Yeah remove the AP from GW1. Don’t want to be forced to play that crappy old game(they might want ot make money from this and get people to buy that game and the expansions). There are already the titles and stuff(which I don’t need since there are enough other titles from GW2 only… but that rewards should be enough for GW1 players).
Also cap the points from ALL repeatable stuff – which means cap on dailies also(not only on stuff like Agent of Entropy). This way players starting later also would have a chance to catch up since players that played from the start would reach a cap some day and not always be ahead… and you would be forced to play other parts of the game and get all the permanent achievements(like WvW and sPvP even if you got your 10k+ only from dungeons and PvE and dailies).
It’s a bit too long… have not checked – I hope there are not too many achievements for “winning”(if you can get all the important stuff by just playing it enough then it is okay for me).
Still a bit too long… takes ages to complete 1 run. And isn’t really that fun.

But as I already saw with the newest stuff from Bazaar update I think it is okay if I missed that one… at the newest update instanced dialogue scene it also is obvious he wants her for the council.
Will this be full 1 month until it gets removed(without any new stuff in 14 days)? Cause this seems a lot to do again… would be good if it was like this. Still playing sPvP the new map and have not done anything of the other stuff from Bazaar.
If they remove it from tournament = remove it completely. Hotjoin zerging is boring. All maps not in tournament should be removed completely or they should make seperate queues – tournament queue map pool A, tournament queue map pool B.
The map is made for hot joins not Tourny play. Please remove it from the quene so people who do tournys can do so and enjoy them again. If you want to play the new map go to a custom arena their are tons of them that are 10v10 8v8 5v5.
They also have the other crappy maps like Kyhlo and Foefire(boring) where others can’t enjoy tournaments. So you should be able to deal with a few days of this map only. Be happy: at least it is not at weekend and friday it will rotate again.
I like it. Easier to control that cannon than a Treb. So a bit fun for me(fitting for my engineer) cause I’m bad at Kyhlo.
Can understand that a lot don’t like it cause some classes have more knockback stuff(like engineere).
Still I’d like this and Spirit Watch at tournament(but not Capricorn! ).
Ha ha… using rifle, ram, mine, bomb kit(big ol bomb). Skilled glass cannon(yes we are supposed to use conditions but I like it more with direct damage).
First match on that map I got top score at my team and we were winning(even though a lot of the other team had more individual player score).
I rarely get to 200+ … but that match I controlled the cannon most of the time. Good overwied and when I saw incoming switched to my skills and used also Elite Elixir for this map(hoping for tornado!).

The dance book doesn’t exist in the gem store anymore, in case you looked closer.
They might bring it back in the future. And bring other stuff – dance was not that interesting since the basic dance emotes are already fine(stuff from book is boring).
But more and other stuff would be nice.

I did not talk about bay. Usually I don’t play BL. I meant our keep at EB… there were golems yesterday… and not only 2-3 more like 6-8. And I think we even were outmanned. Even without golems we probably would not have been able to defend. Like at least 3 times more people that attacked.
Anticipating… the problem is that not enough people to stuff like scouting(it is boring… I only know from the same few people that do it and always report enemy movement). Also often at our server a lot of people at EB(I mainly play at EB) try to “roam” and stuff… going for camps somewhere to cap them for few minutes… then we even have queue and only max 30-40 people at commander lol.
Sometimes when we got bigger zerg and a good and fun commander then it is fun. SM was fun… few days ago but too laggy(but good loot bags from those big fights – better than some karma train – also the player kills give some WXP).
Edit: Also I like this thread and matchup still better than other matchup and forums thead against RoS. ;-) And Arborstone still strong… usually the french often take keeps and SM at EB of the stronger server ha ha. I still remember from fight against Augury Rock that pwned us and the other french server(I think Fort Ranik it was) when other french server managed to take SM from them(but was not for long).

