Shiro never had magi-mechanical guards.
He used mutants and zombies, more closer to the Risen. Even the Shiro’Ken were zombies, though you usually didn’t see it well because of the model details.

TOO much loot devalues the economy and destroys farms. Since they killed CoF P1, it’s now more important than ever to make sure t6 mats are worth farming.

They REALLY dropped the ball on this. I’m really disappointed, because it shows ANET is out of touch with their economy.
Not only is it unrewarding for time spent, but it’s daily-limited.
What’s ANET so scared about making dungeons rewarding? A few days ago I made 16g in one hour from farming Barracudas. Another day I made 6g in one hour from farming in Cursed Shore.
If we spend more than one hour inside a single dungeon, and the dungeon is hard as heck (Arah p4) then shouldn’t it be super rewarding?
To put things in perspective, Arah p4 takes 3-4 hours for most groups. Yet only rewards 3g. Why? In one hour, I could easily make an average of 8g/hour simply farming open world mobs, so shouldn’t it give equivalent rewards?
If 24g DAILY in 3 hours for the toughest dungeon is too much, then at least 10g?
Some say players could run p4 in 30-40 minutes, but isn’t that a GOOD thing? Shouldn’t players be REWARDED for skill?
I thought Elementalist staff Autoattack has a higher activation time and less damage than the Ranger longbow Autoattack?
It has a longer cast time, but no after cast to my knowledge.
It has lower base damage too.But the Fire trait has +5%, +10%, and actual skills that do damage (lava font does a lot of damage, burn does a lot of damage, meteor shower is a dps increase), and stacking might.

I was VERY disappointed when I first saw the GW2 Fellblade upon release, since it was my favorite sword in GW1.

I believe Scarlet is Kasmeer because ANET confirmed the “Personal nemesis” is SOMEONE during Secret of Southsun, and Kasmeer is a “Legendary” with Unshakeable buff. Seems kinda suspicious.

Why use Grenades without Grenadier?
Honestly, I think they should just balance the Grenade kit so that it shoots 3 grenades by default, then make a completely new grandmaster trait.

That would be too intrusive. GW1 had messages in the chat window past the 2 hours mark “You have been playing for x hours. Please take a break.” Which they should implement into GW2. But actually kicking would be infuriating. If you want to limit yourself fine YOU can do that yourself. We don’t need the game controlling it for us.
The point of limiting Guild Wars 2 to 1 hour a day is to give players a sense of progression to their goals.

Unfortunately there will be an exploit that lets people play for 2 hours if they log in 1 hour before reset, then play another hour after the reset.
This gives players an unfair advantage because it allows them to make twice the gold of other players. A solution to this is to heighten the Diminished Rewards so that it only resets every 24 hours rather than server reset.

Players make too much gold if they play more than 1 hour, and running the same content more than once a day will destroy the player’s sense of progression.
Furthermore as we have already seen, the playerbase made too many dungeon tokens per day when run across multiple characters. However, they continue to run dungeons multiple times, and they are able to earn their dungeon armor faster than the intended progression.
On the topic of progression, players should not be able to run a path in Citadel of Flames for its tokens, then run Arah for its tokens either, because this similarly destroys the intended sense of “progression” in the same way as running multiple times a day.
There for I believe we should only be limited to 1 hour of playing Guild Wars 2 per day.

Engineer is a fine class for dungeons.
The problem is nobody knows how to play them. For some reason there is a myth that we have low damage, even though bombs are one of the strongest autoattacks in the entire game.
More than half the forum still do not know how to use properly use turrets.
Pyre Fierceshot was a Ranger. So was Rox.
However, Medium armor Charr have it BAD!
So let me get this straight… Only 180 tokens per day? No repeating on alts?

While it certainly seems like a great idea, I don’t see a reason to use it when I have a banker golem.
It costs about 11g with gold, about $4 with gems.
The Royal Terrace is just too expensive.

PVT is useless in PvE. There is no reason to use it whatsoever. No precision= no damage.
Fact: You gain more survivability as a Zerk Guard because you crit more, giving you permanent VIGOR with traits.
If you want the best of both worlds, go Knights though.

Can nothing else but agree with the op, when it comes to any challenging content the ranger’s pet is being totaly useless. As exampel let me just post this vid of a ranger soloing Lupicus while his pet is being constantly death.
Bad example.
Solo Lupicus isn’t a proper boss fight where the player kites. Instead the player just uses Whirling Defense while to mitigate projectiles, while the pet did its own thing. The fact he didn’t call it back during the boss’ large meditation/aoe attack or while using Whirling Defense means he really didn’t care to keep his pet alive.
In fact, I’m convinced the video would have been much faster had he cared about his pet.
And suddenly, I went from hating Ranger, to LOVING them!
I’ve gotta admit, I still think Ranger lacks the melee burst of a warrior. But after playing around a lot, I noticed the Ranger has his own tricks that make him useful:
- So many ways to maintain chill on bosses (increasing the time between their attacks).
- A pull on OH axe (underrated)
- Very nice damage with 1h sword
- Best ranged damage in the game (I believe)
- VERY long duration of stability (using RaO +SotW)

Having played Ranger recently (with 1h sword and Jaguar) I noticed the damage really aint that bad at all.
What they lack compared to a warrior is burst, but make up for it with superior ranged damage (yes) and the ability to apply chill longer than any other profession.
Ranger also has the pull on his offhand axe, which is very very VERY GOOD! (Possibly the most underrated and under-appreciated ranger skills.)
Tier 1: Warrior, Thief
Tier 2: Engineer, Ranger
Borderline: Guardian, Elementalist
Tier 3: Mesmer , Necromancer
Explanation:
Warrior and Thief self explanatory. HB and Heartseeker spam.
Engineer, and Rangers all have a nice sustain when fighting melee. Engineer have bombs with Static Discharge, while Rangers have their godly 1h sword. Both also possess the best long-range weapons in the game (Grenades and Longbow), with the insane far-reach capabilities of 1500 range, and nice damage too boot.
Elementalist is somewhat in the middle. Everything recharges too high, so they end up with lower overall damage which does not pay for their fragility in PvE.
Guardian from my experience doesn’t deal much damage as others. The damage is still nice, and the support is AMAZING, but in terms of bursting the Guardian is not as good as other classes.
Mesmers are more famous for utilities than their damage because their damage requires too much setup. Similar to the Elementalist, it’s too fragile.
Necromancer is… Not much to comment dps-wise. It’s great to cure conditions off foes and deny your foe any boons, but it’s just not a damage class.
I did Simin recently. Was fine.
This is more of a l2p issue. Stop taking pvt leeches, and start coordinating.
I will note, there is a bug where sometimes she would ALWAYS go stealth every time she hit 50% hp, no matter how fast you did the Sparks. If this happens, a simple reset solved it for me.
