A) A way of simply testing new achievements or adding direction for people to test that will be reset and available to all after launch
Or
B) Achievements that are a tiny (really, from what I hear its 5AP, half a daily) thank you to beta players that will be the only thing kept from the beta.

My money is on A, but I see nothing wrong with B if that’s what they went with.

I bet on A too, but I hope B. It would be a nice incentive to play beta again to people who have already unlocked most of it.

Instead, go ahead and change it to the Avenger it was originally meant to be, but wasn’t named so because the spec revelation happened to be around the time of the airing of the Avengers movie (fun fact: Dragonhunter was revealed on the same day when the movie aired in Hungary and Poland).

How so? The key problem is that Tempest is being designed as a “melee brawler / group support” specialization, but that is exactly what D/D cele elementalist is all about.

I agree. Nerf core Ele, so tempest becomes useful.

they should simply move some of the core ele traits and functions to tempest.
this way ele gets nerfed without really getting nerfed, and tempest becomes useful.

Just a question, will be taking part of beta first time with Hot here. If I make beta char it will make a copy of my bank.. this meaning I can use all consumables/runes/armors and so on and wont lose anything from my real account?

I wouldn’t mind making it a full heal at start, then 6 daggers only doing damage at any interval you want.
I don’t know if it fits thematically however.
A mid ground could be make 4k starting heal, then 800 damage daggers siphoning 50% of the dealt damage, or something like that. Even 1s icd would be ok this way, since the main source of heal is already granted.

I think I’ll use all the legends, picking them according to the situations. Back on topic, Herald is pretty good regardless of the legends you choose.

I totally see Jalis/Glint (only conceptually until Jalis is fixed) for a WvW backline support, same for Ventari/Glint or Ventari/Jalis+Nature. Hammer+Staff in all 3 setups.

Shiro/Glint looks pretty fun in pve group events, while Glint/anything-except-shiro looks pretty darn useful in dungeons and fractals. S+Shield/Hammer being my weapons of choice.

The 100% fury bonus on Roiling Mists means that Fury gives you 40% bonus instead of 20%.

52% base critical chance, 100% critical chance with perma fury + just precision banner.
240+% critical damage, +90 vitality.

That’s if you want max damage. If you want more survivability you can swap in some more Valkyrie armor.

I you use Corruption (Maniacal Persistance) + Invocation you only need 47% base crit chance.

Yeah well, they said primal bursts are supposed to be weaker then normal bursts, but you can use them more often. I don’t see that rifle supernova being weaker.

sure, DH ranged oriented, lol. Longbow (at least in last beta) was crap compared to scepter+focus/torch, and traps are all but ranged.

DH is just Braham trying to be a pet-less Ranger with his mother’s bow.

that thing can be used every 5 seconds (it’s not really hard to stack adrenaline now, berserk mode is basically a skill you can use on cd and you don’t even need to build up). reflects are not so easy to access, plus can just be used once a reflect wears off.

So after talking on the build forum for the build I made and want to use I learned a great deal about how the zerker armor would end up giving me too much crit chance so I changed the armor and runes to being Valkyrie + 6 runes of rage while the weapons, trinkets, back item, necklace, and rings remain as zerker to get a boost in the crit to around 40% The rest of mine is almost the same though: sw/sh or sw/a and hammer with legends being shiro and glint.

going to run pretty much this, except zerk armor and valkyrie trinkest (most of them), up to 52% base crit rate (factoring accuracy sigil), so the rest can go to vitality. Rune of rage allows to select survivability stuff in invocation (no need for extra fury with Glint).

damage on selected golem was done in 1 hit, and if there were more golems the skill would have hit them too with rifle penetration. That skill has no limit, even if they add a 5 targets limit it will still hit up to 125 targets, with multiple hits on many of them

Guardian and Warrior have dodge effects via traits (light for Guardian’s heal and a small explosion for Warrior, that also gets a big red aura in Berserk mode).
Necro has Shroud aura while in shroud, plus on dodge marks via traits, and Ele has a lot of effects on dodge also via trait.
Engi, Mesmer and Ranger have no real graphical effects to apply to a dodge. I mean, you could add butterflies to Mesmer, but why? They don’t help you dodge.

