Yup, I’d just recommend having them start getting zerker trinkets, and then zerker weapons. If they decide to do a new set of armor for dungeons, you could recommend Valkyrie, Knight, or Cavalier if they’re worried about survivability. Also, if gold is an issue, start taking them through CoF and CoE for those tokens, since those both have zerker stat armor/weapons.

The problem is two fold. The content in this game is so low in terms of difficulty the player base made up this ridiculous standard second unless you are running a static group the time difference is a pug is almost negligible.
You say this, but we have developer posts clearly stating that the average player skill level is so low that they can’t see a reason to implement the simplest of things, like combo field priority, because the majority of players wouldn’t understand it. There is a small amount of players who find Pve easy. The rest find it incredibly challenging. The elite player base set standards for what they find fun. Whether you agree that that is okay is neither here nor there, because it is what it is. Pugs watch videos of the pros doing speed runs and they want to emulate that efficiency. That’s where the stigma comes from. It’s how people want to play. Efficiently. Smoothly.
As I stated the only difference in Zerker and Non is in a static setting – which is not what we are talking about.
Look at it another way – Forcing players to use zerker is counter productive and more times then not removes any type of smooth experience. Some players preform better with a more survivable gear set-up – some with a more offensive.
If a player is downed – you require another player to rez them. So now out of 5 players you loose 2 for a period of time. Repeat that a few times and any DPS gain zerker might have had is now lost due to DPS up time.
If I am in a pug I would find more benefit in DPS up time then the zerker “meta”.
All I am trying to explain is that unless you are going for a dungeon clear record – there is almost no reason nor requirement to desire an all zerker group.
No one here is forcing anyone to run berserker. People choose to because they want to get done quickly.
And I’m sorry, while I don’t strive for absolute efficiency I prefer a fast run to a slow run. Because it means more rewards because more paths. Now if you have all the time in the world to play it doesn’t matter. If you’re a working traveling woman like myself, it does matter.

So she found shield, utterly useless while leveling. She was killing mobs so quickly, who needs more protection?

And then Mr. Ollivander brought her a torch. This torch was light weight, pretty, and gave the little Squaark fire breath, the cutest animation. And so she took it. From then on, she always had grilled Moa wings for breakfast.

Plenty of people play the game the way its meant to be played. You just have to learn to create your own parties. Since day 1 there is LFG tool in this game I’ve never joined a party. Even though there are no benefits of being a party leader, I always started the thing myself and all my parties get filled with people for less than 2 minutes. I don’t care if they are zerkers or not, if they are lvl 80 or dungeon level, i don’t care if they want to swap on last boss or not. And I’m sure there are thousands of people just like me. You just have to learn to deal with it, that there are people who want to finish arah in ~30-40 minutes, and the 2 CoF paths in ~15 minutes or less combined and move on with their lives
And you are wrong for blaming them to play the way they want and that they want your playstyle in their party. To each their own. That’s the hard truth you have to face and agree with.
The best solution is to make “friends” or get real life friends to play the game so you could play together the way you want, with whoever you want and with whatever build your heart desires. I myself once did AC with 3 lvl 35 characters. Was fun, took 2 hours. Haven’t done it again

You’re criticizing Neko for not doing enough to help new players. Do you realize how ridiculous that is? He wrote a guide to help new players.
A lot of us “stacking-skipping-zerker-elitist-scum” have also done a lot to help new players. I wrote a guide to help them. I posted speed-run videos on gwscr.com that, if any new players ever bothered to watch, would help them learn efficient tactics. I’m a meta mentor in the official dungeon forum teaching guild. Many, many other players with similar mindsets have done the same things: writing guides, posting vids, answering questions, teaching new players, etc.
What I’ve noticed is this: There are a hell of a lot more of us helping new players than there are “anti-stacking, anti-skipping, anti-zerking, anti-elitists” helping anybody.

I’m genuinely confused as to why this guy has more subscribers on YouTube than DeKeyz, Brazil and Nike combined. Not that it matters in the slightest, but he sounds boring as all hell and his builds (from what I’ve gathered) are sub par for PvE. Maybe someone who knows more about MMOs than me could enlighten me.

Yeah I just watched the video. While I do feel sorry for him because I would hate that to happen to me. I cant help but feel like justice has been served. Also he started claiming he was more important than other people at the end of the video. That certainly reduced my sympathy for his situation.

I do understand there are a good deal of other player out there who bought 90% of them last time. I won’t buy the pack even though I want if I own one of the mini’s already. Heck I would even gift my extra kitten away but that isn’t an option either.
I’m just saying mathematically you’re actually breaking even. There’s no reason to refund 1 of the minis because you are already technically getting one for free.

Lucky you you only have 1 of those minis. It’s actually worth it to buy it because the minis were 400 gems apiece so you’re getting the 2nd white kitten for free technically. (400*5 = 2000).
Those of us who are only missing 1 or 2… well even for a gem buyer like myself (really they might as well just give me an insane subscription) I can’t justify 1600 gems for the one mini I need. Very sad

Actually I see no problem in removing the repair costs.
That was only a punishment for fresh players, trying out dungeons for the first time. Maybe you don’t remember, but I do, when on release I was there, trying to do AC story mode with couple of my friends at lvl 30 and dying over and over and over. It was fun, nobody knew the dungeon, but after two hours of laughs we went completly broke and lost all our silvers on repairs, so we were there, naked. So we left the dungeon, unable to finish it and went farming DEs naked to get any money for repairs
Next time I’ve stepped into a dungeon was 80 level. It wasn’t a challange really, but doing dungeons (apart from crap rewards) was expensive and we were rather to spend that money on crafting or such.
Long-time players already have that money, so they can afford any repairs and situation for them hasn’t even changed, when it’s more accessible for new players.
The game, unless you’re about to do some crazy-elite content, should not punish you for your group failures. It’s fun after all.
You know what was one of the big parts of World of Warcraft success on release compared to other MMOs on the market?
It wasn’t punishing you for dying, it didn’t cost you your level or experience. It costed very little (even for lowbies) to repair your leveling armor, wasn’t punishing you for exploring that much. Sure, it was a disgrace for some anime fans from Final Fantasies or such, but it was a huge step foward.
So it shouldn’t punish you for failures but it should punish you for wanting to explore. Gotcha.

The prices of all skins went up due to the patch, legendaries included. Since equipping a single weapon unlocks the looks for all your characters, demand is spiking, but there’s no corresponding increase in supply.
But that will change, if not soon then not too much longer after that.
Gone are the days when people are likely to work to craft two incinerators (no need to do all that work when you can double wield and work on another legendary). So the demand by the current crop of players will start to drop, while the demand from newer players won’t be much different. I doubt that the prices will drop back all the way, but if I could short the market, I’d do so.
Except the spark shares an identical skin with a cheap exotic dagger that is 7ish gold.
Frankly I don’t buy this explanation because the shield is the only pre with a unique skin.

Instabilities seem more like an extra nuisance than extra challenge. They just need to make some piece of content where the punishment for failure is actually failure.
Yes, that’s what I’d love to see as well. Right now most of the challenge in GW2 can be negated by just bashing your face into it until you get lucky and get it done. Especially now with no armor repair costs. If wiping meant getting kicked out, things would be a lot harder (ofcourse rewards will have to be compensated).

A full broken armor repair cost was … 10-15s? Even if you brake your whole armor on every single dungeon path, you still earn profit. Now your income is even more.
