What I find funny is how it’s the PVT bads who are saying “zerk makes PvE faceroll QQ pls nerf” but what they don’t understand is that most zerkers are also bads using subpar rotations, utilities and weapons and have a poor understanding of encounters and faceplant themselves, getting carried by the experienced zerker. I’ve taken part in a number of “zerk only”, “exp only”, “melee lupicus” pugs, watched them all die and then finished him off myself.
The fact of the matter is, zerker IS high risk, high reward. If you try playing zerker like a scrub in Arah, you’ll just die. If you try scrubbing in CoF p1, using whirling axe and camping greatsword, your DPS carries you despite it sucking.
The tl;dr is – zerker does not need nerfing. Bad zerkers die. Good zerkers succeed. Risk. Reward. It’s right there.
Now if you would all stop watching speed videos or reading dungeon forum chat about how we all obliterate everything since we’re playing with likeminded individuals, you’d realise it’s a small minority who can blitz content in berserker, and your average pug zerk is just some casual bad trying to “fit in” with his “OP” zerk warrior despite their DPS being utterly average.

The only ones asking for pure zerk nerfs are the terribad players who can’t learn a fight’s mechanics nor how to dodge.
They’re spoiled brats and should not be listened to.
Because they don’t have a particularly good record when it comes to balancing.

Anet will only nerf zerk to the ground or make it useless through cheap mechanics such as immune to crit, invulnerable phases etc …

That’s called risk/reward ratio : you take higher risks but when you know your opponents and what to do, you’re very successful, that’s only natural !
The opposite would be insanley stupid and has very high chances of happening : it definitely seems like Anet wants PVT to be kings everywhere. So players just don’t have to learn mechanics, they just go with PVT and facetank everything ? How exciting ! …..
You guys don’t even realize your huge mistake. Anet will never buff other gears, Anet will crush zerk either directly by nerfing the stuff or more likely indirectly my making just about everything immune to crit or spamming OS undodgeable attacks etc … (kitten of the kind).
I love this game despite the serious lack of comprehensive updates (that correspond to what players want) like terrible fractals but honestly, if they ruin zerk, I’ll also consider quitting the game.
There would be no point in a game rewarding everything that is lame.

I disagree with evaded : if it’s evaded, nop it should not apply revealed.
Same for blind, there’s already, it would be too powerful.

Well at least you can customize the colors on your armor.
As for me, I have 2 characters for which I cannot change the colours of their armors. The change does appear in previsualisation window but when I confirm, nothing has happened in fact.
I filed a ticket and they told me to report bug through IG window, which I did, so I should be able to customize them again within 1 or 2 years
Just the fact that we can now post suggestions in each subforum is great.
The suggestion subforum was just so huge, such a mess that nobody would read it, was just “hey I throw a suggestion here and I’m going away”.
So just for that, it’s cool. Other than that, I haven’t yet noticed any difference.

I think subclasses are wrong for this game. Those who support subclasses seem to want a lot of things, none of which actually require a subclass system. I’d far prefer a redesign of the trait system to be more flexible, but even that is questionable because of balance concerns.
Adding subclasses opens up ZERO additional fun content or customization options.
Want more armor? You can have it without subclasses.
Want more skills? You can have them without subclasses.
Want more traits? You can have them without subclasses.
Want more weapons? You can have them without subclasses.
Want profession-specific weapons? You can have them without subclasses.
Want cosmetic options tied to specific roles? You can have them without subclasses.
Want control and support builds viable? You can have that without subclasses.
I think we can have everything that subclasses could offer without having them IG. Furthermore, it could be going backwards instead of going forward since it would mean losing some things to get others, it does not go well with the notion of build diversity. It’s more of “showing off” or kinda aesthetic change for no real impact.
I’d rather have more focus on adding new skills, weapons, traits, balancing etc …. than wasting time adding subclasses.
Alright since we really have to choose only 1 thing, here’s mine :
Role Diversification
This includes :
1) New weapons available for professions for more diversity (Example : MH pistol for mesmer :P) and maybe also new weapons (like 2 Handed Axes)

