They got punished. However, people are going to extremes to try and punish them. They had to buy a new account and start over on a game that has been out for 4+ years. That is a pretty harsh punishment in my book.

I would understand if this was a first offense thing, this isn’t a first offense thing for some of them. We’ve had game throws/ match manipulation, system exploits, etc over the whole course since seasons have started, and now this event. Things like this really need to stop. The punishment they were given isn’t a punishment, it’s a hurdle, especially when they were already alting to begin with. A real punishment would of been a ban for main and found alt accounts. The real loss of all earnings over the years would be a sticky one. Regardless if they continue to play with new accounts or not. Though permanent dishonor, something they loophole easily by getting a different account, does nothing. Dishonor purpose=You cannot play unranked or Ranked, what are these players going to do? Play in those modes regardless. They didn’t lose anything other than the ability to queue on their mains and sub-alts. They can still log in on them, send and gift their new account things and w.e else. There’s no real consequence for their actions, and this is why people are are speaking out about this.

How many people have been perma banned for buying gold? How many have been banned for having someone run raids for them?

How should I know how many people are banned? If proof exists (hint: in this case there is), they should be punished. Your logic seems to be if other players got away with it, these guys should get a pass too.

Are you intentionally being dense? Selling raids is purely an in game gold interaction. Gold selling and what these players did was sell a service for real life money. I’d rate this worse personally because doing this type of nonsense in a pvp setting should be unacceptable.

What makes this worse is that they made money off this which is akin to gold seller services. Normal cases this would of been a permaban easily for both sides, the dealer and the purchaser. Though I’m guessing the offending players get special treatment that exempt them from real consequence. People defending offenses are either supporters of things like this or blindly following offenders.

Seems like the forum can’t handle too many quotes so the original context is lost. The point I’m trying to make is people account share to get PvE rewards, e.g. get someone to run a holiday jumping puzzle or raid instance for them.

The other point I’m trying to make is condemning all real money transactions is a slippery slope. Many streamers in games offer additional services to paid subscribers to their stream. Maybe it is extra tip videos that aren’t available to the public, in game dueling practice, partying privileges etc.

It is already been pointed out by others that people are being hypocritical. If all people that ever made a real money transaction in the game, or logged into someone else’s account got perma banned we would lose a significant portion of the community.

The qwertyui guy that is selling gold in the public channel isn’t playing on a legit copy of the game. They are on hacked accounts and should not factor into this discussion.

You fail to understand the point itself, and bring in other people account sharing on the PVE side of things. Breaking the ToS is breaking the ToS, you’re implicating that I think or other people think it should be tolerated on the PVE side of things when it’s in the same ball park. It’s still breaking the ToS. To even plainly put it is ’don’t play on a account you do not own.’ That’s it, in terms of account sharing. Not only that but the people that already do this in terms of PVE don’t make it very obvious it’s account sharing meaning it’s harder for Anet to nail offenders. It even makes it more difficult if account sharing happens in the same household, which might as well be owner(s) of the accounts.

There isn’t a slippery slope, making money off of knowledge and sharing wisdom isn’t the same as ‘play as me and, win me rewards’, and also very different from, be part of my club for a fee, and we’ll let you know the password to our custom server. Subscribers to streams shouldn’t even be brought up, since streaming is its own service and the content always has a variable to change, it’s entertainment that serves no other purpose but entertainment and viewing, and subscribers normally subscribe because they want to support that streamer, appreciating the time they spent in the channel.

The situation we ‘had’ here, is players that obviously broke the ToS with account sharing, made money for playing on accounts they did not own, in a tournament no less for prestigious rewards, for paying players. Also some of them having history of exploiting in the past. Further ruining the integrity of PVP, or rather whatever was left. Not only that but avoiding a consequence given that’s supposed to stop offending players from playing in ranked and unranked, but by-pass this anyway by playing on alternate accounts. By all logic this should of been a sure permaban for main and alt accounts of offending players rather than permanent dishonor, but since these players are a special case they’re exempt from any real severe punishment. This just sends the message it’s okay to break the ToS and exploit where you can, which i do not support.

