You can’t improve on zero development time.
Four “biweekly” episodes of LS every six months.
Those are PvE players so even if you kill EotM, it won’t affect WvW.
Probably because eotm is PvE?
I have played both several times with no noticeable difference. My guess is there is some flawed thinking in there for the dungeons since the enemies are at the 45/75 too so they don’t have the power spike either. Different than when you are at lvl 45 fighting against lvl 46+ enemies in open world.
But some bosses are higher level in CoF… for example Siege Commander is level 76, Gaheron’s pet drake is level 77. (CM bosses all seem to be level 45, though.)
A lot of people fall for Anet’s illusion of content patches. That’s why they keep doing it.
No one is asking ANet to do anything except in the most extreme cases. Your argument falls flat and being some kind of Devil’s Advocate isn’t going to get you anywhere. ANet also has harassment and offensive name policies to which you could apply your question, yet they exist and apparently work fine at ANet’s discretion.
I imagine examining the chat logs would easily determine who is siege trolling in most cases. If you are constantly emptying keep, tower, and camp supply, to the point where you are camping yak arrivals to build more ballistas while an upgrade is running, it’s pretty kitten clear what your intent is.
What’s funny is that I don’t think I even asked a very difficult question. Yet after three replies I’ve yet to get a single semblance of a definition.
Don’t be stupid. This isn’t a mathematics class. Egregious siege trolls are obvious. By the way, “I know it when I see it” even works with the Supreme Court (see: obscenity).
And Anet doesn’t even a technical definition. They can do whatever they want to protect honest players’ play experience. But they just have no interest in doing so.
Basically removing the achievement requirement during a tournament is an experimental step we took to reduce the incentive for achievement grinding. We want people to play WvW, and not focus too heavily on satisfying achievement requirements.
If we find that players prefer having numerous things to check off a list, then we would certainly take that feedback into account and consider it for future tournaments.
Care to explain why you’re going in the opposite direction with PvE (specifically, collections)?
can you guyz tell me how you wanna stop an karma train with siege disablers?^^
seriously – this can´t do anything in eotm to stop pplnot the karma train is using all this siegebullkitten its used only by baddies fatfingering their buttons which need to hide in towers with siege (so called defenders)
or you rly think you will stop them with throwing this bullkitten on rams? than just lol^^
you will be very fast poorZerg will than build 1 ram and wait for your stupid disabler than build next ram and wait for you disabler than next … and so on. Saw how much rams are used per gate? Have fun with this
I’m sure for many people the pleasure of killing the train compensates for the gold spent.
you still did not say HOW you wanna do this ^^
you just talk nonsense and you has absolut no clue bout EOTM
Except that I did. Maybe the OP was too subtle for you?
you are the op and you posted only 1 line without any argument so no i would not call it subtle – more like stupid
But i understand you not up for discussion (what a forum is all about). So anyway, you are wasted time.
Wow. I guess you do need it spelled out for you.
Siege disabler on siege = karma train slowed down to a point where making karma other ways is more efficient.
Two two syllable words and one three syllable word. I hope you can handle that.

I doubt that Anet will do anything about this since they cannot track what they cannot see so this post is just for public awareness for people who will be matched against Baruch Bay in next weeks.
Just because you can’t see, doesn’t mean Anet can’t see. Not that it matters, they turn a blind eye anyway.
I started another thread here titled “Wouldn’t pay another 5 cents for this game” due to experiencing this problem.
Please tell me how anet is going to tell the difference between:
-a person building useless siege with malicious intent
-a person building useless siege because they don’t know betterI’m going to assume you have no idea what we’re talking about or you’re trolling.
It’s a serious and legitimate question. Can you describe “siege troll” without going to extreme cases or naming specific people?
Neither of us are defending it, but you have to be able to define it. If even you can’t answer the question how can ANet? The only thing they could do without a proper answer/definition would be to take action only on the most egregious trolls with multiple violations and reports. Someone in this thread would seem to confirm ANet is doing (or trying to do) at least that much.
I think we might have found a siege troll right here.
No. Imagine those who’ve already bought them demanding for the difference in their salvage costs back. Also: see Watchwork pick.
I believe they said Sab is not coming back…if Im not mistaken
Saying it is not coming back is inaccurate, they said they have no plans to bring it back any time soon. But if we keep asking then they are more likely to buckle to our demands!
