Torches for Eles need to be Main Hand, anything else isn’t it worth for the Ele
This I find the most interesting thing in this thread, cause torch isn’t Mainhand for any other class, so it would be a unique thing for Elementalist
I would live with that. I don’t think it’s necessary, but it would make sense to be there.
In fact there is a free space there that I had assumed would be filled with just that.
Make everyone a part of a commander’s “squad” show up as dots on the mini-map. This would provide another function for the commander icon, and while it’s 100 gold, I would be willing to pay that if it meant being able to have everyone connected
Wait I thought that’s what a squad did already…?
Negatory. and the squad is still only limited to 30 people
While not a problem most of the time, the Commander can’t kick anyone from the squad, so having random people, no longer following you, in your squad is annoying at times.
How is this in any way related to the quote?
TehPwnerer.7215 thought squad mates showed up on your mini map. I was confirming they don’t (please correct me if they do and I’ll open ticket cuz mine never has). Then I added another problem with the party/quad system in the game right now?
I guess I should have separated that? It was 2 things lumped together, sorry.
I appologize, I missed the “and” after Negatory. I didn’t realize you were making two unrelated statements.
With the new daily rewards, people will not be farming cof path 1 multiple times anymore. Stop locking people out of content. There is no reason to have people repeat the same god kitten boring content to enjoy the game. Your incentive to make the daily rewards was to get people to enjoy all dungeons / paths. The majority of the people refuse to keep doing the events to open dungeons thus your goal of getting people to explore all paths is NOT working.
I’m not certain you understand what lock means. See, lock means it’s not possible, not that people ingame are choosing not to do it. Convince people to do it, or use gw2lfg.com and group with people on other servers that might not have that issue.

(while you are at it, make the skins from PvP unlimited withdraws (I know you can redeposit the gear, but what if I have multiple toons with the same armour type…I’m a cloths horse and like to change outfits a lot).
As a completely off topic thing, yeah! Make acquiring the skin unlock the skin in the locker, and make the locker work the same as the hero panel skin thing. So once you have it unlocked you have an infinite number of them forever.
Why is this a question post?
1) Some things that are soul bound should be soul bound. Some things should have to be reaquired by a new character, not just hand-me-downed cause you out leveled it, or want to pass it around, like the salvage-o-matic and the harvesters.
2) Any item that was acquired through an special event, and also soulbound/account bound, like most of the back pieces, should be added to the achievement skins list. Anything weapon or armor you acquired through crafting or purchased with any sort of currency should not be.
3) There is only one achievement that is so difficult it’s a ridiculous effort to complete and that is Giant Slayer because there simply are not enough giants in the game that count toward it. All the rest of them can simply be completed by playing the game. You may need to play the game in specific areas, but you can still do it without any special effort beyond what is necessary to compete in the area you are in.
So you want anet to construct a large middle finger to everybody who preordered and has played the game enough to have their characters to 80 and tossed that useless little trinket?
As one of those people, I don’t see it that way.
Ok… there is a lot going on here, but if I’m reading what little I read correctly, TL;TR: Give every class something to do with all four F keys.
5 isn’t really a party, it’s more of a gathering. Get 20 or 30 people and you can call it a party.
One combo field, but the most capacity to make complete use of any available combo field. I don’t have any other character that has a blast, leap, whirl and range combo finisher with a single weapon set.
Definitely no way to abuse this. I mean I have a couple hundred skill points on my main, so I certainly couldn’t drop 76 skill points in one go to immediately have access to any and ever skill I might want as soon as they become available. At the very least buying every skill at level 5 doesn’t give you access to them, since they’re level gated for unlocking how many you can use. It’s still an absurd suggestion.
I no longer have it available without buying a new character slot. That’s not to say I won’t do so in the future. Because of that I would really like to be able to gradually upgrade the item. I would even go so far as to use all six tiers of mats, each tier upgrading it to a new level range.
The problem with piercing arrow is the nature of arrows. Arrows arc. Unlike bullets which fire in a straight line your arrows are lobbed, so even if they’re in a straight line they can miss things if those things don’t fall properly in the line of the arc.