Thief already has it to make the dodge look faster/agile, and it fits.

Get ready for another 2 years of “Berserker full zerker or kick”, thanks Robert.

1 week ago Roy Cronacher said about Revenant “well, we can’t have everything”, justifying Revenant’s weakness to condition damage.

Then yesterday Berserker stream:
Rubi: “You can’t have everything.”
Hugh: “Well, we can have a lot of things.”

That’s the same kitten reasoning that gave us Ele and Mesmer.
Of course people are upset about Tempest, Ele can already cover any role and do anything, Tempest cannot literally add anything to a class that can already do everything.

Back on Berserker, you can pop a rifle F1 and do 6k damage on 5 targets + 3.5k damage on 25 targets + aoe burning on 25+ targets, and if they already had burning you also spread it with explosion trait up to 125 targets, and ONLY if they add the 5 targets limit, currently it’s not even limited., I mean, even WITH the 5 targets limit it’s going to deal up to 125 hits.

How to 1hit kill a zerk group: the class.

Let me add that rifle f1 has 5s cd and it’s not hard to spam it, also because you can stay permanently in Berserk.

-Defense, which means bye bye to the strongest defensive traits the warrior has: Dogged March, Adrenal Health, Defy Pain and Cleansing Ire.

Yeah, give up to this. It’s pretty simple.
You basically can’t die while in berserker mode. You get 2,6k heal + bonus heal for adrenaline if you get a fatal hit. You don’t really need defense with this class.
Highest hp pool, heavy armor, invincibility while in berserk, aoe taunt, stuns, cc, stability. Not counting all the damagem of course. You’ll melt anything before taking any damage.

You already get tons of condi cleanse and stability+strunbreaks from berserker and torch, plus a lot of cc (AOE taunt every 12 seconds is HUGE).

Another problem is that now berserker also has basically infinite fire fields (and a moving one). There will be no need for class cooperation on those, you just need 1 berserker to do the job of 2 elementalists, and ele is already pretty OP.

Also this:

This trait has literally no sense in the current meta. Unless it has a 20 seconds icd.

And the other GM is AOE taunt every 12 seconds. AOE taunt… Every 12 seconds… in PvP………………

Berserker is basically “please nerf me”: the class.

If they want to go into e-sports they need to fix this stuff.

A plain damage decrease to everything would solve NOTHING. Weaker classes will still be weaker, and to the point that they’re completely useless for the current content.
I agree, damage is high, but only on some classes (Ele/Mesmer). Necro and Thief are more then fine, they don’t need any reduction, as well as Revenant.

Shiro has only 2 means to increase dps: the healing skill and Impossible Odds. And IO is useless if you have a Chronomancer or a couple of Guardians in the group, plus consumes too much energy.

So I’d rather have the daggers spike damage then heal more. If you have a shield/staff and Jalis you can get a lot of burst heal anyway.

Remove the siphon on the healing skill and Shiro is basically useless in a meta group. Not that is really useful even now anyway.

Warrios got a nice elite spec, I like it and think it will be balanced….. If only they dare fixing that ridiculously overpowered burning condition !!!

What is ele’s weakness again ? . . . (Please don’t make me laugh, don’t say frost).

I really agree with that. I’m not against every class having a weakness, but I’d like to know what is Ele’s, Berserker’s and Mesmer’s.
I mean, a Mesmer now can solo lv50 Fractal, there is a video.

It lasts 15 seconds right? How about 20 seconds if you think 30 is too much.

I think 30 was just an example to make us understand his reason behind a short duration.

However it’s not really a problem imo since we spend energy to use that skill, and the base heal is another reason to use it wisely.

Regardless Roy doesn’t like to make op stuff and then nerf it later it seems. I like his approach more, I wish other devs were like him. I know it’s harsh to say, but that’s my opinion.

He has always improved stuff that needed improvement. He earned my trust.