Yeah it’s a problem what FSP has more players early morning and afternoon… until evening – it seems. And UW seems more are working until evening and not able to play and even at the evening the queue at EB seems short(if there is a queue)… the last time it was that short(or often no queue) was few weeks back against Augury Rock.
Seems really like a lot of players don’t like to go WvW if there is a real enemy(or they all don’t like that we are red and only go there for map completion and need stuff near the other colors lol).
Of course then also boring then for the other players. I’m bored by all these tower and camp attacking stuff – even with the zerg…. getting old fast. Keep fights are more interesting… but if we don’t have enough to go for the enemy keep and FSP takes our keep only at morning(or by fast golem rush like yesterday where you can’t even react… and not enough online at afternoon)… then it is boring.
Can only hope for some more lagging fights at SM if any commaner is trying again(not often tried cause of the lag and everyone afraid we are losing all other stuff if we only go to SM).
But they are boring They could add this with an emote pack. We already have a dance book at the gem store. I think they could do the same for other emotes – and even make money by selling gems with this.
I think it is intended – I mean not everyone is using that classes and skills. Also these skills have a cd.
If they even allow Mesmer portals to bypass walls then this surely also is intended.
Funny thing: Warrior and Necro were also 2 of the 3 classes I did not play with my first 5 char slots – did not know Warrior would the strong when I early created my 5 chars and Necro… don’t know why… I think a friend played it and I wanted to try other classes so we could form a party with different classes.
Other char I did not play was Mesmer… PvE boring as I noticed now.
My main is engineer… don’t know how PvE is compared to Necro and Warrior… but I heard Warrior is best for PvE.
For WvW I like the grenades and my engineer (5 x 3 aoe limit cause each of the 3 grenades can hit 5).
I remember 1 Asura from your Guild with The Incinerator (do not know what class, was certainly not an Ele) spamming emotes on my dead body when UW zerg took over t3 Wc (we were outmanned).

It’s fun. Lol. And it’s war. I also spam /laugh /dance /sleep near dead bodies and throw grenades on them just for the lulz – especially if they are suspiciously lying there dead for a longer time(spying).
I agree with the free and unrated tournament – instead of hotjoin. Of course something like the Custom Arenas still should be there for guilds to train and to custom stuff(needs more and better settings… and with the ready button it is a bit like a tournament environment).
At the moment I’m only doing my dailies – not playing much sPvP(tPvP) because maps like Spirit Watch are not in the rotation and I’d like to play them… at tournament, hotjoin is boring.
Also I’m playing tournaments only… even though I’m doing achievements. Hotjoin is that worse… even to to the achievements I don’t want to go there.
Oh and since we can’t chose the tournament map and I’m forced to play the maps I don’t like(or as alternative the boring hotjoin which is still worse) I often go afk early if we are losing… since boring map = not worth if we are already losing early.
Blame the game – not the player. I want free unrated queues for every map. Even if it takes much longer to queue then cause the low player base splits on all the queues.
Solution would be: Let us queue from everywhere so we could to PvE or something else while queuing and waiting. Then longer queues = no problem.
Anything but RoS. A stronger server preferred again. They whine less(cause they are stronger and don’t have much reason to whine).
RoS imho should fight against Vabbi permanently.

I already have and sent it to Anet.. multiple people saw it happening and I know the person in question as he transfered to our server for a week specifically to roam with me. I already said it a 100 times, he glitched into Bay that time as well.. It’s simple math really, 1+1 =2..
If people spot a thief exploiting into a keep and ressing a dead mesmer and that thief is a person you know is known to use that exploit.. my only mistake is that I dragged GuM into this, I regret that.. but the real perpetrator is the thief that exploited so I would like people to stop quoting my name on here already. Why are you quoting me then when I talked abou the video from EB? That got nothing to do with the thief in bay you posted ages ago in this thread. The person in EB keep was not a thief. Afaik he is playing Necro(at least the char/name he was online at that time).

