In PvE? Roleplaying, or commandering.
In PvP it might make a fun bunker build actually.
You people complain too much.
I’ve opened at least 150+ chests so far, and gotten zero. Am I complaining? No. For two reasons:
1. What’s the rush? The chests have good loot, so I’m going to be farming them anyways. Just because I don’t have a weapon now, doesn’t mean I wont get one later. It’s not a big bother, nor’ do I lose any money trying. (Quite the contrary, chests are quite profitable…)
2. RNG adds a much needed flavour to RPGs like Guild Wars 2, and were long missing since the days of Guild Wars 1. Yes, you reading it right: GW2 needs more RNG. It needs the satisfaction of opening a chest and getting that rare item drop, or at least the excitement of trying for one.
Settle down, Beavis.
I guess you like the way precursors work, too.
No. We don’t need another reason for legendary weapons to become more and more common. They’re already becoming pennies in a coin jar at this point, but we dont need more of them because you no longer need to buy sigils.
It would only make them equivelent to ascended. Right now they are effectivley worse because it costs more to make a legendary than the several ascended weapons you need for multiple build. Not to mention each ascended weapon gets a good sigil for that build.
At one point Legendaries had the same stats as exotics. Let’s keep that in mind.
What point are you trying to make?
You said that legendaries were effectively worse than ascended weapons because for the same price you could have multiple ascended weapons with multiple sigils, and it wouldn’t be as expensive. The thing is, legendaries are supposed to just be skins. You could get plenty of exotics for the price of a legendary, yet players still went after it for the skin. It’s always been cheaper to just get a bunch of different weapons than to get a legendary. I’m not sure why you want to change that.
He reflected the attack. What’s the problem?

Afaik cleric’s gear scales very poorly. For every 100 healing power, you’ll only heal 1 more hp. If you’re going WvW, I’d suggest Staff/Hammer and platinum doubloons on everything. 14 platinum doubloons will give you an extra 54%, and if you have 6 points in virtues you’ll get 84% boon duration. I can’t recommend this for dungeons, but I can for zergy events and WvW.
I bet we’ll see some of the underpowered traits that no one uses get buffed. Other than that I think we’re good.
- 100 Blades and Whirlwind Attack damage reduced
I love greatswords
That much is true, though how in the world could 5 level 80 people take out an Elder Dragon of that size if we are going to go up close and personal?
Destiny’s Edge tried it, and all it accomplished was the death of Glint.
Prepare yourself for another Jennah-mini
Nah this one will be Trahearne.
Just daily Tequatl runs for me. I used to do dungeons, but it got to repetitive. Tequatl gives enough rewards that it puts me closer to a legendary than dungeons.
I had a dream I got one from the exotic dragon chest from Tequatl last night. Tooth of Frostfang, but I accidentally bound it to my character instead of selling it to buy Dusk.
A level 40 scroll, a mini Marjory, and another Birthday booster. Next year it will be a level 60 scroll, a mini Taimi, and another Birthday booster. 4th birthday will be a level 80 scroll, a mini Braham, and another Birthday booster. The year after that they’ll just give us an 80 scroll, a mini Kasmeer, and another Birthday booster. 6th year will be a mini Rox, an 80 scroll, and another Birthday booster. 7th year will be a mini Canach, an 80 scroll, and a birthday booster. Then GW2 will shut down, and we’ll go over to GW3.
These threads always make me laugh, because the players claiming to be open-minded and who say they want everyone to play how they want, don’t want Zerker only people to play how they want.
I see no problem with people farming mats. They’re what keeps the prices low.
I haven’t gone back for any of the achievements because I don’t feel like replaying the episodes :/
If you had to decide on a weapon to carry, would you choose to carry the one that’s going to burn down the building you walk into if you brush past something? Or catch someone’s clothes on fire if they stray too close?
The sword doesn’t burn anything while drawn, so I assume the flames are just and illusion.
Also, can I say how glad we don’t have these:
Note, though, those seem to mostly be bone. Or other “organic” materials, still probably pretty darn heavy.
The difference is that the characters in Monster Hunter actually hold their huge weapons as if they weighed something.
The first thing they’re repairing is Kiel’s home. I mean, she’s done so much for us it’s only fair.
Greatswords shouldn’t be weighing a few hundred pounds of course. Historically, they were considered heavy and impractical if they went over 8 pounds.
According to Wikipedia’s article on Longswords,
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longsword)
a longsword weigh anywhere between 2.4-4.0 pounds. Compare the sword from that article to something like this
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bandit_Sunderer
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dark_Asuran_Greatsword
And you’ll see why they weight so much more.I realize that the weapons in the game look like they’re ridiculously heavy. That’s why I said “Greatswords shouldn’t be weighing a few hundred pounds of course.” In the game, they do seem to weigh that much, for reasons only teenage boys can fathom.
As a teenage boy, I can say not even I understand it. The weightiest greatsword I use is Ebonblade.

