Who are the Top 3 PvP Guards?

Not talking Spvp exclusively, from experience, in duels/fights in no specific order.

Naru is definitely top grade, fought him Guard v Guard pre-HoT in a 1v1 Tourny,

Meridia/VentusThunder – Is top grade Guardian Player next to Naru for me, Minokinz I often pair up with Meri(Just a FYI, they’re WvW players mainly, but do Spvp)

booMs – He competes in tournys, and is generally known as a top tier Guardian, I’ve only ever fought him years ago with a experimental magi Vampire necro back then.

Arken – Great guard player, knows his stuff, and knows how to play well.

That’s about it, though I know I’ve played with a some people on this forum at least once or twice, even seeing them, in a ranked match with me before :P, they’re also pretty good.

Do berserkers need nerf?

Adrenal Health might be a bit over tune atm. Though doesn’t mean it should be neutered. I like the change but might be due for a small shave not to say every other spec might need some shaves. Old Adrenal health was tremendously weaker and your sustain was tied to not using your burst skill. Not to mention it only ticked every 3s for about 300ish heal, and when you did use a burst skill you lost AH and had to build up max Adrenal again for full effect AH Regen. The change now made it tick every second which is a massive increase. A FYI the tool tip lists the amount total healed for 1 stack over 15s, not 3 stacks in total.

Cause everything and their mother has reflects and projectile absorbs now.

This. AA with sword and having a Scrapper or ele with magnetic aura, means you either have to cancel your chain or dodge it if it fires off, and 3 is all projectile and root, So if anything, the only thing that doesn’t hurt you in the end is Flashing Blade, which is mainly just used to gap close and blind.

Heres food for thought.

Power builds are mitigated by things like toughnes, weakness and protection and flat damage mitigation. Not to mention it takes 3 stats to make your hits hurt Pow/Fero/Prec. So normally your left glassy. Being glassy and having active defense are okay in my book.

Block, evades, dodges, invulns affect both condi and power, though for condi if you have them on you already it does nothing.

The condi side, it only takes 1-2 stats to make your condis hurt, 3 if you’re willing to sack defense for condi duration. You can counter condi with Resistance, clearing and very specific mitigation traits on certain profs. Though really the only class with really high uptime on resistance, is warrior and Mallyx Rev. Also clearing is not a guaranteed way of removing damage condis, since any real condi build runs Sigil that will layer additional condis aka condi covers. So it’s not guarantee, a example of this would be I have 5 unique condis two of them are damage conditions with a moderate stack amount, I have a condi clear that clears 2 condis. So it’s a toss up 2/5 odds I’ll be able to clear the damaging ones. The way condi operates too is if I know you don’t have any more good mass or consistent removal I can load you up with condis and just run around you once I know it’s sufficent enough to kill you.

Though I think what really ticks people off about condi builds are that on top of of good stat defense, and damage unmitigated by armor/protection/weaknesss and less stats to make work efficently. SOME classes have access to loads of passive and active defenses.

The only reason you would play DH or Guardian now is if you just love the class that much or you’re too much of a die hard Guardian main to abandon the class. Atm a good majority of other professions are a lot better or easier to win with once you get down the basic idea of your class/build. Traits for guard are rather all over the place and generally underwealming ,almost more than half of the utilities are obsolete or never used not because people don’t want to use them, rather they’re just bad and not really usable. And with the way things are now we’re just ouclassed vastly.

Reaper - GS should be invulnerable

Scrapper hammer shall lead us into a new age of weapon design.

Honestly, I think gs 2 is a perfect example of how the game should be. It is highly telegraphed and should deal heavy damage.

The fact that it can have an instant recharge means it is spammable, which if you added an evade to it then that would be bad game design

Its actually bad, 5+2 doesnt even combo itself. And 5/5 skill from GS are so clunky theyre buggy and miss 99%. its zero value.

Paladin Hammer scrappers is true salvation.

