If you’re going to bandwagon to a actual Esports game, ESPECIALLY a MOBA, you pick LoL or DotA. It might be different from the last time you played it but graphics are swell and it actually has a very healthy Esports scene.
@Hanth it’s because Denial Esports Spvp team is jumping ship. (Helseth,Drazeh, Rom etc) and their choice of game was Smite.

Nothing to debate here, DH is undoubtedly the most skill-devoid low risk & high reward profession in the current meta. Sorry, that’s just a fact proven by the droves of FotMers flocking to it.
Yes, it can be countered at higher levels of play, especially in team play, I fully believe this to be true…but that in no way makes up for the fact that DH absolutely dominates low and mid ranks, and makes the game highly unenjoyable when facing stacked DHs without DHs of your own. (Yes, that’s when I swap to DH too. Yeah me! It’s currently complete braindead garbage EZ mode. I have no clue how to play a DH and yet I can succeed more so than with my main that I’ve played since beta.)
And to whomever said DH is weak to Conditions either doesn’t know how to play a DH, or has a very different definition of a “weakness” then any non-DH profession has.
You took word out of my mouth/fingers. Nothing against DH at all, and I’m not saying ppl who main them are trash or anything of the sort, but it’s as braindead as they come in this meta. It has everything a pvp meta build needs in spades practically except maybe team heals. DH hands down brings way more to a team than War, why are ppl even arguing that? Kite out War’s EP and it should be GG saying skill is equal. I’m not complaining about DH at all, I play everything. Just my 2 cents for this discussion.
I agree as well, I don’t want DH to be unusable, but its the easiest to pick up and get good results from. No disrespect to the DH mains out there, but it is the go to easy to use class.
Considering GW2 is a mostly casual pvp game, consider the average match. I’m not saying DH is as OP as turret engi was, but even though turret engi was not used in professional tournaments, they absolutely plagued PVP. Didn’t have to know a rotation or time dodges or anything, any person could just ru nthe build and be unstoppable in a 1v1 or even 1v2s. Something that tanky and reliable while also being easy to play should not do that much damage haha
It is easy to pick up, it’s a soldier class. The difference with Turret engi was you were getting killed by AI with 0 input from the player, not to mention the problem with turret engi back then was turrets were not effected by Crits or Conditions, and engis used to run Sentinal stat amulet, which at the time there was no marauders amulet or 4 stat/ multi stat setups aside from celestial. You want to know why Turret engi was never used in Tourny? It was because all the power of turret engi was setting them up around the node, and it would leave your team 4v5 the rest of the game since that build was useless everywhere else except that node or wherever they set it up on. Bad teamfighter and rotator as well.
As far as damage goes, play DH without a single trap or even just ToF for that matter, and let me know how skillessly easy your time was fighting Scrappers, Warriors, Druids, Eles, Good Acro thieves was. If you want to nerf the skilless build which is imo the full trapper build, it’d be PoB,FoF, DM, damage shaves, also and also adding manual activation once the trap is set down like thief’s Shadow Trap, so the CD is halted until it’s tripped or until manually activated so you can prevent double stacking of traps(Having someone trip the first set of traps and using the ones off CD after.). The other solution to stop stacking would be ofc taking reduced damage from the same trap from a different source(DH) 50% decrease.
You would have a leg to stand on if you paid a premium for immediate access to this specific patch on this specific day. You did not pay such a premium as one does not exist, therefore you are not entitled to anything.
You bought a license to play Anet’s game. That entitles you to the ability to play the game. Servers are up, you play the game you paid for. GG.
I paid over 100 bucks for the game, HoT and gems, without the money I wouldn’t be able to experience the update. Especially HoT was quite expensive to buy and the final fight was still buggy till this day. So every HoT players deserve something because of the bad service?
I might of paid over 1000 in 4 years. Quit with this entitled nonsense. HoT was released a year ago you got what you paid for with HoT content, LS releases are released for free initially but when new content gets released the previous becomes it’s own DLC unlock(For gems). It would make sense to call it bad service if the release was pushed back and was caused internally by a massive bug or something went horribly wrong with the patch, along with if you paid a sub or premium to access the content early, but you don’t. Nor is it Anet’s fault for something happening far beyond their control such as weather. You can wait a additional day for the release and it’s not like the game itself is out of commission until patch release either.
