Yes it was a Halloween released gemstore outfit. They have put past halloween outfits on sale in the past, whilst Halloween hasn’t been active. So there is hope.
I’m guessing it is an old coding thing that stops the armour weight barriers being broken down.
So long as you don’t say “CoR getting stuck on terrain” is a bug. It is intentional being a terrain based ranged attack with no other counters aside from dodging. It can also go through WvW gates.
Why does anyone start a thread that actually gets some attention at one time but then the ball is dropped and the questions and the issues are never solved?
Oh, wait, is this Anet or is this the government?
Either way, the game’s management is severely bent and on its way to being completely broken in all game modes, in and out of instances, with missing dialog and bugged events.
Come back Anet… Really, the game needs help. Soon.
My point is, there are some things in game that people claim are bugs. However it is actually an intentional mechanic, but people don’t realise.
I guess you want one for Pve? Don’t bother taking Death Magic (it was only really useful for pre nerf Jagged Horrors), you’ll get more use out of Spite if you’re running power.
I did everything for Winter’s Presence last year, with the exception of the drinks. The runes and sigils dropped from gifts and could be bought for a dime a dozen.
This year, making Winter’s Presence is more expensive by an obscene amount. Not my problem, but quite ridiculous.
Makes the skin more prestigious. Not that I like it or anything.
Because, before Anet released Winters Presence, people were begging for a sink for all the worthless wintersday items we had from the previous year (runes/sigils, ugly clothes)
The main problem is, while being a hybrid weapon, mainhand axe favours condi more. Whereas offhand axe is pure power. And Honed axes just confuses the matter.
But for general Pve, run what you like. Some people can across as pushy though, even if they meant to be helpful.
You guys want too much from Anet. WvW is not important gamemode in GW2. If is not true, wvw woudlnt be dead as is it now.
I’d wager more people play WvW than PvP on a regular basis.
What suggestions do you offer to fix underwater combat?
Underwater combat is a lot like the desert borderlands. People either love or hate it.
With 4 servers it was so easy to just faceroll anything we were up against.
Which tier did you get to before the merger changed?
I think the endboss of the underwater fractal needs to be revamped. It is a very boring and uninspired fight at the moment. The electricity fields get ignored by almost every group.
I would like to second this, though I recently found out why it’s totally legit to ignore the electricity fields- they are horribly inconsistent. After we moved to a new apartment, my wife and I can sit next to each other while playing and guess what? A cage that is under electricity for one, is not for the other. We could swim like a tandem to a specific cage and it was lit for one of us and not for the other. So given that is most likely to happen to each and everyone, I totally understand now why people just ignore them and kill the boss straight away.
Oh, and also a [x] to all those anoying timegates that are left (I would also consider the attack phase at bloomhunger here, since it adds 0 to difficulty, just artificially increases the time spent in there).
The time gate was fine when you had a set time limit to survive the hordes. I’m not a fan of the kill x number of foes to get to next phase.
They lied to you. They’re transferring to CD because CD has such a high population, it’s only a matter of time before it’s T1.
I think Anet should give them an extra 3 servers again.
It’s funny hearing the different opinions on greatsword. Playing Wvw where a guy claimed it was OP because of how much damage it did.
Yes, i use potions occassionally, not the large versions in t3 though. Yikes.. 8000 tokens for the infinite. Then I cant buy regular mist potions along the way.. even gift of ascension is only 500 tokens
If you have any characters with Simple Infusions leftover you can convert them into Fractal Relics as well. A +7 Simple Infusion is 150 Relics, which is more valuable than the amount of gold you need to spend to replace it with a +7 Agony Infusion.
A very good idea indeed. I thought I’d have to grind for a long while before I got my infinite potions until I remembered how many alts had the old +7s. After trading them in, I even had relics to spare.
Well axe is probably the weapon that recieved the most buffs of all weapons. That fact alone should be a good indication how terrible the weapon was at the beginning.
Engi Flamethrower would like a word ^^
Also unlike many auto attack projectiles, it cannot extend beyond its max range. In WvW attacking those inner SMC cannons with most bows/ele fireball is possible, despite being out of max range, yet our necrotic grasp still cannot hit.