Permanently banned players still free to play

If that was the case from the get go, IDK why they even bothered to slap on permanent dishonor on the accounts. When someone says oh but they’ve been permanently dishonored on their main account, that’s equal to a ban! That’s a bull argument, since the point of dishonored is to stop said player from playing. Though those same players are playing still by hopping on new accounts to play. Meaning the permanent dishonor punishment does absolutely nothing, except throws a hurdle in offending players way, basically saying hey you can’t play on this account but you can play on another one. Though whatever, get to playing in tournaments people, because the message is really clear here. Get to the top and you’re untouchable from any real consequence even breaking the ToS.

Anet: We’re going to take severe action for this offense! No we’re not really going to, even though ToS was broken, and all the exploiting done in the past." Anet’s course of action in a nutshell.

Your Firebrand Tome Suggestions?

Pretty much the only thing for me to suggest for fluidity sake would be to reduce the cast time to either 1/4s or 1/2s as well as the tome skills themselves and some after casts. That is mostly my gripe with Tomes. Mantras need a bigger range or to make it a PbAoE around yourself.

A possible fix for Firebrand

Playing Firebrand pretty much all day, I have to say I feel a lot better playing Vanilla guard than Firebrand If i actually wanted to support. But I really do like the tomes and Firebrand itself, it just needs a few fixes though.

Imo the fixes that need to happen are
-Lowered Cast times for both swapping into your tomes and and some of the tome skills themselves. They’ve helped me go down more than they actually helped me support and/or survive. Example- getting condi bombed swap to tome of resolve, try to cast the 2 or the 5 for condi cleanse, already dead.

-Mantras- Honestly I think they could use a ranged buff, either further out in a cone 600 range or AoE around you. Burn mantra needs to be 3 burn at least, final charge should be 6-7 burn for 4 seconds.

My two cent for what needs to happen.

I mean if you’re gonna cheat there has to be consequences to your actions. Otherwise you’re giving everyone else the idea this type of garbo is acceptable and Anet doesn’t care about it. While the top is now butchered, it just means that we’re going to have a new top tier filling in their place in time. Though idk said dishonored players are going to use that money they got to just get new accounts, or keep it and move on to another game.

Spvp and PvP in general is dying..

It’s always been dying, and the player base is shrinking and shrinking. I have not played this season(Played in every season since S1) because the main game mode is both stale and not very enjoyable. Especially when you’re trying to climb the board it can get stressful and frustrating, and seeing the top exploiting, cheesing or manipulating the system for top spots kind of kills it more for other people. Granted a lot of those players do belong up there but it really hurts the integrity of competitiveness, for a competative mode when you know the same players have like three alt accounts up there and they’re queueing with others from the top to fill more of those spots.

A increase on CD isn’t going to kill the weapon, all it means is we’re going to AA more in between TS. So yeah I’ll probably still use bow, though the ToF combo is pretty much meh’d now.

Any sort of X Legend titles just means they have some experience in PvP before, it doesn’t make them good just a indicator of experience, or they’ve learned a bit about rotating in conquest. Legendary Wings and Dragon finisher don’t mean jack. Skilled Duelers and Roamers come in various appearances, normally good and skilled players know how to read opponent and/or make it hard for you to read them. They keep track of your CDs and don’t random dodge, unless they’re trying their best to predict a predictable insta cast ability like steal.

NO, do not drop the amount of unblockables . I say this as a guard main too. I still remember back then when no one used to take unblockables like Might Sigent because it was considered a waste. Now everything seems to have a use. Like boon strips/corrupts, unblockables, projectile hate are all much more valuable things to have compared to what they were back then.

Probably due for another addition of E-Specs, and there will be variety and balance will probably be better. I’d really like Anet to give people who use the base profession something unique to complete, be it bonus stats or another skill set. I won’t mind the power creep much, i now if they didn’t add E-Specs people would be complaining still because core professions would of been equivalent to petrified bread with no new additions, and we’ve seen how useful the added heal skills were in the past, which were absolutely dreadful.