A example of your demanding would be like if a land slide happened and blocked off a fast food drive through which needs a day to be cleared before it was accessible again. Though wanting free food as compensation because you can’t use the drive through with the new updated menu, and you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on food there and accusing them of bad service.
1.) More pre-qualifying matches to determine initial placement. 10 games is way to small of a sample size to determine initial placement. With most players experiencing an average seasonal win/loss ratio of 50%, players were locked into their initial starting rank and didn’t move much more than +/- 150 points by seasons end. A lot of people started at ranks that did not reflect skill and knowledge due to too small of sample size for placement. I would like to see a 2 week pre-season in which a minimum of 25 games are needed to qualify for the next season placement. Players could go above 25 minimum matches and every win above 25 minimum would improve their initial placement by a few points. This system would reward players that really strive and work at PvP. The end result of a pre-season would have better seasonal match-ups due to casuals facing off vs. casuals and more seasoned and vested PvPers facing off against each other.
2.) Make Top Stats meaningful. Add 1 point for each top stat awarded to final score. Example: a player is awarded Top Offensive Player for team. If their team won the match and received +13 points, then that players total score would be +14 for the match. If the match was a loss and was – 11 points then that players net result would be -10.
3.) Do away with gear/gold farmers. How? While I definitely enjoyed this seasons pvp loot, I didn’t need it. Most Pvpers would say the same; the PvE rewards are not why PvPer’s play. Repeatable rewards brought in gold/gear farmers, especially since a loss still netted points towards those rewards. I witnessed at least 5-10 matches where teammates ran around doing nothing. When they were called out they wrote in /team that they were only there to farm gear/gold and didn’t care if we won or lost. If there are to be rewards, only reward wins, and not losses.
1) Number of starting matches is fine where it is, it just needs to have a much much smaller impact so people getting 10/0 matches don’t get placed in legend. The highest I’d say would probably be T3 Gold. Starting point should be around Silver T1.
2)Top stat is fine for what it does, and it rewards you with a few additional pip points. I like the idea but it’s actually worrying considering that it might lead to things like double capping to try and maximize top stat rating gain/loss or rotating when you don’t need to.
3) I wouldn’t want them to touch the rewards, just because a small minority of players are super duper strict PVP players that don’t touch any of the other parts of the game with a 10 foot pole doesn’t mean everyone else has the same feeling. starting closer to bronze means these type of people will fall to bronze and stay there with that attitude/mindset of not caring. The other idea could be to keep what we have now, but as you move up in divisions and tiers your gains and losses for rewards increase. So around like bronze or silver division netting a loss nets about 1-2 pips instead of 4. Gold gives 4, plat gives 5, and legend gives 6 if you lose. Cause I doubt match gear farmers are going to like their gains for just losing matches, then maybe they’ll want to improve and rise up to be a better player.
@Cynz
i feel you on the stacking issue, game should not allow more than 2 of one class per team (i would love to say 1 of each, but i feel queue times would suffer heavily). still though, getting bursted buy multiple DH traps is a case of being focused by multiple players w AOE attacks. being bursted by 2 condi warriors w skullgrinder spam is punishing too.tbh, i think solving class stacking would solve a lot of the DH complaints. it’s much more preferable to nerfing DH around the presumption it will be stacked, because to do so a single DH would become pathetic.
now, i remember the days of warrior being an unplayable waste of a slot. i’d hate for that to happen to any class, especially because of forum complaints.
@Supreme
no video is needed. just use unblockables to kill the DH when they use SoC, they will be low & vulnerable, so something like headbutt > AD will ruin them.
if that’s too hard for you to grasp i suggest you look at yourself in the mirror & have fun w the hand of your choice.DH is easy to fight on any other class
Then the usual 180 degree turn
o video is needed. just use unblockables to kill the DH when they use SoC, they will be low & vulnerable, so something like headbutt >
Basically…-for Choovansky, the berseker alone represent every other class…how could I possibly kittening forget to equip kittening headbutt on my ele?…
You don’t even need headbutt to cancel out DH as a ele though.
Meanwhile in plat/legend there are still multiple DHs per team. Yep, totally dominate only low/mid ranks. Wake up.
No, there really isn’t.