They’re not stupid enough to literally say “never.”
“No plans to bring it back anytime soon” = never.
Perhaps; but the threshold is just too low. Couple of items and you get this annoying message.
It isn’t that low. I sold a bunch of different types of crafting materials yesterday. I didn’t get the error until after I sold maybe my 15th item or so.
You guys should be thankful it tells you that you’ve sold too much too fast now. Before the feature pack all it said was “Error attempting to sell” which wasn’t informative at all.
Aside from preventing you from spamming the TP which would degrade performance for all players, it makes it so others have a chance to buy/sell items.
Way too low. People complain about this bug all the time. Make it 1/4 or 1/5 the time and humans will likely almost never see the error, but it would still stop bots.
Also, now the error suggests it’s your error (you sold too fast), which means they’ll never address the issue.
- Too many level 80s who don’t know the mechanics of the game leads to
- creation of dreadful, dreary, and tedious leveling experience leads to
- EotM/craft/power leveling leads to
- leveling while watching TV leads to
- not paying any attention to instructional popups leads to
- too many level 80s who don’t know the mechanics of the game.
You forgot the /s tag
Maybe OP should apply to work at Anet?
Deathslaughter.2659 kicked me out of CM p3 while i was selling it… i was whipsering him.. .. and he starts flaming… he also said: ty for your dungeon and your rewards ect….
im not sure who his friend is that was helping him..so now what do i do? ofc i reported him.. but i dont think this will help much..
Today i got kicked 3 times out of cm.. and 1 time out of arah… its almost imposible to see who the bad guys are -_- so its almost imposible to get them reported
srry for my bad english
proxy + deposit = basic level of protection that Anet should be providing but isn’t.

O I hadn’t thought of that. Time to make the PVE kittns cry.
LOL. You’re welcome.
… or have the griefers learned to use siege disablers to kill it?
They’ve already said no more dungeons.
Interesting thread on reddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2gbn78/new_players_veterans_frustrated_with_leveling_in/
In short it says that you get stat boosts at specific levels:
4, 10, 16, 22, 28, 34, 40, 46, 52, 58, 64, 70, 76, 80,
but that you get those boosts at the expense of being underpowered at the levels right before. In particular, levels 45 and 75 are two such levels. These are the levels for CM and CoF explorables.
Anyone finding these dungeons harder than before the patch?
LOL. Looks like the poll backfired on the OP.
You should be happy. Imagine how confused you would be if you actually got to fight that hylek!
As far as I know, there are no known Lupi killing exploits. Did you not think to ask the rest of the party why Lupi died so fast? You might have learned something.
It’s not only dead, but I stopped pugging/helping people through lfg in general because I myself do not want to get kicked for any reason. After I was done with Lupi practice, I put LFG up as "free p2 at lupi, take the instance) and I was kicked within moments, losing the progress as well as chance for people to practice soloing/duoing/killing lupi. At that moment I realized Gw2 has turn into dog eat dog situation and try to avoid anything that would ruin my day.
Same players. Just more incentive to grief so those who wouldn’t have grief in the past do now.
- Previously: You are instance owner. Kicking you only appeals to those who take pleasure in griefing.
- Now: Kicking you gives the kickers your instance for free.
The result: more kicking, of course. Nice work Anet!
Using a proxy would at least leave you with 50% of the profit, which still is profit.
But asking first two buyers to pay the full price for all 4 slots wont work. People will not trust, since there is no way they can be sure that there actually is a path to be sold.
Proxy will also increase the time you need to fill the group dramatically. But again – Dungeon Sellers guild can come in handy. If the seller is representing the guild, buyers knows that this guy is not trying to scam them, but indeed sell them the path.
First two buyers doesn’t work — griefers can be the next two buyers. You have to ask every buyer for a deposit.
As for buyers being cheated: there hasn’t been much (if any) history of dungeon sellers cheating buyers.
In the end, setting up a shared list of honest buyers is a really good idea. Meanwhile, proxy and deposit puts you as safe from griefing as possible.
Looking at their history from April feature pack to now, November to May/June should bring:
- 4 episodes of LS (including maybe one half-sized zone).
- Recycled Wintersday.
- WvW tournament – length of which determined by how much time they have to fill because they have no content to release.
Then expect another feature pack in May/June similar to the one just released.
Oh, don’t forget the standard, “We’re working on precursor crafting, stay tuned; don’t quit just yet!”
