Question is now.. how do we get more of those tokens now? Is there also a way to earn more ingame, or do we have to wait now like 99x more, that Anet puts into the gemstore such a memorial item??
The moment I have seen, that theres kinda alot of rewards to trade in for those tokens, kind of made me think about it, if we might see maybe in the future some kind of “nolstagia festival” or so, where we will be able to earn more of those tokens…
Because lets face it, if you aren’t rich like ****, most people will basically have to collect like 200 to like 300 of those tokens to have basicaly enough to get everythign from that reward list that peopel are interested into, what are most likely the skins and the minipets, in cwertain cases eventually also the tonic, cause alot of peopel missed the selfless tonic and its counterpart, but these two just cost lousy 10 tokens each compared to 25/50 for the skins/minis…
If earnign the stuff with this thing will be quicker, than by grinding hundreds of gold, then working on those tokens makes sense and will be no waste of time..
However..if those tokens turn out to being basically too slow too gain, that it makes more sense to just continue grinding gold to buy you the stuff you need… then is this whole thing just a fail and anet should just implement achievement rewards/collections with that people just become able to earn those things in that list, if ANet has no intention anymore to recycle this old stuff for the gemstore, then they should just make this stuff ingame normally earnable through achievements as rewards for doign somethign special or as part of a collection.Peopel prefer earning their things, than to stupidly grind gold for ages, just to buy these things from other players from the TP
Sure earning something is better, but most people don’t care how they obtain it, so long as they obtain it.
So now that this skin has been made available again, it would be great if Anet could add it as a glider skin, complete with fiery thruster effects.

This is seemingly one of the few signets anet hasn’t given the lesser cooldown treatment. So many have been reduced because of their ridiculous original cooldowns but this remains the same.

Burnbuild/frontliner in wvw, it was the best dpsweapon we had in zergs. Trailblazer stats and you are good to go.
Mightstacking builds, with a proper build you could get very high uptime on >20 stacks of might and in soldiers with fury from your medis and extra boon duration it
hit for about 2k per wave.The issue i think anet has recognized is that it would be crazy with perma quickness in condibuilds in particular. We are talking about >10 stacks burning on 5 opponents. Dealing 11k damage per second on 5 targets.
They should have narrowed the cone and increased direct damage instead.
Can’t it still do those things? I mean if you’re in the melee train, 300 range isn’t going to make too much difference.

Ok I know effort I have done map completion in GW2 4 times and Just because I am not full time PvE player doesn’t mean won’t put the effort in. I have 8 legendaries I know the struggles but my problem is the masteries. I love how people assumed you just wanted a shiniest of shinies but I don’t like the effort.
You asked for a reduction on the masteries and materials which are a part of the effort required. That kinda proves as much.
Ah the old “I want the shiniest of shinies but I don’t like how much effort it takes”. They’re called Legendaries for a reason.
I wasn’t too hyped by the Soulbeast but given the knowledge I’ve gained about it, its become my 3rd most hyped elite (behind scourge and deadeye).
Like real war, numbers are one part of a larger equation:
Numbers
Builds/food
Organisation
Scouts and Havoc groups
Siege
Guild buffs
All of these and more add up.

I mean it might just be that I want to fill in the missing weapon gap that is condi melee weapon (anet seems to be doing that with PoF) and the fact that I’d rather not be stuck with Sceptre as the main weapon of the Scourge.
Dagger seems like its been overshadowed way too much by our other weapons and needs a need lease of life, rather than giving it lastluster buffs as Anet has done recently.
Cool is a matter of opinion but I do agree with the land-shark and hydra point. They would have made awesome pets.
Just because you’ve gotten used to something being overtuned, doesn’t make it any less overtuned.

The Rending Shroud idea that was suggested a while back (Debuff that lowers enemies toughness). And then a few plus damage percentage traits (+10% vs chilled foes, +10% whilst wielding greatsword etc). Enough to make us a viable dps option but not too much to make us overpowered.
No. We need dagger as-is for any non-Reaper power builds.
It still could be used as such. The direct damage wouldn’t be changed.
What would your thoughts be if they were to make dagger into our condi melee weapon by granting Torment on auto attack, giving a total of 4 torment per chain.
I’m super hyped for Scourge and Deadeye, but that’s about it. Not that I don’t like the others (except for Weaver – another piano playing class, no thanks), just they don’t quite get my motor running.

The trait only applies on Torment application. The number of Torment stacks does not matter. None of these types of traits work that way.
It should definitely be split for PvE and PvP though.
Keep the ICD for PvP but remove it in PvE.

The daily ones exist. The only auto consume ones are for WvW rank.

Well it is condi wars right now lol, i do agree that necros has never lacked damage and id rather see survivability and mobility boosts
However in a sense of pvp i think that its a good thing since scourge will more than likely be just as insta targeted as necros has been with reaper (or since forever)
Since it lacks any sort of shroud to use as a shield to your health i think its a fair trade off kind of how PL necros would use it as a last ditch effort

Seems like Spectral armour will remain a staple of pvp scourge builds then. Use upon entry into combat then pop Desert Shroud and Sand Cascade asap.
Return us to what we were. Dont even bother changing a thing. 7secs sos, vp as it was, dont touch anything after that, i dnt care if we’re still middling dps or worse. Leave Reaper alone and move onto fiddling with scourge.
The changes were because of scourge. Scourge has no life force degen and its own shroud (f5) isn’t linked to the old sos cooldown. They didn’t fiddle with Reaper anyway. Both changes were to core necro traits.