I don’t know man, last time I played a power GS necro in pvp it was quite fun. It takes a bit of getting used to though. 5+2 is alright not guaranteed, but still doable since Grave digger can be used on the move. Though 5 and 3/4 combo well, nightfall hurts and blinds and the 3 builds up LF nicely while stacking vuln to synergies with Decimate Defenses assuming you take it over the other 2 traits.

Mercenary Suggestion

Merc Amulet was too strong compared to other amulets. Ask yourselves when would you ever pick up a amulet like carrion, rabid, sinister, or even wanderer When you can have Merc which gave everything condi/hybrid could want in stats aside from precision.

Reapers got around the precision/crit barrier with Decimate Defenses, and Deathly Perception.

Condi Chrono doesn’t even need precision unless you’re running a old mesmer build with pistol and Dueling. Layer on the fact that on top of more defensive stat without any real loss of damage, they have distortion/blurr, blocks, blinks, condi clear and heals on shatter, that’s even more fallback.

The Skull Grinder warrior build doesn’t need precision either most of the application of bleeds come from Geomancy Sigil, and Body blow proc or sword (depends if the build is M/sh LB or M/Sh Sw/T) and confusion from Distracting Strikes proc and Skullgrinder. Burn is easily from torch/LB and Zerkers F1, also depends if you’ve taken Kings of Fire over Bloody Roar. The only time you’d need more precision is if you’re running a arms warrior to get the most out of your bleed on critical trait.

Fix Chronomancer For The Sake Of Community

I normally play either power shatter or a power, power block rupt chrono, when I play mesmer. Given that the condi meta build has been more of a thorn in my side, I went about playing it to understand it better. The build is idiot proof with merc amulet and all. The build just requires 2 clones/phantasms you can smash your face on your shatters and win your 1v1 or 1vX without much concquence since IR+ Chronopantasma gives about fullstrength shatters almost every time, can’t kite the clones either since superspeed shatters. Power shatter was much more skillful because there was a risk of actually getting killed. I think people that are saying this build is skillful is full of it, considering all the tankiness passive and fall backs it has.

Being able to move while casting Trueshot would be one hell of a buff for Roaming/Duelling Guards. I don’t think it will happen, since guards and DH are on the nerf list of Anet.

At this point I think if we get nerfed again, Guardian will become the equivalent to the LoL meme of Irellia. Chronomancer OP? Better nerf Guardian.

How to make true shot supbar in pvp

How to make True Shot okay would be to have it be able to use while moving instead of rooting or giving back about 10% of the damage. Also Hunters Ward needs a shorter cast time and lower recharge if it’s going to be kept in the state it’s in.

At this rate though I’m expecting it might get a minor shaving before S3 starts, just because max stacks give about on par or slightly greater numbers when compared to Healing Signet, so effectively it’s another healing signet, and since everyone runs Berserker It’s going to be easy to upkeep AH since a 10 Adren bar in Zerker mode counts as 30, and CDs are short enough where they can be sorta spammable.

This is a pretty big buff to sustain with this patch. Add some toughness and it takes good hard focus to bring you down. assuming you run out of things like Endure Pain, Shield Stance, Etc. Old Adrenal Health used to tick once every 3s based on how full Adrenaline was, now it ticks every second. When you land a burst skill. Old AH used to conflict with Cleansing Ire, as in you trade your passive sustain for condi clear, now you get to have both, and keep it up consistently.

Can’t help but feel like this is just overreaction.

You’ve been playing with the changes for a day, it’s way too soon to call failure. Especially since the 20% to Trueshot was the only nerf the Guardian got, among a few buffs. Yes Mesmer (and Rev) was unchanged when it deserved to be nerfed, but only because their grass is greener doesn’t mean that Guard is trash.

I can only imagine what you would do if you mained Warrior.

Only nerf? Hunter’s Ward got rekt too amongst other things, It’s dodgeable and the rings it creates only affects those hit by it. Pre patch it used to create rings even if you dodged it, and it affected everyone else as well. And TS damage was a tad higher in Beta, and people also said that TS was lacking.

