What a sad topic …
This is what we get because of a stupid system that gives full reward to everybody…
I’d like to know who is the genius that took this decision…
1 vs 1 = 40 wxp
10 vs 1 = 40 wxp each … -.-’
It’s an important topic. And it is important to play this way. Good that 10 vs 1 = 40 wxp each. Easier to get wxp which is important. And if they changed it people would look for other ways to farm wxp.
The community wanted it.
I did not want the ranks. I do not need the PvE x WvW mix(map completion, badges for legendaries on the WvW map). Also I do not need the PvE equip – I would be fine if they made it a bit more like sPvP…
Remove the wxp rank. Give everyone access to free euip and a WvW armor set. Free siege blueprints(only costing supplies from the camps). Everyone at level 80. Real level like sPvP. Not upscaled.
All problems would be solved. Only problem: A lot of people will whine cause they can’t farm newbies with their ascended gear. The people want this. They wanted ranks and stuff and wvw skills.
And while this in the game of course a lot want to farm. I myself also want badges… I don’t play PvE much and the badges help me to get a kitteneaper gear(instead of 2-3 gold per exo buying with badges + 80,90 silver). Event farming for silver and tagging a lot of players in zerg fights for badges is a good way… and needed so I can get better equip I need because all the others have their ascended from PvE fractals farming and come to WvW to kill others with lower gear.
It’s okay since it is not harder than the dungeon. And it even stays permanent while the ultrahard dungeon is only temporary. You can even do the JP in a few weeks if you don’t have the 1 hour of time now(1 hour should be enough … falling down a few times… getting used to it and then finishing it – also try using the Dulfy guide, helped me a lot – biggest problem is figuring out where to go… and at some jumps to face the right direction/angle and Dulfy mentions this saving you some deaths).
New maps with the same mechanics would be a total fail(like capturing and holding towers, keeps and stuff). There are still servers in the game that don’t even have enough players to get queues on all the existing maps.
They should get some free transfers running to get players to servers like Vabbi.
For new maps some new mechanics – like a map with a Dolyak pasture you can capture to give all other maps your Dolyak a permanent movement buff and supply buff.
To make it more interesting to control all the other maps… not just EB your courner and your home borderlands as it is now.
240 isnt big enough of a gap to cause real issues in this system. glicko cant handle ~400 point gaps.
But 240 gap can already mean that one server with 240 better ranking can pwn the others heavily and get.

Baruch Bay not even 200 differene to the others in their matchup and almost 2 times the amount of score points.
“Heavyly pwning” for me is 1.5-2 times the amount of score points than the others…
This only shows that the free transfers are needed more than ever. Lower servers need to get more population to balance it and make it more fun.