Also, condi guard can be way better than power if you know what you’re doing. Same thing with condi engi, it’s more of a gimmick, but could work in ranked, so it’s viable. I haven’t played condi rev a lot, but I’ve seen a lot of cases where I see condi revs destroying every other build.

I would switch off my Condi guard if I’m versus a guard/war combo, or if I’m against Naru and Amon. I don’t switch if I’m against subpar dh/war players.

High Gold, Low Plat is where burn Guard currently belongs but it’s very gimmicky vs those two classes on a team.

Revs/Necro/Rangers/Full trap guard and >insert 0 cleanse spec<
Will all have issues vs a Condi comp without a support class like Ele helping them out.

This is true I’ve ran into a mix of burn and symbol guards in the past, though normally when i face known burn guards, if I feel my team might insta flop to burn, or just against a heavy condi comp, I’ll swap to a PoV+Soldier Rune support DH spec, it normally gets the job done in saving people in teamfights against condi bombs/burn bursts and what not.

TBH you really shouldn’t be expecting much in terms of the story regarding your character, aside from one or two unique racial options/dialog options that may appear. All 5 race characters share the same scene after all. It’s just best to think of your character as Anet’s character for telling/progressing story, and it’s kinda immersion breaking to have every player character as Commander/Guild Leader/Dragon Slaying Demigod Savior.

Why on earth does anyone need an incentive to play PvP? The fact you can play PvP should be all the incentive you need. I just don’t get it, you need a reward to use a play mode? I would remove all rewards from PvP so that it becomes a game mode for people that actually just want to PvP, you reward chasers can go do something else. Entitlement is high here.

Then you’d have a even dead-er population than S6. Coming from the day of the glory reward system, I want to say that it’s nice doing what you like and being rewarded for the time you put into it. Otherwise what’s the point of doing something you like, but could be doing something more lucrative with your time like playing PVE for something you want. The talk of incentive is dual purposed so players who like playing the game mode(spvp) are rewarded decently for playing what they want to play without feeling like they should of played PVE to get something they wanted, and at the same time reeling in fresh or returning players to help grow the small PvP population from being the barren wasteland it is.

This is why this game failed…. people chasing rewards.

you could literally have a game where the characters are stick figures and you had one button but there were countless rewards and people would play just to tell others how many rewards they have achieved.

Games like league of legends dont even rely on rewards for their players to stay interested. The game offers better, sharper, more tightly constructed pvp than most pvp games period. People log on to PLAY THE GAME. Not to get rewards.

Another thing that killed this game is the fact that some classes are just overloaded lol.

Engineer is needlessly overloaded.
Elementalist is needlessly overloaded.

The classes who just have too much tedious crap to push and spam are needlessly overloaded. Anet should be willing to compress the range of stand-alone abilities offered to all classes. I used to try to complain that necros did not have enough. The truth is other classes have too much.

Friends I’ve played with (who no longer play) all pretty much agreed that the Eni and Ele were unnecessarily stuffed with too many “buttons”. Just too much crap. Engi has 5 skills (f1-f5) which change on top of your normal weapon 1-5 + 3 utilities which can offer more 1-5 and bleh blah blah.

Another of League of Legends greatest achievements is creating champions with complex/ high skill ceilings while still retaining a level of simplicity (low skill floor). Vayne is the best example of this. She is pretty simple to understand but offers so much for the player to learn and advance.

Anet doesn’t really do this. Warrior is almost part of that vein(puns) but when you really look at war its just an over-the-top Tyndamere. 1 Champion = the entire warrior class.

You ever watch the pro league of GW2? the commentators have nearly completely given up on giving play-by play of the actual skills becuase there is no piont. Everthing is spammed and none of the skills have any actual weight behind them.

Nobody “lands” anything in this game. Nobody get off that trick shot. nobody makes them plays. Its all a blur. Just one big spectacle of nonsense and who-cares-whos-winning particles.

Then, in the end, Anet looks at the WoW-mentality of some of its players and caters to their need for rewards. A fleeting and short lived/sighted endeavor. These people will eat up your content in a day and want more. Let them go back to wow. Let them go.

