I don’t care much about the mortars… but I hope they aren’t going to ruin classes with that new balance update. We all know such balance stuff only happens once a month and if the ruin it we will need to play with it for at least one month until they fix it again.
Edit: And know we know what that “delete me” achievements were. Probably for that scavenger hunt mentioned there.

If you capture them back again you win. If you lose them you can capture them back more often… so you win more.
And regarding the “end win” with the points ticking: Nobody really cares… cause the match is 1 week and barely anyone plays 24/7 the whole match. So it is not “your” win. Not much incentive to fight for win there. sPvP is different cause you play the whole match(cause it is only <15 mins). You can affect the whole match and then feel good because you won.
Here you feel nothing… cause you might only be able to play a small amount of time… and then not even have time to play at the reset. There is no real “win”. Not a feeling like in sPvP in a tournament match.
The only small wins you feel are after you take a tower or keep(and this feels better if there was a long battle)… but then again if you just lose it and can capture other stuff to get “wins” it doesn’t matter if you lose stuff.
This is exactly how the game should not be played in my opinion. The game was designed to cap and hold not cap and fold. It is this attitude that is discouraging those who want to play the game like it was designed.
My Question is what is causing players to have this attitude? What in the game is encouraging them to have it?
It’s the game design. I tried to explain a bit already in my post. I think it is even more a problem with the unbalanced matchups the new matchup system generates. In balanced matchups it might be worth upgrading… if you are much stronger you don’t even need upgrades. If you are much weaker then the other server(s) will just take everything during the night… there is no “let’s upgrade so we can hold with a few people against the enemy zerg until our zerg arrives” if you don’t have a zerg at some night time when it’s 5-20 against 60-80 players.
Maybe upgraded towers should tick for more points?
I already suggested this in one of my first posts in this thread. Also anzenketh somewhere suggested to reward the players that bought the upgrade. Makes sense – since there still are a lot of players that wouldn’t even care if it gave more points for your server(team) if they themselves don’t get a reward.
Having upgrades cost in-game currency may be a gold sink, but it also makes defense even less rewarding for those who do it. Why would I want to spent 1.5 gold to upgrade a keep when it’s unlikely I’ll even make that money back over several hours of defending it?
Also this is a problem. Better rewards might help here. I usually make more money than the repair costs(especially if running with the zerg or doing “small” events like camps, dolyaks, sentries while outmanned – dying not a problem here cause no armor damage). Especially with the newly introduced chests I slowly make a bit of money… and I want to keep it… I mean other players do dungeons and stuff and farm much more money… why should I lose now money while doing WvW? If I started buying expensive upgrades I would lose money(or at least stop making money)…
The only thing I like to buy is the supply upgrade for camp(even though camps are flipped every 5 minutes and no one really bothers defending them – at least not if you fight against a much stronger server and your own zerg is busy doing other stuff instead of going with your 20 people to defend your camp against 80 and get roflstomped – matchup problem here again!). It gives more supply to Dolyaks(and my class also can – very limited but the class I’m playing as main can do it – give some speed boost to the Dolyak… helping others that upgrade a tower to get more supplies there). Also more people can take supplies from the camp if it is at x/125 then… for siege(I have lots of badges and blueprints and already have a gift for legendary and can use the badges for more blueprints).
I let the others buy the expensive upgrades.
If I could pay with badges… maybe I’d pay. They might think about lowered cost and 2nd option to buy with coins+badges(and lower coins… but still coin cost) – and the same time lowering the amount of money you can make from events?
I mean if you say gold sink is needed them obviously at the moment the amount of money you can earn(from events) is balanced to the amount of money you can spent(upgrading and repair cost)… so if they lowered the upgrade cost or removed them it still would be fine if you earned less money(as long as it was still balanced to earn your repair cost).
Fire a mesmer into a keep and let the mesmer port others in. Win.
I think the last time they tried that the asuran made it into the keep but wasn’t in one piece.