I was in a raid and i was dealing like 15-20k dmg because group kept adding vulnerabilities and i got buffed and i got even more vulnerabilities thanks to the axe.
15-20k Damage is really low for a dps build, even for power necro. Power necro can get close to about 24-25k (maybe a bit more), which still isn’t good for a dps build. That is under some support specs.
a soppurt spec wont gonna hit 25k+ dmg with a single ability stop overexagarating….
if it does he is not a Support…..also on a somewhat tanky Power build Necro with a single ability can do 25k dmg…
hell im sitting in 3000 armor and my axe skill 2 alone did 30k dmg in 1 go lol reaper abilities do 16k to 20k
as a FULL DPS build those dmg would be like 30% higerstill not worth it you know why ? because we have no worthwile group utility….
also all those 20k-30k dmg comes froum CHANNELED ABILITIES while some of the other classes can do that dmg or close to that dmg with INSTANT ones…… looks at Mesmer and thief and ele and almost everyone……….
It’s not about hitting with a single ability, it’s dps, damage per second. CondiPS can push over 25k dps, easy.
A 30k channel ability does not mean that you did 30k damage per second, and maintain that level for the duration of a fight.
It’s the old “my warrior did 40k damage from hundred blades so he must be able to do 40k dps” way of thinking lol.
I mean, Reaper Shroud is a build that received ZERO attention, despite all its flaws and middling damage, until it was heavily nerfed two days ago. I struggled to find even a single recent thread about it.
I don’t understand why ANet should stress about keeping a build that isn’t very good intact.
THIS. Camping shroud does less DPS than dagger auto iirc. People are deluding themselves that you should be staying in shroud for as long as possible aside from the fact that it is aesthetically pleasing. Practicality wise its a stupid crutch.

Since the changes were made to promote, in ArenaNet’s own words, “Build diversity”, I think they should put some time and attention into Reaper Shroud — you know: the big, shiny, new attraction for Heart of Thorns — to make the Shroud-focused build competitive with other power builds.
In the name of Build diversity, of course.
Then it would be more than just aesthetically pleasing; it would be yet another diverse build that Necromancers could use in all aspects of the game. No more delusions, no more low damage, more diversity!

Check out the WvW necro zerg build. It uses cele stats and axe whilst running condi corrupts.
Then its as much a power build as it is condi, it just happens to corrupt.
It is a hybrid yes. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t use condi and axe which is what you were looking for, yes?

wait until PoF reaches… it might get worse… i imagine a zerg of warriors flying and dropping on top of another zerg to remove the boons even that will create massive lag, and all those fancy effects..
Since boons and conditions are part of the reason for this lag, surely that will help it. Amd effects are culled if you run effect LoD.
The main problem people are facing currently is Deathly Chill. In its overtuned state, it means Scourge likely won’t be able to match Reaper in terms of pure dps. While we know scourge will also be support spec, having an obviously superior condi spec will really damage its usability.
My big problem with mounts is that they cannot straffe! It is really bad thing for movement…

A couple Spear skins on a staff and scythe skins on a greatsword would be more than acceptable. I understand anet won’t add the actual weapons into the game given they’d have to fill in so many missing skins as well as create all the new skills.

I think the point is, Anet should have released the legendary armour alongside the T2/3 sets. It was a cruel joke not to.
On a personal note, I’m not bitter and don’t think I deserve a refund since I’ll be playing WvW long after I get the pieces.
I had a slightly less kick in the teeth, in which I bought the exotic t2 sets, only for them to release legendary armour and make it so you needed the ascended, not exotic, for the precursor.
I mean someone will probably find a use for it, but I’m still confused as to why they kept it as a form and not something with general usability.

Lots of people already dropped staff long before the auto nerf. Mace/shield, hammer seemed to be the current trend for many FA guardians.
Most of the time you will only have up 1 – 2 shades up, due to the cooldowns.
You’ve misread how ammo works. There’s no cooldown until you reach the ammo cap for Sand Shade (which is 3). So you can cast all 3, then it has a 15s cooldown and each Shade lasts for 25s. And the sand scourge torment effect comes from you too, so that’s 4 torments max (people will be capping torment duration) for 4s.

So now instead of getting feared from corrupted stab every 7s you’ll get feared every 10s. I’d say that was a buff.
Why do ppl keep saying this. Look that’s assuming you’re fighting a condi necro, and assuming you don’t have any other cover conditions for them to go through 1st. And, most importantly, is only applicable to solo roaming under those situations. For zerging you should be running either wells back line or front line boon corrupt, and you’ll have access to a lot more boons (or should have) that the other team has to corrupt through to get to your stab. Running solo roam builds in a zerg is counter productive as a necro.
It was a very niche joke. I replied to a guy on another post, in which they were complaining about lack of mobility on necro. I said they just gave us effectively perma swiftness and anti snare on sos and they replied “but it will get stripped instantly”. So I applied the same logic to this thread.
I was actually Unaware that the buff doesnt stack with quickness, Okay in that case How about:
Gain 350 Ferocity While weilding a GS or in RS, additionally Crits with GS and RS steal Health.
I would just love to be able to able to do endgame content without either being a condi chill spinner or a coplete detriment to the team with power. Why is power reaper DPS so much lower than Condi and why is it completely okay with the Devs for it to stay that way?
Indeed, its the biggest problem with those kinds of traits and I’m not even sure anet realises.
(PvE) Scepter/Dagger -/Torch with Terrifying Descent, Master of Corruption and Lingering Curse confirmed?
With Fell beacon, Sadistic Searing and Demonic Lore. And probably Soul Reaping and Dhuumfire (once we see how it interacts with Scourge).
You could always go Terror + Fear of Death given scourge has a 15s cd on garish pillar for fear.
