If you’re a casual player playing a MMO and assume you should get the same rewards as people who play everyday for many hours, you are greatly mistaken. This isn’t an issue, it’s an issue for people who are spending time with their kids/wife and day dreaming of what they could be doing on GW2 instead.

I went on TC for a bit just to “experience” RPers for the first time. I was in wayfarer foothills leveling my mesmer, I see in chat “_ sits.” “_ sits.” So I thought I was gonna encounter roleplayers, I finally find them sitting in a little lake naked, female, blond, big breasts, you name it. They were talking about regrets in their life and how the warm water is getting them relaxed, they continue on to do the “emote” chat and touch each other. That’s when I logged off TC and went back to BG. No matter how much you guys say people are missing out on the immersion GW2 RPers bring…I can’t stand RPers. I felt that they just pretend to be girls all day and cyber each other. Yep….I was right.

So why do you guys get trolled? Everyone gets trolled? You are taking the game too seriously, if someone is trolling you, zone into LA/ heart of the mists, w/e and go offline. I guess that’s too immersion breaking for you.

and if you are going to say it was BEFORE the charge for server change it still wrong.

Before charging for server change it took a week to change servers to hinder WvW server bandwagon problems.

I kind of agree. I wish it was easier to switch between weapons and have proper traits to go with it.

Making content harder will just make it even more painful for the slightly disadvantaged professions we have right now.

I welcome the fractal update as well as the new WP rules for dungeons.

I do want to see how different the Maggs encounter is in CoF, though.

Magg’s path is probably little more realistic for pug groups…would rather not have to die a billion times so I like this update too. I’m glad alpha’s health was reduced…it took about 10 + mins to kill him AND he had heals…

Pacific Time, NA. They are an american company, they operate and will release updates on an american time zone.

-Fixed an animation glitch with necromancers when wielding certain weapons. All weapon damage has been slightly reduced by 60%.

-Increased all well’s recharge time to 120 seconds.

-Minions AI has been improved, now casting any minion spell gives yourself 25 stacks of bleeding for the life duration of the minion.

-Increased the recharge of Consume Conditions to 60 seconds, decreased the healing by 50%. Now only removed 1 condition.

-Blood is power now gives you 15 stacks of might.

Joking Aside, here are my predictions:

When I think of revision I think of mostly redoing everything only 2 professions need a revision imo.
1. Ranger and Necro, they have features that are just too buggy and really need to be reworked especially pet/minion AI. I really hate playing my ranger because my pet annoys me so much by having spazzing out movements especially with speed boosts. Necro, what can I say…when I play my necro I feel like an unloved child.
2. Engineer, they don’t need a revision just a huge major kitten buff. I really like this profession and it’s pretty interesting to play just does so kitten damage and not very good support.
3. Eles- only 1 “viable” build lol? I’m only forced to use staff during boss fights where I need to be far away…scepter erm yeah, would be “kinda” good if anything actually hit the target.
4. Guardians- need more options for long range or just a buff to staff and scepter.

The rest of the professions need minor(major?) buffs to most weapon sets.

New skill updates this month (I think?) As for them getting buffed, I doubt it. It’ll probably be more of skill nerfs for other professions to level the playing field. That being said, I’ve seen some kitten engineers in pvp that are hard as hell to kill. They aren’t all bad…

Engineers are considered bad by many people, sometimes even you’ll get rejected from dungeon/fractal groups. You’ll be fully support and won’t do nearly as much damage as a warrior/thief…any profession really.

If you like playing them, go ahead and play them. Meet good people, join a good guild. If you have a good guild they won’t care what profession you are even if you are considered the weakest.

Hmm how I think the devs look at skill balancing:

Hundred Blades: does about 10k+ damage (I know it’s higher in most cases)
Life Siphon: Lets start out with 12k damage, take 2k off that damage because it does healing, take off 4k because you are mobile, take off 4k because you are somewhat ranged. FIXED, 2k damage.

Lots of skills are like hundred blades for every profession. While I’m not saying to make the damage equal because of something like being mobile, ranged, stealing health would make warriors feel extremely underpowered but at least within reason make these skills do more than 2k damage w/o any boons effecting them.

