Lets take a different look at this. These rare items have a monetary value for sure. But what about the rarity for being part of that event? Why re-release it? Is there a point to owning these items when AN will simply re-release it in another patch down the road?

Sure many of these were locked behind RNG, and any new player with lots of gold could come along and buy them, but there is a smaller finite amount of them. You don’t see a ton of player running around with a monocle or jetpack. While you still don’t see this at large you do see more of them, at the very least for sale.

I am more bummed about that then anything else.

The imbalance is that damask is needed in all three professions and not just for Tailoring. On top of that you need 100 bolts which is also more than any other. Leather working materials aren’t worth much because you don’t need much leather and in order to make the ascended version you also don’t need much.

If Leather was needed for everything like silk was and the cost to make ascended were the same then leather would be like damask is.

They should either lower the requirements of silk or raise the requirements of leather.
This still wouldn’t be enough because damask is needed for all three armor professions. Which is also a huge problem.

What they should not do at all is lower the amount of silk needed for the base recipe because the market has placed a high value on it.

I have spent a ton as well Loth and do not have this luck. RNG is RNG. :/

I have so many I don’t know what to do with them. If they added more recipes I could understand but as of right now only the back piece needs it.

Why should they be given a flesh tone version at all? The blue bits is what makes it zodiac in the first place…

I suppose the “steam” effect of blue might be enough to convey the look. However the selling point for me was the star-y blue void that the armor gives.

I don’t like the helmets as someone else points out but a lot of that has to do with the giant blade on the head or the general look of helm itself. I do not mind the fully enclosed helmet.

As for the female skimpy top (I assume it’s the breast area some of you have an issue with): There was a post “X” pages ago where someone added a sliver of armor to cover a tiny more bit of the breast, it looked ok and natural the way he/she added it. I would have no issues with this.

I can appreciate the work Zaoda has put into this, but it makes the armor look less appealing to me.

Who is trivializing it? It’s a tough fight but it’s not impossible. If you were able to get it once, then you can get it again. And now there are less bugs, and it’s been fixed and adjusted. It’s even better to kill it now. Loot has also been slightly adjusted. The wurm or this achievement isn’t going anywhere. People are still killing it.

Saying those people are undeserving of that title is actually really ungrateful).

I am not sure how my comments are ungrateful to anyone. That is actually a little offensive. I was there just like everyone else, put in the time and effort to learn and get the kill. New patch hits, and soon as our raid night came around, I was there again and got another kill. And now the title.

There are other bugs with some of the achievements I would rather have them look at first. If these players put in time the first time, then doing so again should not be an issue.

I do understand your point, I just don’t think it’s unfair or unreasonable to ask players to kill it again.

wanted to add that my wife has the opposite problem. She got the reward but no title for been there done that. Submitted a ticket months ago. Never got answer and gave up.

I have a heroic edition and my drops are fairly terrible, sometimes the border on average.

Can’t you see, that if you take out the blue (or think the blue is your skin – which is a valid thought, and one that I think), that it is FAR skimpier there than any other armor set?

I can see just fine why some people don’t like it. I disagree with them. If it makes you uncomfortable then I suggest not looking at it. I know this sounds rude. I am not trying to be rude about it. But there is no way to please everyone. Some will like it, some will hate it, some will feel uncomfortable by seeing too much boob, etc.

Some sets will be a winner and some will not. I disliked the reskined, “just add fire” sets, this is much better in my opinion. I like the blue star-y kinda look. I don’t love the helms. and so I don’t show mine.

I have a Norn thief covered in tats. I have armor that shows as much of them as possible and leaves her with a little clothes as possible. I am still looking for smaller boots.

I do understand your point and others as well. I am just not sure what the solution is. Should they cover more and make some uncomfortable players happy? Or should they leave it as is, and make those who bought it happy.

When players already looks like 120W lightbulbs with 10 different effect item, how would it make sense in the lore?

Does it always have to make sense in the lore? How do lovestruck weapons fit into the lore? How does Zodiac anything fit into the lore?

Never played that game, but the coding would be totally different. I am sure they could figure it out. However, it’s all about resources. I am sure this is not high on anyone priority list for the game sadly.

I disagree with those who think they should get this title retroactively. It’s a new title, just go kill it again. You are too busy farming bags in LA? Then that is a decision you’ll have to make. However, the wurm isn’t going anywhere. It’s still being killed plenty, do some research and find out who and when it’s being killed.

I am sad that they have added these rewards in there for players to get. I thought some of these items were supposed to commemorate that event.

The helmet is a helmet. In this case it’s a full helmet and it was meant to cover your whole face. If you don’t like that then don’t show it, there is an option for that. There are tons of helmets in the game that cover the whole face.

The only suggestion I have is about the face / helm. I think it would be awesome if there was an option that would show your normal face when you walk around and the blue face when in combat. It would make it seem like a protective visor that becomes active.

This would be really cool, but consider the kind of work that would have to go into something like this? If this is even possible?

The preview in the gem store honestly doesn’t do this armor justice. I don’t get this whole objectifying women thing…it’s a video game. Taking life a little too serious sometimes it seems.

Once again the challenge is getting enough guildies into the right map…

I love how players are arguing over what material the armor is made out of. LOL.

There is constantly an argument by some players who think armor is too skimpy or lack coverage. This isn’t a new complaint in any game ever. If you don’t like it, then don’t buy. At least it’s not a re-skin.