Addition of more skills, not just 1 healing skill but something like 2 new utilities, but especially elites.
Indeed, 3 elites is pretty much very low, not giving a lot of choice. Also there is a problem of balancing elite skills between categoris and professions.
By categories, I mean there are at least 2 : elites with short CD, pretty useful but not that strong (like Signet of Rage or Basilisk Venom) and the elites that are “strong” (at least supposed to be) with long CD (example : Battle Standard, Time Warp).
Every class should have at least 1 elite from each category. Some professions have only long CDs.
Other problem is design too focused on sPvP, making most of elites garbage in PvE and sometimes in WvW too.
Look at the elites in PvE. Warriors have Signet of Rage and Battle Standard : nice.
Mesmers only have Time Warp. Rangers have only Rampage as One.
Guardians have all 3 not very good but not bad either. Necromancers have the golem for some CC or Lich form for damage, but still not that great.
And then …. some troubles.
Thieves : Thieves Guild but they die too fast so it’s useless, Venom is useless since there’s defiant and Dagger Storm is meh.
Engineer : Everything is plain garbage. Elixir X and Mortar are equally useless while the Supply Crate is just lackluster : not completely useless but not good either.
Elementalists : Tornado is useless because defiant, the Glyph is useless because the elemental dies very fast anyway. FGS is only useful in some situations (please hug the wall !)
3) More accountwide
Because progress made by 1 character should be more profitable to alts too, there should be more things accountbound rather than soulbound.
For instance, dyes should be made accountbound.
Also, harvesting tools : these should be made real account wide : you purchase one and you’re able to get one soulbound for each of your characters, especially since it’s pretty expensive.
The same should go for gem skins : you buy a weapon or an armor, you should be able to use it more than once.
4) Saving options
Because diversification = diversity = more builds/gears = need to switch from one to another easier, in a convenient way.
We thus need (c/c from my previous post)
- Save Templates (all modes)
Because yes, we should definitely be able to save templates for our characters. QoL is one of the most important thing for long term and hardcore players.
This had been said before it was under radar for sPvP first because it was more difficult for PvE/WvW. How come it’s still not released ? It means it should be easy for PvP but we still have no news.
By the way, it should be released for all modes at the same time, not for sPvP only and then the rest.
- Save Gear
We should be able to save gear combinations, a la Outfitter (WoW Addon) : one click to change your whole armor/weapons/trinkets or just a few pieces.

Alright, time to get to fractals/ascended. Yes, it still has to do partially with horizontal progress (like infusions).
The main problem of fractals is that RNG is everywhere and RNG is kitten.
Ascended weapons and armors are way too rare and too reliant on RNG. As the word RNG implies, some hardcore players will farm over and over and get nothing, other kittenty players will rune just 2 or 3 times and get what they want …
Further more, even worse, even when we’re able to get one, we get kittenty stats.
Solutions for stats :
1) Remove stats, let us choose them (universal boxes, it seems to already exist, waiting to be introduced)
2) Allow ascended, like legendaries, to be able to swap stats
This could be pretty hard to do and legandaries owners would complain of losing the unicity of them.
Solutions to kittenty RNG :
1) Drastically improve loot chance, allow to loot on mobs as well as at the end (not very good idea)
2) Make pristine fractal relics tradable for 1 ascended weapon box or 1 ascended armor box
Consequently, change how many pristine you get from a run to prevent easy farm of lower levels :
11-20 : 1 pristine
21-30 : 2 pristine
31-40 : 3 pristine
41-50 : 4 pristine
Now, let’s say something like you need 20 pristine to get 1 box.
This way, you need about 5 days if you only do daily 41-50 to get 1 item, or much, much more if you do lower dailies.
You can be even faster if you farm several dailies in a day.
It definitely seems the fairest solution : it gets rid of kittenty RNG by allowing rewards to time investment while still keeping time gated reward.
3) Add mats to the daily. You still get a chance to get 1 weapon or armor box But you also ALWAYS get to choose ascended material.
For instance, you can choose between
a) 1 deldrimor steel ingot OR 1 Spiritwood Plank OR 1 Elonian Leather Square (for weapon)
AND, in addition to that
b) 1 deldrimor steel ingot OR 1 Elonian Leather Square OR 1 bolt of Damask (armor)
This way, it gives a slight chance AND it also helps slowly towards crafting through guaranteed ascended mats.
Probably the easiest solution which does not require an extra currency (since it seems Anet wants to just get rid of pristine fractal relics). Not the best but still pretty good.
Also possible to be able to choose more than 1 in each category depending on daily level (like 1 for 21-40, 2 for 41-60 etc …)
Finally, infusions. Because seriously, it can’t be that only +1 are available and you should be able to get much better ones in higher levels, we should be able to get +2 AR, +3 AR … infusions to have a smoother progression that makes more sens.

