It is not intended to kill people there. The area is meant to be a “safe area”. If you kill them they’ll have to pay repair cost. Also you can get loot. Killing them there could be exploiting/griefing.
But I also think the same for the mesmer skill that can pull people down. ArenaNet should just make everyone invulnerable there and disable the skills. Would also prevent people from shooting down while they still are up there(cowards interferring with people fighting down there) and others from shooting down→up.
Only jumping there can’t be an exploit. You just jump there… and gain nothing. I don’t think you can get banned for this. Attacking and farming them there: Yes. Of course.
Since most of the other Living Story stuff was soloable I think they should give that achievements for free or put them into a solo dungeon. I usually don’t do 5 player dungeons… and I don’t want to be forced to do this dungeon to get the achievement.
And now don’t say “stop whining”. I only post this because I read the other thread about Obsidian Sanctum and had to laugh… apparently it is okay to post like this “hey it is to hard/I don’t like it – nerf it for me”

That is kittened. As I said: If they removed WvW stuff from temporary monthly events they also should remove dungeons. Because I don’t like to do dungeons. I also paid for the game. Not only you “trololol I’m an uber PvE guy” guys paid.
I’m totally fine with the permanent dungeons… and you probably are fine with the other permanant WvW achievements(should we one day decide to to that stuff we could still do it).

So: No dungeons please. Solo instances are enough. If dungeons leave them permanently. Then you can remove the WvW stuff also.

As it stands WvW and JPs have as little to do with each other as dungeons and WvW have to do with each other. They should never have been mixed together
Well, then also tell the other guys that complain because they have to do the WvW JP that WvW is WvW. It can’t be compared to other PvE JPs. The other guy above always tried to explain it was PvE… while that JP is in a WvW area.
Nobody is forced to get that achievement. It is a PvP achievement. By placing the cache there it is a PvP achievement. You can’t just say it is a PvE achievement… PvE players are forced to go there.
It’s PvP. Just because if you go there at a time when it’s empty it is possible to do it without fighting others does not mean it is PvE.
Crab Toss I also could say: PvE… I just need to take the Crab and ran around and if others do not hit me it is PvE. Still it is PvP… and even with achievements based on luck like the Crabtacular – there you could also grief others… just by staying alive denying them the Crabtacular(where all others including you need to get steamrolled by the Karka).
Now did they nerf it? No! They even brought more stuff like that and even the WvW JP. I think it is intended and they will continue this way. It is okay since it is only 1 achievement. And nobody is forced to get it.
Don’t talk about carrots… they would need to nerf the dungeon for WvW players too if they nerfed the Cache achievement for PvE players.
There are a lot of players that play PvE Open World stuff and they are now forced into the dungeon when the other stuff(except the Flame and Frost dungeon… which was easy and NULL which was only 1 achievement and 1 fight) was possible solo.
If they nerf Blackout Cache(or stop placing achievements in WvW for the next living story content) then I want: 1 solo dungeon(like with Canach and NULL) and max 1 achivement with a explorable dungeon that can be for groups(and with huge rewads – don’t mind that since these can be bought and sold at TP).
But not 6 dungeon achievements like now… where 3 are supposed to be harder for the people that like hard stuff… and the other 3 should be possible… and then you go with random group and can’t even get the basic 3 achievements(killing bosses and /salute) cause you constantly die at the first boss – because it is harder with randoms.
This should be for permanent dungeons… where you can train as much as you want(or 1 achivement only and explor and the others in a solo dungeon – I don’t mind if the solo dungeon is hard… only looking for groups is a problem if if there are a lot of people that only die at the boss).

Congratulations. This proves it was okay for ArenaNet to place 1 cache in WvW area.
The point isn’t the jumping puzzle. It’s the cache. The cache is the point of this entire thread and its location. While all the others are in PvE, this one is in a PvP zone and certain players are taking advantage of those players who would not normally be in that environment. It’s the entire reason this thread was posted in the first place.

