Noone knows wait for more info to get released maybe mate
i couldent send a in game mail since the mailbox is full
“Expansion video”:
For warriors i would love..
1. a pistol
2. a poisoned spearor go creative and exotic a bit and give the warrior something unique.
3. a boomerang,
aimed at one person but also has an option to do a group opponents circle strike before coming back to the warriors hand.4. a poison dart pipe lot of native warriors used that has some range and poison stacking strong, think about curare paralysing the opponent etc.
5. a Sai that can be thrown like sword, can block melee and can strike short range.
no new weapon types for this expansion, this has been confirmed.
Then what is that 1 minute and 39 seconds into the video?
Expansion trailerIf you want to “confirm” stuff… show us the confirmation, instead of saying things that that looks like bull form the perspective of us uniformed… o.O
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/No-new-weapons-confirmed-it-seems/first#post4745861
guess according to that we could still get melee staffs and land spears since neither of those weapons are entierly new
well as i have seen daggers made for throwing i havent seen greatsword that were made for it really so that point is kinda mooth aspirine
Warrior GS skill 4?
Oh I was talking about said weapons dont use gs on my warrior so dont really know what those skills do
well they did say something about changing the trait system in the stream dident they or was it one of the interviews
Why use Gliders if we have Waypoints in HoT?

becouse we dont need mounts and they wouldent help us access areas we cant use our two legs to get to

Dagger, warrior with a ranged weapon is just plain stupid in my book.
well since you can throw daggers i guess we will have to get melee staff then

and it looks like you will use them to glide to areas you cant access any other way aswell
well not all people want to speed run dungeons so he/she would be helpfull there aswell
guess ur last sentence covered that but want to make it clearer
I’m not a fan of vertical progression either. This was an idle thought I had and I was curious what others would make of it.
If your not a fan why even put this stray thought into a new thread clearly you must subconsiously want it.
yea to small to be a staff you said then afew posts later you switch from it being a hammer to a spear….
I agree with the second to the first its not to small to be a staff
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a8HgPldKJk
yea and there is a reason people do /sarcasm on at begining or /sarcasm off at end of their posts.
That reason is becouse its really hard to convey when your being sarcastic through text.
No mods aint allowed so wouldent have given us that and no particle slider either im afraid

Why would they boost people they want new ones to experience the game….. popular thing 1 game have done it
and people will still use map chat since you get ahold of most people then
Then its not a problem its a miss on the OPs part
wait that shouldent affect chars made before april 2014 should it?
Previously created characters weren’t affected by the trait update, but all follow the rule of the NPE.
ah right always bunch those up together, wonder if i can bother level my engi
So you got 64 characters already? if not buy another slot bub
everybody else we got ranger and engineer so far how is that all?
Need more than 1 Specialization to make sense

I agree. With only one option, its less specialization and more morphing or evolving. Literal definitions aside, while I appreciate an increase in diversity, only one option seems rather narrow/inhibiting to what specialization could actually be. Two seems to be the correct number regarding cost efficiency/game advancement ratios. Only one feels like filler.
Just a tip read the 2 posts starting 2 posts above your own and think on what they say bud
dont delete stuff from festivals most of them are a reocuring thing so save them in bank or on a mule char

ArenaNet handled the whole thing in a very bad way.
The term Specialization suggests multiple paths to choose. While that may be true in the long run, it isn’t for HoT.
People heard “Specialization” and started to imagine, as this is a very creative community.
This whole confusion could have been prevented if they said it directly at the announcement: “We’ll introduce a new system called Specializations. For HoT it will start with just one path per profession to choose, but we’re planning to expand on that system in the future.”Exactly, that’s how they should have portrayed it.
The “you’ll be able to swap specializations anytime out of combat” makes it sound like there would actually be specializations to swap between. You can be the master class – Ranger, OR the specialization – Druid. Can’t be a druid without being a ranger. But there’s no other specialization to swap between. So for “swapping between specializations” you could go from Druid specialization to… Druid specialization! It’s a multiple choice question with the same answer on every choice…
It sounds like it will be great once there are actually options, but at the outset with one specialization to “swap between” it’s not impressive. A great groundwork, but hard to be excited over 1 choice.
Or as they inteded you can go from druid back to ranger 2 choices.
As other have stated druid wont be all ranger and a bonus druid, you will lose something for specializing in druid hence you can go back and regain what you lost and not be able to have druid things