If you think some people are overreacting go and play LB on DH with Zerker Amulet. Watch as Protection and other classes face tank True Shot like nothing, for measly 2-5k crits based on protection and mitigation, or just completely null it with projectile hate. It’s basically not worth using now, and puts you in more danger than the enemy.

coman, longbow +traps was op, most guardians run this. This stuff needs to be done, want to see it done on other classes aswell.

It should of been done to the traps, and not the longbow, 10% on Longbow nerf was expected, not a whopping 20%. There are some guards like me who still run full medi over full trapper. LB TS can be reflected/blocked/softened, layered traps can insta down people without a form of invuln or block at their disposal.

Really, I appreciate it that AA on guard is now better dps on at least 3 of our weapons than the skills that have cool downs. I thought guardian was a little too hard to play before. I really needed the decision to use True Shot taken away from me.

Guess we are back to press 1 guild wars. There’s a reason no one is playing guardian outside of the lower tiers. But by all means buff mesmer, ignore CS + moa, and let’s buff eles too.

Stop the crying. Guardian is fine. Traps are basically untouched and that’s where mostly all of guardians damage is coming from. How can you complain about being able to stack traps and potentially 100 to 0 a player?

Not to mention the extraordinary amount of block uptime guards have and invul.

DH traps should of got the cut cause that’s where a lot of the complaints were coming from. Now LB just basically got trashed in usability for other builds that aren’t trappers. The Hunters Ward nerf I can understand and I’m okay with it, I was expecting True Shot to get nerfed by at most 10% or a CD increase, but they completely neutered it and made it worse than beta TS. A rooted, charged up single shot, against projectile hate and Damage Mitigation stacking/Protection, running berserkers amulet on a guard I’ve only been hitting for 2-3k on crit against people with protection. Glass without protection in light armor hits about 5k+ at the most.

I was expecting True Shot nerf by at least 10%, though 20% is really overboard, I think they made it weaker than Beta DH TS. It really wasn’t TS that was the problem if anything they should of nerfed the traps damage because that’s where the main complaint of spikes were coming from. Now I get to enjoy watching TS hit for pennies against Protection/Percent Damage Mitigation, and projectile hate with a gd Zerker Amulet no less.

I reached Legendary this season just because it was a lot more enjoyable to play matches, though last season I aimed for Ruby just because the meta and all the gd loop holes in season 1, kinda just made me not want to go beyond that. Not worth the headache..

-Bunker meta
-People from higher divisions teaming up with ambers and emeralds to get easier games
-Facing full premades in solo queue
-MMR tanking

I hate Shiro

Idk Man Shiro feels like the back bone of a lot of builds in PVP, The heal adds Damage to your attacks and heals you,. Then there’s the no CD Stunbreak/Distance Maker and Impairment Condi removal with Endurance refill(essentially Roll for initiative), and a really low CD gap closer. Paired with Blocks and evades from weapons, there’s many ways to straight up avoid things that would otherwise kill you.

Precision Strike Nerf: Inc CD to 5s

Sooo let me get this straight.

You guys mind been hit for 8-9k by precision strike

But you are perfectly fine getting shot for 10k+ by true shot on similar cooldown by DH?

Makes kittening sense yo.

Also before complaining about revenant, try playing one. See how many kills you make and how many times you die. You are bad on it and you are bad against it.

Just facts of life.

P.S: Necromancers are a lot more powerful than revenants.

I play Rev but main guard.

TS needs a target and it roots you with clear animation, and hitting for 8k-10k true shots requires a Berserkers Amulet leaving you with 11k Health to deal with pressure.

Precision Strike can hit . for upwards 6-8k assuming all projectiles crit and it’s with a gd marauders amulet against said squishy classes. Always normally combo’d as Enchanted Daggers->Phase Traversal-> Surging Mists/Precision Strike/Unrelenting assault->Legend Swap Hydromancy/Equilibrium proc mid UA. There’s also the really funny thing about it is I can be running away from someone and use it and have all three projectiles fire behind me without stopping. Also can be used against stealth.

