It’s a very simple solution in my opinion.
Not like fighting an unrewarding champion for 10 minutes is fun anyways. No fun, no point.
Games are for fun!
Solution: Give us the ability to completely cut off our tails.
Hey, I would do it!
Sorry, I meant it wasn’t a bug specific to the ghost transformation. I asked an engineer to look into the general transformation issue.
I see what you did thar!
I’m not even sure how you could work that out.
I’ve done very simple price comparisons by working on the idea that in GW1 1 gold is the smallest possible unit of currency, so it’s the equivalent of 1 copper in GW2. Which means 1k in GW1 money is 1g in GW2.
But that’s only for comparing prices – mainly for explaining to people who never played it how 1k can be considered not a lot of money and some items could easily sell for over 100k.
I have no idea how you’d factor supply and demand or time invested into that.
Surely 1g is more than 1k? Expensive GW1 items such as ectos drop more often than in GW2, so I was thinking 10g= 100k? Maybe that is still too high? 10g= 50k?
Mystic Forge? Anyone try it?
Hipster Meta, not new meta!
I think the record is 5:33, though I’m not sure.
his means that those updates are being tested for months before they go live.
Pretty much this.
We’ve known about Dragon Bash and the new armor sets for months now. The models have been in the game for a long time, and the hardworking devs at ANET polished it!
(I only wish the tail didn’t clip on Charr….)
I want to trade with a trusted friend my GW2 gold for his GW1 gold.
Problem is, how much is it worth?
I would assume because of supply and demand gold farmed in GW2 is worth much more than gold farmed in GW1 with the same time investment, but I really don’t know by how much.
Could any economists here help us work out how much 1G in GW2 is worth in GW1 platinum? Thanks!
Except pets don’t necessarily seem all that squishy against bosses. It seems the AI targets players over pets, making them actually have a longer uptime than Ranger players themselves… The only possible thing I can think of to improve that is to synchronize the player and pet dodge so that they survive against Subject Alpha AoE if the player dodges correctly.
Maybe their higherups (marketing department?) has something shoved up them, that forces the balance team to listen to stupid “trends” rather than actual good balance.
I wouldn’t mind a “raid” in the sense of a 15-man super-dungeon with cool skin rewards.
However, I get the feeling “raids” people keep talking about on the forums are synonymous with gear-ladders.
With only a few days until Sky Pirates of Tyria ends, does this mean we wont have an opportunity to get the sexy rapier weapon? Q_Q
Anet loves playing with fire, and so do I! Burn baby, burn!

When I read “… Four Winds” in the new update, the GW1 fan inside of me literally squeed out-loud at the thought of seeing Tengu again.
Then I did ctrl+F and found no mention of Tengus whatsoever.
Plz ANET, don’t tease us like that! :’(
I want to say it’s Tengu-related… But there’s no signs of Tengu anywhere.
Wouldn’t it be great if Ascended weapons had no difference from an exotic weapon, other than having an infusion slot?
One highlight of the Dragon Bash update that many players silently appreciate is the accessibility of new, powerful consumables for only a mere few copper.
Dragon Bash introduced many new consumables:
- Dragonfish Candy
Nourishment (20 m): Gain vitality equal to 6% of your toughness
+200 power when health below 50%
+10 Experience from kills
- Slice of Candied Dragon Roll
Nourishment (20 m): 66% to steal life on critical.
+70 precision
+10 Experience from kills
- Koi Cake
Nourishment (20 m): +40% condition duration
+70 condition damage
+10 Experience from kills
- Dragon’s Breath Bun
Nourishment (20 m): +200 power for 30s after killing an enemy
+10 critical strike damage
+10 Experience from kills
- Dragonfly Cupcake
Nourishment (20 m): 30% Magic Find
+70 power
+10 Experience from kills
- Kralkachocolate Bar
Nourishment (20 m): Gain healing power equal to 6% of your vitality.
Gain healing power equal to 4% of your toughness.
+5% Karma
So far my favorites are Slice of Candied Dragon Roll for the precision boost, and Kralkachocolate Bar for the karma bonus.
What are your favorites?
Cursed Shore actually got worse. It use to be a farming theme-park with Tunnel Farm, Gates of Arah defense (it was rewarding to defend Arah), Plinx, etc… and nearby was the Straights of Devastation “karma-train”.
I hope we don’t get anymore stat-based Ascended gear.
Ascended trinkets at this point in the game were a good idea in my opinion because all they do is provide a minimal stat boost, but anything beyond that would create too much a divide between Ascended and Exotic gear. Not to mention armor is a lot more tedious to manage than trinkets.
If they do release ascended armor/weapons, I would like to see the emphasis done on utility infusions rather than statistical benefit. More magic find boosts without interrupting our builds.

Monthlies are for players without the time to complete Dailies. Don’t make them harder, thanks!
I want to say Tengu… But I wont set my expectations that high.
I would love to see them resolve the clipping/stretching issues on the current armor before they make new ones.
TA Heavy (male): Wielding a staff clips through the skirt.
T2 Heavy (male): Wielding a greatsword stretches the pants horribly.
T1 Heavy (male): The skirt clips through the left leg when wielding a staff.
Come to think of it, seemingly all the clipping issues revolve around the staff pose. Hmmmm…
What is the blue crystal material I see on Sylvari infrastructure and weaponry?
Has anyone else been getting less ectos the past few days? I used a black lion kit, and still had horrible results on MULTIPLE rarea…
Starcakes are not pay to win because the boost they give sucks and the materials are overpriced.
Kralkachocolate on the other hand is pretty cool.
I wouldn’t want more harvesting equipment, but I wouldn’t mind more weapon skins.
I want a rifle pea-shooter like the mega buster or gun from Contra!
Thank you!