So what? I need to finish the Dungeon to get all the achivements. The mobs in the Dungeon constantly kill me. The location of the achievements should be at the beginning of the dungeon: Join it… get all the achivements. Leave. Without having to kill any mob(only if you want the chests and rewards you need to do this). Then it would be fine.
I want an achievement like this in WvW every month now(with every Living Story content).
Totally fine – since there are also the dungeon. It is intended to get the people on your server work together.
Only servers that can complain are Vabbi or other low servers like that(they probably don’t even hold a keep to be able to get into the JP). ArenaNet should just offer free transfers… this would solve the problem.
Come to Underworld: Best commander “Archi the Cub” is doing the puzzles do help people from his guild. Others are free to join. And he never attacked others(only the 2 french that attacked first got send back to waypoint – bon voyage lol).
Nice idea to see stuff like that. I even joined the JP even though I already did the daily. Wanted to see all the others. Nice vie wo see a lot of my server doing the puzzle and Archi helping them and ignoring others.
And I’m sure other servers can do the same. Get a big group of PvE guys and a few experienced WvW jumpers as “tour guide”.
I really like that they made it like this… people from server working together to help each other… maye a few will join WvW because of the nice Archi that helped them. Lol. Because they see there are nice people in WvW. This is also a chance for WvW… of course if all the WvW players say “gtfo you make long queue you f*** PvE player” then it’s their fault. Should not happen.
Every couple of days I buy a new batch of food+ nourishments, and that can cost me over 4 gold (how messed up is that)! When roaming i make NO money at all and lose profit on drops.. I HAVE to zerg 50% of the time just to make profit back. Yeah…
I don’t even use the expensive food lol. Maybe worth if you are a dungeon farmer too. But since I don’t play dungeons and only do WvW and still want to make a bit money and save it I just use the next lower version of the food with the stats I want… until it is cheap enough to buy.
Yes… I only get lower stats then. But still better than no food. Good enough for zergin and throwing grenades in the zerg at least. Lol. I don’t need to worry about vitality or toughness – just running back and hide behind the zerg. Only using the damage food… and even without damage food doing enough damage to get badges.
Description only mentions that you get buffed for 20s. But how long does it stay? Also: Does it work in WvW and can enemy players destroy it? Or is it safe until it expires?
I never have seen this in WvW at my server(only Hero banners from the bigger guilds).
And since I have a small guild only for guild bank I’m thinking about using this road marker a bit for support since I only need the guild for myself for bank and don’t need the other upgrades(fort upgrades or +5 influence and other crap).
Thank you for answering, Jeffrey. Since this is a PvP environment and a 1 week match that affects the rating of our servers it is very important to a lot of us. We understand that you can’t answer everywhere. But it is nice to know that you are working to fix this.
More important than with PvE stuff where it is not that important because it does nit affect ratings.

It seems with the Hotfix all events(including events for Dolyaks) got reset. Also the sentries got reset. I don’t know if this happens every hotfix or if they only did it now(I usually don’t rejoin fast enough so if this happened every hotfix I would not have noticed in the past since all sentries already captured again).
After last hotfix I noticed the white sentries… and a Dolyak from each camp moving to SM. It delivered supplies once… then the event got stuck at the Great Eastern Gate again. (Server Underworld, blue corner of SM). I don’t think it is fixed yet.
I only hope there won’t be huge imbalances at the next matchups – and then the weakest server at blue… will only put him in a even worse position…
This should not affect rating then… until a fix is out.
Mass AoE into a zerg has been the best for me so far. I always hear you should use sieges… but I prefer to be mobile and throw my grenades with my engineer – afaik 15 AoE limit instead of 5(with grandmaster trait throwing 3 grenades which each have their own AoE limit).
This is giving me a nice amount of badges. Especially if we get funny situations like:
Our zerg going into an enemy tower(empty)… enemy zerg rushing in behind us. We cap. Doors closed. Enemy can’t get out and we controll the walls. Nice farming. Lol.