As it stands now Precision strike needs a shave, a medium shave but at least make it so all three projectiles are going to the same target with chance of body blocking. Granted Scrapper, Reaper, and The new Chrono build need some work first.

My Amber to Legendary Experience

Just hit legend, diamond tier 5-7 was a 3 week long grind. Ruby was relatively smooth.

This meta is definitely a lot more forgiving towards DH/Guards than season 1 was. Not many people know this but Meditrapper DH is pretty much a hardcounter to Reapers with marauder amulet.

Guardian is definitely viable as a 5th, just avoid the 1v1s with scrappers and power revs and don’t linger too long in team fights with a tempest.

This is true, I hit Legendary last sunday. T6-T7 was absolutely brutal for me because I would get 1 pip away from legend multiple times and then lose by 10-20 points, and fall down some. A great majority of my games I played full medi DH, but other games I’ve swapped to Ele or Necro when needed.. It’s true that DH hardcounters Reapers, especially with Hunters Fortification slotted, even at times I feel I can fight condi mesmers as long as I don’t play within their range.. Marauders is nice though Berserkers Amulet which is generally a lot riskier, packs a much more meaningful punch to your damage pressure and true shots. From amber to ruby was smooth sailing, and I’ve see some of you guys around in my games,

Precision Strike

I do like the change with Precision Strike though there’s things that need to be fixed to make it actually acceptable. It needs to work on downed players.. It also needs to prioritize players and not shoot off at nearby stationary things….like houses….crates…etc. Possible fix for this is have all three projectiles fire off but after/if they hit, they can bounce once to a nearby foe(if present) for a lesser amount.

I have 21 characters. Getting the 5 shared slot is great if you have copper fed salvage/Mystic/Silver Fed kits, portal stones, Portable Mystic Forge, etc w.e you may use across all characters. If you’re not a alt heavy person this is pretty overpriced(still a bit over priced for my taste, even though I bought them), and if you bought multiple of a gem store item like copper fed, anything over the 1st one you bought became useless. Across 21 characters and possibly more in the future it’s very useful.

If you didn’t see it coming then I don’t know what to say, pretty much every E-spec will be touched. Though that doesn’t mean the incoming nerfs are not going to come with some buffs to other core guardian things…like signets and shouts. The one wishful thing would be spirit weapons rework.

DH trap daze Unblockable?

Test of Faith with the daze on trap trigger. Test of Faith itself is instant and unblockable, aside from that, everything else is blockable.

Obviously in a heat of the fight you do not care too much about the fragments of Aegis on the ground but I saw you dodge actually away from your buffs… Is this on purpose (for saving them for later use)?

I don’t actively run into the fragment of aegis because I’ve found them extremely unreliable, sometimes I run over them and don’t get aeigs. o.O [maybe they are better now?]

It isn’t that it isn’t reliable. You only pick up fragments when you don’t have Aegis, and in some cases when you’re on top of one and you lose Aegis, you have to move off of it and back onto it to pick it up again. Though anyways excellent clips.

Defiant stance

Unless they stealth nerfed Defiant Stance it should work on conditions. I know before I used to pop it when I got smacked with 7 stacks of burn and I’d heal to full. Also to be honest I’d be up for Defiant stance getting a bigger base heal, in a sense it’s be like a esque Shelter skill. Infused light I think should of had a cast time instead of being instant as well considering the additional effect that is the Facet heal gets with a pulsing regen boon when you don’t use infused light.

How to stop the reliance on meditations

There isn’t anything flawed here … we aren’t going to get additional options that are at the same level of performance while medi heals are are strong as they are. I have to question your MMO PVP experience and how stupid you think players actually are as well … If Anet buiffed before adjusting medi, you would just see people doing medi + whatever they buffed, reducing options even further.

Players aren’t stupid. Just look at what happened with burning and Medi … now we have burning/medi as the meta instead of just medi. What do you suggest they buff next to add a third element to that meta? No sir, it’s not MY logic that isn’t working here. IF we want more options in PVP builds, things have to go before other things start coming.