- Dyes
As many before have said, these should be made account wide
- Weapons

Because the inventory is often a mess, we should be able to sort things, a la Ark Inventory (WoW Addon) : it allow us to split it into different categories, different columns. Very convenient to separate gears/consumables etc …

For these 3 last things, it would be pretty easy to achieve by just allowing players to create their own addons to do this …

Also it would cause some problems like cultural armors, and the appearance of armors that would have to change.
Add to that the problem as said before of personal story : it would have to be completely wiped, making players angry.
So I don’t think it will be possible one day.
I haven’t done Toypocalypse nor Trixx this year so just judging from the activities.
- JP is quite fast if you’re really good at it but there’s still some risk to fail and very repetitive for me.
- The Chaos (PvP) can be either very good or very bad depending on your team I don’t like it since it depends too much of other players.
- For me, the best is choir since you don’t need a party and you don’t depend on other’s performances : as long as you’re good, you get presents.
It gives quite a lot within a short period of time too.
Alright so I’ve filed a support ticket concerning and it was confirmed that yeah, it has never been a hack or security problem but it’s definitely because of the access from a phone.
They told me to remove the “remember me”, which is that your browser remembers your login and password.
Thus, you gotta type everything everytime if you want to access it from your phone without your password resetting.
Don’t know if it’s a bug they’re working on, don’t think so.
Yup, they nerfed absolutely everything : fractal skins, infused rings, number of tokens, ascended weapons …..
Overall , they increased difficulty (so they said) through instabilities but nerfed the rewards … wonderful !

I’ve just tested it myself : password working.
Then I go to my mobile, browse using 3G with the same bug as mentionned in my previous post.
Then I go back to the game : password no longer working.
Now that’s one thing : definitely not a security problem nor a hack (as I had been told through support).
Question now is : how do I get rid of this ? I know “no longer use your phone” is an option, but not very convenient …
Is there any other way ?

1) I’m using Gmail but AFAIK, I’ve always received all the emails (from support, those who state I’ve changed my account email address etc …) and I usually receive the confirmation mails when I am trying to access my account from a non authorised device.
Still, I have added all the emails from Anet to my contact list to see.
2) As I said Brother Grimm, I’ved checked the history and nop, no unknown IP has had access.
3) I know that there would be more, that’s why I posted here and did not file a ticket : to have more answers and … it seems that the answer I was looking for is there :

Are you sure your password was changed, or was it just not working when you tried to use it?
There have been issues with account passwords not working. They where not being changed, but they no longer worked. Support was tracking the issue and there was something about trying to access your account here on the forums from a smart phone that could cause it as well.
Before assuming it’s a security issue, you should open a ticket with support and let them look in to the issue. Top of page, support, then submit a request in the upper right hand corner.
Now this is interesting because Anet told me there was indeed a hack from my ticket but indeed, I only know the password was no longer working (and I know how to type a password several times thanks ….)
I think that indeed, I might have accessed it from 3G only once (no automatic access to the IP though) since it was still saved into my phone, and when I came back home, the password was no longer working (but it could have been changed before that).
FYI, I’m using an Android Phone with Dolphin Browser+Dolphin Jetpack (if it can help) and I had noticed it did not show me threas I had read as such, which I found surprising :o

I don’t know if other people have encountered the same problem but I’m under the impression that there is a security flaw somewhere from GW2/Anet.
On 3rd December, I got my password modified twice without receiving any confirmation mail or mail to allow the access, so I decided to file a ticket.
I had some elements that could have caused the problem due to security issues :
- I had allowed free access to my 3G internet access (to browse forum on my mobile)
- I accessed my account on unsecured internet providers (university, job)
1) So I modified the email address to one that is unique to the game, not posted on any website, with a strong password used nowhere else.
I activated the double factor authentication for that mail address AND for the GW2 account.
2) Then I removed all free access to IPs to my account, except for the one from home (static IP).
3) I made sure to clean viruses : reenforced analysis with Avira Antivir, MalwareBytes Anti Malware, AdW Cleaner … (nothing found)
So I should have been OK
But, tonight, it happened again : password was changed again.
So, like last time, only the password was changed, account remained the same but I still have not received any email ….
Like last time, I checked the history regarding my email adress : nothing except from my legit ones.
Consequently, there are only 3 possibilites :
1) Someone hacking me using my IP (don’t how it could be possible …)
2) Someone hacking through using my own computer without I noticing it ?
3) A security flaw that would allow to bypass the security from authentication confirmation asked ….
I’m ready to hear/read about your opinions guys.