There isn’t increased population. Just they’ve dumped everyone into fewer instances: megaservers.
Yes. They shouldn’t have complained so much. They should have either kicked all three rifle warriors or left themselves.
So I got the chance to solo p2 a few times on my mesmer. Warden fires his whirl very reliably now. Lupi phase 2 and 3 was indeed trivial. I haven’t seen it fail once yet. However, the reflect stops before warden finishes whirling, so that was a little disorienting.
Didn’t the patch notes say that they fixed the issue where the warden continues to reflect after its animation stops?
So they fixed it too much? Not suprising.
Filling slots one by one doesn’t work:
- Two griefers pay your proxy.
- You invite and they enter your party.
- They kick you and other buyers that happen to be there.
- They sell the 3 slots remaining.
- Griefers’ costs: the price of 2 dungeon runs.
- Griefers’ income: the price of 3 dungeon runs.
- Griefers’ profit: the price of 1 dungeon run.
- Your profit when griefed: the price of 2 dungeon runs. (You have to refund the non-griefer buyers.)
- Your profit with no griefing: the price of 4 dungeon runs.
It’s important to note that…
Before patch: griefers get zero profit, and indeed, lose the price of 2 dungeon runs (instance is destroyed when they grief).
Solution: Ask for a deposit from each buyer equal to the price of the dungeon.
- If you’re griefed by two players, then after refunding any other buyers, you still have made — from the griefers — the price of 4 dungeon runs. (You do lose your dungeon rewards.)
- Griefers can’t sell the dungeon (for the same price) for a profit since they paid for a total of 4 dungeon runs and can only sell 3 slots.
No doubt. Just look at the LS forums. The Dragon’s Reach forum has been stuck at 36 pages for at least a whole month. Then again, 4 chapters of “bi-weekly” LS in 5 months will do that.
I’ve explained to you that the China release is different because a publisher outside of Anet has a big say in the game before they could even release it. In China they don’t care about what Anet wants, they have the ability to prevent the game from release. The publisher could care less about the story, and care more about profit clearly… Just look at how they charge you just to open an unidentified dye, or how they have a subscription/VIP system that you pay for monthly… Look at the pictures since you guys are having a hard time reading…
http://imgur.com/a/k9GA4#7
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img577/2972/0ucs.jpg
Does this sound or look like GW2 you know? No, because its the China version, they are very different. It would be like this if EA bought out Anet… It is very immersion breaking, but the Chinese publisher like EA don’t care about anything but money.:O
Why would anyone play such a horrible, P2W game? That VIP system is beyond evil. I really cannot understand how people over there agreed to play it.
Considering how much they’re porting over from the Chinese version, you might be playing such a game soon™.
Because of RNG, it’s something you have to do a LOT of before you see the expected profits. I believe there’s a reddit posts with someone opening 1000 chests and the result was something like 12g/hour in earnings.
Also, skin prices will likely skyrocket once keys are available only at either level 10 or 20 — depending on the rumors you believe.
In any case, it’s almost too late now. If you have fewer than 10 ticket scraps by Sept 9, you’ll have a really hard time getting to 10 after the patch so those ticket scraps will be roughly worthless (unless you buy keys with gems).
You mean the LS content “every two weeks?” We’ve had, what, 4 total in the past 5 months?
I bought the Bouquet of Roses a couple days ago from the gem shop since it looked like a fun item. Well the info for it in the gem shop said it had to be equipped in a toy slot and said something about town clothes. Well I figured it was just an outdated item description and bought it anyway. Turned out I couldn’t use it at all. The item showed it did 0 damage and went into a toy slot. I was mad for a few seconds until I read the rest of the tooltip. Turns out I had to take it to a black lion trader NPC and exchange it for a new bundle item. It didn’t say which trader though. I tried the weaponsmith and no go. I tried the armorsmith and that did it.
So my theory is the infinite use gathering tools from the gem shop that say they are equal to orchalcum tools were the first tools to be released and later Anet decided to use a different description on the new tools but didn’t update it on the old tools.
Pretty lazy if you ask me. Selling a town clothes toy item instead of updating it to a newer version confused, and upset me, until I found I had to trade it in to a certain NPC for an updated version. The same goes for the gathering tools as this thread points out. They need to stop being lazy and update text info on items and create new versions of the old toy items before trying to sell outdated stuff in the gem shop.