Then maybe instead of using a long range trebuchet give players a “Keg Brawl” skill so they can throw an Asuran Mesmer like a keg… if they don’t throw with too much power(if they stand in front of the wall it should not need too much power like a treb from too far away) they could throw him up the wall alive.
Yeah. I always hate it to stop and take a few seconds to look around for bags I missed because I’m not permanently pressing F… while the zerg is already running to the next stuff to cap(and if it’s easy stuff like a camp that just gets rolled I’ll be to late to get credit for the event).
But we already had lots of threads about this… the devs should know. There did not happen anything until now which means they have other priorities or changing the loot system is more complicated and cannot happen “overnight”.
If you capture them back again you win. If you lose them you can capture them back more often… so you win more.
And regarding the “end win” with the points ticking: Nobody really cares… cause the match is 1 week and barely anyone plays 24/7 the whole match. So it is not “your” win. Give stuff you can us in WvW as rewards to the weaker servers – like upgraded blueprints. To the winning servers – since they don’t need blueprints they are already winning enough with the stuff the players farm by themselves – give money instead… but don’t give them too much or all players will transfer to winning servers. No trolling but I’d say 1 copper is enough!
No. I’m in the correct thread. 2nd post already someone was talking about fireworks and griefing. And I’m sure a commander beacon also could be used for griefing. Legendaries should also be fixed and removed from WvW.
My nicely fortified tower will draw in the enemy and gather them into a nice packaged ball of loot, badges, and WXP. The upgrades let it last until the friendly zerg rofflestomps them all.
Yes… but sometimes it does not work if their zerg of 80 people roflstomps your friendly zerg of 20 people(and you don’t have more than 20 people)… or they just wait until everyone is asleep and you don’t even have 5 people online.
Fire a mesmer into a keep and let the mesmer port others in. Win.
Yep… as predicted. Not much going in at EB this night and we can’t even try to recap the keep – the few people there battling in front of our main near the keep gate already seem to have left by now and only 2-3 fighting there. Moving to our UB home borderlands now and leaving tkitten all to AR for them to have fun with the NPCs there. ;-)
Yea right..just like the asskickin they are getting in our BL right now, they sure look organised when it’s even numbers;)
I assume you were not there on reset-night then?
After reset I played a bit and saw at our homeborderland a few different of our commanders and small groups getting pwned by their big zerg(instead of us also only trying 1 big zerg with1 commander). Left and joined EB then… yes they were better organized at our borderlands at that day.
Why can we still use the investigation kit to grief? (Using it, dropping it, using it again… to make appear lots of dropped items… a bit annoying even if they stay only for a few seconds).
You know who they are because they were at that ceremony(I think)… but they left Lion’s Arch and now you don’t know where they are…
Tomorrow you will get a letter/mail that tells you where they are so you can go talk to them…
And you only know that you’ll get that letter tomorrow because the devs/Guild Wars 2 Website says so to prevent players from looking for hours cause they think they missed something or think something is bugged.
There will be a time when all the coffers are opened and all the wings from the coffers are sold(or at least the prices goes up very high)… and then it will be cheaper to buy the Zhaitaffy and use the merchant… until at the end everything is used up – seems a good idea to later remove too much Zhaitaffy from the game which can’t be used any other way(or are there cooking recipes?)
Candy Corn still a lot at the TP….
The story related stuff – which started yesterday. I like the cutscenes and voiced acted dialoques in instances.
“Tax” should be taken from the money you make with events.
Edit: And since the PvE players also profit from the “Power of the Mists” they also should pay the tax… should be really small amount… since a lot of events will be generated by a lot of players(especially if there is a “PvE server” with high populiation – but not many people playing WvE… still a lot doing PvE events).
2. The Tassi Box is in reference to Magister Tassi who was the start NPC for the scavenger hunt in the Halloween content. She gave you a Candy Powered Matter Meter to help find ghosts for the hunt. The box is an altered form of that device.