They said so many months ago it was something they were adressing and that it would be released for sPvP first because much easier but if “easy” is that long, I can’t imagine how long it would take for PvE/WvW … probably many years
Also, I don’t know if it’s included in that but some options to manage inventory/gear would be nice too.
For instance : hey I’m going to open world PvE, I click that button and here’s my Gear 1 equipped.
Ok now I’m going to dungeons, let’s click the other button to have my gear 2 equipped.
If they can’t, just give the opportunity to players to create addons …

From what I understood, no update until 21th January. It’s legit, that’s called holidays.
From 21th January, we get 4 updates only dealing with LS and absolutely nothing else (probably just a few minor fixes).
Then comes the big feature only update, 18th March, that finally brings update with content/fixes etc … corewise.

Also, I don’t know if it is intended that the tunnel spams KD on you all the time, even when you’ve done the whole thing. What’s the use of putting stones on the tings ? It doesn’t even change that ?
Why does it get deactivated after some time and you have to remove the sone, move, put the stone again ?

The problem is not leaving the instance, which still allows you to get the reward.
The problem is the owner leaving the party or switching char.
But this has to with handling of dungeon ownership and they still haven’t done anything to it nor have they said anything about actual changes to it, only some vague rumors …
The best thing I see coming for scepter if they really want to keep it defensive and improve #1 through a condition would be adding a short duration of weakness (2-3 sec) and that clones could apply it too on 3rd hit.
Since it reduces damage output, this fits the defensive role, but it’s also offensive through endurance regeneration slower …
I’m also definitely against since char bound allows multiple daily rewards. If daily reward is improved well enough, that will be much more interesting to grind levels with alts.
Also, considering the molten and aetherblade maps, I hope these will be adapted in terms of length and difficulty since I can only imagine atherblade as it was in 40+ fractals : the only map even longer than dredge :P

I’m talking about present and future of fractals, thoughts and hopes.
5) More HP, more power = more fun, more challenge.
Seems to be the moto of the game. But more HP and more power definitely is not fun. It works for some time but it gets boring.
Instead, reduce a bit the HP of a lot of bosses/champs and give new mechanics to them the higher you get.
For instance, you added :
- the fan and the crystals to power it up on Asura map
- the harpies KD on Asura map
- the speed buff to adds on Fire Shaman, first encounter
These are good ideas : now to find other similar ideas !
6) What can I do with these ?
Pristine Fractal Relics. Yes I have some, I would please like to have something to do with them. It links to my reward part.
Maybe trade them for ascended mats ?
Same with shards, they don’t drop that much but it would be nice to have an extra utility to them

