TC Server. People back in Cursed Shore already.
Not sure about Malchor’s Leap and Straits of Devastation though.
I’m assuming thieves will only get torment through venom, and it will have a crappy duration too. I wouldn’t worry too much.
I guess it’s a small scale test for the whole scavenger hunt idea before rolling out the one for the precursors. We wouldn’t want the precurser scavenger hunt to suck, do we?
Living story in general is a test for permanent content. They experiment with stuff like magic find and dungeon design to decide on the direction they want to head with in the game.
Perfect timing! I really need some skill points for my legendary!
Noir Logan. Such a sexy beast!
Hoping for nice engineer and ranger changes!
I really like Ellen Kiel so far. Her somewhat sarcastic, yet heroic personality made me interested in her during the last bit of the Southsun story. However, she really began to be interesting in this living story!
A part of me really, really hopes it’s Tybalt!
About 50g till my Predator. Darn runestones!
I remember the devs hinted at griffons a few months ago.
Personally I wouldn’t mind a griffon or raptor. But I wish we had a dolphin for underwater!
With regards to improving Logan’s character, I believe the best way to handle him is to put his past behind him. This is a great step in the right direction.
Simple: If someone plays the same note for long enough, they receive an “exhaustion” condition which puts their Vuvuzula on cooldown.
There are multiple forms of death in the Guild Wars universe: There is the “downed” state where one is simply wounded, the “spirit” state where one transcends to the mists (such as the Hall of Heroes and Underworld) , and finally there is a state where even the spirit is gone.
I really liked this. The presentation was simple, yet fresh. I’m one of the few people who like Logan, so seeing his involvement makes me happy.
This is how a story should be told! Full of suspense and mystery!
So it’s another day here on the Tarnished Coast server. I decided I would return once again to my former farming place to make some cash.
The chat is oddly quiet. That’s no surprise. But then I discover there are NO towns left whatsoever! They are all swarming in Karka!
No one doing events, no towns, overpowered mobs, what the heck is going on here!?
This is worse than it was before! Will we ever see a fix?

I think it’d be awesome if we had a greatsword or hammer like the Crowbar skin!
We have other engineer skins as weapons. Why not the Crowbar?
Do we still get 1g for repeating the instance on alts?
Really disappointed the new armor clips. I realize ANET is on a budget, but this game eventually needs some polish for Charr and Sylvari clipping/stretching issues.
Although GW2 dailies are gentle, the rewards are too important to miss out on because of time-gated content.
Once we are awarded Laurels for non-daily activities, I get the feeling it will relief a lot of pressure.
I don’t see an issue with Moa Racing. It gives rich people a money sink, and it keeps those 9-rings guys entertained. All it needs now is a title associated with it. (My Guild Hall Smells of Rich Mahogany)
I can’t wait until the SAB team grace us with their presence again! :P
Exploring SAB was fun, and I hope they continue to release zones which reward us for explorations.
I do think they should implement a feature helping us keep track of the achievements better though, like tracking how many baubbles in each level.
Because it’s easier to reuse the special effects of Ascalonian Ghosts than to create a completely new effect.
Keep in mind ANET is a company on a budget. There is no financial reason to use a different effect than something cheap and cost-efficient which works.
Thank you Jon Peters!
…. and your weapon will NOT scale with the higher tier weapons that may be released in the future.
This has neither been confirmed nor denied, please don’t make it sound like you know it’s fact.
Also, Exotic Zerker > Ascended PVT any day….
jwaz speaks the truth. Why even use a weapon with no precision? There are so little builds that DON’T use critical hits…
Welcome to GW2.
To address your questions:
Weapon Skills. Your skills are determined by the weapon you use. As for bombs and grenades, they are “weapon kits” you unlock as your utility skills. Once you unlock them and use the skills, they will become self-explanatory.
As for the doom and gloom, it’s just a vocal minority. Granted while some new weapon skins released are being locked behind “RNG Boxes” from the Cash Shop, the rest of the game is amazing.
As for the Engineer, it is one of my favorite classes, personally. They are highly versatile, able to adapt to any situation they face.
The Engineer’s abilities range from buffing the team’s damage against foes, to reflecting projectiles, to even super-long range AoE!
However, be warned! The engineer is NOT for beginners! They have a very high leaning curve and take a lot of reading to use properly! You have to learn combo fields, combo finishers, secondary effects, key bindings, and all sorts of complicated tech to make yourself efficient!
However even if you are new but like complicated mechanics, then the engineer might be for you after-all!
Is this even a thing? PUGs not using autoattack in PvE?
Wow…. Worst part, is I’ve seen this happen and I thought it was just the 1 guy.
They are making engineer-y heavy armor. It’s already in the game, and presumably it will be activated on the gemstore the 20th.