Everyone uses Medi because it’s about the only utility set that’s fun and effective to use. Half our utilities are pretty bad. (Signets, Spirit Weapons, half of the consecration utilities.) So really the only builds people will run are either Meditations, or Shouts. Shouts aren’t fun because it’s just gain boons when you press this. So really nerfing meditations is not going to do much about the current situation where everyone resorts to meditation. You just limit our options by doing so. In exchange for buffing a passive/active VoR? That’s a bad idea.

Very happy with the shield changes. There will be a lot more synergy with Aegis traits now just because of the team and self aegis application on 4. Shield 5(SoA) will now be on par with Engi’s Shield 4, better for pushing into fights where there are projectiles flying around. Being interruptible is fine, people seem to forget we have some pretty decent stability access (SYG, IC,), and from the looks of it you don’t have to keep it up for the full 4 seconds meaning you could pop it for a heal.

I’m looking forward to Tuesday, I wonder what they’ve done with Radiant Retaliation and Perfect Inscriptions, if they did do anything with them. Gj anet!

I’m happy about the fact that I can actually use shield on some of my guardians now. Also DH isn’t as bad anymore with the coming changes. My only real gripe with the specialization now is the poor minor choices and SoJ needing to pulse cripple as well if you have it traited(tether). Traps are another story, though I’ve just accepted it’s what we’re getting.

BWE 3 Dragonhunter Specialization Changes

Everything looks very good now! Though still the issues of the minors being made a bit better.

Defender’s Dogma – Still think this needs to be changed just because it will really only work well with one or two abilities which would be Shield of Wrath and Shield of Courage. The most you’ll get out of the trait is maybe 2-3 procs of Defender’s Dogma, and shelter will work once because it’s a channeled block. if possible I think it would work better to refresh Spear of Justice with a ICD or keep the passive.

Pure of Sight – Still think this should be changed and merged with Heavy light for Longbow builds to compete with the other grandmasters.

Spear of Justice/Zealot’s Aggression – This is in a good spot now though with the coming changes coming to Zealot’s Aggression would it be possible for the tether from Spear of Justice to apply cripple periodically as well when you take Zealot’s Aggression? I think that would be fair.

Now for traps discussion. If we’re still trying to make Condi Dragon Hunter still a thing I suggest adding one more base condition effect with the traps.

Fragments of Faith – In addition to cripple adding weakness to a defensive trap support trap like this well help this trap out decently. Acting as a condition cover and a damage mitigator.

Light’s Judgement – On top of vulnerability and Reveal I think this trap should probably pulse blind.

Test of Faith – This one is pretty simple, on top of cripple and direct damage for crossing the ring, for condition build add about 3 stacks of torment for 6s would make it pretty good.

Procession of Blades – Bleeds on every hit this trap does would make it decent for condition specs.

Dragon’s Maw – To fit the theme of the skill as well as Guardian/Dragonhunter, On top of slow, apply a stack of burn every second they stay stuck inside with each stack lasting kitten .

That’s about it for my suggestions, and good work improving Dragonhunter.

Looks good Karl. Though there are also some things that still need to be addressed.

Traits -

Defender’s Dogma – This trait isn’t doing much, and it kind of makes you not want to use your Spear of Justice. When you use spear this doesn’t do anything for you and in some cases this trait does not really feel any sort impactful. Suggestion for it to work better would be to have Spear of Justice retain it’s passive after so it feels like a decent minor that does something. The other suggesting for this would be to rework it to refresh Spear of Justice when you block while attaching a ICD to it. Say 15 or 20 second ICD sounds fair. As it stands now though the current state of this trait is pretty much nothing.

Pure of Sight – This shouldn’t be a minor. If anything attached to Heavy Light for Longbow based builds.

Heavy Light – Just talking about this trait, the knockback is really random, and you can’t control the knockback. For me personally and other guardians we’d probably like to see this function moved towards ability like True Shot. So it isn’t just a random short knockback from time to time. not to mention it’s going to be competing with Big Game Hunter which is a pretty decent damage mod, and a Hunter’s Fortification which pretty much everyone will most likely use for 1 condi removal every time you block on a 1s cd, that’s strong.

