50/50 GWAMM x3
I quit how I want
But this is a video game, Anet isn’t losing anything by letting the people take over the guild after the leader gets banned. This is a video game not the real world, so your statement doesn’t really matter in this situation.
Part of me wonders if you appealed a ban and groveled, begging for forgiveness and swearing never to do it again….if they’d unban you. Assuming it was your first offense, I mean.
No.
Honestly, look at yourselves. How in God’s green earth is it “fair” to penalise hundreds of people for the failings of one individual? They’re disappointed human beings, not “fruits of labor” that belonged to some guy.
This community is a mindbogglingly degenerate cesspit that surpasses even the WoW Community forums with its wanton nastiness. Some of you would actually rather mindlessly lick a company’s boots than have some sympathy for your fellow player. What a disgrace.
This along with ArenaNet’s recent spree of bans for making money off crafting (crafting is supposed to be profitless then I guess? lolwut) has really been the final nail in the coffin. I’m out.
They want to get the title legendary fanboi, but seriously arenanet will no way in hell give this guys account back to demote himself, they just don’t work that way. Either he gets his account back or the guild suffers/dies because of it. Even though I remember a dev saying that people should “get it while it’s hot” with these trinkets yielding a profit before the update that fixed this so called exploit. We’re lucky that is Anet’s support, NCsoft is much worse.
When they were developing the game a couple years ago they posted this pic, def the hottest character I’ve seen in a video game…and I’m female >.>
Agreed with Hickeroar – but spam the phuck out of them until they give in and give the help that they are HERE TO GIVE. I’m really getting sick of this lazy, apathic attitude from this company – just as bad as EA/Bioware debacle….
You better have a lot of email accounts set up, they give warnings that they’ll stop responding to your emails after the 5th or so one :P
Anything that makes a profit other than buying gems from the store w/real money is considered exploiting.
No. I was looking forward to play a necromancer like in GW1 but they ditched all the mechanics that made me love this class.
Exactly what I think about mesmer, pretty disappointing from having 4,000hours+ on my GW1 mesmer and having about 10 hours on my GW2 mesmer…yeah >.>
About the thread, no I don’t have any that fit my play style. :/
I have yet to do 5 jumping puzzles since I bought this game…I think it gives most people an opportunity to do them for the first time, btw they are almost always EASY.
You have no right to swear in this game, it’s against the agreement you, yes yourself agreed to. You can’t get mad or say it’s unfair that you got banned for swearing and/or cybering which I’m guessing that’s what they got banned for. Your character does not have an exception do this rule even though you think that they should.
You are role playing a character, yes the storyline is role playing (I’m not actually killing zhaitan, my character is…that’s role playing) Not pretending and writing lore and actually “talking” to people using my characters personalities, the developers developed the storyline to be role played, so yeah I role played killing zhaitan, and helping trehearne on his adventures.
It’s my personal opinion that people who role play inappropriate (cybering/swearing constantly) do not get a get out of jail free card because they are playing a character they made up and not the developers themselves. This is a 12+ video game, be aware of that before you start making inappropriate statements. People who develop and roleplay their character outside of the storyline are taking the “RP” in MMORPG a little too seriously.

Easy way to never get banned for inappropriate language: Never type ever, not even to friends, make names like: alabnofabogbao, don’t rez anyone who is dead/downed, make sure to have a juvenile brown bear with a default human ranger female face/hair.
The rewards are bad…Pact weapons are nasty, not even max…they can’t even give us an exotic..I played with my friend throughout the story line and we were so excited to see what we would get in the gifts thinking we’d get 2 exotic weapons/armor…instead get lvl 80 greens. We haven’t completed storyline since.
More people playing during the holidays it is to be expected. Even though they are mostly antisocial, they are still there.
If you try to get your money back, they won’t give it back. The guy who scammed you keeps the money. I think most people understand not to mail people gold with the high possibility of getting nothing in return. This is why you only trade with people you’ve known for a long time. Go on the TP bid low, and hope your order gets filled. It’s common sense to use the TP, like most people have pointed out in this thread.
Shade #3, the cool parts of the armor stand out more
Everyone below level 30 fractals is a complete NOOB! We should have the devs force these noobs to play hello-kitty-online cuz that’s the only thing they are good at! Stupid noobs don’t know what AR is or how to dodge silly silly stupid noobs that are lower than level 30 fractals. Why should I let them join my group? I am in it for myself and only myself! These noobs are noobs, they’ll never get any higher that lvl 20 fractals… (and that’s nooby!) what free loaders, the devs need to rework fractals, this update is gonna be so bad for us pro-leet-awesome-sauce lvl 30+ fractalerz!! AR FTW!!!
No because if the bots weren’t banned that means them farming armored scales for how many months with stacks and stacks of scales…will not raise the price. If they do a massive wave of ban hammers do bots then I’d say buy your armored scales. Got my order filled in about 2 minutes after ordering…so yeah >.>
Ele/Necro are good in PvE. Ele takes a bit more skill in lower levels but once you get to level 80/fully geared everything will be a cake walk. Ele you have to constantly switch attunements, which will be confusing and frustrating at first but when you get the pattern down and know the skills, it’ll seem like a reflex more than looking for the right skill to use. Lots of their skills are situational and require lots of understanding of what it does and when to use it (same goes for mesmer).
