Well said here. You dislike what you see, you give suggestions on how to improve it and are willing to wait and see what comes next. Most demand change now, good on you for understanding “the process”.

I don’t agree with this at all. Opinions will vary but a huge reason for me to make one is the stat switching. Sure you can make 1 of every stat type of ascended and then carry around 5+ weapons of the same type. Maybe some people don’t care about that, but I find that rather annoying. Stat switching is huge.

Why do they deserve a refund exactly? They made it when it was necessary to do so and got use out of it. It’s a shame that some players will no longer be the special snowflakes they used to be, that doesn’t entitle them to refunds though.

Maybe this works and maybe that is fair but it sounds like a huge hassle for them to sort out. Any resolution is going to be a fair ways off I think.

No idea what I am looking at. It also looks like you are using EU servers? I don’t know anything about those servers and how their populations stack up sadly. I only know what I experience on a day to day basis.

I think it’s a bad idea personally. You feel strongly that it is a good idea.

There are guilds that could easily cap those maps if you lower the capacity by 50%. I don’t see how having less people to fight makes it more fun and enjoyable. Large scale battles is what wvw is all about.

I am not sure that EOTM helped queue tolerance all that much. Most of my guild doesn’t even bother going there, they sit in a city until they get in. Too small a sample size perhaps but sitting on the servers TS and most of them in queue aren’t in EOTM. Although it does seem to fill up just fine.

Dayra: Clearly that doesn’t matter. The queue’s are ridiculously long as it is on T1s and it doesn’t deter players.

I would hate to see even less players on a wvw map as it is. Some servers are just always going to be very popular.

Players and Guilds will always pile up on the top servers, there is almost no way to get them to not do so.

So If one of my characters has all the dyes unlocked then I won’t have to relearn them correct? Wondering if a Dev could see this and respond with an official answer. It was a little misleading to me.

I threw out a T3 set because I lacked the room to keep it and wasn’t going to wear it. Would be nice to have that 119g set back :P

Korossive: However those legendary weapons are worth more than their skin. While the skin is cool, the real feature there is the ability to change it to any stat combination you want. So no I don’t think they were cheated.

I am interested because I did buy several skins more than once, for example 2 of the necro looking daggers. Will we get a refund? Not sure.

I think slowpoke has put more thought into this than most. :P I wouldn’t expect too much. Even so, we’ll get a cut scene and some idol dialogue to tie us over for the next two weeks when we’ll probably see SAB lv 3.

I honestly stopped tying for the achievement or the event in general after it being broken for the first week. You want to do 2 week content, then makes sure it works. Most of the patches have been fairly good with this. AN is quick to fix issues when comparing to other MMO’s I’ve played, it doesn’t carry water here. You only have 2 weeks, and when it’s broken for nearly 1/2 that time…why bother.

I am getting very close to finishing my second legendary, and this time I had chosen Twilight. I was told today by several people that this isn’t going to count toward the legendary achievement? Can anyone else confirm this?

I was told that only eternity counts as 1 and the other 2 do not count at all for that achievement.

If this is the case then I have to ask why? Shouldn’t these count? And maybe Eternity not count as it’s easy to make once you have the other two legendaries?

For most players I am sure they don’t care but part of the fun on making a second one was to get another tick in that achievement column.

My hunter has been sitting for a few days now. There seems to be some movement on them. 2-3 listed below me, then it drops to my price and a few more get listed.

For the first week I got 6 champ boxes because it wasn’t working, kind of gave up after that. Think I’ve run the event 4 more times this last week, I get a rare here and there. Not even exo’s…

5-6/10 it was ok, the finale cut scene was ok.

Diablo 3 : ROS – I bought and will play, but it’s a dungeon crawler and not an MMO really. Not sure this is comparable. Sure some player will invest that kind of time, but I would guess that most will not.

- Infamous : Second Son
– Dark Souls 2
– Watch Dog — This and the two above…What? None of these are MMOs and most are single player games I think? Not sure how these relate at all to GW2.

- WildStar —Possibly, we’ll know more in June? It’s raid centric so it might appeal to those players. Some are calling it wow 2.0. I can kind of understand why. Some will love it some will not.

- and the mortal enemy of GW2 : The Elder Scrolls Online. —Well it’s close to release, so we’ll know soon enough. It’s a new world to explore so it will have that going for it. It also has AVA and a much larger map than GW2’s WVW. (much larger) but other than that I am not sure where the other comparisons are coming from. Combat is different, questing is different, crafting is different, dungeons are fairly different, etc. etc.

What, are you the TP version of a pacifist? You gather all your materials?

Pretty much collect everything I need. Once in a while I will use it to trade but I do my best to avoid it, and certainly never use it the week of a patch.

This comment does a good job encapsulating the problem. From an economist’s perspective, you’re not being taken advantage of, because you’re selling your goods for immediate remuneration. From a trader’s perspective, your letting him take the risk and making a small percentage off his work. Yet from your perspective, you feel taken advantage of even though your selling at bid prices is still netting you 100% profit.