I think the best way to fix the feature would be to lower the hitbox on some creatures. There are many creature that when I attack them I shoot up at them, which causes my arrow to fly well over the heads of things behind them, completely defeating the purpose to having the trait at all. If I always fired my arrows at if I were shooting at someone at the end of my range, which also along the tilt of the ground it would be more likely that my arrows would hit all intended targets.
Really? I have not noticed this issue. I have nine characters and I am able to quite easily keep track of which order each is in.
The Charr and Norn are in vigil, the casters and the Guardian are in Priory, the thieves and my main are in Whispers.
This is amazing. “I have a weakness against a specific class under specific circumstances. Therefore that weakness should be entirely removed.”
Do people actually think about what they’re asking for before they ask?
Cultural armor is only one set, so unless you are specifically looking for those stats you’re going to end up transmuting it anyway.
The point is the appearance, nothing else. Honestly cultural armor shouldn’t even be level 80 armor, it should be a skin.
This is what Fractals are for. 200 fractal tokens for a 20 slot rares box. All rares auto drop into it, you don’t have to think about the rest. There is also an exotics box.
This entire thread is the single motivating factor in my interest in Everquest Next. A world that actually changes and doesn’t care if those changes mean that new players can’t experience old content.
I don’t understand why this is in any way necessary.
1) This is a sandbox. There is no reason to grind XP. No matter what you choose to do you level up at roughtly the same speed. The point is to do what you want where you want. You grind to get better LOOKING armor, not necessarily better armor. Since it’s far easier to get the stats you want than the look you want. Again, this is a Sandbox. The Achievement is not your level, it’s making the character you want it to be.
2) The point is that no matter what you do, how you choose to play, and where you choose to do it, you level at roughly the same speed. I have never, for instance, had a character reach Orr before they were already level 80. The point of moving on is not because you have to move on, it’s because you want to move on. Once again, this is a Sandbox.
3) The point of the system is not to make the game challenging for higher level character. If it were they failed misserably because level scaling doesn’t really account for the stat differences between a fully geared level 80 vs lower level zones where characters don’t even have as many stats available to them.
4) If you’re actually getting defeated in low level zones, you’re a terrible player. Period. You should be soloing champions and ripping the place apart without a concern in the world. Armor repairs really shouldn’t be a significant conern at all. Besides for the fact that the charge isn’t typically much more than waypointing. Lastly, if you’re repairing before something has broken, you’re doing it wrong.
I would prefer 1 or 2 extra powers per slot than a total pool of powers to choose from like skills.
As for knowing or not knowing what you’re up against in PvP, too bad, and also good. More diversity is always a good thing, and I would not be happy to lose out on that just for the sake of PvP.
Yeah, I have never seen either of them in their instances outside of personal story stuff.
How is that any worse than what the asura are doing?
I don’t think the Asura are stealing peoples souls. Maybe the Inquest are, but since the Inquest are already working with the Aetherblades that only adds credibility to the statement.
Think a few seconds about what you do in each of the starting personal story missions when as a asura.
Then think about what we know about the asura: They “used to” experiment on sylvari (they still do but not on the friendly ones), they imprison the asura that are seen as “stupid” (so about as smart as most other mortal races), they are trying to cause the extermination of a entire race and (syn or dynamics) colleges that wanna meddle with the human gods (and kinda the elder dragons for the same reasons).
Also unlike what the musaat had (they actually had to kill people before stealing their “soul”), all asura golems are made using a adapted kind of necromancy, so no its the same bloody thing.
Sorry, no. Golemancy is golemancy. I have a Dynamics, so I have no idea where you’re getting this bit about the human gods. It’s technically illegal to do research about the dragons, only the inquest do it openly. Dunno where you get the bit about imprisoning the stupid because they’re stupid. They did experiment on the sylvari, but there isn’t a lot of information on that subject so it’s unclear who did it. If anyone still is it’s the Inquest because they don’t care about anything at all.
So again, Inquest.
Why would the Mursaat counter the Aetherblades? They are jerks who murdered people and stole their souls to keep themselves in power. If anything they would probably be working with the Aetherblades to get rid of The Shining Blade, who defeated them last time.

They did, and I’m not even so sure that if they introduce the mantle they will be fighting against us. What if they are trying to counter the Aetherblades?

Would be epic if it turns out the Mursaat were keeping the dragons pacified and our guys in gw1 just went and severely damaged the balance the mursaat created which leads up to GW2. =) The road to hell is paved with good intentions type of approach. It needed to happen but we made things worse by mistake.