Tons of more necros because of the patch. At least 1-2 each team. That means more fear of course because they have a lot of fear skills.
So there was yesterday that guy who complained the devs would not answer that much to people on engineer’s forum. Nice to see they are answering and this gets fixed.
Always thought the animation was a bit stupid after the patch but I thought it was intentional since they fixed a lot(more than 1 bullet point at the patch notes regarding this skill).
I really like the rifle. Using it a lot. First weapon I unlocke the skills for at my engineer(my main char) was the pistol. Then I unlocked the rifle skills… and stayed with rifle until now.
PvE it is not that important to me – I like to use bombs there and grenades.
sPvP I love the rifle because of immobilize and the skill 4(goes nice with the ram skill which god reduced CD). A bit more range is always good to keep runners in combat(also mentioned the immobilize which gets more range). Best trait for rifles. Damage increasing is not that important… the few percent. CD reducing trait also not that important.
WvW I just use grenades from war a way and throw them into the zergs – in zerg fights. Rocket boots are enough to get away cause there are tons of other allies that keep the enemy busy. I’m away much faster. And still I use the rifle in small group fights – here especially nice to have longer range with the open terrain and immobilize. Also knockbacks to stop rezzers or people trying to finish(not everyone has stealth, stability or blinds ready all the time – especially not in WvW where they mostly have the “trololol doing AoE into enemy zerg”-only skills").
Edit: And of course the base range is 1000 – everyone using the rifle often knows this.
I agree on 3. That is also the weakest skill to me. I could just use 1 instead and be a bit more far away. 5 brings movement and 2,4 something to control the enemy. 3 nothing.
Yes 2 can be dodged. But sometimes if they are running away(and maybe have others to dodge as well and using all their endurance) it is nice. I also use it with Sitting Duck at the moment(before I used another trait that gave on crit 50 percent chance for vulnerability but now theres vulnl already with sitting duck…).
4 is okay. Yeah in 1 vs. 1 you you get up faster. Also with the now reduced cd on ram(harder to hit with ram but still nice with the low cd) you can use multiple knockback/launch.
Yes it cures immobilization stuff… but I hate having to use it that way. Most of the time these conditions are only a problem if there are too many enemies and I want to get away… and then the self knockback hurts of course cause of the many enemies.

The problem with your example is that those areas, toward the achievement, specifically embrace fighting or competing against other players. In that case, no, I don’t believe the ‘complainers’ have a leg to stand on.
In this case, you’re trying to reach the end of a jumping puzzle. This doesn’t require you to fight other players to achieve the goal.
That’s the problem.
The actual goal is to reach a certain destination via your ‘jumping skill’ more or less. That makes it PvE. If you were required to fight other players in order to score toward said achievement, granted.
But it’s not required. It’s incidental because of the area. Again, it’s PvE. As far as what ANet will do, I doubt anything will be done for this update.
But, it’s my hope that they never do this again.
The jumping puzzle always hasn’t been “jumping only”. Otherwise they would not have PvP enabled there. If I remember correctly they already nerfed it(building siege there was possible in the past).
Also: Players that want all the JP achievement(most of them are PvE only!) need to to this one too – which is WvW(PvE and you can get attacked… not only jumping). Nobody complained about this so far.
Also for legenadries you need WvW(because of badges) while most of the stuff required for legendaries is PvE.
All yellow at the min required level gives me in 90 percent of the cases min 1 ecto – salvaging with black lion kit. Most of the time even 2-3.
Have not tried the yellow kit yet but I will try soon… once my black lion kits are used I have a 250 yellow kit made with 3 of these stones I got from dailies.
Might be lower with these kits… but I don’ think it is 0 – you probably only have bad luck.
How long will this stay? 2 weeks? By the end most PvE players will already have the achievement. Will be boring for WvW only players to camp there – they will go back to do real WvW(since there is not much else in the JP).
People that want to kill the mobs will do so at other places.
I remember the holo projectors at the beginning were also overcamped… later almost nobody used them anymore(no a few people are back for killing Aetherblades but not that much – most staying at the Caches).
At the end it will be much easier – especially with groups – there will be the usual daily jumpers for the big chest that know the puzzle… you can group with them…(as long as you are not on a server like Vabbi).
They don’t camp that much… some servers are on top a bit but not for hours. If they get “cleared” 1 time they leave. The usual WvW players that are left in a week when most PvE players will have completed it are not camping there for hours… boring.
Camping a camp (lol) in WvW is much more interesting… like the thieves running around in the open WvW map in enemy territory killing 1 player away from the zerg.
Any people telling people to just kitten up and the that achievement isn’t necessary are the exact trolls that are killing you in the puzzle ‘for the lulz’ and using that excuse to try to justify their actions. These are the types of players that are toxic for the community.