Someone on the ANET team is a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki’s works.
Judging from the leaks, everything so far reminds me of Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
Seems like a bug in the upcoming Aetherblade update based on Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
Sky Pirates. Also, they have a blimp!
We need some sorta underflow system. Believe it or not, much of the game makes for a great “farm”, but no one wants to group together to do anything. We have too many dang servers!
Oh hey, it works out for us for once!
Heavy SE pants do not clip with its boots on Sylvari.

You guys are missing the point completely. The person in question is simply looking to build a group of elite contacts.
I’ve been on runs with someone asking for Ascended gear, and we have been running CoF together since. It’s simply a way to filter out those not serious, to find people easier.
Stop being so instantly judgmental. People making fun of him should be ashamed.
(edited by Kain Francois.4328)
Elementalist – What’s the point? Besides Ice Bow, it feels like everything Elementalist can do, another class can do better. Even Engineers seem to do things better!
Depends how you describe “threat”. They are like Morpheel from Twilight Princess, who is actually running AWAY from the player instead of attacking him.
When the crates go down to 10c each, the complaints will slow down.
I don’t know whether or not this was intended, but rumor has it Southsun Crates are still dropping in Southsun Cove.
If this is unintended, I plead ANET not to change it.
As it stands at the moment, nobody is even bothering to do Karka Queen anymore, and people rarely visit the area again. However if we could get official confirmation Southsun Crates are a permanent addition to the Southsun content, people would have an incentive to continue visiting the zone.
Besides, ANET has been getting a lot of flak lately for RNG. If we could be assured with permanent Southsun Crates that we can take our time working towards Sclerite Weapons, then my respect for ANET will instantly go up 57%!
I thought axe autoattack dealt 4k dmg?
Hi. I like playing glass builds that make things boom. Is necro for me? I saw a video of someone hitting 30k dmg with Axe.
Anyone else here kinda turned off from the backpiece because of the constant flapping? I love the wings, I really do, but the flapping constantly looks really odd. Am I alone on this?
What the kitten!?
I’m disappointed it wasn’t THE Colossus from FoTM…
Jesus Christt! It’s only been 2 days and you have an entire month to get them! They drop from everything in the game!
Just give it a little patience. The average seems to be 1000 chests though.
Spend it all on RNG chests then cry when I don’t get a skin.
That_Shaman is the best .dat miner ever. I’m subscribed to his reddit.
Southsun Cove was just to tide us over while other content was being worked on. The word they use was “bridge”, but it should be fairly obvious.
As far as keeping us busy goes, it was certainly successful. A majority of players enjoyed the Instigator karmatrain, while others like myself enjoyed our stay farming barracudas.
I would say it’s successful.
Having played the game since release, I really wanted to congratulate ANET for all the bug fixes so far.
At release we had broken events, broken skill points, collision we get stuck in, and more out of bounds than you can imagine!
I remember during my fight with Zhaitan I jumped into the great Abyss below, and I started swimming throughout the water of his lair!
Another time when I jumped off the side of Heart of the Mists and found myself in a wavy void that looked like “Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy”. From there, I swam all the way to an island with the ArenaNet logo!
I use to report bugs left and right! However, playing today 9 months in, I rarely ever encounter a game-breaking bug anymore. So much has been fixed by the ANET team.
Granted although there are still some annoying clipping issues and some skill bugs, most of the game-breaking bugs have been fixed.
I would like to congratulate the bug-fixing team for all their hard work so far. Good job, guys!
I have no problems with reskins. Also, these updates are awesome! I can’t wait until the “Skyloft”/Aethar update is released, because it’s really looking great!
Rumors have it we will also be getting a new map. Specifically, a new PvP map named “Skyloft” taking place in the sky.