Yes, yes, I remember. Now I don’t know the exact dialoque anymore when Majory talked about the Tassi Box. And it is not (yet) in the Wiki. Did she say she got it directly from Tassi? Or from someone else(then it might be someone else from the Priory and it might be the E that she talked about “This isn’t the first time he’s provided what I needed before I even knew I needed it.”)
On second thought… yes. You might be right. We don’t know if they assume everyone played the previous Living Story content – then they would not have let the mail start with “you may not know me” if it was Ellen Kiel(they would know each other).
Also Ellen Kiel directly might have intervened and done something to stop the ceremony if she already knew before – and she might have acted different when you talked to her.
But I don’t think the name ends with E? I don’t have the different mails saved anymore… but according to Wiki:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon_Bash_mail#Effigy_Ceremony
The sender’s name was E. Not ____E. The thing where they show something like ___E is – at least according to the Wiki more like —--E and the same with Majory —--Majory… maybe only to indicating that they are signing the mail there. Also it is a capital E.
Edit: Also I think it might be someone who is currently in Lion’s Arch – because he knows stuff from there. Or he he has connection to someone there… via Order of Whispers… that might make sense. But wouldn’t they investigate themselves instead of needing a private investigator?
Edit2: So I don’t think it is someone of the Order of Whispers. Reading the dialogue again (at Wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hard_Boiled she says "Is that so? I shouldn’t be surprised. This isn’t the first time he’s provided what I needed before I even knew I needed it. " ) Also later they are talking about some “Tassi Box” – that investigation kit. Tassi that guy from the Priory?
There is 1 guy from the Priory with name starting with E in Lion’s Arch at the moment:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Magister_Elwin_Huntsley
And he is human.
(edited by Luthan.5236)
Why is the private investigator not a male? I mean we already have Ellen Kiel as a famous female NPC so they should have made an important male NPC now. Yes I know there was also Logan but he is not that important… (or maybe he will be more important in the future… there also was Kasmeer and she might be involved somehow).
It’s obvious that it is Ellen. They just don’t want to give that much info that’s why they don’t say it directly and just say “mister”.
PvE achievement points got a leaderboard… and they don’t mean anything.
If it’s 1 vs. 1 only then the downed person always is dead… unless the other one still up is not low at health and stupid enough to also get downed(which can mean a disadvantage against certain classes… like Guardian that can heal a bit with 3 in downed vs downed fight which means even if he was downed ealier he still might win).
So if I’m low health I try to move somewhere where I can’t be hit and heal… then stomp or just attack him dead with normal attacks(by the time I healed he will have 2 and 3 ready so normal attacks might be better).
Only problem is if there are more people… but then it does not need to be balanced – cause it is more people… and every team can have one of each class nearby that their own strenght and weaknesses. Downed is totally fine. The only crappy thing is the unlimited rallying.
Nobody cares about 1 vs 1 in WvW because this is not balanced for 1 vs 1. Same for GvG. Go sPvP and buy a Custom Arena one they are available for everyone and go GvG there(or if you want bigger team size than 10 complain to ArenaNet and tell them to make other maps). WvW is not intended for GvG… otherwise the name would have been GvG from the beginning and only organized guilds would play it.
Al by all fun wvwvw week, but a more balanced setup for next week would be nice. Since last week we did dominated and this week we get crushed, guess everything does have its price
.
Yes. I also hope for a more balanced matchup next week. I also noticed on Underworld it seems there are a different amount of players playing each day… I think last matchup when we were strong at the end of the weekend and beginning of the week we controlled everything… at the end of the week the last few days we were a bit weaker(others often managed to get back their keep in EB)… same at reset friday.
So I fear it might get a bit more boring the next few days until friday… we already saw it the last days. Sunday, monday we recaptured our keep on EB really fast. Yesterday it took until late evening to get enough people online on EB to do something there. I fear this might continue. At the moment 5-10 people zerg… can’t do much but trying to capture a 1 tower but that already seems impossible if there is already waiting a scout to call about 20 defenders that are enough(AR does not even need their main zerg… maybe in 2-3 hours they will need it… I hope we have enough people to try attacking keep then).
