no have never happend to me i get silenced in game sometimes tho
read through that thread not even one get back to wow comment and no answer of a dev in there what are you smoking man, can I have some?
Oh thats not all you can do with that rare you can destroy it, vendor trash, bank, sell on the trading post, give it away or use it.
If you were planning to play with friends who don’t own the game then its best to let your friends use their email address to activate the accounts
Yes but the question the person is asking do they get a code that can be activated by any email or do it get activated on the email they buy it with.
you bought a second account you dident upgrade your current one mate
How much gems are we talking about here I got 4800 and can buy another 10.000 gems with the raw gold I got on account.
Not counting all the materials and items i got in my 3 personal guild banks.
To be honest I dont feel Im wealthy at all so were do this 10-15% of the playerbase could afford it come from?
Rather have the new prof to be honest.
just think of all the added focus a new race would take the 1-80 personal story completely new for said race, i can see why they dont want to do that
Yea you do know that they stack up to 250 of the same kind right?
Honestly people complaining that they get to much loot….
if you got items instead of a chest you would have to stop every 12 mins to salvage or find a merchant to sell
@Linken
@Xiahou Mao
Thank you!
Another question! The starting item I began with “Multi-tool backpack”, should I be holding onto that, or sell it or…?
If I remember right the first back item you can get is lvl 35 Ghostly spineguard from ascalon catacombs cost 2-3 silver on the trading post
You also have this at lvl 60 if you equip 6 runes of it on armor
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_the_Golemancer
Yea like the item to start the jormag collection =)
yea and I heard that pax south is 23-25 of january so how the hell would anyone have that info yet?
actualy been out two times mate first for world 1 second for world 2 we’r waiting on world 3 now
well you can always farm the trees and sell on tp for profit and less fox fires to buy
If you’re getting 150+ Empyral Fragments per day, you’re doing something silly. Chest hunting doesn’t reward well except in Empyral.
As for mawdrey, you can craft multiples of them. Each has their own separate limits.
I haven’t been keeping count of how many of a particular type of material I am getting each day, I can only attest that it is too much.
As for Mawdrey II, that’s nice to know…but at the 100-150 gold costs to create Mawdrey II…no thanks!
what is it that cost so much the fox fires or are you buying the already crafted thing from tp?
and 150+ empyral fragments aint to hard if you run dungeons and cap stuff in WvW
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mawdrey_II
Notes
Each account is limited to 3-6 gifts per day, regardless of the number of Mawdrey II items used to consume the dust.
So the wiki is wrong then? havent crafted my first yet so i dont know
just put up a lfg and it will get filled eventualy i cant think your the only one who have that path left.
Reason why its not run much is becouse its a long one that reward the same as cof p1
Edit
I could join you if you happen to be eu side and on at the same times
(edited by Linken.6345)
well I saw the xmas tree right of trixx and got those presents but first time I got one from trixx today thanks to this thread
just be honest in your lfg description like 2 newbies want to learn
and you will get your partys filled no problem….
worst thing you can do is join a party and stay silent that you dont know anything
yea thats why so many supported season 1 so it wasent changed at all in season 2
oh wait it was changed so all could complete it
Can I replicate this kittens look in the Charr creation menu?
sadly i dont think so but you can get a mini that is a close likeness
No there is not
or just sell it to 1 person and have 4 people you know then you cant lose it
Oddly, incentives should also force them to run full Zerker speed clear paths to earn gold, but they manage to ignore those incentives just fine.
Sorry, this point is flawed.
People are not complaining about old rewards that have been in specific content for a long time. They’re not even complaining about new rewards being added to specific content. They’re complaining about an existing reward that was moved away from content they like.
The proper comparison re: dungeons would be the reaction if ANet were to say, “We’ve removed tokens from dungeons. You can now get tokens by doing X, Y and Z content.”
Nothing is going to foster a sense of entitlement more than prior ownership.
Your wrong there mate if they removed tokens and added them like they did with daily rewards it would be login and get 207 tokens from each dungeon for doing nothing
Edit
Fixed token nr and maybe each dungen was abit to much lets say you get 69 for 1 path a day making it total of 25 paths before it starts over from acp1 again

I honestly don’t understand these replies. No, you can’t play where you want and still get the same Daily AP. I’m not sure why that is difficult to understand.
Every zone has AP available to be earned.
I specified “Daily AP” for a reason. I want my Daily AP in addition to the AP I would get in a zone.
Then mix and match pve with the WvWpve dailys like today kill 5 npc guards and kill 1 dollyak it cost you nothing to go into wvw and spend 5-10 mins there of your limited play time
I honestly don’t understand these replies. No, you can’t play where you want and still get the same Daily AP. I’m not sure why that is difficult to understand.
