You are correct, just tested it while immobilized and it kept me in one place.

I used it on a husk that was targeting someone else, and it walked towards me and attacked me. It did not last long though, and it costed half of my energy, so I wasn’t able to use it again for a fair while.

Another thing I noticed while playing, effects of CCs and taunt don’t apply to anything that has a break bar, they are purely reduced to the function of reducing the bar.

Phase Smash (hammer 3) self roots, Echoing Eruption (Mace 3) is a leap, Unyielding Anguish (Mallyx) is a leap.

In my experience with it, attacking the Wyvern from behind makes you far less likely to get turned into toast.

I think this is a great suggestion that would make it feel a little less clunky.

It wasn’t a “beta” test. it was a stress test. The test was for server stability with the new technology, not for players to “play test” the game . I feel the distinction is very important here.

From the invitation email: " You’re welcome to discuss your Heart of Thorns experience with friends and on social media. We also encourage you to provide your feedback on the Heart of Thorns subforum."

Feedback on balance is welcome, because it is what they need in case there are things that need changing. But don’t let it be your final opinion on the matter, as things are subject to change.

It’s confirmed that they are currently experimenting with raised condition caps.

After playing for 2 hours of the first window, my overall experience was good, I may edit this later after playing in the next stress test window.

Pros
-I did not experience any instability, server or FPS wise, in the first session.
-On second session, had continued stability, though did crash once while I was downed for a reason i’m not sure of.
-Comboing revenant skills together felt pretty good, mace 2 + mace 3 in quick succession is some decent damage with some decent might stacking.
-The cinematics were well done in my opinion.
-The new voice acting for the player character sounds fantastic.
-Gliding felt fun after I got used to the system.

Cons
-The starting of gliding feels a bit clunky, it takes a bit too long to launch.
-Some of the tool tips were a bit uninformative, the tool tip for mace 2 needs to say it creates a fire field.
-The mastery point on top of the stone pillar felt awful, trying to get to it felt like a battle against a rock covered in soap.

As a closing statement, I felt that the stress test ran fairly smoothly.

Playing in the stress test, I did not personally see torment go above 25. I saw it get to 25, but not higher than that.

More false speculation. There are plenty of people under 21k AP that got invited, and plenty of people that do have over 21k AP that did not get invited.

You’re creating a character purely for playing the stress test, you are not using an existing character.

It’s done that way to create the illusion of the price being cheaper than it really is. It’s a marketing strategy that is commonly used.

Yes, that’s the way it was in the PAX demos as well.

It seems that they have recently added the beta to the regular client, but the content of it only being accessible via having a beta character, which you will be able to create one if you received an invitation. You can see some evidence that the beta seems to be in the regular client, or at least some of it is, by the fact the revenant symbol is now in the character creation screen.

This particular beta event is a stress test, so it is mainly there to push the servers to a certain limit to see if it can handle a certain load of activity. As advice to people that may not have participated in a stress test before, you can expect lag and disconnects, because the test is there to see how much the system can handle.

There will be more beta events, confirmed by Gaile.

It applies to this event only, you will get another invitation if you are invited to another event.

The fine print says that it is for the stated event only.

Yeah, I can confirm that the real invitation definitely uses Tuesday.

Edit: The date and time uses pacific in my invitation, the GMT version could have some errors in it.

It only affects PvP reward. PvE champion bags are not affected by any kind of magic find.

Heartseeker has always been blue.

It’s pretty much how the GW1 client worked. Nothing to do with Twitch.

Doing it solo actually gives you an easier version of it, because you don’t have to light as many fires, and the boss has less HP.

As far macro reporting,if i had to go through exploits mail i would never be done because every roaming thief and ele i encounter uses a macro lately.

Anyone can do dodge-jumping without macros with practice. I would even go as far as to say most of those people you see dodge-jumping are not using macros.

Edit: Also, the exploits mail is for reporting the existence of an exploit, not for reporting people.

Correct, once it is unlocked in the wardrobe, any character can use that skin.

Only characters part of that faction can buy that factions skins. You will need to make a new character and pick Vigil instead to be able to purchase them.