The problem here is that people are way too focused on “rewards” (Loot, WXP, etc) instead of winning.
That’s because WvW ist not about winning. If you want to play something for winning you play tPvP.
They should release some official FAQ. I read a lot about this… even in the German forums I read a lot of stuff from experience German players that play a lot 24/7 WvW and always different stuff. If even the experienced players don’t know it for sure ArenaNet should make an official FAQ – especially if they seem(according to some sites like Millenium) to make about 30% of the total points a server gets.
Better than having to read all the patch notes ever made(and then maybe looking for bugs if something works different than in the patch notes mentioned).
Wow… I did not even know blind affects these AoE skills… never paid that much attention to it buw not what I remember sometimes the failed this might have been blind.
This really makes no sense… should only affect skills where you need to target – directly aimed skills. Not ground targeted AoE(maybe if blind move the AoE location so he hits somewhere else but still hits chars standing there at that other location)… and that AoE around your char(like with that guardian downed skill or engineer downed 3 – I think it is called Point Blank AoE) should always hit… cause there is just no targeting and he is hitting everything around him. Makes no sense for it to be affected by blindness.
I only started to play WvW serious a few weeks ago(when they introduced rank chests). And so far I never paid for upgrading towers… I’m not much of gold farmer and I want to save the money for myself. I still get rewards(even more and better) if the towers are lost and then retaken(more events).
And last 2 matchups we either were a lot stronger or a lot weaker… meaning:
a lot stronger = no upgrade needed cause we can hold stuff even with upgrades
a lot weaker = no use upgrading… cause with 20 against 100 we can’t do much even if we upgrade
And it it is a balanced matchup there is still the issue with players sleeping(we are not a 24/7 server) while other servers might have players online capturing stuff.
Not a real incentive… maybe they should increase the points per tick for upgraded stuff… like: everything T1 researched gives 1.2 times the amount of points for that objective. Everything T2 researched 1.5 times the amount. Everything T3(now really EVERYTHING) upgraded 2.0 times the amount of points.
Only thing I like to upgrade is the supply upgrade for camps. 10 silver is cheap – even I can afford it(even though the camps are lost even more frequently) and it brings tons of supplies to the towers where others paid much more money to buy the upgrade and need that supplies there(also increases max storage of camp to 125 nice for more players to resupply there).
Server Match-up is fine. We are winning!
http://oi41.tinypic.com/ivls94.jpg
At least while the person that placed the siege is present on the map it should never expire. Only make the timer start once the person leaves the map.
So how much points do you get each sentry and dolyak? I always read people mentioning they are giving points… but this is not even shown ingame – maybe that’s why nobody is doing this.
ArenaNet might consider removing the points from Dolyaks and Sentries. Only objectives captured should give points – because only these are mentiond ingame. That “hidden points” should be removed.
Also I heard if 2 or more people kill the same Dolyak it will give more points? Is this true? I mean it is the same Dolyak… should not matter if 1 person killed it or 2 or more.
Killing a dolyak on its way to a destination is worth 1 point per player taking part in the kill. (I haven’t tested this after the killing blow rule – only the server landing the killing blow gains points)
Dolyaks respawn at rate of 1 per 7.5 minutes.
If there is a tower along dolyak’s path to keep/castle and the keep/castle is hostile, the dolyak will run back to the camp after reaching tower and starts a new round. This results in more supplies to the tower as one round takes less than 7.5 minutes. But no more dolyak killing opportunities.
If dolyak reaches its destination tower/keep/castle, the server gains 3 points.
Capturing a sentry point is worth 1 point. On enemy borderland the enemy is likely to flip the sentry right back. The net effect is that the 3rd server left 1 point behind. Hardly worth the time invested.