So, this thread is to see what’s not working in fractals and what you think/hope will be changed.
I hope :
1) Rewards. Just rewards. Seriously, you can run some dungeons within 20 min and get some gold while spending 1h30-2h in fractal 40+ and not even getting 1/5 of the reward.
Adding money to daily chest just like in the dungeons could be nice.
Something like, 1 for 1-10, 2g for 10-18 …, 5g for 40-48
2) Improving rewards #2.
Fractal weapons skins : RNG is really annoying. Sure you can get almost decent chance to get weapons at 48 but RNG is crap and you get a useless one, plus you can do nothing with them.
So either let us chose the weapon or allow to trade ours, or salvage them for cool things.
Fractal rings : Cool,but since we get a lot, ability to salvage them for nice things could be nice.
Ascended weapons (armor too?) : It’s cool you can theoritically get those in there. But the problem is actually, the chance is very low (RNG) and you suffer another RNG that gives you bad stats.
Either increase a bit the chance + let us choose the stats
or drop the ascended weapon as a whole and offer guaranteed ascended mats like deldrimor steel and the wood.
3) Length/Difficulty.
I think this will be addressed since I had seen a very interesting thread saying they were looking to reduce length of long fractals (dredge/colossus) or to make it so that you can’t have more than 1 long map on a run.
I definitely think doing both would be the best.
Reduce a bit the length of these maps and rate some maps as long/difficult (colossus, dredge for length, maybe the new ones coming for difficult ? Fire shaman for difficult for some people ?) and make it so that you can’t get 2 of these.
Also, some maps are really unbalanced : colossus and dredge are both very long and arguably difficult (to stay awake especially ). Add to that the insane lack of reward of colossus : at the beginning, boss gives nothing. At the end, he gives nothing. Wtf ? Seriously, this boss is very long and he gives nothing ? Why killing him in the first time ? Even Alpha 2d encounter in CoE gives loot when you chase him (without killing).
Dredge is more OK with lots of mats bags during boring event of the “car”.
Swamp is both very short and pretty easy if party is experienced (assuming Mossman gets fixed and stops hitting us from stealthed, which is really unfair, and that BloomHunger also gets fixed and no longer drops agony where there are absolutely no red circle)
Fire Shaman is OK because it’s “hard” but with a good party, it can be pretty fast.
Svanir is OK too since length and difficulty are both medium, even though elemental boss is boring because of “ha ha infinite bump motherkittener !”
etc …
4) Fix the bugs.
Because, seriously, too many of them. I already mentionned those of Mossman and Bloomhunger.
- The lazy NPCS in Ascalon : how often do they refuse to get into combat ? How often can’t they come back with you even if the whole party wiped and rezed at the same time ?
You should be able to get them back while all being ooc for a little time, even if the party doesn’t wipe …
- Asura map : because yeah, harpies are OP. They have an insane range with their arrows while you get so often the annoying invulnerable if you try to hit back …
So they can hit you but you can’t hit them ? Is is fair ? No, don’t think so. If we can’t hit them when they can’t hit us, I don’t want them being able to hit us when we can’t hit them. That’s called fairness
- Colossus : if you kill all chanters at a side at arms seals, if you fail and wipe, all chanters are still here, instead of the event resetting and getting back to only 2 of them on each side. Which means, if you fail once in higher levels, your chances are pretty low to succeed.
Also the hammer kinda disappearing when you fall wielding it.
True for these bugs Ethics …
Of course, what was fixed needed to be fixed, it’s just a shame it did not come with a complete revamp/fix of fractals altogether, at the same time.

Defense 25 – Armored Attack. Increased conversion rate from 5% to 10%.

Defense XII – Spiked Armor. Reduced the recharge from 15s to 10s.

Discipline II – Thrill of the Kill. Increased Adrenaline gain from 1 to 10.
Good one. Definitely agree on the WvW aspect not really raising a problem since there are already a tonload to get much adrenalin in WvW so it’s ok.

Discipline XI – Burst Mastery. Reduced damage increase from 10% to 7%. Removed erroneous adrenaline gain fact.
Ok with this one, not that much change.
9)
Earthshaker. Reduced damage by 20%.
Hugh. 20% is quite a lot. I would agree on 10-13% but this is quite a lot …
PLEASE, leave PVE out of this and keep the nerf only PvP/WvW.
As sombody said, hammer warriors are already pretty useless in PvE, this makes things much worse …
Yes, you’re going to rework defiant mechanics, sure, it will improve. BUT this change will hurt NOW so there’s a lot of time in between being “useless” …
Actually, in PvE hammer should need damage buff while waiting for defiant change but I know it’s too much to ask.
But seriously, this is the only thing to split so it should be splitted …

Well, definitely easy to see it coming with the ability to cast it on the move. It’s a lot but yeah this move really is just here for CC so definitely OK.

Wilderness 5 Natural Vigor. Reduced the increased endurance regeneration from 50% to 25%.
Sooo much needed. This trait was so insanely OP for only 5 points. I had imagined it going to 15/25 or to some major but this one is OK.
It’s even more OP since rangers have a lot of access to evades/blocks outisde this :
GS4, S2, S3, GS1, SB3, D4, Lightning Reflexes
Wow, just wow. So very well deserved.

Wilderness XII – Bark Skin Increased the damage reduction from 30% to 50%.