People keep comparing League and Gw2 as if they’re even remotely similar. League is designed to be strictly PvP, the reward in that game is you can earn IP for Champions and Runes so you don’t have to purchase them with money and that’s really all that’s of worth in that game. Gw2 is a MMORPG, where three aspects exists for three different audiences(PVE,WvW, Spvp), where rewards would be gold, skins, gear and the such, and balancing the worth of every game type between each other. Spvp needs good rewards otherwise people who enjoy their game mode aren’t rewarded for their time.

In terms of gameplay League and Gw2 differ tremendously. For one while both modes are 5v5 and team oriented, league has a leveling and currency/itemization system which is what makes it so much more different than GW2 you might as well be comparing apples to bananas . In league you can kill and make the other lane opponent lose creep score which puts him or her behind. His opponent got gold out of the kill and was able to farm more and get better items faster and possibly fed. GW2 PvP you’re stuck with your set of abilities once the match starts, there’s no starving your opponent to being less effective, there’s no transition of a early-mid-late game set up. There’s no itemization so you can’t build against a team comp, not to mention Gw2 doesn’t have set roles.

Is expansion 2 make or break for GW2?

I think people are still forgetting that HoT was more of a framework expansion than a actual content expansion. As in the content placed in HoT was more for future workings. and feature rich, Examples are Guild Halls, Raids, new skills/spec system(E-Specs), progression system, and Legendary Crafting(Precursor crafting). I definitely have my hopes up for the next expansion being more content rich now that we have good systems in place. A good indicator of this is also the quality of maps released through LS as well as story. So I’m going to say it’ll probably do better than HoT.

Would more Elite Specs save PvP?

In terms of build diversity, yes. Having more E-specs will leave options for different playstyles. The reason why we got super power creed’d in the first place is of two things. One is that when E-Specs dropped they dropped only one into the game, pretty much every E-spec remedied a lot of previous flaws the base class had and improved on profession mechanics or added to it. Though to be fair it did open playstyles not previously possible to function decently. The second is Anet didn’t do anything to make a base class worth taking over a E-Spec except with a few rare instances in PVE builds. Having multiple good options is what it’s really all about.

People should be looking forward to future E-Specs being dropped in the game, so there’s instances where it goes “should I choose Chrono or should i go with [X Memser E-Spec here].” Also opening up different playstyles. I know there are a ton of mesmers that still want a spec that isn’t so much reliant on clones or Phantasms for more sustained damage, or rangers having to rely on pets to make up a portion of their damage. I’m sure necros will get something like mobility or active defenses in the future too since it’s pretty desired for necro players.

Also if you want to add that E-Spec ruined the game, no it wasn’t the only culprit, just the whole Specialization system in general. even before HoT was dropped in.

There isn’t enough of a population to separate team and solo queue just in ranked conquest. There wasn’t even enough backing in the beginning and there certainly isn’t now. So it’s gonna have to be mixed.

Are pug teams going to lose to premades? Yes. Maybe not every single time, but alot. The beauty is, if you’re a 733t Gold semipro, you never have to worry about that scrub silver messing up your game and holding you back to keep you out of plat where you belong! Grab another 4 “Map Chat Heroes” and make a super unstoppable power team!!!! Boom!!

Should Anet make a solo 1v1 arena? Sure. Certainly seems like there’s enough interest from people to play a solo ranked game. I can’t see it destroying the team mode. It’s worth looking into maybe. Balance issue, notwithstanding. I don’t know about dev costs or whatever.

Should Anet remove the team queue from their team mode PvP? Ridiculous. Of course not.

I didn’t say anything was wrong with top players teaming up, top players regardless have stayed at the top of the board through every season no doubt, it also goes to say though the past seasons have shown top players are willing to exploit to get where they want to be, just like how early seasons queueing with 1 amber division player(or alt account) in a pre-made got them easy farm matches, as well as match manipulation, smurfing and the such following after that. My gripe is that even outside the known top players, pre-made players are going to be filling up the slots because they have just that much advantage over pug solos.

