The mystic forge area has always been bad.

During BWE2 you would drop 30fps+ just walking into the area. They have optimized it a fair bit since, but it’s still not perfect.

thats the sad part, intel have made VERY VERY minor changes to the socket just to force people to buy more chipsets…..

Actually the reason Haswell is using a new socket is that it’s moving the VRM (voltage regulation module) from the motherboard to the CPU.

Not exactly a minor change, and not something that can be made backwards compatible.

I was thinking of upgrading my graphics card and leaving the rest as it is, but, as I said, I’m no expert and cant say for sure if thats the bottle neck in my system.

Although your graphic card is quite low spec, the CPU will bottleneck any graphics card you upgrade to.

Make a shortcut to your GW2.exe, and change it to:

“C:\something\GW2.exe” -windowed

(something being where the file is, don’t rename it to “something” :P)

Been having the same issue, I have a 600 series NVIDIA just downloaded the 310.90 as well, than I tried the beta 313.96 still the same issue.

Weird, I’m not having the issue on 313.96, but have had it on older drivers.

Also, a place that always bugs out is Umberglade Mill in WvW Eternal Battlegrounds.

I didn’t think races actually had their own racial icons. Were you specifically referring to the Iron Legion?

If we can’t have the same for Engineers, then that would be a little disappointing since every engineer’s character creation screen has gears grinding away.

More correctly it would be the icon for the Black Citadel, but the racial capital icons are often referenced as standing for a race.

For example, during Wintersday each race had it’s own snowflake decoration in Lion’s Arch, and the Charr snowflake was based on a gear.

Oh, and to answer OP’s question, you need to only reward first place, and punish second and third equally. Only then will they team up on the leader instead of fighting for second place.

The scoreboard would be fine if it actually represented correct scores. unfortunately with the culling and invisible armies the scoring is a joke that that does not really represent a server’s capability when you get killed by invisible people

Actually, it would be cool if you could ride a dolyak in. Not like a mount, just on the usual set course.

Interact with one to jump on their back for the ride; which also gives you a bundle weapon like a old west coach gun that hits for a truckload (yakload? :P), and a whip to give swiftness to the yak.

Yaks need mechanics that allow you to actually defend them against attackers.
Thieves can just ignore defenders and burst down the yak, so there’s no point defending them a lot of the time.

It really is bad design.

Skill 2 is meant to have synchronicity with skill 3; but the problem with that is it makes skill 2 only useful once skill 3 is off cooldown. It thereby effectively make skill 2’s cooldown equal to skill 3, which only gives us skill 1 to use.

Most important thing ArenaNet should do is to remove the Grenadier trait (3 grenades instead of 2), then buff damage 50% and increase the radius to compensate. That way Grenade kit would be usable without requiring a 30 point trait.

No other class is forced to go 30 points down a line just to use one of their weapons.

Because Med Kit was never fixed.

Med kit is fine the way it is, as in really good for buffing yourself. Try any rune that activates on heal and you’ll see why a lot of people would be upset with this “fix”

I’m not talking about that bug; I’m talking about how it operates in mid air.
If you press ` while falling you can’t unequip Med Kit.

“Auxillary Powered Gloves” have an annoying small red section on the back of the gloves at the top that shouldn’t be there. It always stays red and cannot be dyed.

The correct spelling is also “Auxiliary”

So right when we’re about to have a rating reset, WM mysteriously decides to take a break which will result in Kaineng being in a very low tier.

Then when WM comes back, Kaineng immediately jumps to T2 strength and facerolls it’s low tier competition.

Not only does it look like WM is scared of a fair fight, it’s also ruins WvW for the servers that will be on the losing side of the blowout matches, and that’s pretty low.

Flamethrower now works on a fixed horizontal plane and fires straight ahead unless you have a target.

Previously it aimed based on camera direction and only refreshed its attack angle when you moved. Because we have a top down camera, people would often shoot through the ground if they didn’t know about having to manually aim.

The result of the change should be a lot less missed attacks for many players

I ve a similar problem.

Almost everyminute, mu CPU goes from 3.4Ghz to 1Ghz for about 10 sec that causes really stutter in game. Otherwise it just runs flawlessly.

Go to power settings in windows and set it to high performance / always on.
It should disable cpu downclocking.

I think the problem is familiarity.

People that haven’t played an Ele have no idea what the skills on summon weapon are, so when they pick one up they’re pretty much just blindly spamming skills. Thus people stick to their own weapons as they know them better.

I don’t like Quaggan very much, but the broomstick is definitely a must-have for everyone who appreciate nonsense and fun items.

Btw when your char is flying around with it, you don’t sit on it but rather hang on the broom like it suddenly came to life.

I thought Charr surfed on the broom. Could have sworn I’ve seen a Charr surfing around on the broom during Halloween.

The across the board “huge buff” is a placebo (unless you’re low level), but they have definitely played with the damage coefficient on a number of skills. Grenades are more or less the same, Flamethrower is a bit higher, Tool Kit seems to be a truckload higher (doesn’t surprise me as Jon Peters has said it’s his favorite…).
