, jump, jump, jump, kill monkey….”
I might check out your read though. I need a break from Stupor Adventure Box.
They are all 0/10. You don’t need a legendary to look cool when you have one of these bad boys. 10/10++

Their overall treatment and general lack of communication to us and to even their own moderators/employees on these issues probably comes down to money i.e. mac players don’t buy enough gems with real cash to be considered to even be worth the time..
A few months ago there was a bug that would not allow mac users to buy gems. It was addressed immediately and fixed in a couple of days. It is the only bug I have ever seen openly addressed and in turn fixed in a very short time. So they must want some of our money.

I can’t even beat the stupid frog at the end of world 1 on easy mode. HAHA maybe that will make all you hardcore types feel better.
If I were you I would contact support. Buying a bank slot that can’t be used because you re maxed out is an issue because to my knowledge there is no warning before you buy it. Hopefully they will help you out.

“Ask a Question”
This is true, although their is also no way to proof it didn’t happen as stated. Good customer and business practice would be to have them help the customer. Anet gains a lot by offering good service, although can loose a lot by not offering a good level of service. From the player no long playing and taking friends with them. Or worse continuing to play and not do any micro transactions with the company.
Account security is the responsibility of the account owner. If an account is truly hacked they give the account owner a one time roll back. If they get hacked again they are out of luck because they didn’t take measures to secure their account after being hacked. In the OPs situation they let an “evil little brother” access their account by not taking the proper measures to make sure others in their house could not access it.
People “rage quitting”, not paying attention and deleting items, spending a ton of gold on something and then regretting it and so forth would be bogging down support with all the “evil little brothers” flying around. IMO support is in place to assist customers with issues such as bugs, log in issues, and other account related issues that occur by no fault of the customer. If I leave my computer open with my login to my favorite pizza place and my kid orders 10 pizzas I’m just going to have to eat those pizzas as well as the cost.
I have to ask how he got access to the account? Did you leave GW2 running and not lock the computer? Win button + L is your best friend in an insecure environment.
Unless their on a mac.
And a little brother should count as a third party, they are not anet, they are not the account holder they are a third party that accessed the account with out permission.
The problem with this is there would be a flood of “little brothers” deleting characters, items, gold and so forth. There is no way to prove that the account holder didn’t do it themselves. From following this forum for a bit it seems there are a lot of mean little brothers, little sisters, cousins, roommates, and mailmen that love deleting people’s GW2 stuff.
It would certainly be more fun if they did something with SB to make it interesting. As it stands now they might as well just have people stand in the area for 15 minutes then give them a chest and some loot and forgo all the animations and auto attacking.
this is what anet hears when you buy the gems for the coppermatic
I bought 4. I find them very convenient. I don’t care about spending money on them.
As to the OP, the other infinite tools have good sound effects as it is I don’t see a reason to add more. They do need to sell them more often though. I’m an alt aholic, I need more.
How about “Master Card” ?
So are you saying you dont want notifications on-quote? Seems a must-have feature for every forum. Whats the point of quoting someone if they arent warned about it?
I do not. See every time someone does something like I just did you get PM spam. If someone is fairly active on the forums the inbox limit could be filled up pretty quick. I don’t want more PM junk than I already get every time a thread is moved, merged, deleted, and looked at funny. As I said if it was optional then sure go for it. Of the very many forums I have been a member of over the years, the ones that offered that made it an option which I immediately turned off.
If someone cares that you quoted them they are probably following the thread as it is and will see it on their own. That’s what I do. Any thread I post in that I give a hoot about I generally revisit when I see it has new posts. It is a simple yet affective technique.
Because it isn’t a fishing game?
Not until they fix the search function first. Also -1 I get enough PM junk mails every time they move, merge, or delete a thread to tell me they did so. I don’t need to have to constantly clean out my inbox because others quote me. If it was optional I suppose that wouldn’t be too bad but they seriously need to fix the search function.
Somehow when I’m standing around those mobs that are also standing around decide not to stand around and give me the gift of armor repairs.
SAB is a huge time sink, no EXP and not coin for doing it. I messed around with it for a bit and did not have fun. I played enough 8-bit games when I was the OP’s age. I’ll be heading back to GW2 and if I want flash backs to the 80’s I dust off my old NES.

Is it just me or is it kind of odd that one of the most popular things in GW2 isn’t really GW2 but a 80’s throwback platform game placed inside of GW2?
My main is a L80 Ranger but I’m terrible at this game so I pretty much just solo PvE longbow/axe/axe with the occasional torch or greatsword. I can’t really play and type at the same time either. I’ve never done a dungeon due to those reasons but if you feel like engaging in an exercise in frustration (I’m talking SAB Tribute Mode X10) then I might be game.
I don’t want mounts because I don’t care for the extra screen clutter and quite honestly I don’t care for the look they add to the game. Fortunately I doubt they are ever going to include mounts in the game aside from riding sticks.
I ignore that forum as much as possible but I have a bad habit of reading it at times. The very few constructive and positive threads get little response and buried quickly by all the griping. Since the last update it is nothing but a bunch of grumbling about ascended junk. I find I enjoy the game more the less I read the forum.
Maybe it’s just me but if I had that name on a character I’d be thanking Anet for a free name change.
That being said, belching is a somewhat similar bodily function and they made a mini game out of it.