No. There are people that don’t want ArenaNet to nerf the Blackout Cache achievement – because they don’t like to do dungeons. I am one of these people. If they nerfed that Cache achievement I would feel bad… cause they made something easier for others that I already got…
but what about me? I still have do to the hard dungeon? Dungeon sucks. Much harder mobs – they are cheating… mobs should be like players and have the same skills and an AI and not thousands of HP. Killing players in PvP is much easier.
They would need to fix this for me too then. Making the dungeon easier. Only normal mobs. Bosses = vets. Nothing stronger than that. Treating the players equal.
Easiest solution: Just leave everything as it is(and I’m sure that’s how it will happen).
The problem with arguing the area isn’t PvE is because ALL the other caches are PvE. The mere idea that it’s now PvP content because it’s a PvP zone is nuts. In the other six or so areas, there were no mobs waiting to jump you en masse or knocking you off cliffs for their enjoyment. Other players are doing this . . . not computer generated enemies.
There have been lots of other PvP achievements already mixed with the PvE stuff. Remember stuff like Dragon Ball? Crab Toss? It’s not your usual PvP with your class and the class skills. But it is still PvP. People complained. ArenaNet made it that the achievement does not count towards meta. That’s all.
They won’t remove this completely or nerf it by making the cache at the beginning(if they did they should also give me all dungeon achievements for just “entering” the dungeon).
The only servers that can complain are servers like Vabbi(they might not even be able to hold a keep for 5 minutes – they should get a free transfer to another server and then free transfer back – without time restriction).
My server did bigger groups… one of the WvW commanders(that knows the puzzle cause he plays WvW and does it to get his tons of golems) did a group and while he was at it he also did the other JPs in the Borderlands to show some people from his guild and others were invited to join too.
More people is always better.
I agree it is very hard if you do it the first time – especially with enemies nearby(later if you did it a few times it will be easy). That’s why you should go in groups(especially now that there are more enemies nearby). Try to rez if possible and group up if you see a dead and no enemies nearby… if a mesmer is at the top it is easy(you could try to stay a bit if you manage to get to the top to help your people… then later leave and let other servers get there).
I’m fine without fast ground targeting – just because I can’t aim cause I find it hard to guess the max distance. Now an option like this would be nice… would make me use fast ground targeting.
Also I’d like(even for non fast ground targeting) an option to see the max range of skills – like in an RTS. For all skills.
Make an “eye” button(very small) above your 1-5 – default on 1 autoattack showing a circle around you.
Especially important for other skills that are ground targeted(at other slots or 1-5 especially if you use grenade kit).
This should show where you can move your mouse max… meaning if you move your mouse to the circle(max range) it will still hit a bit further cause of the AoE radius(but that is not a problem – knowing how big the radius is is much easier).
Let us use 2 mini pets at the same time. Cat tonic and the 2 laurel pets(75 laurels each) beg for this.
At the moment I have the cat tonic and 1 of these pets. When I get the 2nd pet I want to transform myself into a cat and use both pets and walk around LA with them.