It’s a PvEvP achievement. You can do it in WvW and in PvE… also WvW always has been a mix of PvE and PvP. They also put pure PvE events there. You need to go their for Legendary(for Badges/Gift – and Map Completion) which is mostly PvE.
Also the normal JP achievements are in that zone(while all the other JP achievements are for JPs in PvE environment).
So you can’t complain.
It’s only good since so far they did not pay attention to the WvW players at these monthly content and just made everything into boring PvE zone. It’s nice for us to have 1 achievement. Others should deal with it. You don’t need to do it.
You’ll still need to get the goggles if you want the bar for Dive Master to be full – which is important to some people. I myself don’t care much about the achievement points or titles(why is there not title for Dive Master)?
So I’ll do it again… when I’m in the mood. I also still need to to a lot of other google locations since they implemented them when I already got World Completion on my main and I did not want to go to all other locations again(but doing some while leveling Alts).
Yes: Cam sucks a bit. As we all know already from other puzzles that have even worse cam.
Well, compared to the dungeon it is a cakewalk.
Did the JP 1 time. Will do it a 2nd time for goggles. Then it’s only good for new chars on their way to 80 to get a free first exotikittenil they buy another set.
Might still do it with my chars 2-5… but not that important so I’ll wait until I’m more in the mood to play these chars. And then of course only once… for the later random stuff you get(I think the exo is only 1st time per char) I can do easier JPs.
The JP will be as empty as other puzzles soon.
They could just have made this temporary as well… don’t know why they make the ultra hard dungeon temporary and this easy puzzle permanent(everyone can do it in less than 1 hours with a bit trying and luck or just using the Mesmer lol).
And then saying: You get an exo cause the puzzle is hard… lol. It is easy. And the exo is not even a good reward even if the puzzle was hard. Better a ascended and 1 time per account.
Nice. So a few accidentaly bugged into Arborstone keep and just now Arborstone took the Underworld keep and bugged into the keep on purpose. We were back in time… timer was at like 1 and checking gates and the small group was in already and gates were still up. I don’t think anyone checked watergate but that probably would not have been possible to open the gates with such a small group of <10 people in 2 minutes.
So this is only possible because he can use the Waypoint and the portal does not reset? Seems really like an exploit. Isn’t there a timer on how fast you have to place the 2nd portal that he bypasses by using the Waypoint? (Walking back – if this is even possible probably would take longer I think).
Made it to the chest without dying(but falling early a few times). Later at my 2nd try to get the goggles too I died at an earlier jump that was still high enough to die for the 1st time – in a bad location. Trying tomorror for the goggles.
From the Dulfy video it does not seem that hard. Hard part seems to jump down without hitting anything so you get the goggle achievement.
JP was easy – but only because of the Dulfy guild and tons of people there. Without them the trash mobs could have been a problem(if you take a bit fall damage and damage from steam and other stuff and then the mobs) and finding the way would have been a problem.
Made it up to the chest but then at the 2nd try(unfortunately you need to start from the beginnig again to go for the goggles) I died in an unfavourable location.
With a bit training this should be avoidable and leaving most of the jumps with a “good death” or even alive(with trait if you are not falling from the very top where it seems a bit easier).
I saw a screenshot of the tooltip at Dulfy’s website. If the money value at th tooltip is shown correctly then it will sell for 60 silver at NPC vendors… but you are not able to salvage it and sell it at TP I heard(bound on acquire). But 60 silver should be worth about 3 ectos…
Let’s see if this is every day or once per char. I think once per char – same was for the shoes at Clocktower.
Make sure you have opened all the chests for map completion(check all the map in the game again). Because if you forgot one it will block you from receiving the chest for world completion(a starlike chest icon looking like the medal at the login screen appears there were usually the chest appears).

Wanted to go there because of the Karma merchant… saw it was contested at my home server and guested to another server were almost all of Cursed Shore was uncontested… only this temple wasn’t – and then I saw the bugged event. Guested to a 2nd server – same there. At my home server the same.
This should be fixed… this map and events are there since release. Can’t believe this isn’t working.

lol, stopping people from getting free siege is the worst rationale ever for camping the jp. If someone can’t afford to fork out 1-2 gold to stack up on siege, they’re doing something wrong.
I’d rather save my money and get the sieges from JP, rank chest, random drops(especially for the expensive stuff) – and buy additional ones with badges(good for the cheap stuff).

I don’t like dungeons that much. So no dungeon armor for me. But that is okay. I wouldn’t want to use most of the dungeon armor. Maye for heavy or light armor… but not for my engineer. A bit “too much”.

Shoulders from the WvW set. But the shoulders from the set above where I bought the chest item are also nice. Head item is a pirate hat… but usually disabled in view cause I don’t like that it removes/covers all my hair. Also something that I probably only will use at my heavy and light armor users that I still need to level(or at some charr thief).

