And Longbow warrior1400 range then ; like engineer nades because IRL i never found anyone able to throw a nade farer that an arrow…
Never found anyone IRL that can turn invisible or shoot fireballs either.
Also, living world content is feeling more and more reskinned.
Every patch is gather this, go to all these places around the world, or zerg kill this.
It feels like the game designers are working from a set list of events they can use, instead of creating new unique events.
EDIT:
Lastly :P,
Don’t make lazy content.
The perfect example is the fireworks launchers in Dragon Bash. Having to run around and interact with 100 fireworks launchers is meaningless and just not fun.
It would only take a tiny bit more effort to make a mini storyline where “Fireworks Krewe Leader Bangi” had his fireworks stolen by some skritt, and needs you to find them (i.e. scavenger hunt) throughout Lions Arch. Then maybe once you find them all, Bangi says the fireworks detonator is still missing, and you need to killing a boss Skritt for it.
It’s only moderately more design work, but it turns a boring meaningless grind into something somewhat compelling.

I feel living story could be a lot better if players knew where the story was headed, and if the story continued in a more linear fashion.
At the moment it just feels way too Pulp Fiction.
As an example, could you imagine how awesome the Orr storyline would of been if its zones were added over a patch span of a few months, with players claiming territory and pushing back the risen as we marched toward Zaitan.
You don’t like men being treated the way women have been for decades in most media and video games, you don’t like the fact GW2 favors portraying women in important roles rather than men, and you think this is a issue that needs to be fixed or “balanced”?
You’re basically saying:
male dominated = bad
female dominated = good
Stop being petty and wanting “revenge” for past gender inequality.
The solution to sexism is not sexism in the other direction, it’s equality.

Having mandatory skills to participate in content is a bad idea.
(This skill appears to be the only way to cleanse the new Toxin condition)A core element of my Engineer build needs medkit as my heal skill, and having to run a mandatory healing skill would require me to re-trait and re-gear every time I do this content.
What makes you think that you NEED to cleanse Toxin though?
For all we know it will be fully possible to outheal it (if it does damage).
IMO they wouldn’t of gone to the development effort of adding a new Toxin cleansing skill if existing healing skills would suffice.

Working as intended.
Transfering to a T1 server and complaining about queues is like going to a strip club and complaining about seeing boobies. What did you expect?
It’s what happens when you balance the game around sPvP and ignore all other game modes.
The thing is, warrior is broken also in spvp
Good. Now that they’re OP in sPvP it means they’ll immediately nerf them in the very next patch.
Can’t have sPvP snowflakes putting up with OP warriors like WvW has for months…

Different colors are great and all that, but I’d rather have a commander icon that looks like a cookie
Dorito is not doing it anymore for you?
Only so many Doritos you can nom before you get bored of them.
And besides, cookies are way more delicious!

It takes what, 4? 5? hours on average to fully upgrade a keep.
Meanwhile a golem rush will cap it in under a minute.
The defender who upgraded and scouted the keep will be out 2g+ and get no rewards for 5 hours work.
An attacker who ran alongside the golems with the rest of the zerg will get a champion chest, karma, coin and WXP for their 1 minute of “work”.
(edited by Mif.3471)
The only rational reason to not stack on a T1 server, is that you’re more likely to be stuck in a queue, and this new system is specifically designed to completely eliminate that drawback.

I guess I wont be completing this since in order to get it, I must complete 13 achievements and there’s only 11 listed. And one has to complete “A Sweet Friend” to access 3 of them.
The Halloween themed daily achieves count towards the 13, and the content will be live for a month.
Bug has been present for quite a while now
He’s meant to dance to his epic AOE techno, like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1RJyHy8Eho
But now he just stands around, like this:
1) Population balance
Effectively predetermined match outcomes don’t make for inspiring competition.
2) Defending vs attacking rewards and time investment
Defenders spend hours to fully upgrade a keep, do tedious work, get no rewards and negligible WXP, and have to pay gold for upgrades out of their own pocket.
Attackers can golem rush a fully upgraded keep in less than a minute, have more fun playing, get rewards and WXP, and their only possible cost is siege equipment which is bought for badges not gold.
3) WvW class balance
Completely ignored by an sPvP-centric balance team