This problem exists, I think, because of the cooperative nature of the game (in general), and the distaste that others may be profiting from your “work.” But as this is a game, there is actually nothing wrong with this, as it lets different types of players play and profit in the ways they enjoy — you from PvE, someone else from the TP. Try to think of it less as being taken advantage of and more contributing to the sizeand diversity of the player base. Because both that size and diversity contribute to the game’s success and longevity.

This sounds great for those who play the TP. I am not interested in selling my good to those who want to sit in “X” City all day and make profit off of my ignorance. Which is what it is. I don’t have the time or inclination to study up on it. I am happy that some do, and love it. I am happy they have found a way to play the game their way. But I am not happy with the feeling I often get from the TP.

You are correct though, I do have a strong distaste for other profiting from my work. And while I might make 100% from selling to the highest bidder (who does that?), when I go to buy something I am probably paying a premium even when I put a bid in. To clarify: I do and have used the TP heavily in the past. For some time now though I do my best to avoid it, especially near patch day and most of that week. If I can trade items nearly equally, then I will, but using the TP leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Another day of zero loot, in a full party, with buffs, food etc. Please fix or let us know whats going on. I spent 3 hours today with no loot from any knight.

I am running full zerker gear as well.

do you have this dotted on a map or something. would be really easy to look at that while running in the zones.

So I submitted a ticket, I am sure nothing will come of it. I accidently made a red one. Stupid me, I know. I meant to make green. Because it wasn’t the color I wanted I tried to make the blue back pack and transmute it over and then split it. Something about these back packs don’t allow this to happen. I tried it 4 different times, even tried a rare at the end and it has something to do with the back.

However a guild mate is telling me they transmuted and split their wings of dwayna.
Either way I am out a lot of gold from buying transmutation splitters. :/

The content and loot is already bad enough and now it seems like the drops are very inconsistent.

Killing of a character is such a cheap and cliché way to create artificial drama that I’m glad anet didn’t go down that path. Hate when stories do that just to be dark and gritty.

And having them all wake up and kiss isn’t cliché? It’s just as bad if not worse. It’s pandering at it’s finest.

Tired of hearing that Taimi is only 13 and therefore can’t be in the story. If that is the case, then why make her 13? She becomes less interesting the more she sits on the sidelines and does nothing. She has her golem which is supposed to protect her. Part of her character is not listening to adults. So we have 2 stories where she doesn’t listen, and now 2 where she does listen and sits outside. Which of those 4 stories were more interesting for her character?

In the end it comes down to personal opinion. The ending wasn’t satisfying to me, I think there were other options there and they took the safe, crowd favorite route. Why should I care in the future? How does this ending evolve their characters? Rox probably doesn’t join the warband. Bro-ham’s leg heals, and maybe Jory has some scars. It’s possible Kas also gained some confidence but I don’t think so.

I hope next season is better.

•Taimi, I would have had her be a healthy little arsuran child up until Escape from Lion’s Arch. During that update I would have had her talk Braham into letting her come into the city to “study” the drill. When Braham turns his attention from her for one second, a piece of debris falls on her, crushing her legs. Braham’s guilt and Taimi having to learn to live with her condition would have been excellent character building opportunities.
•Jory and Kas, Jory getting knocked back and possibly killed while Kas runs in to avenge her was wonderful. However, I would have had Kas take a killing blow for the player character and Jory wake, permanently scarred, and call her name right as she is hit and killed.

This actually sounds amazing…

I just avoid the TP. I don’t want to be taken advantage of any more than I am already in game.

I sat at one knight last night and did not get loot. For the entire fight.

Kas’s eye look really, really weird in those scenes. Dropping a snow globe on Scarlet’s head wasn’t as satisfying as I would have hoped. The hologram battle was ok. I would have much preferred a 5 man dungeon fight, then more zerg content.

I think it’s pretty simple. Jory is hurt more because that makes for a better kiss moment. Rox and Bro-ham aren’t going to have the moment. They get a “friends stick together no matter what”

I would also guess cash shop. Not sure how it fits into the story currently.

After so very very many years of Blizzard doing nothing but this (followed by the char getting corrupted somehow and then being the next raid boss), can we please enjoy that we have a more lighthearted story somewhere?

Why does it need to be “darker”?
I mean, what value does it add? What depth does it add to her character? Are you nothing without your grief, either? Would you need to lose say, your lover, to become a more enjoyable person IRL?

I never followed the blizzard story, so have no idea on how they do things. To each their own opinion but there are plenty of “light hearted” stories out there. Their relationship doesn’t make them any more interesting. And it defines them more as characters then their actual back story.

I think this next part comes down to personal opinion. The darker story for one character seems more interesting. Kas is a damaged sheltered character. Jory picks her off the streets cause she’s hot, and takes care of her. Kas loves her for it because she is more or less lost in the world without a protector.

