8/10. Great backstory, cool roleplay elements, but the name Silvershield sounds a little Norn doesn’kitten
ValderIgnis, Greater Flame in latin, is the name of my Human Guardian. Blessed by Balthazar he crushes his foes under the weight of his Greatsword, and protects his foes with the powerful shield Kryta’s Embrace. His weapons are gifts from Balthazar, the Greatsword being ascended and godlike, the Shield a gift to help him face down the legions hidden away in the Tower of Nightmares (dropped for me there).
I was pugging AC P1 once. They decided to skip Kholer so I lured him into the burrow room where he obliterated everyone. 10 seconds later I saw the Plains of Ashford loading screen.
You kind of deserved it tbh. It’s really funny, but totally understandable that they would kick you.
I think I’ll just use all my extra tokens and buy potions for the dungeon and offer it to my pugs.
Who’s Drooburt?
Boss > Sugar.

TRAHEARNE!!!
Anet, just bring in Trahearne and let Mordy squeezeeeee him, and then munch on him!Trahearne is EVIL.
Fact.
But then Mordremoth would get corrupted.
Why does having higher HP and Armor help you with the Mordrem mobs? Dodge the jump attack and then kill it before it can do it again. Plus CC and Support can be done in Berserker’s gear since their isn’t CC or Support gear.
Read the main post again, since it seems you didn’t read it at all.
Armor affects your Aggro Rating, more you have, the more likely mobs will come for you.
1. closest target to them
2. who is dealing damage
3. top damage dealers
4. who is using a shield / has more toughness and overall armor
5. others (see Tanking tactics below)Combo of 1, 2 and 4, will give you high aggro rating.
If we are both in melee then we are both about the same rangge, so #1 applies to both, we are both dealing damage so #2 applies to both of us, I’m the top damage dealer so #3 applies only to me, and #4 applies only to them. So it really just depends on which gains more aggro, #3 or #4. And why does drawing aggro help anymore here than elsewhere? It just means you get to be the one to dodge the leap skill from the wolves.
I think Anet should give the players the vote as to who bites the dust first. Like another Ellen Vs Evon moment.
You realize the community is still hostile over Evon vs Ellen right? Do you want to FURTHER divide the community?

All I ask are skins like the Primordus skins. They can be gotten through play and then traded around between players. I will never buy a skin from the gemstore (so when I recommend the game to people I can say I haven’t paid anything more than my initial $60), but also don’t want to be forced to do content I don’t want to do.
Let’s not make Belinda’s death a sad thing ArenaNet, let us have her sword!
I’ll dig her up and take the sword then. Like I said, my character has murdered countless Inquest, Dredge, Bandits, Flame Legion, and Centaurs. I’m not above digging up a body for a sword.
So Belinda is dead. Can I have her Greatsword now? I’m not above looting a body, as evidence by the fact some of my gear dropped from enemies. Maybe as a keep sake or something?
What about WvW?
Hahahahahahahaha…
Kittenroaches O_O someone’s been a bad kitty if kitten roach hybrids are runnin’ around.
I forget. I have a bunch of potions clogging up my inventory, but I rarely remember to double click them >.<
I want to start trying for a precursor, but I’m afraid if I start throwing gold into the forge I won’t stop.
Precurs are much rarer and more expensive to get than a your typical ascended weapons. Raising their status to ascended won’t affect the price or their drop rate. Prices are driven by demand and rarity.
Why do it at all? There’s like a 5% difference, and you most likely wouldn’t waste your resources on an ascended weapon if you were going to get a legendary anyway.
Two handed weapons get a straight 10% bonus to damage iirc over their exotic counterparts.
I want more armor that looks like it belongs to that profession. Bones on Necro armor, Fire/Ice/Lightning on the Elementalist armor (changing based on atunement would be cool), more Medieval armor for my Warrior and Guardians.
I don’t hate Braham, and I actually really liked him back during Flame & Frost. “Oh, we’re so dead.” made me laugh pretty hard. I’d like him to think a little more. The Wiki page says he has Raven’s wit, but since Flame & Frost he feels like he’s lost all of that wit.
I’d prefer cool profession armors and weapons. The closest my Guardian has to that is Foefire’s Essence.
Actually if you talk to him he mentions he’s being let go soon because someone is buying his billet.
This is not an expansion, it’s free.
That’s where it differs I think.
I’ll happily pay for content that keeps me busy. I beat the LS in about forty minutes to an hour, and I don’t plan on replaying for achievements. That’s two weeks between logins. If they want to do LS they need to be able to release content in a timely enough manner to keep me logging on. The original Guild Wars released a campaign every year, adding two new classes, around 350 new skills and multiple new zones. One year of living story and we don’t have nearly that.
If you have 5k hours in this game, over the last two years, of course there’s not going to be anything to do. No developer in the world could ever make enough content for you.
Ever play WoW? Everyone takes a break for months until the new content comes out. Happens all the time.
I’d like to know where this mythical game is that has more content and keeps coming out with more content that can keep someone with 5000 hours happy.
My guess is only a sandbox MMO can do that, where content is continually created by playing it. Themepark MMOs will never support 5000 hours in two years.
GW1 did. Still playing it to this day 8+ years later.
We don’t talk about GW1 here.
Yeah, they’ve even confirmed the day it will be released!…
…the day Half-Life 3 launches.
2g/hour … Hm. I was expecting small numbers but in a game that is all about gold, 2 per hour is just horrible :x
Probably a bit more depending on drops, but since it’s now 15 minutes between world bosses that’s 15 minutes between guaranteed 50 silver (rare) drops.
Mix of two and four. The game needs more polish and balance as is, but the features are lacking.
You pretty much ruled everything out right there. World bosses could net you ~2gold/hour. You could try crafting, but I’ve had some bad luck with that in the past month or two.
After further consideration, I’m gonna have to stand against this. Conditions in this game are screwed up enough as it is. Let’s not make it any worse.
My suggestions:
Dungeons:
More of ‘em. I love dungeons. They are cool group content. They don’t need to be harder (that would kill puggers like myself), but I want more 3 path + story dungeons each with unique armor and weapons. I also want boss fights with more mechanics. The Iron Forgeman is my favorite of the dungeon bosses that I’ve tried so far. I want more bosses like him. I also want to see the end of stacking. It prevents players from becoming more skilled and makes dungeons less fun. Some stacking is fine, like stacking inside a Wall of Reflection.
Endgame: MORE SKINS. No gemstore BS unlockable skins that can be found in the Mystic Forge, dropped, or bought with tokens or gold, just give us more. I know it takes time and money to make the skins, but the Adventurer’s Mantle is not endgame. It’s a start, but we need more armor and weapons that can be earned.
Skills: Again, just give us more. The original skills were nice, but they’ve become repetitive. The ones added a while ago were nice, but most of them were underpowered. For my Guardian to replace his healing skill with the new one he’d need to do 40k damage in 6 seconds to match Signet of Resolve.
It depends on what you want to do in dungeons. Personally I have to say Berserker. I enjoy high DPS and it’s not like taking my Knight’s gear was letting me tank or anything.
(Sorry for the double post) I think if the unrezzed body of an NPC or player waits is there for more than about 10 minutes it should give disease to everyone that comes near it. Every additional 10 minutes it waits there generates another stack.
LOL!
You know I was thinking something similar actually, but 1 minute instead of 10 minutes. But I’m already at a point where the majority of people posting are either not sure about the ability for good balance in this condition or are just flat out against it entirely…. so suggesting something more like that would be over the top.
I originally had written a minute, but realized a good percent of people who go downed during a world boss don’t get up and with a maximum of 14 minutes of constantly spewing out disease? Sure, it might make us res them, but can you imagine what would happen if we all wiped because they didn’t have 2 silver to waypoint? I suppose since this will never be able to be balanced I’ll just stop trying though haha.

