Triple Trouble needs to be nerfed for get a better scaling system for when not enough dps is there. the fungus isnt helping.

Leveling in GW2 isnt fun.
It was a downer before. but now there is little reward for leveling.
Nothing improved for the lower levels, yet you say you dont want people rushing to level.
Why should I take my time leveling in your detailed world if its painful to level?
My gripe is that these low level zone boss’s don’t seem to be designed for the level range they are in.
I noticed this with the Shadow Behemoth. This is a level 1-17 zone. I was there with my level 30 Engineer. It took 14 minutes to kill it and I was there from the beginning, putting all my firepower in to it.
I didn’t do enough damage to get a chest. That’s ****** up!

Liking some of the updates but how do I transmute my stat and runes now? Great I can transmute skins but I am not buying another rune.
example:
I have gloves with power, precision, healing with a superior rune of undead. I decided I wanted to change it to power, vitality, condition damage. I bought the new gloves and went to transmute them so I have the new stats and my old rune, but I can’t. I either do not know how to with this new patch or the team did not consider this. I really hope it’s the first.
I am confused about the complaint. are you trying to change the look of your new item?
or are you trying to get a rune out a red item and put it into something new?
I didnt run crit builds. So I am not familiar with it.
But what is wrong with the new stat?
Whelp after 5 level 80 characters and about a thousand hours of gametime I’ve decided I no longer want to play this game.
The last 5 months WvW has been the only thing to keep my interest and the constant 2v1’s are just killing the fun for me. It doesn’t matter if we’re on the winning or losing side and the latest update was pretty much the final blow.
I wanna say goodbye to all of you, and I hope whomever reads this topic that still plays has fun and enjoys the game longer than I did.
what ruined WvW for you in the recent patch?
I had all the elites except the two golem skills, and Tornado.

I am saving my points up. I also dont have my new Heal skill.
I am level 43, so I dont have many traits.

I want new Spirits.
I leveled my ranger to max level to experience full Spirit support build in which I buff my teammates while debuffing enemies in WvW.
But what sort of spirit could we get next? any ideas?

Levels are meaningless grind that could be replaced with meaningful progression system.
Use tutorials for tutorials, not force us to grind levels as an excuse for tutorial.
If they were sitting in your inventory, and you double clicked them, they went into your wallet. Like other currencies, they reside there now, so they don’t take up inventory space (hooray for that change!)

I sort of like levels… I’m ok with having them.
I know if levels were removed I’d have at least 1 guildie that wouldn’t know what to do with herself. It’s literally all she does. She makes a character, builds it to 80, wipes it and starts over. The girl can’t set and focus on a long term goal even if her life depended on it, but she can roll and reroll a character to 80…. forever and ever. Its a little strange.
She/he could just play the game, complete task then wipe the character and start all over again. I dont see how removing levels prevent the same player from grinding content then deleting character over and over again if thats what they like.
How about try to get map completion then delete your character after you get that instead of level grinding.
All 5 of them are gone. Never used the transmute system.

Many MMOs dont. the first MMOs didnt have character levels. it had other forms of progression.

Progression doesnt have to be character levels though.
Nowhere is it stated that a MMO needs to have Character levels in order for it to be a MMO. UO didnt have character levels yet was the first MMO.

Now with the recent bad trait system update, the game focus more and more on endgame.
When Anet stated “Endgame starts at level 1”
We know that statement isnt true, especially now after recent update.
People already pointed out how levels have been pointless grinds before, due to the scaling system.There was really no point of having a leveling system.
Now with the recent change, the Leveling reward has greatly been reduced to the point that it once again support the suggestion of getting rid of the Leveling all together.
Just start everybody off at level 80 in whatever starter zone their race is, and let them make their own journey from there. Fully Horizontal progression, with no useless leveling and zone levels in our face anymore.
Give us full trait points from start, but unlock new traits by doing task. No longer grind trait points.
Same for unlocking new skills. Add new skills in the game world and players discover them by playing in the world.
Let us make our own journey instead of developers forcing a journey of their own on us with the leveling/zone levels system.
Please get rid of CHARACTER LEVELS!!!
From now on maybe Anet should do public testing before patches..

some of the changes that people aren’t liking will possibly be further tweaked with hotfixes, just give it time.
The best you all can do is provide calm and detailed feedback like some have already been doing. It is possible that they had overlooked some things and all of you will do a better job at finding the issues than a small team would be able to.

