ALL HAIL ABADDON!!! ALL HAIL ABADDON!!!!
(And vote for Evon Gnashblade!)
Not a bug. Presumably something rushed by devs to meet deadlines.
Asura and Sylvari have no t2.
Suwash for office, maybe?
So in FoTM fights like Flame Shaman and the Cliffside Zealot, I always try to leave 6-9 medkit packs on the floor for people to use.
Problem is, whenever I see someone on low HP, I tell them to grab the medkits and ping them, but nobody ever bothers to grab it, and then they down.
I’m assuming they’re too distracted for textbox, so is there a better way to telegraph my medkits?
There’s nothing to discuss. With the time it takes to get 50/50, I’m surprised we’re not rewarded more than 500 AP for everything combined.
Here’s a better idea: ABOLISH Hall of Monuments because we’re forced to play another game!
Also, competition of Achievement Points? What? That’s like complaining about Achievements in XBOX Live.

Engineer needs a melee Main-Hand.
It has some of the coolest Off-hand weapons in the game (AoE immobilize+cripple OH Pistol, reflect+daze shield), but we’re forced to use one of the worst weapons: Pistol MH.
Pistol MH is ranged, but our off-hands are all melee-range. So shouldn’t we get a melee main-hand like Mace?
I’m trying to watch the sexy Noir cutscene with my Marjory Journal, but it just tells me “You cannot use that command yet.”
Did it break? Will it ever be fixed? Should I toss it?
How can I say no to captain Lo’?
I wouldn’t mind them adding new weapons to existing professions.
Ranger: Hammer
Engineer: Mace Mainhand
Necromancer: Torch offhand
Elementalist: Sword Mainhand
I read somewhere (I think the Twitch transcript) that there is no plans for an expansion this year or the next?
Does that mean we have two years of absolutely nothing, and after they built that cliffhanger at the end of the personal story too?
I could understand one year, but with the living story going on, GW2 is really starting to feel like a Saturday Morning cartoon where they never capture the villain…
My source is that_shaman, as usual. (reddit)
To be honest, I wouldn’t mind trenchcoats if they didn’t have such obnoxious clipping and animation issues. (The updraft while running is HORRIBLE on male characters, especially Sylvari…)
Rumor has it the new Medium armor for Males will be another trenchcoat.
Leaked according to dataminers.
How long do we have to do all the activities? I cannot find any info when they end.
Keep in mind, even if Aetherblade Retreat is a better overall dungeon, do you really want it to become the next "Dredge"Fractal?
Pick something short and easy! Molten Facility!
And BrOham for council!
I’m going to wear this on a male character because it’s just a trenchcoat, right?
Next up.. Quaggans, coo!
With the upcoming election in Lion’s Arch, we mustn’t forget there are more than two parties!
Which third-party candidates do you think should run?
(Parody alternatives to Evon/Kiel, and even create their own badges!)
Down with the two-party system!
Don’t vote for either Gnashkiel or Kielblade!
Vote for third-party!
Vote Braham Eirsson!
Some people like the more conservative effects of the Sun Catcher, and the Lightning Catcher seems like a fine “in-between”.
Seems balanced to me.
Right now the zone isn’t supposed to tell an epic tale. It’s simply supposed to introduce the Zephyrites and their culture.
The Commander of the Pact has been running dangerous errands nonstop ever since the defeat of Zhaitan. From Karka to Molten Alliance, back to Karkaland, and then for once when he thought he could have some fun at Dragon Bash and celebrate the festival, it was crashed by sky pirates!
Give the Commander a break! The Bazaar of the Four Winds has been fun and adventurous, while remaining mostly peaceful.
Quite frankly, I think this is the best living story update yet!
Right now Pistol is kinda underwhelming. I think maybe they should do a visual and audio change, where it shoots lightning bolts.
I think that’s too much for these weapons, either add the lightning trail or glow.
Maybe a lightning trail to the bullets! :O
Come on, you know Pistol needs more love! <3

While looking for some mobs to farm (and being successful at that), I noticed the area with all the enemies to farm is also very incomplete… Check it out ingame.
There’s a rock without a bottom, and a very oddly stretched wall texture. (The screenshot is poor, but check it out iname. It’s very weird!)
In the sky are also some weird polygons going across it.
Why is it the areas which are polished, have no mobs worth farming whatsoever? Yet the area with all the sharks and tunas, it’s as incomplete as heck… You’d think they’d want to polish where they attract players?
The only positive thing about her is that she is so bad that makes me actually miss Trahearne.
GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF, MAN!
If ArenaNet opens up the Crystal Desert (and Elona), it will be a huge step to redeeming themselves.
Howler. Isn’t it natural for a Necromancer to have a chilly aura? Not to mention, Howler is the coolest looking warhorn in the game!
Gnashblade, because it means giving Southsun Cove another chance, and bringing back Molten Facility!
The difference is, this area is out of bounds and totally unintended.
it’s technically not out of bounds. there is a path you can take to get there. you can swim right up to them easily enough. it’s not like you’re glitching to get out of the map.
Just because there is a path to get there doesn’t necessarily means it’s legit. Just because early FoTM had a path into the “Fractal Limbo”/Dev Zone doesn’t make it legit either.
If you swim outside the area, doesn’t it take you to a void rather than giving a strong current notification? That would imply it is out of bounds.
Not to mention, it’s quite glitchy. I remember when going there once, I was suddenly warped underneath the Straits portal, into the underwater void below Malchor’s Leap.
Personally I’m suspicious about Ellen Kiel. Logan said in the cutscene he doesn’t trust the lionguard, implying they’re involved. That leads me to be very suspicious of Kiel.
The difference is, this area is out of bounds and totally unintended.
Gotta disagree. Caladbolg is hardly a normal weapon, nor should it be craftable. If it was an elite skill, that I could get behind.
Why shouldn’t it be a normal weapon? It’s already completed, with all the pseudo-legendary weapon effects.
The brown is your Sylvari’s actual skin color.
Yeah, it’s so annoying, but the devs thought it was “cool” to limit our dye choices… :/
Ranger’s only purposes: Soloing Mossman, and using [Entangle] on the Flame Shaman bubble.
Not sure what they can do others can’t do better in FoTM. 1800 Range longbow? Not very useful though… Maybe they can suck up Old Tom projectiles with a bear, but I don’t see why it’s worth sacrificing DPS.