Not using/showing any back item skin. Most from the living story get boring fast and don’t look good with the rifle at the back moving through stuff from the back item.
Rifle is the Mystic Rifle from the MF(50 skill points). Legendary do expensive too much too farm. And I don’t even like that skin… too much like a sniper rifle and the engineer is more like mid/close ranged fighter for me(and ranged only grenades then) and shooting from the hip. A more light and compact elegant design… that’s why I like the Mystic Rifle. Also a very small graphical light effect.
Well, unless you want to give a bad reputation to a guild, such thoughts should not be posted on forums. If you really want to “investigate”, you can always ask a GuM leader to clarify that for you.
Okay, sorry. I did not think that many posts would be created in reaction to my post – probably not much others would have paid attention then. I always see others doing the same… posting stuff then they are not even sure on the forums. And I thought this was a multi server guild… because some days ago in the chat someone explained “RoS has a 100 people on TeamSpeak, ask xyz he/she has been there a few weeks ago”. Don’t know that name of the person anymore(I put xyz because I don’t remember the name)… but I know I saw that person at our server and he was “GuM” so I thought it was common for that guild to have players on both servers. Also that’s why I did not think anything bad when I saw that other enemy with the same guild name.
And the think about spying really was something that everyone could have done.
I will take a screenshot next time. Even though lordkrall says the “GuM” on RoS is not related to the ones one UW I’m sure a few days ago in a big zerg I saw one RoS player with the same “GuM” and also the full name was the same… which was strange because there is “Underworld” in the guild name and that player was on RoS.
Of course for the other stuff(spying) you can’t be sure. Nobody knows. That’s why I’m saying “maybe” … not “I’m sure”. Could also be a coincidence that there RoS just rushed SM without first retaking their other towers(which is not an unusual strategy to just surprise the enemy… only a bit strange it happened shortly after the commander tagged down – fortunately he was still there and tagged up again). Also there could be tons of other players… everyone on UW knows about stuff happening on our server and could tell it to others.
Yeah. Pretty useless. In small engagements the Supply Crate always owns. Stun, towers(net tower – immobilize) and free heal.
Elixir X can be fun sometimes(but I usually prefer the tornado… a bit bad with the random – there should be a toolbeltmechanics with one tranformation at the basic skill and the other at toolbelt skill – so you could choose… resetting CD for both so you can’t use 2 elite one after the other).
Mortar = crap. 1500 is not enough. Grenades much better. 2000… maybe a bit better but then you just could go for real siege in WvW(that also do tons of more damage). And WvW seems the only place where you could use Mortar.
I’d prefer a movable NPC ally instead of Mortar – like elementals for elementalist, thief guild for thief…
A golem. With CC knockbacks and launch that gives protection boon to the allies nearby.
Edit: Also the Elixir X could be redesigned to work as “Elite Elixir kit” – a kit you can equip 1 time to get 5 different elixir skills being able to choose from one. Then after 1 skill use the heavy CD. Would give you 5 different elite with 1 slot where you could choose one. Lol.

If they made it that you could access the JP directly from Lion’s Arch…
would prevent servers like Vabbi from completely being locked out(they probably never control their keep) and would prevent you from having to queue to EB.
Then maybe even servers with less people would see more of their allies in EB and it would be easier for big guild groups to just say “we go there and roflstomp – to counter the others that are camping our guys all the time there”.
But with the queue it will be hard… especially if there still are a lot of players doing WvW and staying on the big WvW maps instead of moving to JP.
With sieges placed from blueprints there is no problem. You just place a new blueprint and in case a siege gets heavily damaged but not completely destroyed you already can build another one as precaution if you think the first one will get destroyed completely soon.
But: At towers, keeps, SM you can repair walls and doors. Sieges can just be damaged by single moving players until they are almost dead… then later they can be cleared fast if the enemy zerg decides to arrive. And you can’t prepare and repair them to full health. You’d need to hope for an enemy to destroy them completely and then wait for the built site to reappear again.
It should be possible to repair these sieges – only the ones at towers, keeps, SM(oil, mortars, cannons). Should require supplies. An additional skill while you man the sieges should be used(cause you only have one F key that usually is used to repair but here used to man the siege).
To prevent counter-repairing while the enemy is attacking: Every time the siege gets attacked make a timer like 5 minutes(debuff)… always resetting to 5 minutes every time it takes damage. If it is safe for longer than 5 minutes you can repair.
Show them all! Simple suggestion. Should not be that hard. Even better: Make it like in sPvP and use symbols that show the class. Not every server has commanders 24/7.
It’s really a big difference. Teamspeak? I don’t care. But the commander tag… making such a huge difference. You don’t even know where to go if there is no commander online… people talkin in the chat and then someone is answering and you to somewhere to see 5-6 people.
But 20-30 are at some other locations in groups of 5-6. Not possible to do something like this.
I don’t know why not everyone is on the map. This is no top secret information. Everyone could just tell where he is in the chat… but seems lot of people are too lazy to type?
Not talking about enemies here. Only allies. I know in maps like JP it sometimes shows enemies as red dots(which is bugged fairly often – shows them as green sometimes). This could be removd completely if it is not possible to only show allies and only possible to increase the total range of showing stuff.