As I understand it, without having actually gotten that far in the game, the Mursaat were specifically holding Primordus’s Destroyers at bay and that got screwed up. So at least in part this is already the case.
They were actually holding Door of Kormalie closed, thus preventing Titans from entering into Tyria, from another dimension.
Ahh, I just remember the image I saw looking like Destroyer Trolls, so I got confused.

No! How dare you try to hog this for WvW! Join the conversations already happening https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/almost-a-year-in-what-are-we-missing/first#post2615335, we want this as an all the time feature, not just in part of the game.
Where are you going to put the slots. The UI is huge as it is. I want the game to be like playing a movie.
How about just the other side of the health ball from F1-F4 at the same size as those icons? Put down four of them and make them F5-F8.
I hadn’t considered that the slots would show up on the screen. Why do that? Our weapons don’t show up on the screen and we all remember what we equipped.
Um… I’m not sure what weapons you’re using that they don’t show on the screen, but for me I have 5 whole icons dedicated to my weapons.
The point would be to show you what you have equipped in each of the slots and to show you which key to press to activate them.
Mini-Pet Slot and Consumables Slots need to be invisible if no items in them.
Add control over what hud features are turned on.
Maybe I’m interpreting what you said incorrectly, but if the slots are invisible when nothing is in them, then how can you put items in them?
I think he means for showing up in the UI. The Mini-pet slot shouldn’t be in the UI at all, of course, but the consumables obviously would be. Personally I think it’s silly, just put something in them. I guarantee you have something you could put in them, there is no reason to not use them.
We are pretty awesome. A friend of mine got his girlfriend into the game, but she ended up starting on a different server cause she couldn’t join us.
Forget this queue thing, just give Tarnished Coast more server space cause we’re so cool.
If it is in the Activities tab of the Hero Panel, it probably counts toward that daily
How would having a place only we can access show someone who can’t access it anything about anything?
What class are we talking about here. Multiple classes have greatswords and they all use them differently. Each race also holds and uses the weapon differently.
How is getting exactly what you want when you go into the fight for advanced users? I’m assuming the point of this suggestion is to provide a more reliable method of obtaining leather and cloth for crafting. Currently it is easy to get wood, ore, foods and even gems, but extremely unreliable to get cloth and leather unless you salvage armor. I for one don’t want to have to salvage armor when I should be able to get the mats from the original source in the first place.
My preference in a fourth harvesting tool, the skinning knife. I don’t really know how it would work for fabrics, maybe if you used the skinning knife on insects you got fabric and on other creature you got leather. I know T1-T3 of cloth are actually plant fiber, but T5 and T6 are from insects. It can only be used on creatures, none of the races.
I’m confused, doesn’t sage come from herb nodes? I’m unclear which one, Mature or Verdant, probably. It is just a random chance each time you harvest a node, it isn’t a specific node that produces it.
Also, if you really wanted them you should have made use of Zepher Sanctum while it was available. One of the Karma vendors probably had sage leaves for sale in bulk.
Alright so obviously we’l be using Final Fantasy VII gravity rules so the Skill 1 power will always do 1/2 of the targets current health, so it does amazing spike in the beginning but is ultimately incapable of actually killing the target. From there none of the other powers do any damage at all and just move things around the field.
So power 2 is power 5 of rifle, or else rocket boots, both of which already do that, but rocket boots don’t do damage and now include evade.
Power 3 is power 4 of Shield.
Power 4 is power 5 of Guardian Staff. A really fun one for mobs, but generally useless against players, except in very specific situations.
Power 5 is fairly unique but reminds me of power 5 of Mesmer Greatsword and it usually a serious nuisance to anyone trying to catch clusters in an AoE.
Ultimately I don’t see a lot of value in this set. Not to mention gravity manipulation doesn’t really fit into the tinkerer toolset very well.
Why are so many of you playing a fantasy game, when it’s clear you’d be more at home in a FPS/CoD environment?
None of this statement makes any sense, nor has anything at all do to with the discussion at hand.
Well I’d also love to see more immunities and counters thrown on enemies and ranks, but sometimes I think people are just being silly.