Give me back my sword, and I’ll show ya how to use it!
Isn’t this out of bounds? I’ve done a lot of “exploring” in Malchor’s Leap in my day.
How’s the profit compared to Southsun?

Does Flamethrower have a purpose outside tagging mobs?
Bad troll. Bad. Go back to WoW.
FT is good, clean fun. It does mad DPS to multiple targets,
What do bombs and grenades do?
That is a sneaky Kitten !
@Kain Francois: You only crit one time when the boss fight starts. Then you’re left with low dmg and 30% crit chance if i remember correctly. FoTM needs tanky melees the higher lvls you go, so in no way is this viable in FoTM.
With full zerk gear and Rune of the Ranger, you should have about 59% crit rate (estimated). Plus you aren’t in the fight alone, as you have allies who support you with fury. Plus it’s always possible to use Red Moa and wep swap for fury.
In High Level FoTM 38, the idea is to go more power-oriented rather than defensive, because bosses do not hit you enough to justify going defensive (as you could heal back to full health before getting hit again.)
Can you please make a video showing the viability of this in PvE? Like FoTM?
Major disclaimer: no promises, no schedule, etc… But if you were daydreaming about what you personally want for your sylvari, what would it be? :} What would its presence feel like? What style? What materials?
GIVE ME MY DANG SWORD BACK! I want my Caladbolg, plz! (And let me beat up Saladhead while at it…)
As for styles I do believe more “humanly” faces are in order. Most of the time I just see people using the same face and hair combination as “good” Canach:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/archive/f/f4/20130530155530%21Canach.jpg
For a start, I would recommend Trahaerne’s face for males, and Caithe’s face for females. I understand ANET wishes to make them unique, but quite frankly most players simply do not care how “unique” they look, and it serves no purpose anyways when many Nightmare Court enemies recycle Trahaerne’s face.
NPCs always get the cool faces… T_T
I would also recommend more racial armors, especially for Heavy. It’s very hard to get a desired look because the “shading” (for the lack of better words) on Sylvari armors are inconsistent with other Sylvari sets, and they suffer from horrible clipping and stretching issues. Have you seen what Heavy T2 pants look like when wielding a GS? Even on the thinnest body type, it stretches to oblivion… Not to mention the front side clips the leg when using staff. Speaking of which, Heavy TA armor also clips with staff…
Actually I designed the Pale Tree’s avatar loosely after the Nefertiti bust than anything, as it’s a great silhouette for Important PersonTM.
MORDREMOTH!!!!

My tests:
snow Wolf… 6k
White Moa… 5.2kIs it my gear? I doubt it’d make a 3k dmg difference…
Even without all ascended gear you should at least end up like this in my picture. Only one ascended trinket in my gear, no stacks, food (not even the best one), fury, 30/30/0/10/0, all zerker and the back-item is soldiers.
How do you get such high crit rate? Both of us are using full zerker with ranger runes?
And does 200 power and 10% crit% dmg really make such a huge difference?
I’d like to hear someone else’s numbers on a Snow Wolf or Moose?
I support Evon Gnashblade, because Molten Facility is AWESOME!
Come on, it’s a fast and relaxing dungeon. Do you seriously not want it back?
Aetherblade Retreat on the other hand… It’s too kitten long to be a fractal!
My tests:
snow Wolf… 6k
White Moa… 5.2kIs it my gear? I doubt it’d make a 3k dmg difference…
You can definitely bump your stats up a bit still via gear.
Get all ascended trinkets and back brace, stack bloodlust, dragon buns, and don’t forget to shoot from the target’s back.
3200 pattack is kind of low IMO. You should be around 4k without stacking might.
But the 9k dmg build in the first post doesn’t use bloodlust or dragon buns… Will a backbrace and ascended trinkets really make such a huge difference in autoattack damage? We’re talking a difference of 3k damage.
My tests:
snow Wolf… 6k
White Moa… 5.2k
Is it my gear? I doubt it’d make a 3k dmg difference…
What am I doing wrong? I’m running the same exact build (with +5% crit chance instead of dmg sigil), but I hit only 5.9k.
30-30-0-10-0 with spirit of frost active, and the two signets.
Does Flamethrower have a purpose outside tagging mobs?
I think we need the Mursaat Hammer back:

Thank me later. Most of these are inexpensive.
Explorer’s lacks crit % though, so you possibly end up dealing less dmg.
Is this viable in PvE Dungeons and FoTM? I’m kinda having a hard time seeing the viability of this, because Signet of the Hunt and Signet of the Wild are only temporary boosts with large cooldowns.