What you’re describing is farming unorganized players with a organized group, aka pre-made players dominate the board, while some that occupy the slots aren’t even top grade but got carried with their queue teams, Especially in a ranked environment you’re pulling out all the stops to give yourself as much of a chance to win and with more reason to use comms. The type of leaderboard you describe is all about farming random teams(almost entirely solo teams) with organized ones. That isn’t what a leaderboard is about, as you go up your matches should get harder because you’re fighting against equally skilled players/leveled playing field, it shouldn’t be just because you farmed a bunch of unorganized/bad players while you had the advantage.

Your argument is weak, regardless if you queue solo or with other people in your party you end up on a team. The difference between solo and pre-made is the fact that in a solo the other team has a equal chance of getting either good or bad players just like the other team while pre-mades you cherry pick your team and go against complete randoms. It’d be a different story if pre-mades were fighting pre-mades but sadly that’s not the case you’re presenting.

Your explanation with pugs losing to pre-mades is also more so a reason why pre-mades shouldn’t be tossed against solo queue random teams. Did it ever occur to you that if a silver scrub is holding you back from where you -think- you really belong in, platinum maybe you don’t belong in platinum? Just food for thought.

Also the suggestion was pure solo for one queue option, and the other option queue has improved pip gain and you can queue with any number of players in a party, including solo just so you can fill the case of 4 man needing 1, or 2 duos needing 1. solo queuers shouldn’t be farm material for pre-mades.

Having a pure solo queue option(its own queue) will put everyone on a even playing ground and good players will organically rise to where they belong,

Legendary Armor in PVP

There should be a way to acquire these in PvP. Either through a large ascended shard purchase of the required items or as a reward for X position. I do think that if you are top 10, you should have your choice of legendary armor piece. It provides replay ability for best players to come back for several seasons, and incentive to do better.

Or ask for like 500 ascended shards for items required to craft it, rather than having to do a raid.

Keep in mind unless position based, rewards in PvP are easier to get, so they should cost slightly higher. And Anet can easily offset that with time required to get them.

tl;dr… provide an avenue for legendary through pvp.

If automated tournaments become a thing in the future, that should be the only way it’s obtained in Spvp. Considering all the work in collections you need to do to even craft Legendary armor in PVE.

The best solution here would be to make 2 different queues and leaderboards and separate MMR between the two queues (personal Solo MMR/Team MMR). Make a pure Solo queue and a Team queue (which you can also hop in solo for). Both have their own leaderboards. Team queue having higher pip gain over pure solo queue as a incentive to join team queue. You make solo queuers happy, and you give the option for people who want to play with friends or just cherry pick who you want to queue with happy. If you ditch solo/duo straight up in turn to just bring back the ability to full 5 man team queue we’ll be back to having solo queue farmers, and pretty much every top player is going to queue with the best players and the leaderboard top slots are going to be filled with premade players almost entirely hence why 2 different leaderboards.Though to counter act between the 2 queues if it happens, cut the minimum game requirement around to around 60 for both.

Thanks for the laugh, a game where people have taken down numerous raid bosses for 10 man groups with groups of 4-6, and someone even soloed one, GW2 raids are about as hardcore as My Little Pony.

Compared to what PVE group content was Pre-HoT, yes it’s miles more challenging. Those people who do it with 4-6 man groups maximize their their roles with build and damage rotations, and play near perfect. Soloing a raid bosses, to my understanding it was Carin and Slothsor who were solo’d. Which i might add solo’d by thief only with builds like perma dodge staff thief and perma stealth condi trapper thief(Oversighted with stealth ignoring fight mechanics with sloth) and that took 1-2 hours without any mess ups. If it were carebear EZ as you make it to be, the OP should have no problem carrying pugs to get the armor skins he wants so badly.

Because it’s a reward incentive to do Raids. If you want Legendary armor you do raid, it’s as simple as that. It boggles my mind how the Spvp community went from we don’t need PVE rewards, to why can’t we do PVP for Hardcore PVE prestigious items. If you don’t touch raids or fractals, that’s all on you because you don’t want to bother with it. If you really wanted it, you’d do #braindeadpve.