Hunter’s Fortification – The trait is strong though the damage reduction if you have no condi should be tweaked a bit. As it stands right now, this damage reduction will pretty much be non existant because there are so many things that will inflict 1 condition. Auto Attacks, AoE, passive traits etc, you’ll never be condition free for more than 3s. My suggestion would be to have a threshold before the damage reduction disappears. Something like something like 3 conditions would make this function well.

-Skills-
Wings of Resolve – Looks fairly decent, though just one or two things I’d like to maybe see added. Evade for the duration of the skill, and a range increase. Don’t know why but it feels sort of short. Though evade on WoR will help with clutch situations.

Condi players are climbing on the MMR ladder

Just going to throw this out there, power damage gets flat out reduced by protection, weakness and armor. You can stat build to basically resist all power builds. Condition damage builds are countered by cleanse and resistance(Don’t mention resistance because only warriors who pop sig get this and mesmers with TE and glamors too.) and specific skills like Berserker Stance and DS. Vitality isn’t a condi counter only to Condi builds either since Direct damage also affects this too. It also goes to saying condition damage also utilizes 5 damaging sources that makes it harder for smaller cleanses to remove relieve damage pressure, and makes it even harder when there are other impairment conditions. Sometimes your condition removal won’t clear that 6 to 11 stacks of bleed you have ticking away at you meaning you’ll have to use a bigger clear.

Spvp wise conditions aren’t taken because it’s a game mode about capping nodes and gaining points for the team. There will also be the variable of team AOE condi removal. Conditions also take time to do their damage when you need to kick the guy off the point Asap. The other thing that condi builds are pretty decent at are bunker breaking. Some of the cheesey condi builds like PU mesmers that don’t see play in spvp is because of stealth affecting capping. Can’t hold a point nor contest, nor are you doing group fights a favor.

WvW – Dire, Perplexity, and 40% food exists.

Health keeps going up build

If it was using medi skills it’s possible a medi bunker with healing power and specced with honor to make use of the heal on dodge. If not it’s and he’s using shouts then it’s probably the old healway build that existed shortly after launch but fell out of popularity cause you would not kill anything except players that are somewhat new. Or it might be a AH healway build too.

Unrelenting Assault is massively OP

When i played Rev, it’s true there’s counter play to UA, though with a Shiro/Glint Set up, I can preemptively counter this before hand by using Gaze of Darkness for reveal before UA. Swap to Shiro stance and use the Jade Wings before UA. I can pretty much insta gib thieves this way unless they expend all dodges, and other dodge skills. Mesmers are a different story just because clones take fragments of the damage your target would take due clones being another RNG target choice. Shiro DPS revs are also really strong in trading when you have turn impossible odds on, and there’s so much fall back on Glint’s heal, which is a way better version of Warrior’s Defiant Stance.

Add burn to a sword

idk I still like Sword as a power based weapon. It has some good utility behind it such as gap closer with blink as well as projectile protection with ZD. Tbh the thing I really would want for sword would probably be fixing the end chain of sword being not reflectable, or Vuln stacking for each hit. Mainly the end chain not being reflectable because I’m tired of AA in melee and having a class like mesmer or Warrior and others that have reflect options throwing up their reflects and making my end chain get thrown back at me multiple times or me having to completely halt my DPS in melee until the chain resets.

1k gems for... an OUTFIT?!

It is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I’d have considered getting it since yes, it does look nice on certain races. But for 1000 gems? Good luck with that one, Anet.

The chef outfit has the same idea in that every race is unique and it is priced like any other outfit at 700 gems. Why they priced this one 300 gems higher is beyond me.

That outfit wasn’t even originally a outfit to begin with. It was part of the old town clothing system, iirc it’s the same price as it alway has been(imagine if anet raised the price of currently existing items. How much rage would be exploding out of these forums?). When they removed the old system, it became a outfit. The Chef outfit is also the same outfit between male and female, but differs in race. The Wedding outfit has a different attire between male and female of every race. I don’t mind it costing a bit more just because it’s pretty much ten outfits in one.

