you should be able to get 3 wins in 12 matches which is the other achievement. Last year I think you needed to score as well. Shame that didn’t make it back.
I think it’s fair to have components of the legendary quest to be strictly gold. The two components that make up for this are the precursor and icy runestones. And for the most part, these items were cheap until recently because of market factors.
Krom the Destroyer has set out on a quest to craft the Legendary Great sword Twilight. But first he must stop by “Evan’s Land of Super Great Deals” and buy his precursor for a mere 1200g. After that the quest can continue…

Just out of curiosity: Are you saying that you think a median transaction price of 1157g for dusk is acceptable?
Yes. That is the short answer. It isn’t about being acceptable or not sadly. It’s about what players will pay. According to his charts shown here players are buying them just fine. While I don’t agree with it many apparently think it’s acceptable.
I’ve just noticed this with the latest patch personally. I’ve reported it as a bug, please do the same.
what’s worse is they tamper with the supply, every time they nerf drops the supply goes down and the prices go up.

It doesn’t seem they are selling for 2000g yet. But I bought a dusk nearly 2 months ago for hundreds of gold less then the average is currently selling. Huge increase in that time. It will sell for 2k gold per. Give it a month or 2.
It’s a bit sad this is what you have to deal with in a game but this is how GW2 works. I’ll be interested to see how WS works since it’s the new MMO on the block soon.
There is nothing legendary about buying it from the TP…I realize we are talking about precursors here but more or less the same thing. The goal of this game to get these rewards is to earn gold. Not kill a boss, not kill anything. If you have the stamina and mental fortitude to grind out the gold or have a big wallet you can own these “legendary” items. Seems wrong.
I run wells in wvw 6/2/0/0/6 standard. Axe/WH and staff. I am never quite sure what sigils to use since the update. What is everyone else using?
Well if it’s a race you would think placement would sort of matter. It doesn’t though.
1-3 seems to give credit. My wife who is not very good at this event but enjoys it still was getting no credit for many runs.
It’s nice to know that whatever rare items is in those boxes if not worth getting. Drops seems terrible. :/
except RNG is terrible :P To each their own, if you get lucky then it seems great. But I’ve gone far too long with getting nothing. I’d rather have the option of both. Let me farm for it and if I get lucky on the way then that is awesome.

I have yet to even see any of these favors. Does anyone know if the weapons skins can directly drop rather than buying them? Last year they did but a lot has changed.
I am happy they are re-released, it doesn’t bother me that someone can earn them like I did.
well the only rewards I didn’t have from past content I really want would be a monocle and a jetpack. I ran the kitten out of that dungeon for the jetpack…still eludes me to this day.
1200g is a problem in the first place. Where is crafting already. While crafting might not be cheaper per se, I’d rather put forward that effort that grind out 1200 gold.
Titled might not be too good but the bug I experience is this:
When I do a search on the TP for skins it shows most of the Phoenix skins at 1 or 2 and at a very high cost. 250g, 190g etc. However when you click on it, it updates and tells you there are 111 for sale for 90g-ish. If I resort by price it resets this back to only 1 available and at the higher price.
I tried some other skins like wintersday, flame, scelerite, etc all of those seem to be working just fine and are the prices advertised when you are browsing. Phoenix skins are the only ones no displaying the proper price or amount for sale.
I agree I do like it better, however there are still some new rewards locked heavily behind rng sadly.
The mini slot might appear after we get the patch. I do think at 400 gems these mini’s are still far too expensive, especially for what they are.
The German version was far more detailed. Even showed some new Phoenix skins…
I am not sure what they should be used for or traded for but I do think there needs to be a use from them past the 300% cap. I am still a ways off from this myself but I can see being slightly annoyed once I hit the cap.
I do not understand why some players think it has to be one or the other and not both. You can either only do expansion or only do gem store. Why can’t it be both?
Why do some think an expansion would drive players away? Expansions bring players in, even if only temporarily. The content has to make them want to stay, but a traditional expansion hypes the game up. Does LS do this? I’m not sure that it does. Perhaps a few of the LS patches do. Maybe.
Even when we get new zones this LS how “full” are they going to be? That is the real question. Are they going to be like Southsun? I sure hope not. I do want new zones. I can not wait for new zones. But my fear is Southsun 2.0.
What is the point of expansion….
It’s like movie sequels. No quality but just there to make extra money. I prefer it the way it is now without any expansions or anything like that.
This is exactly what LS is. Low quality, and there just to make extra money via the cash shop. Which works very well. —There are some exceptions.
For those whose argument is that a boxed expansion would be consumed in a month. Those same people who would do that, consume LS in a few hours. For those patches where it’s zerg content (a lot of them) they just rinse and repeat or log out.
Somewhere before launch or shortly after, AN decide on LS. This decision is rock solid. It doesn’t matter how well it works or doesn’t work. It doesn’t matter how the community receives it (which is honestly probably split on the matter). They are committed to delivering this concept. S1 had some successes. But in general felt lacking. AN says they’ve learned a lot from S1 and are prepared or are preparing for S2. We’ll find out within the next month or so.
The problem as I see it is hype. Hype for a new MMO or an Expansion brings players back for “X” length of time. Regardless of how good that game is. It draws in numbers. Does LS do this on a large enough scale? AN knows better than anyone else on how well this works. They are able to see their retention numbers and how active players are.
Currently there are a lot of people who I play with once a week. Twice a week when there is a new LS. They complete it within a day or so and then they are gone until guild missions next week or until the next patch. At launch and for nearly a year after, it was a very different story.