I like how he says totally dominates. when i see things like double druid, triple necro double thief and warrior more often than stacked DHs.
Warrior has 2 physical invulnerabilities and one condition invulnerability in a 60s cooldown, reborns to ~6k HP the first time He reaches 0 life, cleanses conditions so well that is almost inmune and the best of all: 3 stuns in a 25s cooldown (one of them fills entirely its adrenaline bar).
Yeah for 5-8 seconds and then you have to wait almost another full minute as that is your only option.
With Dragonhunter let’s see I have a sword that blocks AND deals good damage, almost all my utilities heal and do damage/ another effect such as condi clear or block. Can’t use regular utilities? That’s ok I can just pop a virtue and be immune to damage and if I need another invuln again I’ll just pop my ultimate that blocks, heals and let’s me use it again as it resets cooldowns. That’s not even counting the fact utilities can heal for over 2k each WITHOUT investing in healing power which is kitten lol
Yeah, let’s compare THAT to 4 seconds on endure pain and waiting another full minute. Give me a break lol
The problem with this post in particular is that things are either half truths, i.e sword that blocks projectiles ; you compare a full set of utility skills and fskills all traited to base endure pain only. Its not a very convincing counter argument.
It’s a fair argument because those are only some of the options dragonhunter has while being able to pump out good damage, what do you do if you’re focused as a warrior? Let’s see, your healing sucks unless you continue to hit something via spending adrenaline. so if you were weak you would have to hit a dragonhunter reliably which you dont want to do if you’re low on health. You don’t want to be that close lol
So you have endure pain for power only, you have another stance for condi only (two utility slots btw) and block with your shield. Thats it. Those are your reliable ways of taking damage. It’s just more reliable to be able to spam traps, blocks and heal because you don’t even have to invest in healing power and you’ll still heal great. The virtues give you more blocks/invulnerabilities. It’s wayyyy more reliable.
Divine if you miss 5 bursts in a row you deserve to die. You have a rush on mace and and aoe on your gs. Keeping adrenal health at max is a non issue. Also the current tier standing has warrior as a DH counter so I fail to see your argument as valid. Signet of might is the current meta utility, so walk in, ep -> kill the DH who now is either forced to blow his long cd invuln or die. But really a warrior who cant hit 1 of 5-6 bursts really deservers to die. And if youre backing off when youre low hp you don’t understand warrior. That is when they have the greatest opportunity to turn the fight around and tick to full.
Actually they have DH counters listed as high sustain, something warrior isn’t known for. Go ahead, try to fight a good DH on point 1v1 with your warrior, you’re going to be in for a nasty surprise when he outblocks, heals and ccs you. The whole mentality of warrior is melee swing your sword and mace be in their face aggressively, which is what they’re equipped to deal with. This is why thieves have a hard time against them too, another strict melee class atm you’re not going to beat a good DH.
so this is what the world looks like through a bronze warrior’s eyes.
If you want to bring ranks into it I’m legendary so knock yourself out lol
Oops youre a 1400 low gold rating. That’s a blatant lie. Ouch public ratings telling it like it is.
Obviously his alt account is in Legendary, duh :P
Missing every single primal burst either means 1 of 2 you either got 1: Outplayed/ kited/dodged, 2: you’re mashing mindlessly into blocks or blinds. Most warriors I’ve seen carry might signet, and really it explodes DH’s that aren’t paying attention if the warrior is competent. It’s pretty 50/50.
Thats because signet of might is great, a boost in damage and temporary unblockable. They keyward there is “aren’t” as in if the dragonhunters aren’t paying attention and IF the warrior is good.
If you send your thief or warrior to contest far or another point against a DH because you’re in that position during the game, you’re going to have a bad time.
That’s the trade off and the only reason why you take SoM, you really can’t capitalize 6s of unblockable attacks? I guess it’s not worth blowing through DH’s 75s CD Shield of courage, Shelter(if they run it), or Focus 5 , and all the useless hard cc stuns you have being able to connect through blocks when you need them too ! Where as your damage boost from signet stats are really helping you do damage when they’re blocking when you need to pressure them or finish them off. O-b
Also why would you send a thief to fight their DH at far? That’s like leaving your necro at home to fight a thief rushing your home. Warrior match up is 50/50 if the warrior is good.