Yes, it happens… last matchup we also capped other stuff at the night. Losing SM every day makes you motivated to cap all the other stuff at night so the others lose all their upgrades at the keep and have something to reupgrade too.
I don’t know how many are only the early morning at UW… but it seems the other servers are attacking back at that time always – seems we stay up late until night and then not enough are playing in the morning… we just sleep at some other time(or work). Not playing 24/7 that many… that’s why it seems we have lost SM again(at least according to Millenium.org – I myself have not logged in since 5-6 hours).
Also: Interesting this night the attack from RoS at SM shortly after our commander announced he wanted to go offline(and removed his tag). As if they knew(maybe someone from the guild GuM told them? this guild seems to be at 2 or more servers… at least I know them UW and I think I saw at least 1 member as enemy at RoS…. strange).

I only read the top part of the Wiki page and there it says “3 seconds” and does not mention that it pulses… (is this even in the ingame tooltip? then Wiki should mention it at the top – if not they should put it in the ingame tooltip too).
Need to try this with my thief soon… have still chars 2-5(and now 6,7 with my 2 new char slots) leveling in PvE 10 level… then doing story… switching to the next char lol. Really need to play one of them a bit longer without break next when he is 80 and try WvW/PvE. But probably first Guardian and Ranger and the Ele and Thief will have to wait a bit. ;-)
Wipe them of the map. And kill their keep in EB. Then all go EB and roll them. Probably the sort of guild that runs away in shock and fear and logs out for hours if you face them with the same amount of players they have…
By letting them only be temporary at the store they get more people to buy them in a short amount of time. But I think it is likely they’ll return them somehow in the future… but with other animations and names then.
Saw the requirements and loled. Really expensive. I’d never use that. Better using other stuff that focuses only on 1 or 2 stats… in the sum it might be more if you add the numbers of the 2 stats from some other food and then the numbesr of the Dragon’s Revelry… but then again some stats really might be useless for you. So it’s only good for having 3-4 with smaller numbers… which should equal the 1-2 stats higher increased from some other food.
Imbalances are a feature and intended. Cause it is not a 1 vs. 1 game. Don’t know why always the people complain in the WvW forums… in a sPvP it might hurt with random teams of 5 if there is a bad balance.
WvW over the servers the population should balance somehow so you have like x percent of the "omg OP class " on server A and on server B also x percent of the “omg OP class” and it is balanced. Just don’t go 1 vs. 1 all the time and expect to win it(here we also could complain about the imbalanced equip… my level 1 starter equip is not good enough and I get always killed by someone with ascended gear omg omg OP nerf it).
Warrior has been considered the weakest class in PvP for a long time. Just read the sPvP forums. I don’t play dungeon… don’t know the weakest class there.
From PvE I haven’t played all classes yet. No Necro and my Mesmer and Warrior only at low level… but I don’t like Mesmer. Also heard it is harder to level. So Mesmer for PvE.
The rangers are still nice. Haven’t played my other ranger char for a long time and only played PvE so far but I liked the survavibility of the pet(if you took something like a bear) and the bow range… short bow range fix might be a nerf but I think there is still a longbow… and from Temple of the Silent Storm sPvP map I know people use this to knockdown near(in combination with a fear pet).
Someone should sticky one of these threads. Known for a few days – in the bug forums even a dev answered. They are still working on this. A fix will get released “when it’s ready”. Also they won’t do anything about rating your server could lose because you are performing worse because of the bug(at least they did not say anything like this and judging from their actions in the past I think they don’t care – there is mre important stuff than rating).
Automated Response is only good for sPvP. You need to put 30 points in Alchemy(which leaves you with only 40 points left to get other stuff). Also you need to use the grandmaster slot for this…
In WvW just another person on Direct Damage build can walk with the Necro and kill you. Not worth using it. Better leaving that conditions and have someone rezz you should you die.
I often happen to get out of the action with Rocket Boots – but still have conditions running and sometimes by 1 second wrongly timed I get downed but safe to rez(not in an AC fire).
Edit: Also: Afaik toughness does not affeckt Condition Damage? At least I think I read something like this in the Wiki. And since there is no other stuff to put on the Armor to reduce the condition damge it is fine that there is food.
So they probably wanted it like this you can’t stack the swiftness too much? More than 1 Mesmer if it stacked when you already got the buff it probably would be easy to stack it unlimited?
What about that veil? Seems pretty OP if this stacked when you already got the buff… to this probably is the same like the Mesmer speed buff? If you get it 1 time and it is still running you need to wait until you can get it another time? This would mean the zerg would be visible… after these 4 seconds(which is still a lot) before they could get the stealth another time.
Edit: Also does someone know the stealth skill that gives about 10-12 seconds stealth? I think it was an allied thief and I got stealthed by him and it was pretty long… and the wiki only lists skills with about 3-6 seconds stealth time. Or was this something heavily traited and affected by boon duration or runes? Or maybe he did use more skills… but it was pretty fast… if they did not have all a 0 skill use time then it was only 1 skill.