But wasent Mr bob a casual player? why would he care about the ap wasent he doing daily for the reward?
and its true you can no longer get 12 ap but that took alot more effort then the 10 ap now and if all your after is them you get pently of easy ones you just have to mix pve and wvw pveing
That’s actually quite easy to answer. Let’s say player Bob only has 45 minutes or so to play each day. Before the patch he could go anywhere in the world, have nodes to gather, mobs/players to put conditions on, mobs’/players’ attacks to dodge, events to complete etc. So Bob could do whatever he liked, Bob could have an enjoyable 45 minute gaming session.
So, what exactly is preventing Bob from doing all of that now ? I mean you’ve established that it is enjoyable for Bob to do all of those things so what is to prevent him from doing them ?
As was stated, if Bob wants to do Map completions in a particular zone, he can’t because he has to go gather nodes in Brisbane and something else in some other specific zone (instead of Maguuma Jungle or some broad area of the map where you can pick a zone you want.) And then he has to stop map completion altogether to do a dungeon or fractal or go to WvW.
Previously many people could accomplish dailies while playing your character the way you wanted. Now they can’t.
yes but the reward you got for daily you now get for login and do nothing so mr bob can still do what ever he wants, if he want the 5 ap he got from daily before he sadly cant get that.
Instead he have to put in some effort and get dubble ap of 10 + extra reward for each daily task he complete
Since we’ve got a couple people bringing up CoH, I thought I’d just take a few whacks at this dead horse myself.
First, I’d argue that if you want an example of a game that was “trinity without trinity,” you’d be better off pointing at CoV (I know they eventually rolled the two games into a single sub fee, but the two were still quite distinct).
Second, while CoH had quite interesting team dynamics, it still didn’t escape the original problem Anet wanted to avoid: being forced to wait around for a paticular class/build/set-up._ By “endgame” in CoH/V, entire parties would refuse to start raids without a Granite Tank. A granite tank and someone with that radiation debuffing set (sometimes people would settle for that Dark Control set as a substitute, sometimes). Doing speed clear runs in those “Parallel Universe” missions? Better have at least one Earth/Radiation controller with you or gtfo. And let’s not forget how Lightbringers and Darkstalkers were universally despised because whatever tanking/dps/healing they may have brought was completely outweighed by the fact that they caused unique enemies to spawn in your missions (in particular those wretched Cysts).
So while it certainly had it’s quirks, that game was as gridlocked as any that came before it.The fact of the matter is that the game’s current orientation of favoring “full dps builds” actually doesn’t have anything to do with the Anet development team, or enemy AI, or Guild Wars 2 at all. It is a near inevitability within the Action RPG genre itself.
Just look at other games in the genre, like Monster Hunter or Dark Souls for example. Regardless of wether or not they’re weighted more to the Action elements or more to the RPG elements, the so long as there exists the potential for players to negate all incoming damage either (in this case dodges, reflects, distortions, absorptions, etc…) without sacrificing damage, those will always be the dominant metas. And again, we’re not just talking about GW2 here, but a whole genre. The “high end” meta-game is the same no matter where you choose to look.
Not really true best team compositon for CoH was 8 defenders even tho they are the lowest damage class in the game they had the highest dps with all the buffs they shared and all the debuffs they inflicted on enemys.
I make new temporary characters all the time.
But I’m probably not going to make a new permanent character until they add a new race or profession I want to play. I have 5 already – one of each race and all different professions. The one’s I’m not currently playing are ones I’ve tried and never really got into.
The trait system doesn’t bother me, it’s not great but I can see what they tried to do – before that was added lots of people kept saying they wanted something like the skill acquision in GW1 where you had to complete quests or find specific NPCs to unlock new skills. I guess it’s not actually what GW2 players wanted after all.
Ascended armor also doesn’t bother me because I’ve never been that worried about having the absolute best stats, especially since the whole game is balanced around exotics. I made an ascended coat for my main because I liked the skin but other than that I’ve just got rings and the odd accessory so far.
You nailed it right on the head without seeing it mate.
People wouldent be against the trait hunting if it was for NEW traits but what they did was butcher the old ones and lock most of them down ( making new players have less choice) instead of adding new ones for everyone to unlock.
Still have only unlocked the karka one on all my 7 80s but thats becouse im lazy
Yes you should thats the best answer I can give
I understand it can be a frustrating for new players but look at that from veteran player perspective. We run dungs because its profiting not because its fun and usualy with low levels, newbies what dont know strategy, players without speedrun builds those runs take much longer and that can be also pretty frustrating and some ppl simple dont have that patience to teach strategies and carry lowbies everytime thats all. When you run that dungeon every day past 2 years you wanna do it fast and smooth.
Dont speak for everyone some of us old vets want the unpredictabitly there is with lowbies in group that dont know tactics to spice our runs up.
And why would you do something that aint fun? if all your after is profit maybe time to start flipping the tp?
phew i only got 3 guild banks so im safe
I think he/she want the moste nude leather armor tobias
. . . then I’m going to go with “none at all”.
Yea would be cool if we could get pvp amulet and run around like a boss
I think it would be good to value both the journey and the rewards and not focus exclusively on the end result. The sub-80 you party with today, the sub-50 you teach the ropes, may become your new guildie or a valued fractal/dungeon partner in the future.