Yes, of course it is possible that you did not see them… we attacked back very fast… buff on keep lord just timed out the moment our zerg destroyed the gate. If you only ran to the front to look at our zerg you don’t see other people… maybe he hid down – inside near the watergate where nobody is checking usually(especially not your noob guilds lol).
Well, this was a great week of double teaming, especially right now with the golems in RoS BL.
Yes, was fun to farm RoS. Even the VcY could not do anything lol. And fun to see them run away against our bigger zerg. Lol. That’s how WvW is played.
Would only allow griefing by going offline preventing the other server from getting any loot(now they still can get some loot from the few people still alive there).
And would not change anything. They still would capture stuff.
Solution for outmanned that don’t like it: Go offline and stop playing until a better matchup. Maybe some time we will see balanced population at the servers and balanced matchups only.
There are traps. They should be used. Not siege. There are no camps on this own map. Not supposed to build sieges there only just because you can take supply from other maps.
If you allow siege the group at the traps will just also build siege… and make it impossible for attackers to attack.
Don’t know how they look with other races – only tried with human. And I don’t like it. Can we also get something more like this please:

If it is only on this server then maybe the person from one of the other servers that is making you disconnect should stop. ;-) I’m sure someone found a hack to get you disconnected. Only will benefit them. And strange if only people from your server disconnect.
I’m glad this is over in a few hours. Hoping for better matchups. Maybe 1 french and 1 german server again? Then no whining at the forums cause they each go only to their own language forums and no threads/ no talking with the other server. Lol.
Too much whining here about 1 or 2 guys going into the keep… as if they could do anything and solo cap the keep. Others would just have killed them with a zerg… but of course if you don’t have a zerg only at that time you can’t do it(and you will lose the keep even if they 1-2 weren’t in there cause shortly our 10 times bigger zerg opens the door). Then only whining. I bet if they won nobody would have posted it at the forums.
Just report… but then send a video of how they got into the keep. Then ArenaNet can send them a “warning”(don’t think they can ban for minor stuff lol – in fact it is their fault this stuff even if possible… more like “clever use of game mechanis” if they still haven’t fixed stuff… should be allowed).
That was Maltor – I’m sure. And I’m sure he does not hack. I also saw him in still in the keep. Maybe you did not check and he was still alive there. First we took your keep. Then a few of us stayed to defend(Maltor was there) and you took it back and we arrived to capture it again… maye he hid there that short amount of time – especially with us coming again to attack and you probably only looking at our zerg maybe you did not notice.
And I already knew someone would post it lol. Make a video on how he got there first.
Also Arcane Converters can’t be stored in the locker… this should be fixed. All other stuff is storable there. I sometimes get them from dailies as reward and don’t need them. So I can only throw them away or letting them use inventory or bank space.
The recipes there all use powder(which I need for colors) and don’t have a recipe that creatse powder from other stuff.
Rifle is fun, yes. Especially if you can knockdown people somewhere. Also fun if you combine it with battering ram. Sometimes I ran a bit into an enemy group and use ram to get a downed enemy a bit more to away from them into our direction(if group fights) so they can’t rez too easily. Rocket Boots to get away a bit then. Rifle for additional knockback/launch stuff. It’s fun to prevent people from rezzing and/or stomping … or just knocking them down somewhere.
Especially if they are surprised and don’t expect it… cause they expect some of the usual engineer with pistol, grenades and stuff… in JP at 2 enemies: left one the ram… down… other one to my right the overcharged shot lol. 2 bags of loot – they must have forgot to use a fall damage reducing trait..(+ a bit damage from skill) it did not seem that high too me.
EB at red keep between outer and inner wall there is some statue near a inner gate… you can climb the statue… and jump on the inner wall.
I’d like a WvW map with a lot of underwater fights(underwater castle)… but sPvP I don’t know. Most of the base skills for engineer are boring(also for other classes). It’s because weapons underwater are limited. AoEing too hard. Engineer only good: Grenades. Still better then than basic weapon of engineer(and of a lot of other classes). I liked the Ele and Mesmer though – at least in PvE underwater… not yet tried in PvP those classes.