Anet nerfed my characters into the dirt today by taking away almost all Traits my characters had earned. I am not a good enough Player to reach level 80. That’s right, I am not good enough at this game… but I love parts of GW2 enough that I had kept the game installed so I could return one day.
Well today I log in and my highest character, lvl 51 ELE has four traits out of the over 15 he used to have. FOUR. I was having a hard enough time as it is.Anet doesn’t want People like me playing their MMO. Anet must want the Players that can breeze through leveling content to 80, which I admit I have had a hard time doing. Without those traits, and the benefits I each of my characters got from them, the game is now beyond my abilities.
These changes were great for the gazillion lvl 80s, but not good for Players that have a hard time with this game. Anet decided whom their preferred customers are and I am not on the list.
I am not rage quitting, I just realize I don’t belong here and there is no sense in holding out hope I might play GW2 again.
Feedback Given. Resigned from Guild. All Characters deleted. Game Uninstalled.

I mean, there are some optional things (like soloing champions) that are pretty challenging, but just getting to 80 is not difficult. Hell, you can get there just by farming the zerg train and crafting.
I only just hit 80 recently and the biggest obstacle to me was just that my characters looked like kitten so I kept getting bored with them. When I finally bit the bullet and just accepted my character wouldn’t look the way I wanted till 80, it took me under a month to do. Some people have done it significantly faster by choosing to do more streamlined routes to 80. Now that styles are available to all character levels, that one is gone and I expect I’ll be leveling alot more characters up.
Maybe you should play Vulgarr the Viking or Holy Diver or something to put things in perspective.
PVE wise there are only 3 things hard in this game. Teq, Wurm and solo Arah everything else is a joke.
Leveling is also hard because its boring, and that makes it hard to focus on leveling.

Right now it is Group guest’s champion and their spawn time is 25-30 minutes (OMG ANET) – but there is reward if we will kill 3 champions in 10min after they will spawn we will get bonus chest called “Splendid Chest” – it contained a) 1 item from “green” to “orange” rarity! b) Bag of Coins – 4-9 silver inside c) Thimble of Liquid Karma = 1 000 karma.
For the reason long spawn time we need to build route where we can farm champ 30 minutes non stop. So next we go to the Dimotiki Waypoint:

Than our rotation will be:
5) Champion Ice Troll (Earthshake Waypoint)
6) Champion Ice Drake Broodmother(Skyheight Steading Waypoint)

Totaly = 30 Champion’s lootbags per 1 h.It is the same as queensdale train, but here you are killing hight lvl champ, you get here better lootbags(check wiki – lootbag from my route can give more exo and t6 mats) you get t6 mats. Also it isn’t such "zombie mode as it was befor.
Negative:
1)you spend a bit more for WP cost.This route is running at Desolation. Come there as a guests. We did few runs with this route today. but there is not many people there right now + a lot of people doesn’t know what to do. I made that guide to advice you to join us in our trying to get TRAIN BACK!

I have a level 40 character. Just logged in and boom down to only 2 trait points.
each new trait point counts for 5 old trait points. so instead of 5 to get to next trait skill, it now only takes 1, and every 1 trait now gives as many stats kitten used to give.
And now you have to wait 5 levels to improve your character instead of getting a little better every level.

I am level 41 on my Ele, and now I only have 2 points, and none of them are the support traits I enjoyed which all been either moved to master and grandmaster over the last few big patches…
this is terrible change.

Fastest way right now is probably Edge of the Mists. You can get almost 30 levels in one match. Boosters, xp buff food, guild xp banners, find a good commander and stick to him like glue

Toon refer to Cartoon Character. since the characters we play in games are animated like a cartoon is. So they just removed the Character part and shortened Cartoon into Toon.
I agree with the OP on a lot of their points.
So here’s an idea, what if A-Net can put a gemstore option sort of kickstarter thing where we pay gems to help finance them balancing the game or adding end-game content, such as hard mode dungeons or any of the other thousands of ideas thrown around.
Same can be done with new professions, races and weapons.

Use it as a melee weapon. Forget the look and feel of it. pretend you are playing melee. same concept.
Not exactly. Since each is on a delay you can’t treat it as any other melee weapon or you won’t hit anything unless it’s stationary (which I would assume is not the situation this thread was created for).
They have a radius, and you can lay out multiples for this very reason. Spam them in a melee oriented way, controls the field.
Try it.
And when you are being kitted, thats when you switch to a ranged weapon. Same exact concept as playing a melee weapon actually.
Fill me in on what new traits you all want.
Hammer weapon.
melee kit.
Robot that can fight and move.
Robot that can heal and move.
Robot that can Tank and Control and move.