Warrior has 2 physical invulnerabilities and one condition invulnerability in a 60s cooldown, reborns to ~6k HP the first time He reaches 0 life, cleanses conditions so well that is almost inmune and the best of all: 3 stuns in a 25s cooldown (one of them fills entirely its adrenaline bar).

imo around the 1750+ rating and up should have rating gain normalized that way it’s not such a big sting for winning 21 rating after 3 matches only to lose all of it in 1 match, Keep the loss of rating where it’s at so it still has a impact, but set a minimum amount of rating gain so people aren’t getting like 5-7 rating for a match. It’ll add more incentive to keep on the main account, instead of alt hopping.
Things that should happen next season.
-150 matches required to be placed on the boards.
-Placement Matches – 1000 rating starting point, Highest you can be placed is in High Gold, lowest is obviously Bronze.
-old man voice- Back in my day the only rewards we got were PVP only gear with token Mystic Forging , glory, and the long term rank grinding for Dragon Rank. We obviously need to go back to that system because it was much better, no PVErs coming into my games for rewards!
Why don’t you add Merc, cele and clerics back in that case, NO one apparently had a problem with anything until those amulets got removed :]
Thinking about it now, i think if you really want to make GS a decent choice, some good damage buffs would be needed, since you’re sacrificing off hand utility with focus or shield by using a GS (if going LB) for a bit better AoE and pull. IMO better damage would be nice for GS considering it is a AoE burst weapon.
To put it short, yes but most people will run Sword/Focus for the ports. There’s actually a few builds out there that use mace, build around it, and works quite nicely.
This is definitely a balance problem in that within each class some traitlines are so superior to others. But instead of buffing core traitlines I would rather see elite spec lines either redesigned or nerfed some more to bring them in line with core traitlines.
The funny thing about E=Spec balance is that, we’re using a base class as the measure of balancing here, when really it’s going to be balanced around having other Especs in the game and having to choose, If you bring current e-specs in line with core profession, we’re just going to have the same exact problem again when they release another expansion with a new set of elite specs. If anything core profession class mechanics should really be improved so there’s a difference when slotting a elite spec or rolling base.
They really need to fix that otherwise fall damage reduction trait is gunna be in the meta on Legacy. :B
Wouldn’t be against a GS damage buff or utility add on, it could be better for sure, also WW finisher only spits out 1-2 bolts in a combo field. The only thing that GS shines better at then Sw/Focus/Shield, is that it has much better AoE burst, and adds another tool to pull people through ToF, but at a hefty cost of defense since you can’t run focus or shield for extra defense.
Judging by all the threads, X class is OP because my class takez 1093890300x skill than yours does, and it needs to be nerfed. My class is balanced and nothing is OP about it. L2P.
That’s the sum up of every profession is OP thread as of recent.
I will add to the discussion here why it’s so popular right now.
- It’s pretty easy to pick up, not gunna lie about it. It only gets difficult when you start fighting against people that know how to play and force you to blow your defenses.
-We’re in a glass meta, guardian is the easiest to play at the moment. Back a few seasons how others would describe as faceroll were Necros, condi mesmers and warriors and scrappers. Condi specs had mercenary amulet which was [Power,Condi,Vit,Toughness] and Scrappers had lower CDs, heavier health regen with Rapid Regn and were able to do good damage with paladin amulet. Eles back then also had cleric amulet and much higher healing with elemental bastion and Wash Away the pain. I think it might be a amulet problem, that extra health cushion goes a long way for guardians.
-DH when it was designed, was designed to be a offensive damage class core guardian was designed fore support and defending. If we were going to go off based on this design I’d rather have the DH virtues be true to what they were designed for. Being selfish. F3 could only protect the DH himself and no one else. F2 has a higher base heal then core, so it’d probably be better if it didn’t heal anyone else. F1 is fine with it’s pull but I’m on the fence about it, if you want it to be eve more reactable giving it a 0.5s cast time would be good while keeping it unblockable and at current speed would be better, the other way would be to keep it at 0.25s cast time but nerfing the speed it travels, adding Hunter’s Verdict to a trait requirement would just make the trait a mandatory trait which limits choice, not a good way to go about things either.
