No Kiw now it’s 10,000 for 20AP repeatable.

The party masks (also fairly horrible but more detailed) were 400 gems each…some face paint is now 500gems as is the new place holder price for helms.

If anyone has this combo I’d like to see it. Still don’t think that face paint is worth 500 gems but if you did buy it and have the hammer please post a pic or video.

In Pve it is really boring actually. All any player needs to know is that your gear 99% of the time should be Berserker (or zerker / assassins mix) with scholar runes. Zerker trinkets.

Would love this to change but I doubt that will ever happen.

You got lost in what way? Obal’s build is as far as I know what most min/maxing guardians use currently.

Could the big news be; More 500 gem Helms with less and less work being put into them but charging more and more?

so are you using all rares? some exotics? I’ve been using exotics only recently. blew through 1k gold to get a dusk, longer than normal cold streak but could be worse.

I see you used a number of different weapons? Care to explain which ones, why, and which sigils?

I usually play Ranger in spvp but guardian for everything else. Never wanted to be a bunker on him so I am interested in your perspective. Thanks.

I actually do use Obal’s build and enjoy it very much. (Thanks to Obal) I thought it was an interesting video.

I don’t disagree that it’s fairly selfish. But you can simply add wall in and lose 1 signet. You could even swap around 10 pts as he suggests at the end to make wall even better.

I must be missing something else? There are a lot less blinds that is for sure.

For pure DPS isn’t this true? I realize that renewed focus is the more “go to” Ult generally. But it’s more for survivability right? Also resets burning which can be nice as well.

Not a direct quote but I can see how you came to this conclusion from what he was saying about elitist players and the tone it sort of implied. What I took away from that was that those players are going to provide you with certain benefits (fury for example) that will make you change the build.

He does mention in the video that you should sub out utilities as you need them for different situations. This is what all guardian builds do. So if you need WOR then you would drop one signet and add it as needed.

He did address this in the final notes I think, about variations of the build when playing with a static group you can depend on to give you things like Fury, or banners. This build takes into consideration that you won’t have those things most of the time.

Really? I apologize for asking you to watch a video. I should have posted what the build is. The tool tip link is less than a few minutes of the video in the bottom link.

If you feel this way about video builds and having to watch them in order to have a discussion you could have simply not responded.

But since you did respond:
What makes these better? “(10/25/0/0/25 iirc) , 20/30/10/10/0 or 20/30/20/0 would also be better, or pretty much any comparable setup”

Or perhaps a better way to ask is to say what makes the build weak when talking about a DPS build.

First Let me start by saying this is not my build. All credit goes to Nemisis. I have not seen him or anyone else post it yet so I thought I would. I simply enjoyed the video and thought it interesting to discuss others thoughts here on the forums.

It’s a long video but very detailed. I’ll do my best to pin point some specific areas that were interesting to me. Some of this might not be new news but it was to me. (about tool tips)

Q: How does this compare to other Guardian DPS builds?
Q: Some initial concerns when looking at the build and gear?
Q: How does this compare to Obal’s build? (Note: I am not looking to start a flame war, so please don’t make it that, it just happens to be the build I currently use and like.)

Interesting points about the tool tips: (Have others known about this for a long time and has there ever been a response from AN about this? — I apologize if this is old news to most)

It does drop the mini as I got one 2 weeks ago. I have no idea on the back. I bought mine from the TP as one never dropped for me.

If we don’t get news of an expac in the works by the end of 2014 I’ll be disappointed I think. I know we have LS and the content produced there is enough to fill an expansion (for some) there are key pieces still missing for me to consider that we’ve gotten an expansion for free.

Simply stop using the forms and stick to reddit, or Guru or wherever. Going even slightly off topic can result in an infraction. There are a lot of rules to follow if you dislike them then it’s best to not even bother.

I am not saying I approve of name calling or the such but these forums feel a lot more restricted than many other MMO boards in the past. Just my opinion on the matter.

Instead of removal just moderate it better.

edit: As a player and a fan of this game, it feels like any time something is broken or not working the solution is to remove it. In game, in the forums, wherever. Why is this always the solution?

I have all the mini plus 700 cogs left. I made a few mini’s and a few potions and bought the rest.

this is very sad. If a Dev or a mod see this can we understand why this was unstickied? it was a good thread, much of that information is still valid.

I do not have an SSD but most maps load fairly quickly. I do know that I am unable to keep up with frost gorge farmers and have to skip 1-2 bosses if I want to keep pace. I just can’t load as fast as many of them seem to be able to.

LA is usually the only other place that is problematic. Can take a good 2-3min sometimes. My computer isn’t old either and my HDD is 7200 not 5400 as some laptops or older HDDs are.

I wish I had your luck or patience or whatever it is Rhino. I am tempted to make sunrise but I dunno… it’s a lot of gold. Also not sure who to even give it to.

Mystic forge stone will pop out a precursor but it will be a random one. I’ve done it a few times now. Sometimes it’s a “The Bard” and sometimes its “spark”

seems like a lot of gold for 1 color that is character bound. Might be more worth while if it were account bound. I am not saying that all dye’s need to be this way but it would be nice if the RNG ones were. We are going to be seeing a lot more of these in the future sadly.

I have 600 cogs. I bought whatever mini’s I could not make last year. So the reward meta is no good for me??

I am missing one of the RNG minis from last year but they are not making a return? Can any Dev shed some light on these things?

Are my cogs useless? would love to free up bank space if they are.

I guess I am a bit torn. I pug a lot for fractals. I don’t have a steady group to run with. That DPS on GS / S-F looks amazing and it’s clear that hammer doesn’t even come close (I know it’s not supposed it — it’s for protection)

The gs/ s-f build will become stronger (higher DPS) but the hammer build is still what you use for high level FOTM?

I am likely to sell them for gold to be honest so I tend to collect account bound only ones. Although with all the 3 packs you have to buy twice to get a 4th I kind of stopped bothering. That being said I do like Ho Ho Tron. Have a few of him now.

So I am wondering will these be available or are they? The lightbulb golem, mini infirnium etc.?

I had the same thoughts. Why remove it? generally removing items like these are bad. I don’t mind I guess because I have no interest, (I fear many do not) but why remove it?

So I have to say I like the effect on the Grenth piece, don’t really like the look which is a shame.

The dwayna I had my hopes too high I think. The wings are way too small and the feathers in my opinion should have been the same ones from the bow. When I was asking for angel wings I kind of envisioned full wings like the dragon ones, but angel-ish.

I like the effect on them, just wish a little more time was spent to make this a full set of angel wings.

I bought them but really wish things like this didn’t expire. the more in the store the better. I am not a fan of limited time to buy items. limited sales? then sure that’s great. but I don’t like them being removed. just my opinion though.

I can understand being a little bummed. I’d personally like rage but then again I’ve never had one drop. Would have been nice to get one worth some gold I am sure.