Wow. So they just cut-and-pasted the old item despite the fact it’s pretty much broken? (Not unexpected though, considering the HotW troll they copy-and-pasted from AC… together with AC tokens as drops!)
Some people already asked for that we never had any feedback from devs about it:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Idea-Dungeon-Boss-Arena
Oh of course. But I figured since Anet all but announced there will be no more new dungeons, they might want some easy-to-create content that can sucker dungeon runners into sticking around for just a bit longer.
Downed states have been a regular feature games for a long time by now. It’s not revolutionary.
The real solution was to either have a scripted tutorial sequence teaching you stuff like this, or if that’s too much dev effort, just pop up bubbles telling you what you can do the first few times you get downed.
Changing its appearance to level 5 won’t do anything.
First time I’ve seen it in an MMO.
People do play non-MMO games.
Anet’s moving more and more towards giving rewards as chests (things like champ boxes and event chests on the bottom right of your screen). Chests are not affected by magic find. Coincidence? Not sure.
and the keys is a correct idea too, its incentive for the new players to buy keys, they won’t remove them as a reward.
Removing them’s not the point. The point is that if the key cannot be gotten earlier than level 10 (or 20, which is the case in the Chinese version) then keyfarming could well die. Leveling to 10 takes a lot of time, particularly when you don’t have PS that give lots of XP.
In any case, new players are going to be bored out of their minds. going to level 10.

If key farming is destroyed (no PS until level 10 and no key until level 20 are what China has right now), then the only real way to get keys is from the gemstore.
- 25 keys sells for 2100 gems.
- If the ticket scrap rate is 1 every 5 keys, then it’s 4200 gems for each ticket.
- 100 gems sells for 11.37 gold… so
- 4200 gems is equivalent to 477.54 gold.
- So a very rough estimate is that each skin should be worth 477.54 gold.
- Currently, skins sell for ~100g.
This is a rough estimate because it ignores the other stuff you can get from the chests.
(I believe Astral Projection has a similar (or maybe the same?) computation, but I can’t find that post.)
Edit (typo): “4200 gems for each ticket” not key.

I’m really excited to see which servers end up with the most coverage and players.
It’s hard to tell right now, everyone’s looking at each other wondering right now. You can feel the anticipation as players hover their cursors over the gem purchase tab.Once the announcements are made by the big WvW guilds it’ll be a scramble to get to the servers they are moving to. I cant tell you how excited I am to see that!
Based on the previous tournament, let’s hope that the lower tiers can learn from server X that just because they are currently in bronze and put in the same amount of effort that allowed server X to dominate silver league! Man I was so excited seeing server X, the underdog of silver league, putting all that effort to push down veteran silver league WvW guilds.
I am so excited I cannot wait to see how this tournament plays out.
Oh btw I’m on Blackgate [smug smile]
I’m just as excited as you are!
No one likes bandwagon servers. And if there’s the opportunity to beat them as they fall down the ranks, people are gonna take it. Does it matter whether the bandwagoners all left? No.
Same reason no one likes Kaineng.
I noticed that some of the permanent tools on sale right now say they can be used for “Used to harvest all…” and some say “same effectiveness as an orichalcum…”
Does this mean if higher tier materials are released, the second type will no longer work on it? Because currently, they are all the same price, so having that type of difference would be a major issue when deciding which one to buy.
I would like to get on based off which skin I like the best, but if I’m spending 1000 gems, I’d like for it to be guaranteed to work with all materials.
Has there been any information regarding this difference in item details?
Thanks for the help!
Will they release new tiers of gathering? I don’t know, but if they do, and you got one of these tools and it doesn’t work on the new tiers, you’re going to be pretty angry.
Is the potential for massive anger worth it? I’d say no.
On another note: Don’t buy infinite tools unless they give a bonus (like the watchwork pick does) for the exact same reason — unless it’s the animation you love.
- Four “chapters” of living story every 6 months (each chapter being as big as Canach’s “dungeon” is to a real dungeon) including one half-sized (smaller, actually) map every 6 months.
- PvP: one balance path every 6(!) months. e-sport? Yeah, right.
- WvW: nothing.
- Dungeon, small group content: nothing.
- Guild content: nothing.
Not sure a formal “expansion” is necessary, but what we’re getting now is pretty sad.
Considering patches come around once every six months, it’s not good enough.