Trap stacking, either I’d vouch for diminished damage when triggering multiple of the same kind. Otherwise you could just lower the damage on them like PoB and such. Also giving them active portions like Shadow Trap so they don’t have CD start as soon as you put it down that way you can’t double up on them with one person. Removing a trap if another player of the same type places a trap isn’t the way to go about it, it’s like if someone in zerker’s places down a trap then then another person in Paladin’s or magi’s places down another one and removes the other’s trap, you see how that can screw things up? You’re asking for some deep coordination in solo queue which frankly is a really bad idea since it hardly ever exists unless you’re in voice coms.
So a few days ago i made a thf (i’m a dh main) since i wanted to have more options for counter comping. I tried that vault spam build. Good god. Massive aoe damage everywhere and the enemy can’t do anything about it. Bound, vault, bound, vault, bound, vault. Amazing.
Thank goodness i have an undodgeable pull on spear of justice to punish that evade spamming cheese. On a positive note though, playing around with thf has taught me that you can and should dodge vault since that is where most of the damage comes from and they use dodge to proc the daredevil runes and bound trait to proc a garaunteed critical hit on vault with an added 10% damage bonus. So don’t dodge bound, but dodge vault if you must.
It feels good to multi class.
Yis Thieves can be stupidly broken, especially if you play a necro, good thieves could walk on Revs if played well before the nerf. They also have the low brain power D/D condi build as well.
1+ supported
I don’t see a reason why ToF and skills of the such should still take effect when you port out of it or into it. It happens with Ele’s staff static circle too.
I agree that they got nerfed hard. Im not saying the nerfs should be reverted but something needs to be done for their heals. Both Glint and Shiro require active events to heals. Glint needs you to be targeted which any smart enemy will stop attacking. Shiro requires you to land hits. I don’t know any other class that has those restrictions.
DH trap heal is very easy to trigger so that doesn’t count.
I just want the dmg nerfs reverted
I do too, hopefully they give back a good chunk of the damage back on PS,but knowing anet it’s going to stay :< just like what happened with True Shot.
(edited by Lucentfir.7430)
Endure pain isn’t a invul and I wish people would stop acting like it is. EP is only immunity to power damage. You can still CC and condi stack during it.
I don’t even understand why this thread is a thing when power rev does everything better than power warrior.
I’d recon they’d say because Warrior does have passive EP and utility and that weakness they used to have of EP only affecting power damage gets soft covered by Berserk Mode, with pulsing stab and spammable F1 for 3+ condi clear procs and 1 on swap, with resistance access.
They may be redoing the f1 animation to be more visible since people have complained about it. Id be fine with a jedi light tether.
I wouldn’t think so, this effect happens with Druid staff AA and Ele Air Scepter AA too.
^ Seems like someone struck a nerve, now warrior can get thrown on the OP Skilless easy to play profession list :P
warrior op? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Yeah like i said before, unless you play a mesmer, ele, thief or necro every other class is OP and skilless cheese, some might argue against the necro portion though :B
Leaderboard needs to consider top stats whereby losing a game yet earning all the top stats would atleast lessen the amount of mmr loss.
And people keep posting this “IT’S ABOUT WHO YOU BEAT” meme, while failing to even consider administering a bit of rational conjecture prior to emitting such nonsense.
1) You play with people in your MMR threshold. Outside of literally the first 5 minutes of this season, the meme has no validity lmao. There are no win streaks. Just a slow gain of mmr, increasing both ends of your mmr threshold by about 10 or so points.
2) Stop claiming you should be able to carry out of bronze until you’ve done it 3 times. Please just stop. 90% of you posting that meme can’t do it and are afraid to even test out having to carry 4 npcs. Players like me and Helseth are obviously capable of it. But then again we are the top skilled players in our respective regions.

As far as carrying goes, it’s very doable to carry games of bronze and even silver. Though when you get people that at least have a brain and a basic understanding of rotation and what not to hop into and commit to, that’s where you can’t carry games all by yourself, you can’t carry games single handedly if your opponents have a clue how to play and fight and you happen to get some lucky fellow who scored a rating ticket on your team, you need semi decent players at the least to carry. 2cent
It definitely replaces Travelers for Guardian’s and the only reason I’d see using Speed runes on Guardian is if you’re running Zerker amulet and you need just a bit more HP for comfort zone.
Have you ever seen a dog dodge out of a leash?