Necro… minions, are not popular? WHY ON EARTH ARE THEY NOT POPULAR?! O_O
Seriously, a good build around them can kick my kitten in general 1v1…
I also think the more minions the Necro uses the harder he is to kill. Especially if there are 2 with a full set of minions + rock dogs… hard to see the real targets(if not a pro targetter is marking the targets) – but that is the only problem… at least the minions itself are not that strong. Only strong minion is the ranger pet even though they got nerfed… all other stuff is dying too fast.
I like to have them on my team especially on the Foefire map now cause they can solo the lords without much trouble.
I don’t think build is a problem. PvE players are usually the players that play for rewards ant stuff to show off to others – like legendaries. There are no such rewards besides a useless glory rank that only means playing a lot and the leaderboard nobody cares about(not even shown ingame).
Build would be more a problem with WvW since you have to change it manually every time… sPvP it is nice that you can have your own build set and different armor and stuff. That’s already a good thing.
5 hours… seems a bit much? Even if you started at top no. 1 rank you should be at the bottom of the leaderboards after 5 hours only losing(if average match is between 10-15 minutes and short wait times between the matches and you really played all the time).
Especially at the lower half of the leaderboards 2-3 losses mean already about 10 percent.
Did you play all the classes you are playing in PvE to level 80 and then create your own PvP build? (That’s how I usually like to do it – cause I think starting a new char and jumping PvP won’t help me – especially not with a build from the internet when I don’t even know all the skills).
I also often lose… I went from 50 percent down to 9 lol… then the last days I decided to do dailies in tournaments again(since patch – playing engineer and I like the battering ram) and won all the time so far and up around 50 again… even though it is my least favourite map at the moment(usually I lose often on this map and win most on Temple of the Silen Storm – my favourite map).
It is not really only badges… it is badges + money(80-90 silver usually). Yeah… still better than 2-3 gold for exo. But you can’t salvage it later I think. So it is not too much difference between buying with badges and different sources to buy.
Still nice since there are that many badges. I try to use some of the Invaders stuff and get it because of a bit Toughness and Vitality which is okay for WvW to stay alive longer. And the main armor which is available with different stats getting at those different stats. Also the upgrade components at different stats… then it is okay.
Still it would be nice if all stats were possible for trinkets.
I suggest ArenaNet should fix all those glitches… you read too many stuff on these forums. Zoomhack. Other glitches like moving through a closed gate(today we also have seen at red EB keep the guild lord outside the inner wall). Also for me it was possible with super speed + rocket boots from some outer statue(past outer walls but outside the inner walls) at red keep to jump at the inner wall. ;-) But I jumped down again, did not want to get insta-killed there.
If they don’t fix stuff you can only assume it is allowed. Escpecially if it is stuff that has not been fixed for a long time(especially if it is a thief one would think it is okay for them to “sneak into a keep”). They seriously should do something about it. By not fixing it they only get more people to use this stuff if everyone is reading about it at the forums.
I never use siege. Ram is boring. Trebuchet and Catapult hard to aim. Golem too slow.
Only good thing Ballistas and AC that are easy to use… but I still don’t like to use them because I prefer to be mobile and being able to move instead of staying at the siege making me main target and then getting hit by enemy AoE.
Also I don’t like to “refresh” siege. Boring. And since I rarely use siege I don’t care. I wouldn’t even do it if there were Karma.
I don’t think it is meant to play that way… you should either build the siege… then use it. And after it is used do other stuff… and let it disappear if not really needed within that 60 minutes. Then rebuild later. That’s why the sm, keeps and towers can hold a lot of supply – so you can just build some sieges when the enemy is attacking.
Also: They should just remove the timer. That is crap. Siege should be owned by playes. And the players should be able to remove them as place them as needed. With a cap per player. If the player logs out then a timer should start do auto remove(also it should be possible to transfer ownership if you plan on logging out permanently so some other player can be the owner of these siege).
What a fail… they already put this in tournament rotation… and still not Spirit Watch back…
I predict that this map will also get removed soon since it has never been tested in public and I’m sure people will find ways to play it so that others don’t like it at tournament.