So how much do the points increase if more than 1 players are killing that sentry? And if it does not increase is there a reason why not? Why is it different than with Dolyaks?
Also why do more people give more points killing 1 Dolyak? I mean it does get easier to kill with more than 1 player… should give less points instead cause it was easier. Also we do not get more points for each defender in the keep… always the same fixed amount. They should remove this from Dolyaks.
The only think that seems to make sense would be to cap the points for killing a Dolyak to 3(if 4 players kill it they won’t get 4? or even more points if more players kill it). Cause this would be balanced then… if the defender also can get 3 points by defending it until it reaches it’s end location.
(edited by Luthan.5236)
I sure hope they did disable all the fireworks – including the new one(which gives a MF buff at the end) you can buy at the gem store at the moment). Would make no sense to treat them different.
As engineer I place a Big ol’ Bomb(aoe launch) before trying to rez a downed guy. This often works(or mine). This often works against single stealtht guys or a few moving there without stealth to stomp… of course if there is an enemy zerg aoeing that location or focusing single damage on him it won’t help that much.
Stability is more of a problem… but this is limited(and can also be used to rez – I myself then use a lot of knockback/launch stuff with my engineer to stop enemies doing this… much more fan than standing at 1500 range and throwing grenades in the zerg).
Why do I have to pay repair cost while outmanned when just the seconde I get killed a few persons join the map and we lose the outmanned buff?
I think this shoulds be fixded.
The buff needs a timer. You only should get it if you are outmanned for more than 5 minutes… and then it should be on a 5 minute timer(if enough people joined so you would not be outmanned anymore it should count down from 5 minutes to 0 – should people leave again it should set back to 5 minutes).
I don’t think this could be exploited. Just too many users to be coordinated. On the high tiered servers it never will happen… there are players that just want to play and they would lose their spot and have to go in queue again for hours. Lower tiered… I don’t know about Vabbi… but do they not always have that buff because of almost no one playing WvW?
Only mid tiered servers could try to do exploiting but I doubt they can do much because lots of players need to join and leave. Would need big guilds doing this… and then they only have 5 minutes… after leaving and rejoining(while they still have the buff) to do something big to take advantage of it.
So are there 3 on every map only? And is it same like with other stuff(fireworks, pinatas) that you can use them every 24 hours with all your chars?
Would mean I could just use all my chars to do the 3 in Gendarran Fields then wait until tomorrow and repeat.
Oh… I almost forgot about this thread…
Did not even know you could only see the icon of the commander whose squad you joined after joining a squad. We usually have only 1 commander tagged up at the lower tier server I’m playing.
That’s sounds bullkitten. I mean you don’t even know if you are in a squad… so if you join while only 1 commander is visible and later some other commanders tag up and you “forgot” you joined a squad you don’t know this.
Also there seems no way to leave the squad… other then maybe some chat commands? Cause there is no UI obviously you can’t click anywhere to leave so you’d have to google the commands if there are any.
As I said in some other thread already: This should be one of the top priorities to improve the commander. They are making them pay 100 gold for having the icon only(which can be useful for unorganized people).
Other stuff like chat can be completely disregarded cause nobody uses it.
It’s not that the WvW thieves are better(they might be better if they have better equipment and manage to kill a lot of low leveld and/or bad equipped players but this is no real “better”).
I think it’s just that in sPvP the players actually learn to do PvP(instead of zerging) and how to counter thieves – which means the thief seems weaker there… making you think there are better thieves in WvW(if you read all the whine in the forums – there is certainly more whining about thieves in WvW forums).
This won’t affect you if you are an experienced sPvP/tPvP player and go to WvW… since then you already know how to fight thieves from the sPvP/tPvP. Of course then they don’t seem stronger to you in WvW(as long as they don’t have much better equipment).
Too bad. I have over 100 of these and was waiting for Anet to say they were bugged in WvW but would soon be usable. (I definitely remember using fireworks from boxes o’ fun in WvW). WvW would be a great place to use these since we have so much to celebrate (taking SM, towers, keeps, camps…).