Honestly, I’d just be happy if they made Vampiric Aura a baseline Blood Magic trait (swap with Last Rites).
Some poeple value the non bleed out for allies.
It would have same effect expect im also trying to sneak a buff into the combo.
Get rid of the healing power bonus and add something useful! I just feel that 5 target trait aura effects are almost always superior to their counterpart traits and so would be far more useful as a baseline trait.

I dont know about posion, staff already has poison on chillbrains.
I would rather see a faster casttime/projectilespeed.
Its funny. They already buffed projectile speed twice for 10% then 50%, yet its still slower than pretty much every projectile in the game.
I prefer the long cast time. 6s resistance is pretty powerful so needs some counter play. And if you press by accident, you can actually cancel cast.
Last night i was reminded of another Hell in fractals:
Artherblade path cannon stage. I have signet of endursnce, yet i dont have enough dodges to deal with the exploding corpses, exploding allies and exploding cannonrain.Have you tried using the fractal potions, notably the mobility potion? That extra endurance refill rate would be extremely helpful in getting more dodges.
It hurts my soul when I see people doing T4s without potions, especially when they end up downing so often.
Just tested and op is right. The trait one cannot be cancelled via movement.
I’m no expert on Revenants, so this is a question for you pro players. Would removing energy costs from rev weapons be a good idea? Would it be balanced, would it need balancing and what are your thoughts on it if they did implement it?
You mean like when you hit someone with infuse light on, you see the healing? Yeah its been like that since day 1.
Aggro is determined by multiple factors.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Aggro
Where does this Arua come from? I would totally do it on my Charr Ele
Rare drop from Wintersday Gifts.
further the game is nice. graphics and sound but sometimes i want more for my work and not only the looks. its that i have a very nice guild with friendly and helpfull ppl. so i stay. sometimes guildmissions with discord. the new zone is nice i farmed 1 day with 6 chars for berrys (also with bad elementalist, what a fail weak class. yes i have good dps but its useless when killed by 5+ mobs and cant heal that much. and water is too weak)
A class is only as weak as the person playing it my friend. Eles can heal more than just about anyone
Ikr. I find Ele one of the easiest berry farming characters I have, sceptre/warhorn fresh air and everything dies with ease.
I run Full vipers, thorn runes, earth/agony sigil. That way I can cap my bleed off nicely (and slightly overcap for poison) with the cheap badges of honour bought food for my T4 fractal dailies.
Procession of blades was the only one worth taking in Pve to be honest. The only change I made to my build was dropping the trait in favour either Soaring Devastation or Dulled Senses.
This change have made traps worthless in PVE as we lost one of our best abilities to effect break bars.

You know this was a kind nerf. They could have gone full Bloodstone Fen and made the amount of berries you could farm from nodes per account instead of per character.

I can’t speak for Pvp, but Necro is still a highly valued class.
In WvW necros are meta, their staff and wells being highly sought after for zerg fights, Well of corruption being the #1 skill for aoe boon stripping the enemy melee train.
In Pve (high end fractals and raids – the only 2 areas that matter what you bring) they are still used. For t4 fractals you still get “condi necro only” parties very often in lfg. For raids they are still used in VG, possibly Sab (I don’t run it anymore), Sloth (a must here), bandit trio, Matthias, escort and possibly Xera.
minions when used in minion master builds are strong enough.
On another note 15 minion masters with 5-6 each (more if they have Rise!) in wvw=75-90 (over 100) minions that have high imunity to aoe dmg, transfer conditions and steal life.
now imagine if they all go full zerker and somehow power scales up all those minions raw dmg that ticks 1-4k per minion attack…yeah..
Minions do not get AoE resistance in PVP. WvW = PVP minions get cleaved down in seconds in WvW
Yup, minion masters are laughably bad in WvW
It should be a grandmaster trait not a minor master. That would justify it having one of the highest healing per second in the game.
Lol you’re an idiot. That being said, it shouldn’t be nerfed. It’s possible the base healing could go down a bit and then much scale better with healing power to make the gs carrion build competetive by swapping to sage amulet for that build instead.