Hey guys, I’d like to share how I got my Selfless Potion pretty quickly by myself and with a few others at times. Basically I would enter an overflow on the hour and wait till we reached the 1st tier reward at 100 citizens rescued. Then I hope overflows by going to character select screen and zoning back in; this usually puts me in a different overflow where I just wait until that map hits the rescue tier reward. I don’t stay in maps that have less than 10 saved, except the first overflow. Once I get out of the first overflow and start hopping, I don’t say in OF’s that have 101-200, 301-500, and 600+ rescue markers. It’s easier just to leave and find one that way you can get the most heirlooms per hour. I was averaging about 5-8 heirlooms an event by myself. With a group of friends searching for different OF’s you can get 10+ at times.

I think this is now fixed? But no one else see’s this as a problem? I’ve been getting whispers from players asking how my OF is for 2 days now. :/

How are players getting this so quickly?

Have you been getting to the stage where these types of items drop? Because besides the bugged attempts I’ve not seen anyone get close legitimately.

I understand the want for a survey, and someone else mentioned that a smaller size works better. (no idea, sounds right?) I also understand the want to attach some sort of reward to this to entice players to actually fill it out.

400 gems though? I am also not in favor as someone else suggest a special mini (we’ve been there and it sucked before). You just gave mini packs away. I would have been ok if you gave these people an extra one, but they get 400 gems and only a select few got them. I am sure I am blowing this out of proportion but it seems unfair. I would love 400 gems. (32g as someone else mentioned, although I don’t care about the gold)

So are players able to gain the system by using alts to get into other overflows and get multiple bags from those events? Is this ok to do? I don’t need a ban right now.

how the heck did you get so many…2 days and I am maybe at 100? And I did almost nothing else but LA for hours on end.

I don’t understand the headpiece thing that some players are complaining about. There are tons of helmets in the game that cover your entire face so you can’t see your character. I don’t see this as being any different.

I understand it might not be everyone’s cup o’ tea but there is the option to not buy it. AN is getting at releasing armor skins (wish more were in the game and not the gem store), maybe the next one will be better suited to your likes.

I can’t say that I love most of the helms. Especially on asura they look very odd. I do however like the star-y blue skin. I wouldn’t mind if you could color it, although that would mess the stars up. However I don’t want a complete remake like the flame armor. A refund is not going to fly over well a second time. So please be very careful in your considerations.

The only issue is that the zodiac weapons were blue. I think the idea was to make them sort of match. I would be 100% for it though.

Why would the amount of the ingredients be different? There are other recipes in the game that require “X” lodestones. Some lodestones are worth more than others.

People don’t open them because they already have everything you could get from them and still multiple stacks. They kind of feel tricked if they now remove this “reward” since it means they were essentially getting no rewards at all for the last couple of months.

There should be ways to exchange this kind of stuff for gold or just anything. And with stuff I mean glory boosters, excess mats, etc.

People should not feel tricked, they were rewarded all along. How would players feel if the chest suddenly gave new weapons and armor and they didn’t save them? They would feel pretty crappy.

I can understand having too many, especially because you let them build up so high. I’ve been opening them all along. I am sure I’ve wasted many salvage kits.

How much does an exotic normally vendor for 20s? Honestly don’t know. It might be a lot less than that. I could see that being fair if you’d rather vendor them. I have a ton of dust, orbs and other mats that I know will be going to waste. I haven’t been stock piling though, just can’t use it all.

A vendor value seems fair. I am looking forward to more information.

Why collect so many and never open them? I can’t imagine that those rewards matter that much to you if you have so many. Otherwise open before the 18th.

There was an article on massively or some such MMO news site that says all the LA features, like the mystic forge will be at the vigil.

Why would I expect it to be played like an instrument? Because that’s what it literally is.

No it’s a legendary focus weapon. Not an instrument. My bell skin doesn’t play bell notes. And all other instruments in the game with the exception of the bell are 800 gems.

On top of this one could argue that the horn is a horn like howler, and it doesn’t play horn notes.

I could be wrong but it seems like you feel like you were cheated out of something and I don’t understand why you feel this way.

I understand. Player will form zergs to fight if they are able to sadly. Even those that don’t like the zerg will still zerg if they are able to.

It simply moves. lore wise it doesn’t make sense as there are several forges and even portable ones. But the vigil will have a forge for use.

I would definitely like to see some more strategy in this, though perhaps on a smaller so (so, say, groups of 10-20 maybe could do it). Eg, one group holds a barricade while another has to move canons into position or something.

How would this work when you can only form parties of 5? Interesting idea but I doubt this is what is going to happen.

zerging isn’t playing with other players, it’s chasing a big group just to farm loot.
also, playing in an open world can be done without a zerg fest, 20 ppl in the entire instance is plenty and can be scattered to take down the enemies.

While you are right about the open world and playing without a zerg, I have to ask if this is reasonable? What I mean by that is do you really think player won’t zerg if it’s a possibility?

Unless the city is somehow sectioned off into lanes or some other similar idea I don’t see how this won’t be a zerg, even if it’s not intended as such.

They wouldn’t let them in I don’t think but they would protect their border. I am still hopeful for Tengu but it won’t be this patch or the next. Sometime this year perhaps.

While I think that some legendary weapons still need upgrades (minstrel is one of them) I don’t see why you would expect to be able to play it like an instrument. It’s a weapon skin.

Those are individual fight events though. There might be some of that in LA but how do you separate players in a city? It’s rather open.

I don’t see this as being instanced at all. I am sure there will be LS parts that are instanced, but I kinda foresee LA itself being like queens jubilee. I guess that was sort of instanced now that I think about it. But it’s a large one.

It depends what the content involves. In something like queens jubilee it seemed fine to me. It depended on which overflow but most of them were ok.

I am sure there will be some instanced spots for story, but much of it will probably be open and rather zergy at first.