Mesmer doesn’t need anymore reductions. Eles being “OP” (eh, no problems) stems from burn damage being a bit over the top. I speak as a power Necro on a the matter.

The only things for mesmer that should happen is a supposed bug fix for The Pledge giving more cooldown then what it states(as some have posted in their sub forums) and/or PU getting reverted back to where it was pre-patch.

uhh, as far as i recall the tribal armor was never, ever “legally” available in game. Those who obtained it in pvp was because of a bug that made the “spvp version” of the “masquerade armor” take the form of the tribal armor when equiped, the tribal armor was never in the old wardrobe list, it was obtained trough this bug, so those whining because they worked hard for it are actually admiting that they intentionally worked hard to use the bug and obtain an armor that wasnt mean to be released yet. as Anet said it themselves in a post at the time, so this was never a “heirloom” “rare drop” “limited edition” item as people claim it was

anyway, as allready mentioned Joey allready said the armor will be added in the future, and the tempest in the PoI video might be a hard imply that will be available in HoT, maybe as a tempest reward track since it fits both the specialization and the jungle theme of the expantion

Wut. The armor set has been in the game since launch under that name, saying that its a bug how it was acquired is kind of dumb, I doubt if it wasn’t meant to be released Anet would have let it sit in game for as long as it did. When people say they earned it they mean they played PVP for it for a good amount of time, since back then rank gain was much slower, and rewards weren’t really good compared to PVE. The only way someone could even get any of the tribal pieces in the first place is if they salvaged tiger ranked armor with Spvp salvage kits, for Tiger tokens and then toss that in the MF with other crafting components.

Like I said I’m all for having the set return, but don’t call out everyone who PVP’d for it back with the old system bug exploiters. It makes you look like really salty about people who have the set. Also when the wardrobe change hit the name of the set was corrected, since they pretty much fused PVE and PVP skins together and having 2 armor sets named Masquerade wouldn’t work. It’s only prestigious now because the only way to get it was through Spvp in the old system. Now that it’s gone there’s no other way to get it and it’s been unavailable since then. It will probably be in HoT as you said but my hopes when they release it is through Spvp rewards.

while i was pvping you were pveing and earned your Wings of the Sunless,
i guess its a little unfair that i wasn’t given that, Anet should mail me it…

please folks stop trying to get the very few old rare heirloom items made commonplace.
there isn’t much of value in this game, legendaries are all over the place, go to lions arch you’ll see 20 people with Twilight.
the Tribal set is one of the few things that i’m happy i have because of its scarcity.
you folks just want everything to be worthless and commonpool.

Lol earned Tribal set. The tribal pvp skin was pure RNG, don’t act like you earned kitten.

If you were around back before the Wardrobe changes you would know you had to earn it, it took a bit of research to learn the recipes. By earn it, I mean you had to reach tiger rank. From there the only RNG aspect was to toss Tiger ranked tokens with other materials that costed glory in which you get various armors. Not to mention getting to Tiger rank took a good investment of time in PvP. I’m all for having it return, but in HoT it should return as a high level pvp reward if anything.

Even though there’s only a slim chance of getting a actual expansion of useful traits and build variety. I’m just going to post more ideas that have been floating in my head so hopefully some devs might take some ideas into consideration if they browse these forums. Just mind you i do these on my spare time when i feel like doing them. So here they are.

Trait line changes.
Zeal: Binding Jeopardy moved to Radiance, Reworked Zealous Scepter(Could still be moved elsewhere cause symbol minors have no synergy with scepter what so ever)

Radiance: Binding Jeopardy taking the place of OHS, OHS moved to Master Tier. Reworked Retribution in Grandmaster.

Valor: Swap Stalwart Defender(Shield trait) with Strength of the Fallen.

Honor: Swap Protective Reviver with Empowering Might.

Virtues: Unchanged.
