then don’t make ascended gear. It’s not a must have as you mentioned. Their intention was for exotic gear to be hard to get, or at least take some time, this was a miss on their part as we all know how easy it is.

Huge opinion here. Many on the forums agree with you though.

Also there was some RNG involved, but there were static rewards as well. Just happens that most people did not like those rewards.

I agree that the chest wasn’t amazing but I don’t feel it was as abysmal as everyone is making it out to be. Then again I WVW often enough that getting the basic achievements done wasn’t a big deal. I could see how this would be a lot more work for less populated servers though.

sure lets give people a full set of ascended armor which is coming out on the 10th and just by pass that. lol

I am not really sure what players expected out of these boxes. Precursors for everyone?

I do wish that the finished was either unlimited or I get to keep it until I run out of charges. There should be a little something to say “hey we won or did well in season 1”

I suppose we got a mini for doing the meta and I like Mini’s but I know a lot of players could care less.

Are you guys referencing the build I linked? Not sure if that is Ascii’s or not, might be I don’t remember. Gear might have changed a bit but if it is his build then I would have directly copied it.

I noticed that a lot of the builds here seem to prefer pure Soldiers gear. Is there a reason for this? Is precision that bad? Can someone explain their reasons as to why you guys seem to believe this?

In my build I am running knights with zerker weapons. Precision is clearly a main stat I use. I am always looking to improve so I look forward to input.

I am not a commander, I don’t feel comfortable leading. But I do play on the front lines of the zerg.

But that’s not true for the ones you could build / buy? I don’t understand that logic. It’s ok for the RNG ones to not come back but it’s ok for the ones you could build / buy with gems to come back?

On top of that I paid for some of them last year directly from the gem store (I was happy I could) and now that is the reward. Wouldn’t a better reward be one of the RNG Minis where were harder to get?

This is the build I am using with gear. Pretty sure this is what Ascii posted a while ago in what he was / is using.

Looking for some feed back, thoughts and observations. I am fairly happy with the build. For Roaming I tend to switch out for a more condition heavy build but this is what I use for zerg and general game play.

can we get an official response as to when we can expect the next patch. Just so we know. I didn’t think there would be one on the 24th.

My guess is that you’ll have to craft a new set. This is how weapons worked.

I kind of assumed we’d get to pick which Mini Gummy. Perhaps that’s foolish of me to assume though. Hadn’t considered the alternative until now. I hope we do get to pick..

The Toy’s were not RNG, and you’ll get one for the meta. There were a second set from gem store presents last year, those were RNG and you could make Festivus with them.

What about a power mix? What gear to use?

My wife plays a spirit build and I am trying to help her gear up. With the changes coming I am not sure which direction to take it in.

Gear wise what do you guys use or plan to use? I was thinking Clerics / Carrion mix? Going for a power / spirits build.

I also considered some sort of Celestial mix? Thoughts on this?

probably none. Eventually I might look at it but honestly I don’t need it. Even in WVW I’ll go without.

A lot will be recycled, we knew that it would be this way. However as it often is AN leaves things out of the preview because its just that, a preview.

I think we’ll see 1 new thing or so. There is a new meta so we know there will be something different to go for. Plus there have been a few things data mined like a HO HO Tron mini. This might just be gem store stuff but right now we have no idea.

I posted this in another thread so forgive me; I own all of these minis.
I made 3 of them I think and paid 350 or so for the rest of them. I am missing 1 RNG mini despite the IRL cash I spent. Hope those make a come back as well.

I either made with the cogs or bought all those mini’s last year :/ Kinda stinks that I’ll have a double now. Unless I can forge it, which I am pretty sure you can not.

This feels like the ascended weapons talk all over again. Maybe worse because you’ll need to craft 6 pieces now? Wonder how that works.

Either way I have 2 ascended weapons on different characters and decided it wasn’t worth the effort. Armor will probably be the same if not worse.

Have to agree I only deeply cared because there is a chest to chase. Even if the rewards are hardly worth my time, I chase that chest.

I don’t blame AN for that, I want the chest and therefore I chase. I thought there should have been a daily cap when this all started. AP for the most part are already meaningless because you get them for everything.

Also to the OP you should rename this. Petitions are not allowed on the forums if I remember correctly, would hate for this to get closed.

This seems a bit silly to me. I paid just like everyone else last year. I was unlucky and did not get the minis but lots of worthless items. These mini’s were not tradable like they would probably be now if it were a new release.

That would have saved some people from getting 3-4 of the same mini as well.

there is a new meta so there will be some new things to do. not sure it will be overly interesting. the JP might give a new reward like Halloween did. in fact id be a little disappointed if it did not.

interesting insight for sure. I am no where near the top though. 900 something and I’d still like the cap. As mentioned catchup seems nearly impossible. Sure you can gain on some players who stop but there is such a huge lead already.

not sure there is a solution to that really. I am not asking for metas or LS to be curtailed just dailies really.

I don’t disagree. And I do not blame AN for me wanting to hunt AP. I don’t see the need or reason for giving almost 50% of a players AP for doing dailies everyday. I also don’t see how a cap hurts anyone?

For those against it can you explain why you think this hurts the game somehow?
I am all for options. I think it’s great. But when doing more than 5 why continue to reward with AP? Is it necessary to the game to do so?

How does this add to the conversation? I am guessing you are against some of the suggestions in this thread. Is there a reason?

So just from 2 other people and myself it looks like almost a 50% split from dailies. If not for the LS and how some of those patches gave us a TON of AP I think this would be even more skewed.

we just got a new healing skill and now another. I read and understood what the Dev’s said about this but I’d really like more utilities. Which are supposedly coming at some point.

Question for the higer ranked AP hunters. (Im just under 1k ) Are most of your points from monthly and dailies because I know mine are.

Did I get mad about changes to the AP rewards? Its possible I did, not sure what your referencing here.

I don’t mind one way or another if it’s changed, my guess is it won’t be. I used to chase these a lot more than I do now. It’s burn out or whatever on my end. But I’ve felt this way since AP rewards were implemented. I do like the rewards though.

Is it the same though? Everyone would get X pts a day if they completed it. It’s not limiting in the sense that you can’t continue to play you just don’t earn APs from more dailies.

It would certainly make a lot of players unhappy I think though.

I kind of agree. Although I chase those cosmetic skins, therefore not useless to me. If you don’t do that or want it for conversion to gems it kind of is.

You do get loot from AP chests.