Nature Magic IX – Two Handed Training. Added the following functionality to this trait. Greatsword and Spear attacks have a chance to grant Fury on hit. 50% chance. 3s Fury. 10s cooldown.
Hummm this one is quite interesting but not that great. The main problem of GS is that #1 chain is weak. #2 was buffed, it’s the best (in power) skill, pretty nice. So this fury, with that ICD and short duration seems to be made to “get fury, press 2”. Yeah, sure it’s great but it could be better.
I’d rather see something like a 33% on crit but with 5-6 second duration to achieve >50% dury.
Or remove evade from the 3rd auto attack to increase the damage dealt, that could be great yeah.
5) About sword :
Very disappointing. It seems like it was designed to mindlessly spam 1 and press #2 and #3 at random, praying to get it when needed.
It definitely does not promote thoughtful gameplay. I guess we can shelve this weapon.

Well, not bad though this line is still pretty meh.
5) What’s forgotten
- Viability of power builds : Axe is not bad, focus and warhorn can be useful yeah but MH Dagger ? Well, actually those are pretty good but you can’t really do much … maybe it should be improved more through traits, which I think would be the best thing.
The change to 25% speed with daggers out of combat makes it more interesting yeah.
The one for Warhorn CDs too.
But I still think power builds won’t be much viable :/

Domination XII – Confounding Suggestions. Changed to increase daze duration by 25%.
This and the stun chance on daze makes it good. Moving toward an interrupt spec, something like GW1 mesmer’s role
2)
Dueling VI – Protected Mantras. Moved to Master Tier. Increase Toughness from 400 to 600.
Still meh for me but why not
3)
Dueling VII – Mantra Mastery. Moved to Adept Tier.
This one is more interesting indeed, makes it possible to have DE and this with only 20 points
4)
Chaos 25 – Chaotic Transference. Increased conversion from 5% to 10%.
Well, ok not a bad one
5)
Chaos I – Chaotic Revival. Reduced cooldown from 35s to 10s.
I still think it to be meh. Would be better if Chaos Storm triggered on downed than rallying. Would need higher CD, like 20-30 sec
6)
Chaos VII – Mirror of Anguish. Reduced cooldown from 90s to 60s.

7)
Inspiration IV – Mender’s Purity. Now removes 2 conditions.
Given the poor condition removal on mesmer, that one is very good. Makes it pretty good trait

Inspiration XI – Shattered Conditions. Increased radius from 240 to 600.
Nice support options !
9)
Illusions VI – Illusionary Invigoration. Recharge reduced from 90s to 60s. Moved to Master Tier.

Scepter is still missing something but we don’t want to overload the autoattack as we think that promotes more mindless play and are trying to move away from builds that focus so much on the “1” skill. I feel like that scepter should be the tricksy defender that can stop enemies from attacking and defend allies, but maybe it’s single target nature is keeping that from working.
Yes … but still #1 is really, really garbage … I know it can’t be buffed too much but just improved the speed of the chain would make it better, seriously

Mimic
Last thought. This skill is for almost all intents and purposes just not working, but is causing some broken behavior with certain bosses. I would like to replace it with a complete redesign and am open to discussion on that as well.
Agree a whole redesign would be better.
14) The forgotten ones :
- Phantasmal Mage still one of the worst weapon skill in the game
- Arcane Thievery : for only 3 transferred, CD is way too high, especially given it easily fails with block or dodge. Either reduce CD to like 30 sec or make it unblockable/undodgeable. (only avoiding and invuln would prevent it then)
- Phantasmal Disenchanter : still pretty bad phantasm … make it attack much faster ?

That one is probably going to be one of the best changes of the update, pretty good one to improved radiance since it’s pretty bad (without 1H weapon)

Radiance X – Powerful blades. Increased damage from 5% to 10%.
Very good to improve power
5)
Symbol of Swiftness: This skill now applies 4 seconds of swiftness per pulse, rather than 8 seconds if you have no swiftness and 1 second if you have swiftness.
Yay
So to sum up, nothing extraordinary but yeah guardian already is in a good position so it comes as no surprise. Nice little buffs anyway.
Maybe a buff to torch would have been nice (I’m looking at you #5)

Fire II – Burning Fire – This trait has a new effect. Use Cleansing Fire automatically when you have a number of conditions on you. 3 conditions. 40 second cooldown. Moved to Master tier.
Very good change,nothing to add, now it’s a good trait

Fire III – Ember’s Might. The effect of this trait has been changed to Burns you apply last longer. 25%.