I take on board not everyone wants to go this route, but I think in the long run it can be quite rewarding in ways that are more valuable than gold and tokens.
Hey Gaile you had take a dev to WvW how about take a dev to fractals or dungeons?
I think he/she want the moste nude leather armor tobias
responding the meaningful stuff again, eh.
Oh heavens no aint she human? We all want to talk about kittens kitten
Edit
Thats a nice garfield cat btw were is his Lasagne?
man this title make me think of portal
exactly, I cant understand why anyone would oppose making anything more convenient for them
And I cant understand why anyone would want less to do in the game, Like only having to craft 1 set of items and move it around to other characters
there is currently a bug were you dont get damage when failing notes only when playing wrong notes and if you have that bug you dont get credit for right notes either…. I had that earlier today seems to have fixed it self by me hitting wrong note untill I got kicked out and then could get credit for right notes the next song.
I would say 1 wp max each map get the rest the normal way
Well if you dont want to create the plant that vacuum bloodstone dust from your char then i suggest start deleting them
Edit
and about the rings be glad you can sell them at all they could be like WvW and karma gear that wouldent have been able to be reforged
there is no uplevel in normal pve thats only WvW and spvp.
I done ac and have had a lvl 31 warrior in my group before npe and he was better then the lvl80 zerker…. why you might ask he stayed on his feet and kept killing things.
Remember a 7.5k ap thief complaining that we wiped on kholer he left when he died the second try and the rest of us completed that boss on 4.
Talked to him about it and his defence was well the rest of the group wasent zerkers so he couldent stay alive when boss started to attack back
whats restart motes?
We first saw them in Glint’s lair. If you messed up an attempt at an achievement, you could go to a nearby mote and restart that part of the achievement . . . as opposed to redoing the entire instance, cut scenes and all, in order to try at the achievement again.
Oh i havent done a ls sine s02p01 so no wonder I dident know what they were
They would be functionally the same as greatswords, so no.
Why would you say that then shouldent hammers be gone to and lets only have 1h swords 1h axes and maces are functionally the same by your standards bud
Im confident that Anet would be able to make a third 2h weapon style unique as the previous hammer and greatsword
Answer me why a luck eating baby quaggan who gives your presents would be a bad thing?
I’m not saying that a present pooping quaggan would be bad. I’m just arguing the issue over the MF track. It can be tailored past 300 MF with such a degree of scaling that could still fit the reward levels of the game.
That’s besides the underlying point though. The fact of the matter is EoL are given as a reward or salvage item that can’t be used for some, simply because they played too much. That’s what’s not fair here.
Played to much I dont think anyone have maxed out mf without buying extra ectos and green blues on the tp…. they havent played to much they have raced and focused on a long term goal to finish it as fast as possible.
Then cry and whine when they cant use the materials anymore.
As stated before same have been said of bloodstone dust(fixed) karma (fixed) imperial fragments(fixed) and probabely soon will about dragonite ore.
3 out of 5 have been fixed the other two are probabely coming later when a higher % of the playerbase have maxed out.
That said the karmic converter and mawdrey II is alot more work to get then the star of gratitude
Reread what Astral typed. It has nothing to do with how much it takes to go up. It has everything to do with ANet not wanting players to go beyond a certain point with regard to improved drops.
Sorry, you’re still wrong about the concept. Players can already stack luck well past 500 with boosts and other bonuses.
Stop inserting your own definition into the idea of scaling luck beyond “a certain limit”. There’s no reason that Anet can’t make it feasibly/reasonably impossible to attain levels of luck that are attainable right now through exponentially diminishing luck levels. None.
And so yes it DOES have everything to do with how much it takes to go up a level. By the very notion of the suggestion.
Yes but you dont have a infinite nr of boosters do you?
maybe its fine to have that much boost for awhile but not 100% of the time like your suggesting.
Answer me why a luck eating baby quaggan who gives your presents would be a bad thing?
The Good: New maps and updates on a regular basis. Restart motes. Free armor repairs. Making longbow a viable choice finally. The overall community. The wardrobe changes. Free trait changes or respeccing. Instant summon of minis. Minis linked to your account.
The Bad: Repeating Halloween without any changes from last year. Missing restart motes. The inability to skip cut scenes, and dialogue, after doing it once already. No chance to get minis from previous seasons. The inability to repeat or play Season One content if you’re a new player. Idiot Plot Syndrome. Grinding for random organs and badges in Silverwastes. Nerfing the trains in Queensdale and the Coil. Megaservers displacing communities.
The Ugly: The new leveling system. Period.
whats restart motes?
Im close to death, ill since yesterday, but i hope you all have a merry christmas!
To much xmas food and candy?
Hope you get well soon, even if you are a filthy zerkerProbably, oh wait I hardly ate anything..
Cheers buddy!
Well theres the problem go and get 4kg (roughly 8pound) candy and 2-3kg (4-6pound) of your favorite xmas food
Eat it and feel good =)
there already is one for bloodstone dust its just harder to craft