It’s probably a technical issue. Do yo u even need a LOS? I always thought it was just enough to be able to “see them” on your screen so you can move the ground targeting there… and since the arrows just appear magically out of nowhere from the air(instead of being shot like for example the engineer’s grenades are thrown) it creates such strange behaviour.
I don’t think anyone would have a real LOS through gate(like – he also could shoot with a rifle through the gate) – like LOS from the chars point of view… not that you as person behind the screen can see that stuff cause of the camera angle and zoom.
At the beginning I thought Borderlands were more fun… but I hadn’t played enough EB at that time. Now I think they are boring.
At the attacking Borderlands(enemiy BL) we at our lower tiered servers usually don’t have enough people.
As defender on home BL it is boring because hard to move terrain at the defender’s part of the map. Hate those hill/mountain area.
Also: Crafting nodes are low level. There should be same as EB.
Yes, I know they want to make it so that also low level players can play there with their first char. But they will have leveld up fast… and then they can just harvest the higher tier nodes and sell stuff and use the money to buy lower tier stuff(if they still need it to level crafting).
I have more a problem with them saying “in 1 or 2 hours”… then taking WvW down a fe minutes after that message… but bringing the build only in 1 or 2 hours.
Totally okay if it says “1 or 2 hours” then taking WvW down and the build is coming a few minutes later… but I don’t want to have to wait hours doing nothing(this does not happen that often but sometimes it happens – and I don’t think it is necessary cause they have shown it is possible to take WvW only down a few minutes before… must be some bad communication within their team between the build people and the people taking down WvW).
Let’s make PvW. Player versus World. The weak server should get 1 very strong player with a buff that makes him stronger than a champion NPC with tons of health.
Precursor for Achievement Points only if it is bound and can’t be sold at the TP… otherwise the price would drop because too many players would just get one to sell it – leaving lucky ones that get one as drop at a disadvantage(they can’t sell them at a good price anymore then – waste of luck). Also legendary made from this should be bound.
I have too many glory boosters. Can’t even use them all. Tournament chests give them often. Then from dailies. There should be another way to use them.
Also there is not enough powder. I usually convert stuff into dyes and have also too many orbs and other stuff cause the recipe does not use that much… but uses 10 powder.
I’d recommend to make it at least possible to sell stuff for glory… and make it possible to buy powder or to convert glory boosters or orbs, crystals, slivers into powder.
Only temporary bans. As warning. Permanent only if they continue – because they make the queue longer which influences the fun of other players and is against the rules because they unnecessarily have longer queue time.
And only because there is no other way at the moment… of cause if there was an auto detection they just could kick them automatically. Maybe it should check if they are in combat? Afk they surely do it at a place away from combat and it probably does not put them into combat as long as there is no target or the heal target is not in combat?
if 1.5 times is your limit for “acceptable” matchups, then the target difference in rating should be about 125 rating points. any matchup where the servers differ by more than 125 points, you should expect the highest server to win by more than 1.5 times the score.
That’s exactly the problem… for example with servers like Vabbi at EU that are around 400… then the next one 600.. and then a huge gap to 1000 where the differences are small. In such cases these 2 lowest servers always get pwned. And this needs some incentive for players to move there(for start free transfers would be good).
Yeah. If they automatically use skills this is no different from using 3rd party programs to gain an advantage.
Even if it is the inbuilt autoattack – then it is an exploit since it is not intended to use it while afk(and benefit from it in a non intended way).
Actually such people should be banned to make space for other people and shorten the queue. I’d strongly recommend to report people that use this.
It’s fine as it is since there is tons of direct damage you can use to kill him – while he is <25% health. If this got removed we’d need to also remove stealth completely because the thief can just stealth and run away not taking any damage – to heal fully.
So it’s not the map with the Trebuchet someone extracted from the game files some time ago? Or is this the map and the Trebuchet icon just did mean something differen(in this case that super cannon)?
Too bad this surely will be hotjoin for a long time until tested enough to bring it in tournament since they don’t like to bring new maps in tournaments…
I hope this will make it into tournaments – together with Spirit Watch again.