And do we want this expansion to come out this year or the next year thats all im saying about this
yea if engineer or elementalist get weapon swap then i would think that would lock out kits and attunments permanatley in those specialisation.
Elementalist with 40 weapon skills is mindbogling
with the new player experience they put into the game you wont see how much you got left on map complete just yet i think you should get that ability at around level 20
Edit
Just keep doing hearts in new area untill you can see the map/world complete and go back if you missed something you will still get a chance for lvl aproprate gear from low level mobs
They already said new and old players would be on a equal footing character wise starting as a revenant so no they wont be any other level then 1
well considering there are only 3 water weapons i cant see that being hard to implement…
Maybe a druid get a trident instead of a speargun so they have to add 5 new abilitys to it or be lazy and let it have same as ranger
Time for a new computer maybe since it dont seem to hold up when your needed the most ( when alot of people is attacking and particle effect is flying) .
If this was anets problem it would be wide spread and you would see multiple people complain about it.
if its a 3s spell you wont see the number 3 it will already be 2.59s when ability shows up on monster.
Easy to see since the 2 aint turning into a 1 straight away
not a item one for each craft you want unlocked so atleast 6 and more to come later maybe
Fishing would be nice and tie into cooking, i hate it irl but sometimes i just want to chill (fishing would be a nice activity then) and talk to friends in game
Yea but make it a choise since some of us want to feel that our char have made something by themselfs not copy clone the knowledge to all future chars
Or you could buy licenses and craft up the other 6 on your main if its such a burden mate.
Got 2 on each char myself but aint a hassle to switch around imo
Edit
Maybe they could sell unlock licenses that open up your crafts you already made to make it easier for people that want it.
And also better for people who dont.
(edited by Linken.6345)
I would like spear to be a 2h condi weapon for warrior since they dont have one to my knowlage the only condi weapon they have is sword atm
Well we got a exception in wow death knights got new zone and that wasent a new race comboed into that
My question is Op why dont we see you doing any damage bettwen the first 2 hits you see that warrior do in the screenshot were you asleep maybe?
same as at release wvw spvp pve=world bosses, dungeons, fractals (3 mini dungeons 1 end boss fractal) if you havent done world completion its good to do since you get 1 of the items needed for legendarys. oh and you should get crafts to 500 if u want to do the 40 fractals for ascended armor/weapons that can be infused with agony resist gems
You can also find someone who got the living story s2 unlocked and join them to see it or unlock them yourself for 200 gems each a total of 1600
Well pamela you can always start a revenant when the expansion hits if you got the leveling bug bite you to hard
What’s the point? I’ll just use crafting.
This pretty much: and crafting was viable from level one at launch. So whether you use tomes or crafting, seeing level 80 revenants on launch day will be a reality.
Dident they nerf exp gain from crafting by a decent % tho?
No its not true as of this time anet havent stated much about it yet.
That’s only a piece of what I said. If you read the rest of my post, you would see that getting top tier gear isn’t the same. Sorry, I’m not letting you make me look like an idiot. In GW2, yes, you play a dungeon a few times to acquire a piece of equipment. That piece of equipment (speaking in exotics, not ascended) has all max stats the moment it is obtained, minus your choice of rune.
So not only it does not have maxed stats (it’s not ascended), but also it requires an upgrade (the runes) in order to become as powerful as it can be.
Just like the game you mentioned. It’s the same (grindy) thing.
Hey bud maybe you should test dear ester seem to be your kind of game mate
You know, Rytlock isn’t exactly a level 1 character when he enters the mists. Maybe you have to take a level 80 and turn it into a level 1 Revenant?
I would say no since how will new people be able to play one and the stream said they were going to be able to play the new class
yea becouse all there will be in the game when expasion hits is the new maps wvw and spvp the rest of the game go poof you wont be able to play it /sarcasm off
i guess you dont have same pets on land and underwater and thats why they dont save
In the last game I played, I’d have to play a dungeon a few times to buy one armor piece.
Have you ever acquired a dungeon armor piece in GW2? You need to play a dungeon a few times to buy one piece as well. Same thing.
Yea take away half of what he said and its exactly the same…..
read abit further just after the armor piece word and he says and then have to grind same mob for 20+ hours to upgrade said piece
Mike said 1 healing skill 1 elite and a x anmunt of utility skills
37:35-38:02 in this link http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2/c/5954011
its part of the npe it was to confuseing to new players i guess to have all those icons and numbers thrust on them so that will come later before level 20 i belive it was.
I buy Gw2 in the beta, i need to buy de HoT?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Thats right you dont have to buy the expansion but you wont be able to play anything that come with said expansion then mate