Now I’m just gonna delete the whole stack.
That stuff should at least be account bound… so I could move it all to 1 char… this way I really have to delete it or waste it for nothing at Lion’s Arch to get the inventory slots empty cause I don’t need this to take up 1 slot at every char I’m playing.
Make it timed only. Possible to place it only at specific locations.
And: It should cost a lot – also there should be a global CD meaning if you placed one and it disappeard after a timer of like x minutes(maybe 2-3 minutes) then nobody can place one at the same spot anymore for x minutes/ or hours(maybe like 1 hour).
Global/nobody meaning: Somene else also has that CD and not 10 people can place barriers one after another for a very long time.
Barrier itself should be invulnerable to be able to buy some time for a zerg to arrive and help.
This way 1 person could inform the own zerg if an enemy zerg is arriving… and instead “hey enemy zerg incoming to camp” … few seconds later “camp lost” – while the own zerg had no chance to go there to defend it will be possible to buy time this way. But not unlimited.
If own zerg still does not arrive within the few additional minutes bought or of the enemies are strong enough to defeat it then they still can claim the objective. Also the CD should help to prevent doing this countless times… they should than try to defend it or scout very very early for the next 1 hour.
It is intentional. I believe it resets at midnight UTC, but I’m not sure about that. It is the case that you can loot the chests 1 time per day per account, not per 24 hours. So if you log on right before the reset, it should work fine.
I’m sorry… but is this really correct? I know it is once per account but I don’t think there is 1 fixed reset every day like with the daily achievements. I one time had the problem where I did the JP late at a day and wanted to do it the next day but earlier(the daily achievement reset between these 2 attempts). Chest appeared opened. Then I asked in the German forums and some other experienced players told me it is a 24 hours timer that exactly measuers 24 hours since the last time you opened the chest.
Like: If I opened it now I’d have to wait 24 hours to open it again… not a fixed reset in like 15 hours.
Also if I open it before the match reset at friday and then try to open it shortly after the match reset it will show closed(not opened) chest but no option to interact. I heard it was possible to open it after the match reset and he did not remember the time you opened it last and reset it then but it seems this is not possible anymore?
That squad definitely needs an UI. Somewhere it is mentioned the max size is 30 players only? I can only join it from the M map… selecting the commander itself on the main screen does not help(I don’t see the option there only for blocking and only party related stuff). Also I don’t know if I joined the squad… – no message – nothing at all… it still offers the option “join squad” and I only know that I joined if he uses the squad chat which is barely used.
This is completely useless utter crap. You have them pay 100 gold just for the commander icon – which is the only useful thing for WvW for non organizied people that don’t use TS. If you are not using TS and there is not a commander usually tons of people talk different stuff in the chat and you don’t know where to go. If there is a commander icon you just go there(and on the way there – if he is far outside – you check on other stuff with swords icon appearing and help there if needed and enough other allies nearby).
Definitely needs an UI and is the most “still beta”-stuff in the game. Should be one of the top priorities imho.
Edit: Someone talked about “grouping options”. I think we need something like for example WAR: So you can have parties of the usual size within the squad. Like squad 30 people and then 6 parties of 5 and the leader cand put them according to classes to make balanced sub-groups(parties) and direct them. Would greatly help for people not using TS.
(edited by Luthan.5236)
Don’t forget to add a food that makes you immune to conditions then. Call it “Anti Condition Food”. Duration 30 minutes.
Also: Who cares about stealth? If some thiefes are hiding in a keep just search better and if a group of thiefes if going around the the zerg then search better – I’m sure they need to get out of stealth sometimes between all the skills that put them back into stealth. One of the 100+ people of your zerg should see them.
I only see it a problem in 1 vs. 1 – which certainly is not a WvW problem because WvW is about zergs.