Most stupid idea I have ever heard. Using laurels you can use to get unique stuff(you can only buy with laurels) to buy crappy stuff which drops everywhere. I’m not a PvP-only player – so it does not concern me that much.
But I think there might as well be a few PvP-only players that just want the Cat Tonic(which takes 100 laurels) and both pets(75 laurels each) just for fun to walk around somewhere when they don’t to PvP(which does not mean they are doing PvE then… they are just doing nothing having fun with the tonic).
Okay… if you have everything important… tonic and the 2 pets. Then you could buy that crafting stuff

Very bugged. There was already another thread a few days ago where I posted. Got ninja deleted(or maybe forum bug – at least I did not get a PM about deletion).
They should make it work 100% perfectly that it works all the time there are the Tears on the correct plates. Not having you do stuff like in the wiki(remove all the Tears from the puzzle, try different patterns… and like someone mentioned above: only registers if no player holds tears in their hands anymore… did not know this).
I was lucky to guest on a server where it worked…
With all the people on my server it was hard to try everything from Wiki(and the normal combination did not work of course). Also it might have been that players still held Tears in their hands… I think this was not in the wiki… that everyon has to put them down for the puzzle to register it.
Hard nerf is required – maybe a total redesign. Make the plates something you need to trigger with F… resetting after a few seconds. This might make it easier for them to register than checking the position of a stone.
The gate in Fawcett’s Bounty in Harathi Hinterlands with only 3 stones and plates already had a bit trouble with more players there(but worked much better than Tears)… when I soloed that it worked without problems.

WvW only players also need to do the dungeon if they want the other achievements. Omg! Nerf the dungeon. Lolz.
And if you say “the achievements are PvE”… then well I might just say: That particular one is WvW.
Just don’t do it if it is too hard for you. I am not doing the dungeon. Still got the meta already and I could even get monocles from the TP.
The only good thing: You don’t die that often because the puzzle is not that hard – with a bit stability and swiftness(I even used elite for stability because no other source).
If it really happens often to you this must be bad luck… I remember months back in the past I had this bug 1 or 2 times… maybe you are falling down at a “bad position” where they need to fix to make the script let you respawn? Or does it happen everywhere or always at the same position?
Edit: But the positions still are saved – as long as you don’t log out? So the only problem is that you need to run back to the entrance(and maybe port cost if nobody is ressing you)? So it really does not seem like a big problem… at least if you don’t have bad luck and have it happen very often.
I think it’s totally okay for the additional achievements to be hard(the stuff where you need to kill the last boss within 15 minutes, dodge all AoE, dodge all Lasers at mid boss).
But for a temporary dungeon to have already the mid boss that hard(which makes it a problem if not everyone in you random party is good enough and you don’t have time to look for a good group… if you waste hours with 1 bad group then need to look for another… and still want to play other parts of the game or do other stuff) – that was not a good idea.
I won’t say “nerf it” – since for the meta it’s still easy to get 12 without the dungeon(good design of the meta). And the other stuff(monocle is based on luck… and I never get lucky… also you can buy it from TP I already saw).
But they could at least have thought about making some sort of permanent dungeon… maybe next time: Easier story mode temporary during the event time… than later a permanent explorable mode which is hard.
I’m looking forward to the jumping puzzle. Not doing the dungeon but the jumping puzzle might be fun – as long as it really only is jumping and not too many mobs(and then at least it’s open world so tons of players can kill that mobs).
I am not trolling, I am completely serious. What needs to happen is what happened to the dolak thing during wintersday making it easier for people. This event has 2 weeks. I mean it would be fine if it was permanent but it isn’t. It shouldn’t be this hard for a 2 week event.
That’s what I don’t understand… I mean the stuff with the Dolyaks was easier than the Dungeon. Why did they nerf this back then? They should not have nerfed it… I completed it 1 day after the nerf… but with requirements(all Dolyaks alive) that would have been good enough to get the achievement even before the nerf. I lol’d.

I can understand that it might not be that easy – and that’s why it is not fixed yet(and dit not get fixed in a few minutes).