As a necro, I love feeling like a burden to my group because I know if I would have went warrior, I would have been able to contribute ten fold…

I’m genuinely hurt by what is said by the developers about AoE. I have 2 lvl 80s, I worked very hard on both of them, at least 150 hours on one of them and upwards to 500 on the other. They are my favorite professions to play, my necro being my most preferred play style. I am hurt because as everyone seems to know except for devs is that necro is lacking in a lot of areas… and seem to be ignored in every update. I’m upset because my only viable build is centered around AoE (I’m using Staff/Dagger-Warhorn) It’s not overpowered, compare it to a warrior and it’s completing under powered… I have put in over 600 hours on my necro…they have really extremely bad damage as it is, their condition build is less than subpar and you keep insisting on nerfing anything we have good. I feel necro is almost as left out and forgotten as engineer…Engineer is now a joke in PvE followed by a necro which is a close second… Why don’t you write a blog post that tells us that we should just play warrior and thief because that seems to be your only reasoning.

Yeah, I might be coming to the worst conclusion but have they showed us that we can actually hope for proper balances?

Anet, I don’t want to play a warrior. I don’t want to play a thief. I want to play my necro. I want to use staff whenever I want. You are making dungeons harder and nerfing professions (most likely not on purpose since necros are very much ignored) that do not even remotely deserve it. In my personal view of this, you are making dungeons harder and making skills less effective, are we suppose to pour our heart and soul into 1 dungeon run and maybe get done with 1 path every 1-2 hours? I think most people would love do have 15-30 minute dungeon runs rather than sitting at their computer upwards of 5-6 hours just to get the max reward…

BTW there is only one good (I know, I use that term loosely here) weapon for necro, in dungeons/pve and that is staff. If you don’t know, it has 4 AoE spells.

I get this a lot when I do AC as an ele/necro. All I can say is good luck seeing kholer’s attack when 2 charr/norn warriors are attacking it in melee…thank god for good ol’ mist form aye?

Ele is probably more wanted less squishy when played right than thief. Most people think there is an incoming nerf to eles because people think they are too op. I’d rather have a GOOD ele in my party than a thief.

Scavenger hunt + Achievement tokens = 2 kinds of reward systemS. Again, plural. One we know about but will not include precursors and the other we don’t know about but will include precursors. Whatever happens in between is still up in the air.

So no, there hasn’t been a contradiction by the devs.

Just have a rifle warrior which compensates for 95% of the condition builds out there (for other professions of course).

Point 6 would be my favorite one to be answered before we have to pay for server transfers. A lot of my friends play on EU server and our guild is on NA.

It would be really nice to have NA/EU servers together for guesting/dungeons…just not for WvW. And yeah, I have lots of friends on Eu servers too

Even more incentive to do the dailies… and with the way Colin put it about our previous achievement points, the people who went all out and salvaged their way to their high achievement points will be on par with the rest of us a.k.a most of their points stripped…too bad they wasted a lot of money.

So I’m guessing we’ll be able to get 1 token a day and 10-20 in the monthly?

Hopefully that screenshot they posted in the blog regarding rewards is put into the game on the feb/march patches, would be cruel if they made us wait over 6 months for them. I’m curious in the gear boxes if it’s new cosmetic rewards that only that profession can wear… I would be extremely happy about new cosmetic rewards. Really overall happy about these upcoming features, I really want my achievement points to be worth something other than a number.

Oh and fractal improvements…big problems with disconnecting there. Also, please make the fractal level account wide…please…

There was a thread a long time ago where I guy showed all his lvl 80s, another guy posted his lvl 80s…all 21 of them (no joke he posted screens). I think most of them were thieves except for 7 which were all the professions.

Was never really a fan of my necro in pvp because of all the bad hype about them, I tried this build and I absolutely love it, really effective and it’s the first time I’ve seen over 4k damage done by my necro (not counting fractals) I’ve been having a blast owning people with this build. Thank you

You might get banned eventually if many people report you for the same reason. They’d probably ban your friend (if he was reported via email support) for scamming and that even depends on which GM is reviewing the logs…and what they consider the point of when to punish someone.