Just going to repost this.
yis I suggest red tinted ToF swords for enemy Dh rings and traps, that way they’re easier to tell which ones are safe to be around and which ones you want to avoid.
Anet cant balance DH. Its not OP in high tier but stomps scrubs that cant play well. It puts them in a bind since ESL forces them to try to make all classes somewhat viable in pro settings.
They can balance DH at all skill levels, they just refuse to. Reduce and remove passive procs on stuff, rework some skills to be more rewarding if you know how/when to use it instead of just randomly spamming it. You instantly lower their power in lower tiers and increase their potential in higher tiers of play if the player knows how to play the class
I will suggest just removing Marauder’s Amulet and making Spvp only changes to reduce trap damage. PoB can get shaved, ToF initial damage can be removed or lowered quite a bit, Fragments of Faith on passive trait and the skill itself could take a hit as well in damage, since that trap is mainly used for aegis/defenses. most fotm guards i’ve noticed don’t react well being dropped to 20% or less under two seconds on marauder’s amulet.
Because it’s a freaking chain that is connected to you by the Guardian…
Rofl xD, yeah idk why people think that dodging something connected to you make any sense.
Do you have any idea how much complaining it takes to generate a single nerf?
And you want to undo all that effort?
For shame.
But people love to complain though, it gives them something to do instead of playing the game.
Unblockables from Necro and Warr do toast them pretty good, espec corrupt boon and tootyhorn 4 on the Necro.
They are also still very susceptible to projectile destruction/reflection. Sword 1 may have been fixed but LB, Sword 3, focus 4 are still very dependent on projectiles.
As a DH player I will say I’ve been caught with my pants down before in the middle of teamfights by a necro, normally having a stack of condis that’ll need to be cleared, trying to F2 out of the fray to recover only to get feared or CC’d by someone mid cast. Also for the longest time I’ve always dreaded facing competent warriors.
@Lucentfir – Guardians for sure carry you hard. I tested it myself, I don’t know how else I could have tested the class’s ability to carry considering I didn’t even read what my skills or traits did beforehand, and used everything as soon as it was off CD. No timing, no actually trying to outplay people. Just positioning and hitting skills as soon as I could.
And to those people who say that “its just bronze, it doesn’t matter”, who cares if it is just bronze? This doesn’t change the point that guard carries way harder than it should. Anet should be balancing around the average skill level of the game instead of around the top. The average skill level is definitely not in the platinum tier, its gold at best, and more than likely its probably somewhere down in silver.
Have you tried playing against people that actually have a clue how to play? Normally I’ll look into post thoroughly but this thread seems like -Oh it’s not my class, i played it without looking at skills and facerolled players that don’t have a clue how to play. So it’s OP AND BROKEN!" Granted they buffed core guard a bit s it’s a bit better, espcially for burn guards. Though the real problem here is stats, you’re complaining about guardian because it’s strong in a glass meta with active defenses, but totally ignore the fact other classes scale much better with appropriate stats. Having maruader’s amulet in game adds a lot of extra comfort and breathing room to classes with low health pools aka guardian thief. Go give classes like necro, mesmer warrior and such the dire equivalent and they’re just as easy to play with all that extra cushion. Though go ahead and keep preaching how broken guardian is base and DH. I’ll stand by with the removal of marauder’s Amulet considering it’s giving too much of a survivability advantage to power classes in general
Apparently if you don’t play thief mesmer or ele, your class carries you, and is immensely easy, and badly designed. Might as well make the game Mesmer, Thief and Ele, no soldier professions
Savage. 10/10 /15charrcatures
PVP drama is really brewing now. /popcorn.
Yes, gank all the rewards from SPVP, cut off the supply of fresh blood and allow it to continue shrinking. I understand some people’s frustration with totally clueless people entering a sorta competative scene just for rewards, but I think the game mode needs it, Not all of these strict PVE players are just going to grind their PVP ascended armor and leave, some will develop a taste for PVP content and in time you’ll have better and decent players. At least that’s the idea I think Anet is going for.
It’s because THEY’RE SUPER OP BROKEN PLS NERFZ, /jk xD
I’d be all for a new race, and the only right candidate for a new race would be the Tengu. It’s possible but there’s obviously going to be a bit of sacrifice to bring in a new playable race. IMO how I’d go about making a new race would be:
-Expansion Pack/Paid Unlock.