Air XI – Tempest Defense. Decreased the cooldown from 60s to 25s.
Now that’s huge and a very good change, providing a strong defense for eles, whether being GC or bunker. This trait will probably become one of the must have, as well as …
5)
Earth XI – Diamond Skin. This trait has been redesigned. Conditions cannot be applied to you when your health is above the threshold. 90%.
Wow, that’s just great, so awesome ! Given the low healthpool of an elementalist, it should not be OP, just very good.
However, I definitely agree with somebody who posted there should be a visual clue/buff so that we can see this immunity. So much better than how it is currently.
6) Changes to water line :
Well OK, nothing much to say it’s pretty hard to see the impact except the trait reducing cantrip CDs moving to adept, it’s pretty good
7) Changes to Arcana :
Very good changes once again, especially giving up the idea of vigor in crit staying in adept. Still the other one, Arcane Retribution I think, moving to master is going to be pretty lackluster there.
However ….
8) Focus still pretty weak with fire, scepter auto attacks still bad (except in air) and Staff in air still so bad …
To sum up, very good changes, definitely going into the right direction. It’s a shame for #8 but maybe for later.
Hello, so here are my 2 cents about the update :
Generally speaking, these are good ideas.
1)- Firearms XI – Modified Ammunition. This trait now works regardless of equipped weapon.
I don’t think it will make it used much often since power builds are not that used for engineers. What would it boost ? Grenades ? They don’t deal high damage per impact (it’s more multiple small damages). Bombs ? Only #1 deal power damage.
FT/EG : not much used to DPS.
Sooo nothing else remaining. The idea is good but it won’t change much.
2) On recognising the firearm is lackluster. Would be better to improve traits, move them a bit or merge. For instance, merge range and recharge on rifle (IV and VI).
The other problem is that for a rifle spec, there are so many good things there but you can’t have everything so some of the traits should be moved to other places.
3)Tools VI – Speedy Kits. Increased Swiftness duration to 10s. This effect can now only trigger once every 10 seconds.
Now that’s a very good change. Not only does it make it better for perma swiftness but it is also a small nerf to OP perma vigor. Because yeah, even playing an engineer, one must admit that it was OP. I find the perma vigor on crit (through Swiftness on crit and vigor if swiftness) OK but not that one. Very nice then. Plus it makes it even better with boon duration.
For the rest, totally agree and good changes.
Only one thing : please give us grenade autoattack in PVE !

This has been nicely answered already. We intentionally went with making groups collaborative and open, and we were aware of the potential for abuse. That’s why we implemented the reporting system for it. It was a decision where we decided to trust in our community and make things more powerful and flexible, instead of locking everything up and making it slower/more cumbersome. Honestly, from my experiences using LFG, it seems like this was the right call.
Also, griefing in LFG is not a lot of reward for a lot of risk. It’s just not worth the suspension/ban to cause a minor inconvenience to someone.
While I can imagine the good reasoning behind that, put yourself into the position of the player.
You now use the tool to pug dungeons/sell dungeons whatever …
You spend some time (short or long or even very long for some fractal runs) and at the end, you get kicked. Add to that the fact that almost ALL rewards are only at the end so basically, this means : “screw you, you wasted your time ha ha try again !”.
So we can use the report button for sure yeah. However, I imagine there’s no definitive ban from it, so people will carry on later.
Or, even if there is, I assume this needs a lot of reports to take effect. If we take into account people who can’t/forget to screen their parties and get kicked without knowing the kickers, there’s no report, so kickers prevail.
Other point, a player won’t see the results of this “LFG ban” policy. He/she will get kicked many times by many, many different players, one after the other.
Now THIS is very frustrating.
I think this point really needs to be adressed. We should really be able to accept/decline incoming players so that you can chose according to criteria (too many of this profession already, bad stuff, those guys seem rude …).
The worst thing is people able to merge (2 people) to instant kick the owner of the dungeon so nobody even has the slightest chance to react, which definitely sucks.
So the LFG tool has to change or at least, modify the kicking rules or the ownership system…