Lol… did not know what this was. Then googled and saw it was a trait… and according to Wiki Grandmaster. Then I loled when I saw the description and remembered from my engineer that we have exactly the same as Adept trait.
Is there a list of all the limits? I know about the siege(mentioned somehwere and most have a limit of 50).
So what is the hard limit of that veil? Or is this really unlimited? And where is it mentioned that portal limit is 20? I always thought this was unlimited.

But not Combo fiels? Or are Combo fields also unlimited? … if not how does it decide which targets to give the combo effect first? I mean I always hear people to try stacking boons by combo fiels… but within a zerg if affected by a limit of 5 it would be hard to get them to all people and it could be that a few get a lot of stacks an others don’t get any(or is there a rule to go to the ones with the lowest amount first to?) —- and without limit it would be too OP probably.
Edit: Also – what I noticed: Why is there still the strange bug that you don’t get swiftness from Mesmer/Guardian they place on the ground if you already have swiftness… shouldn’t it add 10 more seconds? This seems a bit bugged to me. Would make it much easier to stack swiftness then.
Ele is good. All depens on the situation. I even heard about some Ele that went back into their own keep while defending and getting downed in front of the gate.
Problem with the revive skills is: They don’t really revive from dead… only from downed. They have a heavy CD… and are usless for other stuff. They might be useful in a small scale environment like sPvP… but in a big zerg environment I’m sure you can afford a few players to rezz the downed with F. Especially considering that it does not take that long.
Only a problem if there is heavy AoE on them… but I don’t think revive skills will help that much then. Only wasted. I never used one. Even not in sPvP(then I prefer to use an AoE knockback and then rezz until enemy can do too much damage – yes they can use stability… but that happens).
Edit: But talking about survival skills: I usually have some skills to get a bit away from the enemy zerg(now after the update with my engineer I like the rocket boots – also cure immobilized, chilled, crippled). Usually a bad idea to die in heavy AoE… on a not that well organized server where tons of people run in the the fire of 2-3 ACs to rezz you and die themselves. At least try to get away from these.

Oh no… Archi said to defend SM when he went offline(he said he spent 5g for upgrades there). Now it is lost again lol.
Seems like one of these matchups where we should not upgrade SM – cause we stay awake all the night… capture a lot of other stuff while others already go to sleep…
Then we go too sleep(shortly after Archi left we got the outmanned buff) while others already finished their sleep and then attack back. Lol.
I think engineer can go for permanent swiftness… at least I tried this in sPvP… with traits to give +30% boon duration and some swiftness runes(centaur). Using all the other stuff(elixir, med kit skill and trait for equipping kit → swiftness) you can get permanent swiftness.
Also at the moment we have some nice combo with super speed + rocket boots that works a bit like rtl(very fast jump you can use to get away). Also this cures cripple, chilled, immobilized.
Showing 2 icons. I remember thief hat the same problem back in the past for some skills.
You just shut stop kittening whining. Just don’t to the achievement and gtfo out of this forums. Do I make 1000+++ posts about the dungeons in the other threads?
This is a Living World forum. A PvE forum, if you haven’t noticed. PvE people have every right to post there.
But they should stop complaining that a WvW achievement is WvW… and trying to play with words saying “this is PvE”.