I mean at the moment I don’t care much… we are blue and are the stronger server – the server I’m playing on. Also it started mid of the matchup… did not affect the whole matchup.
But imagine next matchup: weaker server at blue… getting weakened even more because this bug happens… and then the whole matchup from start to end they have to live with it. This can’t happen.
Please make sure to fix it – if there is no fix delay the start of the new matchups at friday until a fix is ready.
They think sPvP players also are playing PvE to make gold there(if not they need to buy gems like the players that play PvE but don’t farm that much). And maybe they want sPvP-only players to play PvE so they also start to buy PvE stuff from the store.
Someone explained about making colors… but this is a pain. Salvaging stuff needs to be made easier and faster. Or just give an option to turn the chests directly into materials. Like putting 3 chests and 1 dust into MF gives you dust… instead of opening the chest… salvaging(click… confirm annoying dialoque because the items are “exotic”) then crafting the colors.

Is it the same for you on the other servers? Like: Event stuck somehwere? Check the route from that camp/direction the Dolyak should move and see if near some gate a “escort caravan” event appears(but nowhere a Dolyak to be seen and no icon on map) – like I explained in the linked thread.

Dolyaks to SM from our side of the map are bugged. It seems near the Great Eastern Gate(our main SM outer gate) there are 2 escort caravans events stuck – shows the event UI but the Dolyaks are nowhere to be seen and no icon on the map… like they were invisible or entered SM but the event did not end properly…
So no new Dolyaks spawning into this direction which also leaves the towers en route to SM without any supply.
Capturing by another server might reset the events… if not we need to wait until Friday… or maybe another hotfix for PvE content where they also take down WvW will reset them.
This should be permanent. I like the armor but I don’t know if I want to pay money for a skin at this moment… have still other important stuff to buy(char slots, bank tabs). Good skins could be permament.
There is still stuff like the monocle which will be not permanent(from the dungeon only). And we don’t have that many good skins for armor – even though a lot complain about this new Aetherblade skin I still like it while I don’t like most of the dungeon armors and other stuff sold at gem store(at least for medium human).
Will be coming with next update… afaik you can do that achievement then even if you did not the dungeon. Would not make sense if it were any other way.
If it required the dungeon they’d have it enabled now already and then set a prerequirement – like they did at some Flame and Frost stuff(where you needed to the first instanced stuff befoe you could do the next) and some of the Dragon Bash investigation stuff.
This way the meta is designed very well: You can get 12 even without the WvW cache and without the dungeon.
11 from getting the other caches and killing achievements(and then you’d have to get the WvW cache… 1 dungeon achievement… or you could wait until questioning Mai is possible).
Problem is you can’t see anything… because you can’t take one of the torches. Or does it work to set gamma higher in that dark room? Last time I tried it did not work. I think this might hurt especially new players… with experience maybe it is possible to do it without torch and invisibility?
If you just finished the previous phase and the new golems get activated and you are just near that new golem and want to run away(not looking into their direction until you are a bit away and can walk backwards)… that’s where it happened the last time before my party disbaned. Also it seems the 2 lasers were at the same spot cause they insta downed(usually you could survive 1 hit)… or the individual lasers must be stronger themselves in phase 3.
If there was a bit waiting time until he activated phase 3 so you could heal up and gather then it would be better.
Stability is not unlimited(also not every class has it). We made it until the 3rd phase. Before then the pull was not that annoying but then it instantly killed and people trying to ress die too.
I think the 1600 gems purchase price is fine for original outlay.. but paying per month for it? what the kitten.
I can understand that they want you to pay per time – they want to make money and there aren’t many ways for them to make money with sPvP(especially with sPvP-only players).
I would we the opposite opinion: I think 1600 is a lot – might prevent players new to CA from just trying them for a bit. Especially if you consider that they want to remove inactive CAs.
You should just pay for the time. Like: Remove the starter kit and only let us buy time tokens which can be applied to another CA or open your own CA with that amount of time you bought added. CAs always immediately disappearing after time ran out to free server resources… but this would not be a problem then – since you can just buy new time and don’t need a “big” payment for a new starter kit.
Well we are talking about the temporary content… not about an ultra hard permanent dungeon. Since it also is made for new players(otherwise they would NOT upscale) you can’t expext everyone to have the best equipment – or are there exotics for level 1 chars?
It’s ArenaNet who are tellling us “yes it’s okay for noobs and new players with not the best equipment to go there – even levels 1 with white equip”. Otherwise they would have set a hard restriction to level 80 and not upscaling(so you can’t even enter when lower than 80).