We’ve never expressed not wanting rewards… the PvP community has Always pushed for better rewards because we would receive zilch for time spent in PvP.

What boggles my mind? How any PvE player can receive a PvP back piece so easily. It should have been more difficult but Anet wanted a steady stream of casuals… which I guess is fine… but everyone and their mothers have the back piece

I hope Legendary armor can be more exclusive to PvP players because lets face it… PvP players whose been gaming since launch with only 6k achievement points under their belt will never get the back piece unless they turn over a new leaf.

I was there with the community pushing for better rewards for however many years since the old glory system, but as soon as Leagues received robust rewards(maybe a bit too good) in S5, I’ve seen many threads about wanting to nuke the rewards just so they didn’t get PVErs in their matches making grabby hands at ascended gear. Well it happened and we got a barren S6 to show for it. Now be as it may how easy it is to get The Ascension, you still couldn’t have gotten it through PVE only. People had to put in the time despite how much they didn’t want to do PVP. You also have to remember we didn’t have the current reward system in place when The Ascension dropped with the first iteration with leagues. So saying high level back then would of meant getting into Legend was the barrier for entry,

Why is this all of a sudden different as soon as Legendary armor drops that it should be obtainable to people who only play Spvp. Have the recent Legendary weapons been obtainable to people who only play SPVP?(Gen 1 Legendaries don’t count since they can be straight up bought from the TP) Putting Legendary armor as rewards for top 250 isn’t a worthy enough spot especially when people are always trying to game the system. IMO if you have to make Legendary armor a reward in Spvp, it should be available via tournaments, that is a worthy spot for Legendary armor to be rewarded.

well, I dont care about the stats, I just would like to have the skin. Why should good looking skins be available only for pve´rs?

Do you think PVE’ers only make Legendary armor for the stat swappability? People make Legendary armor for the skin/particle effects primarily, the stat swapping and rune swapping is a cherry on top. Making it so strict Spvpers can just get the skins without having to raid defeats the purpose of having it be a prestigious reward for people who do hardcore group content. Good looking skins, you want it yes? Then go out and do what you need to do to get it if your really want it that badly, no one is stopping you yourself. Not all SPVPers only play Spvp you know, I know a fair bit who play every aspect of this game, but find the most enjoyment in pvp.

I would take the name Firebrand over Purifier any day for the Guardian Elite spec name. Firebrand sounds more universal and fitting compared to Purifier if it’s going to be a Condi/healer spec, that people are guessing it’s going to be, Purifier doesn’t sound right, imo sounds more like a household appliance than a spec, and if it’s going to be matching with spec theme, it sounds like a condition cleanse bot, which Guardian already has the capability to. I hope they stick with Firebrand, or at the very least come up with something in relation to the speculated tomes coming.

How about we just wait for the next ex-pack to release another set of E-Specs so current E-specs aren’t the only valuable choice? Removing E-Specs isn’t going to do much except set back everything that was worked on over the course of the year. Rather Running core should have its own benefit over running a E-Spec.

The biggest give away for Anet to realize something is wrong with DH in pvp is the fact that just about every single game contains two DH on each team.

No other class/spec has that much up time.

Something is not right.

It happens, but I honestly see double DH at the same rate as double warrior, double necro.

i want team play back…. its a team format game you should be able to form teams anyone who complains about i dont want to get smashed by premades that was there prerogative to chose to solo que… they had the same equal opportunity to get on a team or make a team.

while i do see the value in a solo/duo que its clear it hasnt worked as the pvp community is far worse shape then it ever has been and this is the only real major change that has happened is that.. its killed the community, it made a already toxic environment worse, and it killed any guild if any infrastructure there was .

What’s your proof on solo-duo having its impact on the current state of the game? Were you not here for S5? S5 might of been the best season so far, the only things that ruined it was the fact that people game’d the system with alt accounts filling slots, match manipulation and more. S6 is horrible because they nuked the rewards hard, to where it isn’t even worth queuing up for most people. So loss of a lot of fresh blood and motivation coming into the game mode, and now everyone is feeling the effects with longer queue times for wonky matches most of the time, that and ESL shutting down hammered another nail in the coffin.