-Have said new race have it’s own short personal story or quest up until the point of where the expansion took off(To avoid previous LS episodes and having to do all those lines in previous content.) Some might call it a lazy work around but if you think about it it’s going to save a whole lot of resources and and painful backtracking. Unabling the new race in previous LS content works too.
-New content can be played with other races as supplemental assistance to said new race.
-Find a way to make new player race character connect into Dragon’s Watch for future LS episodes.
So really the work that has to be done mainly would be animations, customizability and armors. That’s where the work is. Which looks like a lot a work still and probably is, but it seems a bit doable at least, especially if there were existing assets from launch.
It’s 50/50 but decently played scrapper should win over the long haul since DH and guard in general’s sustain is in forms of brick heal utility skills unless they’re the symbolic variety then it’ll stalemate. One thing that;s prevented me from securing the kills on over aggressive scrappers with counter burst is the passive Elixir S, followed by another one. For necros if you’re engaging 1v1 it’s a bad idea most of the time unless you’re confident you can burn them down.
8/10 matches, the team with the most number of guardians will win, that is a fact.
I wouldn’t say it’s fact….I play DH, just yesterday I had a match where I got 2 thieves on my team and the other team got 2 DHs. my team ended up winning with 500-200.
I think it’s a bit too early to start bragging about it. Granted the system hasn’t even been out for a week yet? Players are still climbing and lucky placement matched people are still being weeded out and falling from higher MMR. It’d be brag worthy if you held it was either rearing the end of the season or at least a month when the system has stabilized the pool of players at more accurate MMRs?
I dont care its my Alt troll account. I can brag as early as I want. And i have 100 games played so I didint magically appear in the top 100 after just 10 games .
I’m not saying you can’t brag, I’m saying it might be too early too. Good you have 100 games but that’s in the span of 6 days, meaning hundreds more are going to be played over the course of the season. People are still climbing and dropping, Not to mention there are some players sitting on their MMR at to not lose their points and alts of other players sitting at the top with less then 30 games. You’re waving it around in other threads to belittle other players in terms of placement and where they actually belong as if it meant anything in 6 days? Congrats though shrug
in 6 days people had time to play a couple of games. They already had time to grind at least 400-500 MMR points which is enough to decide where you belong. Im not saying I belong in the top 100, probably not but im surely not one of these plebs stuck in silver claiming they should be higher
I wouldn’t say 6 days is enough time to find out where you truly belong, we have more then a month to find out, and not everyone will grind their brains out 100 matches in 6 days. People say they’re stuck and come to complain but there’s always the possibility they’ll get unstuck. If a longer period of time passes say a month and they’re still stuck, yeah they probably belong at silver or bronze or w.e they’re stuck at.

Or we can go the Anet route and remove Marauder’s possibly shaving WoR by 1000 points?
I’m tellin ya!
DH OP now!
=P
Anyway, when we dueling again? Tweaked my set-up a lil coming back after 3 months to these darn nerfs.
Soon enough xD, muh brain still remembers the druid spankings I got some months ago.

I didn’t play previous seasons as wasn’t really into pvp that much, so you tell me.. The fact that DH is overpowered has nothing to do with what season we are in, it is just a fact.
Explains your bias and narrow perception i’ve played through S1-S4 on DH and reached legend in 3 seasons solo, the fact that DH is strong is because they tuned some of the other classes and removed amulets like Mercenary (Power/Toughness/Vit/Condi) and Cleric for ele bunker support. DH was pretty non-existent due to the fact Scrapper had MUCH more sustain and projectile hate and bully people off points, while Ele also hated on them with projectile hate and AoE heals and practically made them ignorable. And people would stack the meta classes just like they’re stacking DHs now. Also people agree 1 DH isn’t much a problem, it’s when there’s more than 2 on a team where it starts to get hectic as other posters would say.
No, class stacking only seems to be an issue with DH’s, the fact that a DH main doesn’t agree says it all as doubt you’d want your skills nerfed, it still doesn’t mean I am wrong though..
And again I guess it wasn’t a issue in the previous seasons? Where everyone would run Double Scrapper, Double Revenants, Double Necro, etc? I’ve played my class through thick and thin, and as I said before it’s your opinion, I wouldn’t pass it along as fact.