Mesmer is good for mostly WvW and PvP, I don’t use mine much outside of PvP. Mesmers deal with clones and illusions, if you like seeing more of your character and confusing others this is the best profession for you. (Yes people get fooled by clones, I’d say about 90% of the time even with some bugs.) Enemy NPCs are not fooled by clones, they still attack you almost 100% of the time.
I think necro is the most friendliest profession since it provides so much survivability with it’s high health pool. You won’t be doing OVER 9000 damage but you’ll be able to tank multiple enemies, probably can handle 3-6 at a lower level and 5+ at level 80 no problem.
Didn’t mean to write a wall of text. TLDR= Necro is the easiest for newcomers
I play both on lower level alts. But for PvE…I’ve never felt so OP on any profession as I do with a Necro. Mobs just fall before that class like wheat to a scythe. Once you learn a bit how to play it.
Scepter/dagger with Staff & Wells…no minions.
I agree 100%… NO MINIONS! they are so bad… I go UGGGGG every time I see a necro with them……….Like sig of the hunt for rangers, only it takes up all utility skills >.>
Necro is kind of like guardian in the respect that they are pretty hard to kill when used right. I think thief takes more skill to be effective, you always have to be aware of your surroundings and health bar. I think if you want easy mode go with necro S/D and Staff. But you’ll be doing mostly condition damage, for example when I use scepter I hit for about 300-500 damage but do a lot of condition damage… I mean A LOT.
Can’t say much about thieves other than, you gotta know the profession and know how to get out of stressful situations without dying. They do lots of damage but in return die a lot easier.
TBH if I was doing a dungeon run, I would pick a necro over a thief any day because of their survivability.
I don’t know how to say it other than “No”…
They said a long time ago they wouldn’t be adding in anything to change your race (and have repeated it multiple times).
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Request-Race-Change/first#post411251
Glad you can stalk the forums more than most of us.
I think it has to do with more of the dungeon problems and less to do with the drops of lodestones. Take CoF and molten lodestones: everyone runs CoF…most people farm CoF hence, lots of molten lodestones on the market. CoE…no one runs it, no one even remotely farms it so no charged lodestones on the market. Change dungeons, change the availability of lodestones.
This is a small problem, the biggest problem is manipulating the precursor price by those people who exploited cultural weapons and have multiple precursors of each. I hope they implement that scavenger hunt to get precursors they talked about, what a slap in the face to these exploiters..a good slap in the face.
I think they should add race changes for people level 40+ or something (where the race storyline doesn’t matter).
It could be like creating your character all over again, but this time in the race you want. And for cultural armors just add a vendor that switches armor pieces to the correct race. Example: Norn changes into a human and has T3 cultural armor, the T3 norn cultural chest piece can be exchanged for a T3 human cultural chest piece and so on. It’s not hard, and it would be bring loads of money to ANet.
I would love to switch my sylvari mesmer to a norn mesmer…not worth losing 20g+ in dyes though, so please add this
Convert your gold into gems…
You don’t think your the best player in the game, yet you want an achievement point leader-board…riiiiiiiiiiiight
In America we have plenty
The moot does seem bad, because it’s appearance is so dull. Are its effects bad?
No it’s nice, very bright and shiny like a disco ball.
Yeah.. if all lodestones would increase in drop rate but charged lodestones need special attention. I think that they should steadily be at 1g a piece, I think that would be fair…not 4g+ a piece
Love this mini game, a lot of fun with people who know what they’re doing. I found it quite easy if your whole team works together. Not sure which is more fun, the JP or this.
Yes somebody has way more 15k to be exact http://i.imgur.com/WhKBR.jpg
15k achievement points and no legendary, says a lot.
No real achievement other than salvaging
Favorites: #1. Meteorlogicus #2. Howler #3. Bolt
Least Favorites: Minstrel, Sunrise, Frostfang (looks almost exactly like the corrupted axe)
They were always like this… people who have legendaries most likely bought the materials to make it…Really the ONLY had to do 100% world completion…and 500 WvW badges/Dungeon tokens…It was never hard to get those things. Just join a huge guild and they’ll have a portal mesmer do it for you everyday or daily guild runs…nothing took skill…just money. If you never saw that in the first place…>.>… is all I have to say to you
Maybe it’s someone on your block list talking? If not…no idea why that happens
Awesome, thanks for tell us! I made a horrible mistake making my mini doll first…got the frame from the vendor, first try I got an endless!! WEEEE IMA PRINCESS
Depends on what you’re doing, I find MF annoying, especially because the people I know that use it don’t really understand how it “works” like they think getting a good drop from a chest is because of their 100% magic find or whatever. And TBH they suck at dungeons…
Don’t like it, don’t see the point, just update drops so everyone can win.
Sometimes vistas bug, sometimes you bug and are always in combat. Go to character select log back in, bam, view your vista.