As for the suicide bomber tactic. That was a funny image, ty. I wasn’t really thinking you could transfer it to enemies through proximity, only allies.
If I can’t transfer to enemy players, I’m 100% against this. Normally I’m totally against trolling but if GW2 introduces suicide bombing I will be doing it all day.
But of course I could just get a buddy and treat it like the hammer from the Cliffside fractal.
Again, if that is your troll-like mind at work, tell me HOW you would stay infected while entering your home city?
I assumed this wouldn’t be treated like a condition, but if that’s not what’s being suggested I can just run around with my buddy in Queensdale or another map tagging groups of players. Or I could suicide in an enemy WvW zerg and watch them all die of it. That would be a really, really, awesome way to die.
Remove the racial discrimination, have it treated just like other conditions and it should be good (No waypoints, removable just like regular conditions).
People like me would get diseased on purpose and go on a rampage in their home city. That right there is why Guild Wars 2 does not need disease.
You’re not the first to say something like this. Please enlighten me on something, as I’m apparently not getting it, how exactly would you be able to get infected and keep the condition on yourself in a city?
Even talking about getting conditions outside of city zones, please tell me how long you can run around with a normal condition that already exists in this game?
I figured the condition, since it is disease, would last a long time, like a disease. If it only lasts a couple seconds it’s not really a disease now is it? But of course I could just get a buddy and treat it like the hammer from the Cliffside fractal.

I wonder if Kiel had been male would he still get bashed.
Evon voters are just as sexist as Kiel voters are racist. Trying to insult the character of someone for not liking the character you like is really, really low.
If it does become available, it will either be through the store, or given as reward for the completion of a certain episode (Perhaps one where Belinda dies? Who knows, ANet like killing off characters) which you then receive the sword as a momentum?
But as some of Kasmeer’s gear was available only through the store (If I recall, correct me otherwise), I would suspect Belinda’s is likely to be as well.
Don’t forget Marjory’s and Braham’s gear. That was gem store exclusive too.
I’d like content updates the first Tuesday of the month and a feature pack on the third Tuesday of the month. That’s just wishful thinking though.
1 – It’s thanks to him and his goods that we were able to defeat Scarlet. He provided the Lionguard with their equipment.
He was forced to do so by the Lionguard. Or be executed.
And who tried to rob him blind and/or execute him? Oh right, Kiel. She couldn’t even arm her own soldiers, and had to extort Evon. Not to mention she went on vacation during this time. No candidate is clean here.
I didn’t “rush” through the storyline, but I beat in it maybe an hour and am pretty much done. I’ll buy the nomad stuff so I can profit off of it later.
I refuse to buy anything from the gemstore, so I really hope it’s an in-game item. I doubt it will though.
I don’t think you understand. Look at how many people in this thread alone want this weapon. We can safely say that a ton more will love this thing. This gets released as free in-game, and you can bet it will be on the TP at a much higher price in gold than you would’ve had to convert for gems :/
If it’s a rare drop I’ll have more a chance of getting it than if it’s on the gem shop.
@Vol Marjory’s Axe, Kasmeer’s Staff, Braham’s Shield and Mace all cost 600 gems, so I see that being the price.
Compared to the rest of the NPCs in the game these guys are pretty much Liadri’s!
I refuse to buy anything from the gemstore, so I really hope it’s an in-game item. I doubt it will though.
And Belina’s GS is in the wardrobe so you can complete your ninja look.
Normally my LFGs say “All welcome” but now they’re gonna say “No TVH”.