It also is not a problem in sPvP because people there are more skilled and don’t whine about stealth(there are still a few but usually other classes are considered more OP and stealth is not a problem).
Cat tonic is still possible to use. I don’t think fireworks can be used for griefing… other than do distract people or notice the enemy even if you are trying to hide with your zerg(and you already can do this other ways).
Also why does /rank emote not work in WvW? Don’t tell me you can also use it to grief? Why is that stuff there in the first place? I mean if you can use it to grief you also could just use it in PvE… remove it completely then.
Join the top rated server … cause once they start to give rewards to the winning server the top rated server will win most of the time.
I have 6 and it shows 60 percent. Didn’t the patch notes of latest build say it got lowered to 8 total? Means I should be at 76 percent.
Bug(or forgot to change it)? Or does it only update once I get the next achievement counting there.
We would like to have a system that rewards servers at the end of a matchup based on their performance and are working out all we’ll need to do to make that happen. Ideally it will give extra rewards for winning while still rewarding everyone for participating. All that being said, it’s hard to know what form the final version will take. Hopefully we’ll have something to get everyone excited to fight for victory.
So based on performance mans if in an imbalanced matchup a server is still performing good enough even though he is losing(but still enough points to win rating) they will be rewarded? Otherwise it would make no sense cause there are always stronger servers just because they have more players and if you match them against the weaker servers victory will be decided from the beginning and rewards will only cause to stop players playing on the weaker servers cause they think it is not fair just to play WvW to help the stronger server farm then and then in the end get a reward.
There should be no rewards for servers.
Rewards should be for players based on how they perform(like it already is at the moment with giving rewards for capturing stuff). Maybe think about increasing the rewards for defending(defending and holding stuff gives more points to help the server winning but for players it is at the moment better to just lose stuff and retake it because of more events and WXP).
The points each objective gives should increase with the time you defend and hold it… until a cap is reached.
Like: Tower x points after it is captured.
After 1 hour 2x points.
After 6 hours 3x points. (it multiplies by +1 more each tier but takes much longer time to reach the next… until a cap).
Also give more rewards for killing people while defending that stuff if you can hold and defend it longer(for people killed in the radius of the event).
I talked about this in German forums but someone said “this will give too much rewards because defenders already get every 3 minutes an event”… but it just needs to be balanced. You can balance everything while trying to give more incentive to defend.
It’s fun. I’m playing at Underworld(I’m German and I don’t like to play on German servers).
Balanced matches are always the best. If we are too strong – like last matchup – it is boring.
If imbalanced then I prefer to be weaker like this matchup. We are still holding good against AR. Unfortunalely FR is a bit weaker… and we are at the moment outmanned again(and no commander). I hope to see a bit more people online at the evening at UW so we can have some more fun.
Also Jumping Puzzle might be fun… but not many enemies there(seems the guys from AR prefer to take all the keeps, tower, camps instead of going JP) – at least we can hold our keep and have access to JP… last week it was boring there when we held all the keeps and no enemies. JP only fun with enemies there.
I still think NA and EU servers should be trialled to play against each other, see if the server lag does really make any difference to overall result
I agree. Would be interesting to fight people from the US. But the main problem probably is the different time zones. While Europe is sleeping the US have late afternoon/evening and can be online at full force the whole time we are sleeping without problems. It would require that a lot of players transfer between the servers and in the end there were no NA/US and only mixed servers that have people from all the timezones. (Meaning free transfers are needed and some way to get the people to use them and transfer).
I don’ think lag is a problem in MMORPGs. In shooters lag might be a problem because you have to aim. In MMORPGs it is not that important… at least if it’s not that big like if you are playing on Australian server while being in the EU.
Main problems causing the annoying lags are old computer(fps lag) or the server side skill lags if there is so much stuff to calculate the server can’t handle it… not network lag. Network lag is not a big issue.
I have 7… but only 5 count. I think the Dragon Ball achievements still don’t count and need to be fixed.