There is a vista in orr that I did yesterday on my ele and the “steps” were not there, like disappeared, I looked on youtube to memorize the jumps, and I was able to get it. It’s a bugged vista if there is no moving map on your screen, so you’ll be unable to click that “view (F)”.
So, my wife and I have played GW2 since beta, and we have had a lot of fun. But now we are starting to see the game for what it actually is : Pay-to-win. A friend of ours started to play and was level 80 in 5 days, because he used $ to buy trade-skill mats to level up. This really made our level 80s seem pretty pointless, because it was then obvious that you can basically “buy” a level 80.
Now there are legendary weapons showing up on the trading post. We are very unhappy with this development. It seems most modern MMOs are all pay to win these day, with their cash-shops and the ability to buy coin. We long for the good old days of an even play field, no matter your standing in real life. I am now starting to look elsewhere for another MMO, even sub-based, with NO real life influence on your character. I worry that those days are over, and my enjoyment of MMO gaming is coming to an end.
It’s not buy to win, you are saying it’s buy-to-get-to-lvl-80. Legendaries on the trading post are just a joke, no one will ever buy it, people are just trying to anonymously show off their money/legendary which makes 0 sense. And really…legendaries were always using gold to get it, 250 of all t6 mats + more? Who will get these materials just by farming? No one. The drop rate for lodestones? No one can/ will farm this…
I posted about this earlier. It’s happened to my group more than once also. Basically what do we do? Abandon the Toxx fight and run stand by the chest area?
Yup
Spending all your hours grinding for that 1 legendary weapon, lets say you are a warrior playing with a GS/Rifle and you are getting twilight, well you are playing hundreds of hours with the same build, that greatsword…. you get twilight…you’re still playing that same build, Why wouldn’t you put it on another character?
Wait to see what is happening with the scavenger hunt which should be coming in these coming months. Unless they scrapped it and didn’t tell us. >.>
I’m not wasting my money on the outrageous priced precursors, either should you(unless you are getting the minstrel/rodgort/the underwater weapons then I say go for it). They are trying to fix the way you acquire them, or make it slightly possible to get the precursor you want w/o buying it from TP.
LOL@Gamespot….every single experienced PC gamer knows gamespot are terrible, did you see the other nominees, and the lack of some seriously good PC games ?
This like a kindergarten teacher voting the new Audi “car of the year” because its a pretty colour…….absolutely worthless award from a worthless source..
Omgzzz, it was stiff competition I mean likez halo 4 or w/e. GW2 wouldz definitely have won against halo 4 if it actually was considered a PC game. The Walking Dead makes me laugh as well…
subscription fees : Seriously?
Absolutely. You know what you are playing for. If the game turn to the direction you don`t like anymore, you stop paying. That actually makes developers take a notice of the ingame problems they can easily ignore in the game that require only initial payment. That is why I personally think monthly sub would be better for GW2.
If you start playing a subscription fee game, then you should know that the grind train stops at every station and it’s the only way to get around. You will only encourage more grind. I obviously can’t back up my statement with any hard evidence (since I can’t predict the future duh) but from experience of playing sub fees games, better get ready to go choo choo because we’re all going to be chasing the dragon…
If your worry is the developers not taking notice of your gems purchase (AKA the GW2 equivalent of a subscription fee)…trust me they do, any semi-decent company keeps a really good eye on their finance, how much is coming in and how much is coming out. If players stop purchasing gems, the devs will notice. Just saying.
Do you even know what a dev is? The devs have nothing to do with gems. Just saying.
If I say publisher, does that make it better for you ?
Devs/Anet/NCsoft whatever….is that all you could retain from the discussion ? If your goal was to be condescending, you were. Congratu-well done !
Did you know this was an MMO? MMOs are require some “grind” or “progression” it’s what an MMO is…if you want no grind the best thing to do is to get a xbox/ps3/wii there is no grind with those.
Developers make the game btw
Dog? Dog = Not enough time to play?
Well you have to feed it twice a day…thats 20 minutes. You have to let it out side every few hours that’s 10 minutes. You have to walk it, take it to the vet, clean it, pet it, snuggle it, brush it’s teeth. That add ups to almost 24 hours
1. Warrior/Guardian/Mesmer
2. Thief
3. Ranger/Ele
4. Necro
5. Wait- there’s a 8th profession? Engineer
Mine is based on PvE and mostly dungeon running. Out of all the runs I’ve done (I do AC all paths, CoF 1/2, TA, HotW, Fractals) I’ve only seen about 5 engineers in my team, now I never see rangers, so their population is decreasing (not including bots).
Necro is no where near ele/mesmer population, how I see it is there is 6 mesmers for every 1 necro playing, 4 eles for every 1 necro playing…
This has to be unintended. Really annoying when you want to create a new character but don’t know which prof yet…
At least 15 mins >.>
I love it as well. I mostly do the jumping puzzle and the new dungeon but I have tried em all and they are fun. I didn’t think they could top GW1 wintersday but they did. Very very happy with how it has turned out
Where do you get new town clothes?
You buy them with gems. I would really love a costume keeper like in GW1