That seems to be anets way of balancing out of proportion healing/sustain skills. They did it with many others most notably Druid celestial avatar skills.
Similar to how they introduced the precursor crafting, they could add crafting for old rare skins such as the Molten Jetpack. Yes I know precursor crafting is often more costly than just buying it outright, but it was introduced so there was a solid way of getting one without relying on someone else’s luck. And it makes even more sense for items, such as the jetpack, as they are in an extremely limited supply.
Oh aye. Of all the changes to Necromancer, making Consume Conditions a corruption was by far one of the worst. It’s supposed to remove our condi’s not give us more. *rage
It would be a fair comparison if Necro had access to both Death and Reaper’s Shroud at the same time.
More like: when life force is at 100% you gain access to Reaper’s Shroud on f2.
And no, this shouldn’t really happen, it’s just a direct comparison to warrior’s elite spec mechanics.
That being said…
Core necro is fine.
No, it’s not.
RS is stronger than DS in almost every way.
I know, core builds are still being played today, but non of them because anyone prefers DS over RS.
Ok I worded it badly. But point being, Berserker can use both their F1 abilities whereas Reaper can only use RS.
Jora’s Defender for life!
Not base necro though lol. Shows what they think about necro, they dont care.
Guardian and necro are unique in that their elite HOT specs replace rather than build on the core specs. So there is no reason for necro shroud to be so bad vs repear shroud except for the fact they dont care. Same with guardian.
Warriors burst was replaced with primal burst.
Also, I don’t see what you’re talking about. Core necro is fine.
It would be a fair comparison if Necro had access to both Death and Reaper’s Shroud at the same time.
I suggest making it like this:
Stable Soul
When you gain Stability, gain an extra stack. Gain Life Force when Stability is applied to you.
Stability. Lasts 2 secs.
Life Force: 1%
1 second internal cooldown.Thats a bad idea since deathmagic doesnt really offer any stability.
It would probably better to use protection instead (a boon you actually get from deathmagic).
Yeah I was trying to swat 2 flies with one bat which probably, in retrospect, doesn’t convert too well into a death magic trait.
The idea of making it give stability, upon doing something, is a good start though.
“Due to the name of the skill, Retreat will now only work if you are running away from an enemy.”
Honestly, I’d be happy if they just made this a duplicate of Fireball (staff ele fire #1).
And it would free up those shared inventory slots for players that have multiple teleport items
Yep, that’s my problem with multiple port items currently hogging half of my shared slots.
And unfortunately I think this is also why we are not likely to get such an item in the game. If people could fit all of their permanent teleport items into a single slot, it would create less incentive to buy additional shared inventory slots, since you wouldn’t need as many anymore.
I don’t understand this argument. There are already plenty of incentives to purchase shared inventory slots; consolidating the handful of portal scrolls isn’t going to reduce the demand by much, if at all.
Its been my experience with game companies in the past to make decisions with thinking like this.
They already did a condensing forge recipe for the Infinite Fractal Tonics (which saved me a nice 2 shared slots). That’s kinda were I got the idea for the tome.
I run Agony/Earth with Geomancy on my Warhorn.
Geomancy does more damage against targeting dummies, or fights where you can stay in melee range so long as you swap weapons/flash reaper shroud on cooldown, but I don’t really think that’s realistic in a lot of the t4’s or raid fights, so I just run Earth and swap to WH if I find myself in melee range for the geo proc.
That’s why I don’t run geomancy. Just because on paper it is better, doesn’t mean it is in a realistic fighting environment.
Capture Stonemist is super annoying.
Also Capture and place orb is super annoying.
Where are our orbs by the way. They said 3 months but it has been almost 4 years.
They added borderlands bloodlust as a replacement.
I don’t think Anet will be putting much effort into changing WvW, given how we reacted to the desert borderlands. Anet’s safest path is to do next to nothing to the gamemode, giving us minor tweaks and a selection of possible additions like portable cannons/hammers.
Gear doesn’t even matter anymore in blob vs blob.
So you’re telling me an unorganised pug blob with blue gear will be able to withstand an organised blob in full ascended w/max stat infusions?