Earth Elementals should be immune to bleed? Um, they’re already immune to CC. And most boss mobs have resistance to conditions in general. If more immunities are spread, wouldn’t it be smart to apply them to more than just conditions?
Absolutely. I want to see mobs that are immune to crits to counter crit builds and mobs with really good direct damage reduction to counter power builds. I don’t just mean conditions when I say build counters.
Completely agree, it would be awesome. Moreover, if it were up to ANet I’m fairly confident they would be open to it. The problem is that it would come down to NCSoft and I have no confidence in them to do something like this.
Race and class changes are not a thing and should not be a thing
Alright. Normally I would say no, but I can definitely see a value in giving a free transfer to new account. Say, any account created after the transfer lock out could have one free transfer, for this exact reason. It is actually fair.
I don’t follow how this is supposed to work. Is it saying that each dynamic event you do increases the value of the next event you do?
No.
Thank you for being so informative. Shall I continue coming up with random things your suggestion could be, or would you prefer to elaborate?

+1
Three O’Clock, time to craft!
I don’t follow how this is supposed to work. Is it saying that each dynamic event you do increases the value of the next event you do? So you could bust through the really easy low level events to boost up your bonus, then do high level events for big profit?
I don’t think I could agree with this. The only way I think this would be legitimate is for event chains. The more of the event chain you do the better the final prize. That is a good incentive.
I suppose I could also see an area thing, like the more unique events you do in a specific zone increases the value of all the events in the zone, but that it resets when you leave the zone, like a stacking onkill sigil.
None of this makes sense to me.
Fall behind what?
What exactly is it you need to do dailies for? Unless you are doing nonstop fractals with every single character you should probably have hooked yourself up with whatever ascended gear you might want by now from laurels, so what is it you’re needing to do?
If you don’t want to do new content, don’t. If you don’t want to do dailies, don’t. Unless you simply don’t want to play the game, though, it is typically a simple job to complete most dailies just by doing what you like. I haven’t felt like I was grinding dailies since they changed them to the rotating selection process. There is almost no need to actually do living world content ever unless you really can’t live without whatever prize you get from the meta achievement.
I just don’t understand what the problem is here.
ascended gear is max stats, and also valuable for fotm. so you could say that people may want it. to get it as fast as possible, they are required to log in daily. every daily you miss is like a laurel lost.
btw, laurels give lots of other interesting exclusive rewards, and many more may come in the future (ascended weapons?).
But max stat doesn’t mean anything in this game. I ran in mostly greens, with a handful of rares and even a blue, because I wasn’t willing to spend gold on items I’d replace anyway once I could craft exotics. Do you know what amount of improvement I experienced in my play once I upgraded everything to exotics and ascended? None, at all. The numbers are so small that it literally makes no difference as long as your gear is at least close to your max level.
So no, unless you are doing high level fractals and are in need of agony resistance, there is no actual NEED for such things.
lol I have thought about the 3D printer idea before actually but I have to agree that I came to the same conclusion. Learning it well enough to get it to look good isn’t really something I care to do. I can just “farm” cash from my job and buy it from them.
Honestly my biggest confusion is the lack of clothing and accessories. I get that personalized stuff would be harder to come up with but hoodies and shirts? Not to mention that they could even do some limited runs of living story inspired stuff for some of the bigger events such as halloween/wintersday/dragon bash. They could do a limited run that would fit the timing of the events plus players love to have exclusive stuff.
The simple answer is that manufacturing costs and the profit margins aren’t necessarily worth it to NCSoft since it is ultimately NCSoft who would be doing it, not ANet.
Do you really believe that with all the money we spend on gems and in game items that NC Soft wouldn’t turn a decent profit by actually making things I can touch, wear, and use in real life? I’m normally pretty reserved on the interwebs about things so if I want it bad enough I know there are others who feel the same way.
Um, yes. I spent ten dollars this month for 800 gems to get the salvage slot machine. That is $10 of pure profit with zero overhead and the is the least I could pay for gems without using gold. In order to make actual physical things they need to pay for design, materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Then they have to sell the thing for a cost you’d be willing to pay. How much of that cost do you really think is left after the fact. From what I understand of the process, we’re usually talking a dollar, kind of profit. It’s not worth it when they can make ten times that for literally nothing.
None of this makes sense to me.