i hope there are still enough doing it the first time when i want to do it later.
that’s a problem of mmorpgs in general. tons of people do the stuff already at the first day and figure out how to do speed runs and then a few hours after release you are expected to be pro to do the 30 mins runs to farm gold there.
I’m a dungeon noob. And I want at least a few of the achievements. And because it is temporary I’ll need to try this now while still in the game. Willing to retrait – this does not cost that much.
Also maybe willing to buy a different set of green(masterwork armor) but nothing more expensive… because I’m not a dungeon farmer and don’t have much gold(and want to save the little gold I have). The main armor I have is more focused on damage(berserker).
“Just go and use different armor” is easier said than done – if everyone expects you to have a full exo set of every armor stats type…
Not everyone has that much gold and money – because a lot of non-dungeon players are doing this dungeon(the first time doing a dungeon) because they want the temporary achievements – they can’t just wait and train and do it later when they are ready and maybe have more equip.
For me… at least from the southern platform it did not work. Did anyone try from the southern platform? But still a nice combination of 2 skills.

Nice video. Do you just need to use the rocket boots skill or do some other timed jumping? I want to try this too?
Edit: First using super speed then rocket boots if I saw it corretly? Is an additional “normal jump”(like hitting the jump button midair – don’t know if thes even works) needed too?.

I have the same problem… but I’ll just try to find a group to do the basic achievements. Last time at Flame & Frost I had a group where we wiped for about 30 minutes at the last boss but then managed to do it(my first time in the dungeon there and never did it again… I think for others it also was the first time).
Was there with my level 70 guardian with a bit old green/yellow equip and more of a power skill/build not toughness you’d expect. I just play like I play in normal open world PvE and try to rezz if someon is downed…
If it’s not good enough I’ll just leave and not do it again… there are enough other achievements for meta(I only want to see story/dialogues a bit and could watch a video for this).
I don’t care if I hurt the party because I’m a noob – it’s not my fault that ArenaNet made a temporary dungeon where I can’t just train for weeks before doing it…
The only servers I really allow complaints from are Vabbi and the other one(I think name was Fissure of Woe) and US servers in the same position(don’t know how it is there).
Other servers should at least at some times of the day get enough players to go in bigger groups giving you some nice fights.
Also: You don’t need it to get the metaachievement. And if you just want “all” the achievements: Deal with it. Other’s also have to do the dungeon and might be some dungeon noobs having trouble there.
Just learn to play for the fun and do as much achievements as YOU can do… and leave the others. I already started some time ago… did not want to try my luck with for Moa Race with my few coints(I’m not a dungeon farmer and low on money cause I don’t farm dungeons 24/7).
It is totally okay to not get every achievement. I mean: You also won’t get every skin… with all the random where there is stuff you can’t even get with paying 1000+ dollars if you have bad luck.

2. Move the cache to the start of the jump puzzle. It’s not like Obsidian is actually that challenging. The only tricksy part is the dark room, and you kinda get the same experience in Sharky’s in LA. So it’s not like you’re really letting people that much off the hook.
Actually dark room is one of the easier parts if you know the shortcut to avoid the 2nd sets of heads that shoot fire(they are harder to dodge without running in the next one). I always use swiftness… don’t know if it is possible without swiftness to do the jump. But everyone should use that shortcut.
5. NEVER EVER PUT A LIMITED TIME ACHIEVEMENT ON A WVW MAP AGAIN. I don’t think I can stress that enough.
Yes. And never make time limited dungeon achievements please. Cause I don’t like to do dungeons. I’m a noob. I don’t feel good doing there with my non full exo level 80 engineer with glasscannon equip(where I can max change the traits but not buy new equip cause I don’t have tons of gold). They all will think I’m experienced cause they see the star from map completion(even if I tell them I’m a noob) and then they will flame me because I die every 5 seconds.