I know there are a few ways you can run this type of build, I am interested in seeing what other players are running. I haven’t really changed anything yet personally.
Like Hyper said there are a number of skins that just aren’t in the game. This is apparent when you start to look at the under water weapons. Lion guard is a big one that stands out but there are a number of skins where there are 2 types for some of the factions.
Lionguard is the example I know off the top of my head but Trident, Spear and Harpoon gun have 2 skins for each of them but only one from the vendor. I hope they get around to either releasing these skins to you can get them or removing them so I don’t have to think I am missing those skins.

However players didn’t want the option to buy the full set for one price removed either.
I agree with Nek, many of the wintersday ones seems a little underwhelming at the time, but I’ve seen them on a few players now and a number of them look really nice, and give off a nice glow / snow animation.
I didn’t know this about that employee. Is she the person who sets the gem store prices? Just curious. Many of the item prices seem to be all over the place. Look at mini pets for example. Sometimes it’s 3 for 500, sometimes it’s 1 for 400 sometimes it’s 3 for 300. Etc…etc…

Thanks for the reply. She doesn’t have a go to build or weapon set. other than she wants to use Longbow. I don’t really know where to start so I figured taking the meta and adding a little survivability for open world stuff works well. The only dungeon she runs is TA and only because she is working on her Legendary Longbow. Otherwise she doesn’t do dungeons or fractals ever.
She does do world bosses though. Teq, Wurm, and the others.
I do take her into wvw on occasion but it’s fairly rare and in doing so I’d have her bring another class that has lots of AOE’s like her Necro so tagging is easier for her.
you can also go for max stats by making the +5 agony +5 another stat. Should keep you busy for a little bit :P
on top of this it feels like key drop from map completion was nerfed. I’ve completed the world 3 times since the 15th and 3-4 keys tops. I think I am being generous with that number.
60k is just unimaginable to me. But was their a gold threshold you refused to go below in order to make these and continue to play the investment market as you do?

Sadly Nike is correct, some of us keep thinking they learned their lesson and won’t continue to remove items or content from the game. I keep getting proved wrong.
For those saying they are unpopular. I am sure this is the reason they were always 3 tickets to begin with. You hardly see them being used in game, and to see a winters day skin is also rare.
However, why remove them? Is saving vendor space that important to them? They will still be there in the database, still there on the TP.
For wintersday skins. Why not sell them on the TP one last time or at least this last time before they remove them from BL ticket guy. This is how you originally got them.
For most people I think it’s more about removing anything from the game. Why remove this? Personally I’ve been saving for the war horn since I got a super lucky ticket drop when these were items in the patch for 1 of those tickets. I bought the dagger first and have been working towards the war horn since. 30 ticket scraps is a lot when the drop rate is terrible.
We’ll get new skins soon enough, and lose 2 sets. Some might argue that those 2 sets weren’t or aren’t that popular but they are getting removed from the vendor all the same.
At that rate you’d only need to buy 188 keys… for one skin. More if you wanted a winter’s day skin.
Also weren’t winters day skins originally sold via gem store? Why not sell them one last time via that way rather than only through keys if they are removing them.
what promises are they making but not delivering on? I assume this is what you meant. Regardless of what should have or should not have been in the game at launch isn’t it better to get it now rather than never?
You get players used to updates every two weeks and then not only have there been no updates but very little communication from AN in the last 24 days. Other than to say they are busy, and China Launch. While I don’t find it to be the end of the world, it is a little too quite for my like, and am also bored.
On top of this we probably aren’t going to see another patch until sometime in June. So now we are talking about more than a month with nothing. When players are used to content every two weeks and they suddenly get silence some players are going to feel left out and bored.
So you release the wardrobe and many players now flock to collect skins. Now you remove skins from the game. Sure they will still be on the TP for a while with an inflated price to match. I don’t understand why you feel the need to remove them at all.
Is this simply a cash grab? Even if it was, how many players are going to spend or afford 30 scraps per skin? And that is for scelerite only. Why remove these items, I just don’t understand AN’s thinking some times.
I would be more interested and or possibly impressed if you did map complete and story complete in X times for a record rather than clicking on an icon.

WVW season will be over by then and the china launch will have been cemented. I would expect to see a teaser on the first Tuesday on June. Give or take a week.

We know they have been very busy with the China launch which is now in head-start and soon to be live for all in China. We also know that china will get nearly the same content as the rest of NA and EU with a very small delay for them (less than a day I think…). With China just launching I am not sure we’ll see new content for another month. So beginning of June?
If you were going for “max stats” on a guardian would you make all infusions +5 precision and +5 Agony? So Armor, Jewelry, Weapons all infusions.

China literally just launched, we will not see an expansion for at least another year. LS in a few months. China’s launch is the focus right now, everything else is secondary.
A simple guess would be LS season 2 in about a month. Perhaps a smaller patch before then.