Yeah I’d rather have 0% for achievements. Good call.
I don’t get what all the hype about this super adventure bus thing. After hearing all the buzz about it I was looking forward to checking it out. I walked in the portal, had some flash backs of video games I played in the 80’s, saw a bunch of people jumping around on trees and clouds and I took the portal back out.
why not? id say at least in the mists to practice with your team members in between matches or in the WvW instead of always jumping in pvp rooms which sometimes just feel completely non organic
I do agree, I would have no problem with dueling as long as it was in the Mists or some designated area. Open world dueling, even with auto-decline options breeds a toxic environment.

Edit: As long as it was in the Mists I couldn’t care less.
The sound has a 10-15 second cool down so it isn’t that bad.
I don’t care about either. I’m just going about my business as normal. I’m not going to grind away for something. I play to have fun and if an item requires me to go out of my way grinding junk and spending a bunch of gold just to get one sword or whatever I’ll just pass it by.
I don’t really buy into all this magic find stuff anyway. The best items I’ve ever had drop were with no magic find. Maybe it has just been odd luck but who knows. I gave up on magic find stuff well before the news came out they were dropping it.
Actually disposable income in the US has been fairly steady the last 7 months after a 4% drop in January. So I wouldn’t say it is decreasing rapidly. It’s about on par with 2012. Skip a couple of trips to the drive-thru or a movie or something. $8 isn’t that much but round it up to $10 since that is the minimum amount to buy gems. Remember that Anet is a business and making money is part of the plan even if the money goes to NCSoft first.
As far as personal guild bank, I don’t see how that causes people not to interact. Make the guild bank, deposit whatever, then go back and rep the guild or guilds you have been hanging out with. A personal guild bank isn’t going to cause someone from spending time in their normal guild or guilds since players can be in up to 5 guilds.

This would be nice. I didn’t want to use my Shattered Dragon wings for a long time because I was like… it’s a back piece… so I can’t use the white item xmute trick to make it account bound and put it on another character… if I give it to one character I’m stuck. Ended up making it an SPvP item just so I’d never have to choose.
I think you can if you use one of those plush backpack sets. They come with a white back piece.
It seems to not do anything at all now. Maybe that is a sign they are working on it. I guess we hope so.
What Rodgort is really missing is a big meaty arm that flexes whenever you use his skills.
Haha I didn’t even know there was a legendary, or any item for that matter, named Rodgort until I saw this thread. That’s pretty cool.
You had 30 days to get it done.
-Thread-
While the window is 30 days not everyone has 30 days of available playing tim to do their monthly achievements.
I have to give you credit for giving things a shot. I’m not sure your post will garner any results as far as Anet replying to you. They probably get people contacting them all the time with similar things. Also I think, “Icarus: Age of Immorality” is a catchier name and might get more attention.
Anyway, good luck in your ventures.
Guesting it fine to a point but with some of the events that are unrolling it will mean more lower pop. servers guesting to higher servers for better odds of completing a event. If you read the new Teq event you’ll see that low pop servers will have serious problems getting it completed at all but the highest activity times. This in turn means server natives will find themselves more and more into the overflow by folks attending or even just parking a server waiting for a event.
This kind of bugs me about guesting during lots of major events like this. I don’t like the idea that someone can guest to my home server and take a spot that might push me into overflow. Then I end up in overflow and if people who had guested to my server got into overflow before me they are ahead in the cue.
Character size problems in jumping puzzles are nothing new. Try doing some of them on largest possible sized male Norn. I don’t know if this is an issue they can correct. I keep my Azura as my jump puzzle alt. There are many jump puzzles where as they say, size does matter.
Really? Skills must be used in that order, not based on the situation?
Not sure if…Of course not.
You can always arrange every skill you’ve acquired for each weapon your class uses and rearrange them in the skills bar…
Oh, wait… Maybe not.
There’s a lot of things wrong with GW2, but players unwilling to use button 3 before button 1 is not one of them.
Heck, even I know I don’t have to press ‘1’ first every time. I even learned I don’t have to use ‘1’ for auto attack, or even use auto attack at all for that matter. I might just get crazy and press ‘4’ first sometimes. Wait I don’t press ‘4’ because that is mapped to ‘mouse 3’ now. I must be transforming into one of those ‘hardcore’ players.

I try to watch as little video as possible. I don’t like YouTube videos, too many people that just like to hear their voice coming from the screen. It bugs me when I look up a tip for something I’m trying to figure out and the first page of results are 15 minute videos of someone talking and flipping through their inventory for 14 minutes and 1 minute showing what to do. In many cases a few pictures and a couple of lines of text would have sufficed. I guess I can’t complain too much though, after all I was the one seeking info.

Please turn lightning strikes off at the finish line if it is possible. It is really annoying standing there waiting for the race to finish and getting hit by lightning every 5 seconds and not being able to do anything about it.