If she lives, they continue to live their happy “the hills are alive with the sound of music” life. If they are separated Kas is now alone in the world and is forced to continue to grow and mature. I feel like the comfort and safely Jory offers her stops a lot of the growth for the character.

Me having a personal loss like “my lover” does actually make me more interesting to the outside world. Personally that doesn’t make my life more interesting, it makes my life Hell. Who wants to endure such a loss? Or a series of losses? However if Character X stays as they are now, 9-5 job, Wife, Kids, Dog, fenced in yard, etc, etc… They continue to live this life for 80 years together how interesting is that?

Perhaps her death wasn’t the right way to go. Some pointed out how cliché that would have been as the kiss was. I kind of agree with that. But the possibilities seem a little more interesting. For a while now it was all about a budding relationship. Well now it’s bloomed. Now what? I am just waiting for them to get a talking dog and call it a day.

Over all I feel like they did a good job with these weapons. I had the shield in GW1 and in GW2 I am not disappointed. I don’t like the ticket system because of the RNG boxes nonsense but it is what it is. You know what would be awesome? Getting a ticket for the meta or LS or something since these weapons are released at the same time. This would allow you to collect tickets over several stories and get the one you wanted as well. Just a thought.

I haven’t been to red yet, I’ll have to go and see him now.

We got a helmet skin, that is the common new skin.

Sorry but I am going to add in here I thought it was terrible. I had become sucked into the last few living stories. After a slow start it had started to pick up. The story itself was ok I guess but the happy ending is so over done. Just had to get that kiss in there for fan service.

Few points here:
If you have a backpack you can skip to the end, I went in there not knowing anything and scarlet starts to go on about how she’s hurt and weakened….made no sense at all, at the time.

Secondly, Scarlet offers up a reason. Granted it might not have been a good one, but who knows. We’ll never know because Bro-ham tells her to shut-up. Well guess what Bro-ham? I wanted to know her reason.

Where is Taimi? She sat outside the last patch, and apparently this one as well? What was the point of adding her if she sits on the side lines all the time?

The kiss…I understand. Many player love the couple. They want to see them together, happy, etc. She gets hurt, and might be dead but Rox the super medic saves everyone with magic or something.

You know what might have been more interesting? Jory’s death. Kasmeer is already sheltered enough as it is, that she has a hard time dealing with her fathers death. This might have pushed her over the edge, made her a darker character. Set her on a path of vengeance. Something.

You want the kiss in there? Awesome. Jory dies, and kasmeer gives her a kiss and says something like “I never told her how I felt” or something along those lines. Make it feel like a real loss. Instead, she opens her eyes, and Kasmer is relieved and all’s well that ends well.

Sorry guess it’s too care bear for me. I feel like there were more interesting angels. This just isn’t one of them for me. I imagine a good deal of the community loves it.

The patch in general feels lack luster. Maybe I was expecting too much, but it felt cheap. Dropping a giant snow globe on scarlet’s head wasn’t even all that satisfying. The hologram fight was probably the best part? Maybe. I think I am 3 or 4 achievements from the meta already and hardly did anything. Seems like we wait 2 weeks for 1 days worth of content. I really hope there are bigger plans for the future. :/

Edit: I did want to add that I liked the ending cinematic. Scarlet’s dead body with wicked smile was a nice touch, the wakening of a dragon was also nice. So the cut scenes were done fairly well. Kasmer’s eyes looked funny, but otherwise very nice.

I’d rather not see it changed for those who bought it. If they want to add options that doesn’t ruin the theme of the armor I think that is fair and fine. More options is generally better.

most disable their headgear skin because most skins cover the head way to much, why customize your head when you can’t even see it….

Personal choice, I like a full helmet. I can also choose to toggle it on and off.

Because if it just dyed your skin blue, you would still retain all of the features you chose, just in a different flesh tone.

Misconception here. It isn’t simply dyed blue. Most of it is helmet, the area some of you guys would wish to be open and see the face (which would have all sorts of hair clipping issues I am sure) is closed, and blue.

If the armor just dyed my character’s skin blue, that would be one thing, but it completely eradicates their face and uniqueness by replacing it with a textureless default model.

But how is this different from wearing a fully enclosed piece of armor? My warrior wears a combination of armor that shows no skin and doesn’t show his face. I don’t see the difference here.

I wonder how that top looks on asuran or charr. will have to take a look. My first thoughts is it won’t look very good.

Proposal Overview
FIX PETS. —Short and sweet.

Goal of Proposal
Pets are an issue. They have been since day 1. Their skills fire off too slowly. Pathing is an issue. Reliability is an issue. They should be a boon to the classes, but often time are not.

Proposal Functionality
Not really sure how to fix them, but make them more responsive. Especially their skills. I push the skill button, sometimes it does nothing. Sometimes it fires off but my enemy, IA or not has long since moved.

Associated Risks
Zero Risks…they need to be looked at.