I blame bookahs!
Jelly of the apprentice.
Jelly of the disco stick.
I’ve now noticed the same problem from Black Citadel too.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop Bill
What DOES keep all the angry peeps playing? I am asking seriously. What makes you log in to this game instead of one of our million other choices? Let’s find that and make more.
Angry complainers mean the game is healthy. It shows people care about the game.
When they stop complaining, that’s when a game is in trouble, because it means they’ve stopped caring.
This bug is awfully depressing in game.
D:
Very annoying bug due to Accountancy WP being the main WP in Rata Sum.
As a result you have to WP twice to get there from LA.
I suspect the issue is due to the map layer UI not enabled in LA.
I makes picture to helps
Problem is with the new Asura ponytail hair.
When I wield my weapon and enter my combat stance, a rogue polygon grows out from my fringe.
Having two colors on the accessory but only one dye channel is VERY annoying.
I really don’t see how that’s comparable to a flat 50% damage increase to the weapon/kit.
BTW that means so good it is worth investing 30 points for much like HGH,
There is a difference between “worth investing in” and an absolutely mandatory requirement to use a weapon/kit.
The grenadier trait is horrible design. We’re meant to be a versatile class, yet we have to spend 30 points in to a trait line just to use a kit on a viable level.
Could you imagine the reaction if they, for example, forced Warriors to spec 30 points into a random trait line to get “Greatsword skills do 50% more damage”.
Keep Stonemist, but add a new rule where when an inner gate is broken, attackers must do a lap of the outer courtyard before defenders can do a lap of the outer courtyard, thus effectively turning Stomemist capturing into a complex game of duck duck goose.
Ahahahahahahahahaha! Good one! Suggesting Anet will not milk everyone for gems? Comedy gold!
Yeah, what a bunch of scumbags. How dare they release an MMO without the usual $15 monthly fee and sell optional cosmetic items to pay their staff.
as i already stated in another topic…GvGers are a waste of spots and only in the way on the battlefield, so absolutely yes give them an instance / open pvp area far away from real WvW players.
Hi zerglet.
And this is why people dislike the GvG playerbase.
He supports the GvG cause, and yet you still find the need to insult him with petty name calling because he’s not personally into GvG.
(edited by Mif.3471)
I didn’t see a single person in map chat saying they didn’t like the map changes.
This thread is a perfect demonstration of how the forums only represents a small minority of the playerbase, who will complain about anything.
Then you don’t understand the risks of overclocking at all.
If you actually knew what you’re talking about, you would of made an actual technical point to support your argument other than “I know more than you do”.
Also, the only reason it happens on an overclocked system, is that by having more computational power via overclocking you raise the CPU bottleneck to a point where the game can actually use enough ram to have the OOM error.
Furthermore:
Your stuborn discussion is keeping this thread away from the issue others have as well. I know you are the OP and I am thankfull for bringing this issue forward. But I ask you to let this go, so the problem can actually be tackled.
1) You are not “the boss” of this forum.
2) You do not have a right to come into a thread someone made, tell them they’re wrong, you’re right, and that they should shut up
3) The only one being stubborn here is you. You made your point, your suggestion was noted, stop hijacking the thread.
@Malediktus, just ignore him.

It’s funny that you don’t get the 6th vapirism rune though… that 6 piece bonus is just such garbage that it’s better to just get additional stats.
The fact alone that you can use your toolbelt heal while in mist form (as of a month ago when I used them last, post Elixir s nerf) makes it far from garbage.
The main problem with 6 piece Vamparism is the unreliability of them triggering. I’ve always suspected that could be helped by stacking vitality to raise the 10% trigger point, but I never tested it because I like my toughness too much.
I got nothing against GvG, but at the same time if they put in some sort of spvp style gvg arena wouldn’t that take a lot of players out of WvW? That would make WvW worse for a lot of players.
Lets not try to derail this thread. This has very little, if anything at all, to do with GvG.
Meanwhile half his video is ranting that WvW isn’t GvG.
Try letting then download start, close it, then overwrite with the full gw2.dat file.
They hate the PvP community.. They don’t give 2 kittens about us.. They are more interested and care about their Precious “Town Clothes” and weird Role Players to give a single kitten about the normal people who love PvP
Not sure if satire, or just very……
G13 does.
Advanced macro commands are against the GW2 TOS though.
To allow a blob of people to kill an enemy through passive damage without player involvement is terrible design.
Unfortunately since this only effects WvW, and not sPvP, the balance devs don’t give a kitten.
Why can you claim towers without active buffs anyway?
And why does a claim remain after buffs drops?
Seems like a simple design fix.
The 3 different game types and splitting skills. Splitting skills between all 3 of our game types (PvE, PvP, WvW) is very costly – it takes more time to split the skills, and then upkeep the split skills. Instead of upkeeping 1 version of a skill, whenever you make future changes, you now have to make sure all 3 are appropriately balanced for their respective game types
Since you refuse to split skills because it’s more work, and because you personally only care about the sPvP playerbase, balance in other game modes is only going to get worse than it’s already poor state.
And while I’m sure you’d refute the claim that you only care about the sPvP playerbase, this thread is a great example of your favoritism. You’ve gone to the effort to make a thread in the sPvP forum, full of long posts about balance to reassure sPvP players.
Yet meanwhile look at your post history:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/members/JonathanSharp-7094/showposts
In your last 120 posts, over nearly 6 months, only 10 posts aren’t in the sPvP forum.
For someone who’s meant to be responsible for balance of all game modes, you clearly aren’t interested in the balance concerns and opinions of players of game modes that aren’t sPvP.
Bottom line is, the fact that the team responsible for class balance is the same team responsible for sPvP is an enormous conflict of interest, and that greatly damages balance in the rest of the game.
feeding those double teaming jack holes their humble pie.
Jokes on you, we love pie.
And I thought matchup threads with Maguuma were bad.
Sad.
This guy is beyond reasoning
The problem is more that you’re all not seeing things from his perspective, which is that you’re the ones being unreasonable.
Do you really think you’re going to convince the WvW team to effectively remove the largest design element of Borderlands Bloodlust, a update they’re proud of and have worked on for 6 months, so they can enable people who ridicule them to play a gamemode that isn’t even WvW?
If you were smart enough to put your collective effort into trying to convince them to do something reasonable and attainable (for example, making very small map changes to the EB jump puzzle to give a large enough area to host GvG, have the Borderlands Bloodlust buff not apply in the JP, and allow people to enter the JP via the WvW UI), then you’d actually have a chance at getting results.
The Darwinian nurture of progeny is the secret to our collective brilliance.
The reason people tend to think they need huge power supplies, is too often review websites quote power consumption “measured at the wall”, and people interpret that as how large their PSU needs to be.
What people need to realize is, PSU’s are rated for the power they deliver, not the power they consume. That rating is expressed as, for example, 650w at 80% efficiency.
If you measure the power draw at the wall, you’re also measuring the 20% that’s lost as heat, which means that a 650w at 80% efficiency power supply will draw up to 800w.