Everyone thinking different is wrong… and only playing with words because they don’t like to do WvW and want to get the achievement for free(and then complaining about others that want the dungeon to be nerfed because they dont’ like dungeons when complaining about Obsidian Sanctum is basically the same).
Hot pink dye dropped for me 1 or 2 days ago. Lol.
Lol. They should just kitten. I was also there… there is a pretty long timer after you complete the Vexa’s Lab… like 10 minutes or so. A few runs and you can get the 50 Aetherblades needed for the achievement… It’s not that you only can kill 3 every time until you get ported out.
2 or 3 times from the beginning until the 10 minuts are over and you get ported out should totally be enough.. if they don’t want it they can just look for holo projectors.
They always make these kind of achievements… that force you to play for yourself and not for the team(party). Like at the Wintersday that snowball throwing mini game or repairing stuff in WvW where people just waste supplies even if it does not help their server – because they need the achievement.
For the dungeon I think it is okay – since a lot of people wanted harder dungeons and the achievements are probably meant for guilds that talk to each other and not for randoms(even the basic achievements are hard for randoms cause of the hard bosses).
In the guilds they can just help each other to get the other additional achievements. Let the ones that already have the achievements get hit by lasers and always only take 1 that can focus on not getting hit doing nothing else. That’s what players wanted. Content that can’t just be done by everyone.
skill 2 netshot: misses way too much.
It’s an immobilize on a ten-second cooldown, the shortest in the game. The only other (non-thief) ten-second immobilize is a channeled warrior melee skill that requires adrenaline.
skill 4: overcharged shot: No profession deserve self knock that screws you up. There is no reason for self knock.
Launch is a fairly rare effect, engineers having five of the available thirteen skills that cause it, and again, it’s on a fifteen second timer, the shortest in the game outside of two skills on elite transformations. Even the launch on Conjure Lightning Hammer has a longer cooldown.
Perspective is everything.
Even shorter if traited. + then using Battering ram(which got a lowered CD now) with traits. You can use CC almost permanently(the moment it wears off already another skill is out of CD). Of course it does not help if the others use a lot of stuff to counter this(like stability and stuff). Also the net shot heavily profits from the Sitting Duck trait. 5 seconds Cripple every 10(or 8 seconds if traited CD on rifles) and 5 stacks of vulnerability for 8 seconds… means permanent 5 stacks with rifle only with net shot(if net shot lowered to 8 seconds CD with trait).
Regarding ranged weapon: I think rifle is a mid/closed-range weapon. Of course it is “ranged” – because you shoot. But for long range grenades are better… and if there is a single target it is better to run to him to be able to use the other rifle skills better(only for running away guys it is “long range” for net shot). Then I’d try to get close, use 3 and then go to midrange… knocking the enemy back a bit.. stuff like that. Jumping back to him with jump shot…
Grenades for damage and rifle for fun. And I don’t like the conditions… I want direct damage that can’t be countered by condition removal. So I just go for power and crit and it is still fun to throw grenades in WvW in the enemy zerg and it gives the rifle good power for fighting single enemies. Maybe not that good for soloing but the CC helps in small fights x vs x.
It’s a game. There is no real life physics. Totally okay. Otherwise they would have to fix tons of other stuff as well. Like mesmers can spawn clones on Walls if they are down there…
Arrow Carts with a strange shooting behavior… (they would need a much bigger min range… I don’t think the arrows go straight up and then a few inches away they come straight down from the air).
I frequently use supply crate in WvW on walls… and I like it.
So what? Where is you problem. AoE spam… and everything is dead. All the turrets. No problem.
I’d rather nerf mesmer portals and give them a limit of 5 people … cause they all the time exploit them to get into keeps.