This shouldn’t even be discussed all the answers will be “no” if you want to see the body how nature created it there are many many many many many modelling sites that do those sorts of things. If you really can not resist your norn being nude, make a texmod where you can create it’s own texture in those parts, because I know the devs have not.

I got 3 GWAMMs, 2 People Know Mes and countless KOABD’s. I find GW2 a fun game to an extent, I really liked leveling up my necro (first level 80) and some parts of my ele (second level 80). I found pvp in GW2 incredibly boring and only got to rank 10 and stopped because it’s so inactive/ same stuff over and over with antisocial-no team work required gameplay. PvE has become a grind to whoever can get the highest fractal level/shiniest weapons and back pieces. GW1 was like that too, but within reason that mostly everyone who played GW1 regularly could get ( I got all 8 obsidian armors/4 chaos gloves with no farming just played the game and maxed titles on 4 characters.) In GW2 it feels like an eternal grind to get 1 legendary weapon, I haven’t given up on GW2 and Anet, I’m just taking a long break until there is a huge paid expansion that comes out instead of these little tid bits of content that really annoy me.

Craft your own or do map completion, i got 2+ divinity runes doing all the 70+ areas

Also look at dungeon runes, they are sometimes good enough to use. TBH I’d be happy if you just were wearing exotics/crests of the soldier or something like that.

Either do WvW or a dungeon…then get fed up with the annoying 15 year olds playing this game and exit out after 30 mins and go back to GW1 to play my 3rd dervish through nightfall…having fun with VoS/ pious spamming builds. Then I think about going on GW2 after 2-3 days because I like the graphics.

Compared to other mmos if your age is less then 500 and thinking about quitting it, it wasn’t very good. Compared to GW1 I had over 7,000 hours in 7 years and I still actively play it. GW2 I have 400ish hours and maybe play it every 2-4 days (to do a dungeon or two). Not a good investment for me…not good at all

2. Guilds that actually talk, the social aspect of the game in general (I just posted a thread about this).
3. Frequently having to find a party – I know this isn’t supposed to be miss, but it contributes to #2.
4. Capes – added some goofiness.
5. Guild tab interface – how long ago someone logged on, how long ago someone joined, invited by who. General stalker information. (Totally kidding).
6. Ping dot – hovered it with your mouse to see your ping instead of going into options.
7. Lively “all” chat. Seems to only happen sometimes in LA now.
8. More emotes – I hear these are coming soon as well.
9. Districts – I don’t like the server system, but I understand why it’s used.

11. Being able to auto-follow

I agree with you as well, I’ma add a few more things :P

1. “Unique profession feeling” like necros looked demonic, mesmers looked like mistresses, warriors looked like gladiators, dervishes looked like reapers..I like to know which profession everyone is without clicking on them.
2. The music, I would like more variety in GW2
3. More emotes/ “profession based emotes” like eles have ele emotes and no one else but eles can use them… I really miss /flute on my ranger >.<
4. More skills…I like creating my own build, not having one handed to me and never be able to change it

So move it out of LA so what? They can advertise in LA and pay a waypoint cost to get to the new entrance? More people in LA=more chance of people getting a group faster. A dungeon finder would be better for this situation if you want to reduce the spam that comes with not having one.

Karma is pretty worthless to people who don’t want legendaries, have exotic armor, don’t want cultural weapons. I’m all for more use for karma.

Isn’t “constructive” criticism in the eye of the beholder aka Anet? They decide what is the right criticism and what is wrong and who to actually listen to.

This game suffers from WoW players and f2p players. Either a game is a WoW clone or pay2win.

I’m happy they are doing something about the areas that have no players in them, I would especially like some new content in these areas especially dredgehaunt cliffs and timberline falls since those are pretty awesome places to look at. I really like the designers/artists in this game, I think it’s probably the #1 reason I’m still playing this game (I have other reasons).

I’d rather have the stealth you see in Halo, where they are transparent and you can see them if you look hard enough. Especially with the issues already in PvP/WvW regarding culling.