People are already complaining about Torment?
Might as well complain about Bleeds.
Broken 1 hand first skill is far from irrelevant, its needed fixing since the game opened..
See? You just proved my point.
I’m not sure whether or not my posts are clear, but I didn’t make this thread for people to argue whether or not 1h sword should be fixed.

Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder.
Is it really considered match fixing? I don’t see how it alters the outcome of a match if someone uses the tokens to buy an Ascended amulet and goes back to PvE.
Is it considered an exploit to take turns farming each other in the EB JP Waypoints for tokens?
We already have everlasting Zhaitaffy, it seems.
What you need is the crafting recipe for Syrup of Ipecac. Then you can harvest your own ingredients and make as much puke as you like.
Is this real, or a joke? I cannot find any info on GW2 wiki.
I’m actually more shocked at how many find this broken skill fine, when it obviously is far from it, is it used for some exploit or something because that’s how you guys seem to be coming across with your demands to keep it…..
I’m shocked people fail to understand the point of this thread.
All I was asking is for people help make it the next SoTG question what ANET plans for 1h sword. Instead people are arguing, which is pretty stupid considering the question is relevant whether or not this is a “l2p” issue.
You could definitely tell what people are like socially, by the fact they are arguing about something completely irrelevant to this thread.
Great game, horrible storyline.
The personal story should just be tossed out entirely. It makes the game look bad. In fact, just disable Arah Story Mode until the final boss fight is redone entirely.
I wanted to get close and personal with ZHaitan, but all I got was a big chicken!
Well you currently have accessories recipes. But more stuff would be nice.
Can’t buy/sell them, which defeats the purpose.
What sigils do you recommend on each weapon for a zerker guard?
For greatsword I was thinking Sigil of Accuracy since critting is more important for skills like Whirling Wrath. But what about other weapons? What do you recommend? (Particularly Wand/Shield.)
Something I really miss from GW1 is after clearing a dungeon you had a shot at super-rare exclusive items in the endchest. While RNG-based, they were a pleasant addition to the game because players could score big if they sell the weapon.
What if GW2 had a similar system? Sort of like the Monocle and Jetpack, but permanent. Players would start playing things like Arah 4 or CoF2 at a shot of rare skins.
This would also be a great opportunity to bring back skins players loved from GW1. My ideas so far:
- Arah
Path 1 (Jotun): Bone Dragon Staff (Most popular staff if GW1)
Path 2 (Mursaat): Mursaat Hammer (Who doesn’t love this?)
Path 3 (Forgotten): Tormented Shield (Forgotten inhabit the Realm of Torment.)
Path 4 (Seer): Obsidian Edge (Rarest weapon in GW1)
What items do you think should drop from other paths? I definitely think they should bring back a black-dyed Voltiac Spear as a staff, and they need to also bring back Dhuum’s Soul Reaper too!
The “Pirate” Clothes should’ve been a medium armor. Let us wear town clothes!
Echoing my previous suggestion: Any plans to address dodging on 1h sword?
Dual Shot is NOT weak!
It hits more than Rifle Autoattack. It’s actually quite strong for a ranged weapon!
Magical Beam. Pew pew pew!
Don’t they grow in Frostgorge Sound too?
What if you saw a warrior do the same with a greatsword? Would you kick him too for not using a mace to knockdown foes?
That’s like comparing the strength of a gorilla to the strength of a kitten. Don’t compare Hundred Blades to Staff autoattack.
Also, FYI it takes two people to kick someone, and the elementalist in question kept messing up pulls and ignoring the team. So don’t demonize me over kicking him, unless it was you we kicked?
But to answer your question, if four people asked the Warrior to run a particular weapon and he refused, I would kick him. FoTM 30 is a little late in the game not to have a complete weapon-set. “Play how you want” is for open-world.

After reading a certain other thread about gambling, it hit me with an idea so stupid, it just might work!
Guild Wars 2 is in need of more minigames, and Moa Racing just didn’t quite hit the right spot with us gamblers. So what if we could play Poker with ingame gold?
The “Dead End” bar instance could probably be converted after the Living Story to play (“video”) poker against the NPCs, and against members of our party who also like to gamble.
What at first seems like another potshot to introduce gambling into the game actually has a more broad effect on the game. Specifically, this would bring a population back to Divinity’s Reach of people looking for people to play against in Poker.
Just my $0.02 cents. I think they should turn Poker into a minigame due to its universal love around the world.
This would actually be a pretty cool minigame and gold sink.
Let us gamble ingame gold to play poker!
Here is some dense forest. Anyone know which game?
Monster Girl Quest? O.o
These are the people who give farmers bad names. Some people think they own the game. They don’t. Do what you want. If they’re abusive, take screen shots and report them.
Those who are farmers wonder why people on these forums have trouble with them. While it’s true most farmers are nice and friendly and not like that, there is a small, visible, very annoying group of farmers who don’t care who’s game they ruin as long as they get their loot (or in this case achievement).
Woah, Vayne pulled a 180!
My $0.02 cents, but ANET needs to bring back the “old” Cursed Shore vents. Fact is people want a constant stream of enemies to fight, and that is why people would farm tunnel when the events chained off of each other. If people were farming normal events more, they wouldn’t be so desperate to camp the JP.
Need more people posting for ANET to address this in the SoTG thread, less people arguing whether this is a l2p issue.