It wasn’t because of “OH obviously it’s because of the removal of premades that PVP is dead yeh!” I’ve had my fill of premades, it belongs in its own queue against other pre-mades if its going to exist. If you want to have fun with your friends unranked is there and still kicking it. Solo/duo for ranked is the best system imho, people who opt for premades to return makes me think they want to roll with it again to have fun farming solo queuers with their cherry picked team with coms most likely.

Nope, Legendary Armor being a raid only reward is fine by me. A incentive to play other aspects of the game. If you’re going to want them you’re going to have to take that long and scary walk in the PVE park(Dun dun dun) to get them, just like how others who exclusively do PVE have to run through a dark alley filled with thugs and muggers in order to get what they want from Spvp.

I’d vouch for 5 man teams only if it had its own queue (Only Premade 5v5) and leaderboard. Sadly the player pop is too small for it. I do enjoy the current system, it’s just I wish they didn’t nuke rewards as much as they did, it pretty much killed most motivation to play/deal with ranked in the first place. I’d rather not go back to ranked where people could cherry pick their team and go against full randos. While not every full pre-made was a guaranteed win, it’s a pretty significant advantage still.

I gave the build a whirl in a couple of unranked matches, it holds itself well, as long as you don’t chug down loads of AoE damage. As I said before too the mobility of the build is pretty bad and is stunlockable once CoP and VoC is out of the way, but I guess that’s a tradeoff for being really difficult to kill. Condi comps AR is the best choice to go with, but almost against entirely power, auto health proc sanctuary is better. Sanctuary utility is also really lulzy for decapping points I find, and gives you a lot of breathing room, especially when you get 1+’d by things like thief.

You would be amazed how often this happens, its to the point now where I no longer talk to my team as I just accept that they more than likely will not know what they are doing,

Ive seen teams 4v1 a guard off point while the enemy stands in point, I don’t understand it, ive seen more players this season that don’t know their class or at least what their class is supposed to do, than any previous

Remember that the ratings don’t really count for crap this season, due to the way the leaderboard is setup, there are a lot of players in the top 100-250 that normally would never be there.

So it doesn’t count because people can’t just sit on their rating anymore, and play 1 game every 3 days to stay on the board? I like the way the leaderboard is setup currently because you have to maintain a increasing number of games every week to keep a hold on your position. It just sucks though since Anet nuked the rewards meaning less players participating since it isn’t worth the time or the headache.

Tbh balance trait set wise, the system is already in place, E-specs will be balanced when we have more than just one E-spec. If we had 2 on release of HoT we’d probably have a bit more diversity. The problem with core would be that if you wanted to bring it up to be competative with E-specs, core is either going to need a new exclusive skill type(That you lose for going with a E-Spec), or some sort of special bonus and/or improved base profession mechanic. Nerfing E-Specs to core levels is a very short term band aid fix that fixes very little, All that’s doing is setting up to repeat the cycle. New E-Spec is released and it’s now BiS trait, back to square one complaining about how the new E-Spec if bonkers broken.

gl surviving anything with no stunbreak, mobility and condi clears.

I actually ran a SA build for a part of last season, it’s actually pretty solid, but it gets a bit boring after a while.. I think the one I ran was a shout variation with menders. Fragments of Faith is a stun breaker(also have the auto proc on being CC’d Shard of Faith), you can also take SYG, Retreat and Receive the light. Also taking Pure of Voice and Trooper Runes so you have nearly the best team condi cleanse. Hunters Fortification too means you have boat loads of condi clear, just not enough to survive repeated corruptions and condi bombs. My biggest gripe with the build is that it has no killing power,chase power or mobility in general. So the only thing you’re pretty spot on about is the mobility. I also faintly remember guards that dropped tons of multi hit abilities would end up killing themselves thanks to retal.

I’m surprised no one on your team swapped to Ele Support as soon as they saw that team comp. No one to keep those necros alive, Also rifle engi isn’t strong against that comp either. What matchmaking did get right though is putting all the Dragon Hunters on the Dragon’s Despair team.
