I get that with a lot of armors. I think it depends on what the texture and light cast on the armor is supposed to be. Some of the Aetherblade Armors do that is well. Some parts of them won’t take different colors well at all.

Probably for the same reason you can’t search by armor class. I’m still waiting for that one.

The thread gets buried quickly because it’s the same 10 or so people who are asking for duels, and the same 100 people saying “nah, we don’t want PvP in our PvE”. Then the people asking repeat, it hits the first page, then they get all distracted for a while and it falls off again.

Overall, between the merged open world dueling thread, and the 4-5 merged ones before that, the GW2 population as a whole isn’t interested in open world duels – and any other dueling is covered with the arenas.

I was trying to say it in a nice way.

Oh, I read all of it. In summary: It should require more effort to start a guild. You only have 5 people in your guild despite advertising.

Edit: Oh and I just looked at your advert in the Guild Recruitment forum. IMO it could have used a little more flavor. You didn’t even provide the guild name, just the tag. It was only a few days go since your post. Give it some time.

I love my bank guild. Me, myself and I. I don’t see why that should bother anyone. My guild isn’t doing any harm. I even have my own guild kite.

I agree, I think there should be more much more difficult content. I won’t lie, I’m absolutely terrible at this game, probably one of the worst out there and I still find more than enough content for me.

I do see regular posts and comments about things being too easy, standing in one spot using auto attack and so forth. It would be nice if there were more individually challenging events for those that want to exercise their skill. Champions are a nice thought, but especially now they are just getting mowed over. I’m not sure what the answer might be. Perhaps some scaling individual dungeons or something like that. I’d enjoy that setting the record for most wipes ever.

If they falsely report you they are putting their own accounts in jeopardy because it is a violation to submit false reports. A /map screen cap might be your friend next time it occurs. Just don’t post it here unless you edit the names out.

Aside from the search function which is 1 click away from totally useless.

I find myself getting caught up in this place much more than I would like to. I found that I actually enjoy the game more when I pay less attention to the forums, this one in particular.

I don’t believe you can transfer an account to another person. So that may solve your problem.

Have you tried clearing out old in game mails? If you are at the limit 10/10 mails and you clear some out it should arrive.

That has nothing to do with what you are suggesting the OPs friend to do. All that does is say they will review cases for refunds if necessary. It does not say something like, “Buy now and if you don’t like the game within 5 days we will refund your money.” You may think it’s a good idea but it isn’t. It’s shady.

Not EVERYONE. I hate underwater areas. I avoid them as much as possible. That being said I don’t care if they add one. I have plenty of other things to do.

I see you put a lot of thought into your suggestion and I commend you for that. However I always find it odd when players claim adding something to the game does not require a lot of work and is simple. We don’t know that but given the complexity of the game itself I don’t think it would be as simple as some may think.

There has been an ongoing thread on this that gets buried pretty quick. I can’t pinpoint the reason but I’m guessing many people are apathetic about it. Please make sure you read through and notice some of the less than courteous comments related to the topic. I feel that some of the attitudes displayed by a few people in the thread only shows why there should not be open world dueling.

I’m not completely against dueling but if added to the game I think it should be instanced or in some designated arena.

Two, if you buy via the official site (and it’s no longer $60, it’s $50, little better ) you can get a refund (although that does permanently close the account, so if he does want his money back, ask him to delete all his characters so the names aren’t tied up >.>)

Refunds cost Anet more money than just returning the cost of the box price. The buyers card used to purchase the game the first time will be blocked as well. Also, and this is a big one, it can also be considered fraud to purchase and item and request a refund just because you want to test it out or work around the issue that there is no free trial. If there were some kind of bug or other problem that inhibited the buyers ability to play that is one thing but buying it and asking for a refund to in essence get a free trial is shady at best. I highly discourage the OPs friend from doing this.

I would suggest not using that character in game for risk of it being reported again. You might consider contacting support in the mean time.

Your characters and stuff will be there. That stuff stays on GW2’s side of things.

Generally in summer it’s 35 degrees and up here on a good day; the joys of having an atticroom. (which is 95 fahrenheit. eyeroll at ridiculous systems )

This is true but make sure to google the reviews and legitimacy of those free programs as well. Some of them are almost worse than the stuff they are suppose to remove.

I often get agitated but I know how to practice self-restraint and not spout off a bunch of swearing in chat. There is nothing “zen” about it. It’s about knowing how to act appropriately in a community setting.

Basically your suggestion is asking for a change of the rules. Instead of getting suspended you want them to change the rules to only block offenders from chat but still allow them to play. Personally I think the 72 hour suspension for excessive violation of the language policy is too short. I would have gone for a week.

People already complain about “gambling” in GW2, RNG and so on. Having a lottery would have people in the forums running around with their heads exploding.

The ToS you agreed to when you first joined the game is considered your first warning. The 72 hour vacation is considered your second warning. These are the rules and if you ever visit the account support forum you will see that you are not alone in earning some time off. I don’t think that rules is going to change. Don’t curse in chat, it’s pretty much that simple.

Ranger: Fun with axe/axe watching them bounce off the heads of a group of mobs. Pet boar named Pigasso

Mesmer: Fun to wreak havoc with phantasms and messing around with portals in cities.

Engineer: Fun with flame throwers for the ambient killer daily.

Elementalist: Dagger/Dagger can be pretty fun.

Necromancer: Death Shroud comes in handy for getting to some of those mob infested POIs

Thief: Dual pistols, throw on some Metallica on iTunes and run around mowing down mobs when I’m bored.

Guardian: Snooze fest.

Warrior: Bigger snooze fest.

You are welcome but keep in mind there is much more to discover with Rangers than bows and pets. I keep a LB on me for distance/pulling mobs but use dual wield options on weapon swap, usually axe/axe. Regular swords and greatswords can be fun too. Enjoy and safe travels.

You will probably get a lot of different answers from other players covering almost every profession. I’m going to chime in first and say that I have alts in each profession and for me Ranger has been good for soloing. I do 100% open world PvE and it has worked well for me.

JT, I don’t think a Grub Story Mode would be that interesting. It would mostly just be born—>grow big—>zerged by WvW players.

I don’t need to play a grub to be zerged by WvW players. I accomplish that easily playing the existing races, aside from Aura as I refuse to play them.

On the other hand, how awesome would it be to see an all Grub zerg?

No if he is on his server, creates a character and then guests to your server he will still have to either delete his characters to transfer to yours for free after the 7 days or pay for a server transfer to keep his characters.

It’s just the way it is set up. Some of it is to reduce server hopping I think. Like I said he can still guest and play with you and then opt to delete his characters or pay for a transfer. Then again since you have been playing for awhile you might have considered telling him what server to join first and avoided the problem.