I kind of wish my male would hold it like that. I mean c’mon, if I’m holding a few hundred pounds I’m not going to hold it as vertically as I can 24/7.
I don’t think lazy is the correct word. Certainly it would take a lot of effort to revamp Ascalon, probably months worth of effort…
Ghosts are so integral to the plot they couldn’t remove them. They could remove them story wise. Since Zhaitan is technically dead, the risen are becoming weaker and dying out. Instead, we see the pact losing temples because the players failed to defend it. I think even if they removed the Foefire, we would still see the ghosts because they are so integral to the experience for players playing through for the first time.
I just want to get an exotic aqua breather with the right stat combos.
You can upgrade your agony infusions to +10 AR and then put it on your 5 trinkets, no need to craft any ascended gear to get 50 AR.
“Buy some trinkets with laurels, then play Fractals”
What about those who don’t have laurels at the moment, but barely 400 crafting…
How do you not have laurels? I have 2 ascended amulets, 1 ascended ring, something like 40 laurels worth of dyes, and a few gathering tools, and I have 70 laurels.
I get the idea that Phil Thackeray will become a hero, and cleanse the Foefire. (He is Logan’s second cousin, twice removed)
I really don’t know. The play-how-you-want crowd are really hypocritical, because they’re getting mad at someone for playing how they want. They aren’t really a play-how-you-want crowd, they’re an I-have-a-right-to-every-group crowd. I don’t participate in zerker only groups, but I don’t yell at them for playing how they want.
Assuming you mean a slot for mini’s that can be equipped, +1.
I’d prefer XP for crafting anything instead of gaining a crafting level. Makes sense to me at least.
or my favorite of all “I should be able to do all the content regardless of skill level!”
That’s the only point I cant agree with; I don’t believe there should be any gated content… a harder version with better rewards, titles, and achievements, yes; but content only hardcore players can play, no.
Content should be for everyone, rewards and achievements… they should be earned.
So I guess we should make Arah, Liadri, etc. easier so all players can play them?
Technically anyone under 13 isn’t allowed to play GW2, but hey, what the mods don’t know won’t ban your account
(I hope I don’t get infracted for this lol)
1. Yes. If you go by the guides on GW2crafts.net you will get all crafting professions to 400.
2. No, you get 7 levels for getting a profession to 400. Only some of the professions can even go to 500 for the extra 3 and you own’t have enough money left over to get those to 500.
I liked the “follow” in that he wouldn’t stop in the middle of a group and start attacking.
You could completely ignore the air elementals because of this.
It seems very much like the promised, but ultimately not implemented, Companion system.
I’d very much like them to fully implement the Companion system (with a decent UI, which would probably be the hardest part).
Let us take one of Destiny’s Orphans with us into Dungeons.
I’d take a companion with good AI over pugs in a lot of dungeons haha.
I was using a full rabid gear exo+ascended rabid spec condi necro.
This is where your problem is. Condi Necros are great in SPvP and WvW, but not so much against bosses.
IIRC this boss takes conditions like a man and doesn’t do anything to cleanse ‘em. If you play conditions you’ll have it easier than a Berserker.
Warrior is most played, most fun is on a personal basis. I haven’t played every class before, so I can’t tell you.
If they add this they’ll have to completely restructure the game. If you feel like you need a healer, then you aren’t doing something right. If they don’t restructure the game and still add a healer, they’d be the new kick-on-sight class from PUGs, and that’s the first time I’d support kicking-on-sight.
I know I’m not a developer, but it’s a case of serious over correction. There was too much silk, and so they decided to do this in hopes of using up some of the supply. Well, it worked to well and now we have a deficit.
How about the Always Current Crafting Guide? http://www.gw2crafts.net/artificing.html
After 400 it’s pretty terrible. I made a profit getting my Weaponsmith and Armorsmith to 500, and that expects over 100 gold loss. I’d tell you all what I did, but then it wouldn’t be profitable, now would it
Yeah. I heard that about the 400 to 500 crafting, if you use it you will lose money.
But I don’t know if you can reasonably expect a basic program like this to be able to consider market trends and upcoming release information. It’s good enough for what it does, get you leveled at a minimum cost, if that’s all you want from it.
Well it’s set up to find the minimum cost considering returns, and you can make a profit by selling the exotics you make.
I tried to jump after it too, and I’m a human. That sword is the only way to end years and years of death and suffering. I’d put my life on the line for it too.
That’s what he thinks we still have magdaer.
I guess you’re right, but I thought it was Magdaer causes the curse and Sohothin reverses it IE Magdaer cannot lift the curse?
hard content-ppl cry “nerf it”
easy content – ppl cry “too easy”
hard achi – ppl cry that they have to make any effort to get achis which arent mandatory
easy achis- also bad
Even when we get a mix people complain. “Because there are easy achieve’s the fact I have the hard achieve’s don’t matter!”
or “Why play the hard content when there’s easier content”
or my favorite of all “I should be able to do all the content regardless of skill level!”

Yup, Anet’s RNG at it’s finest. After harvesting ~30 nodes without a drop,
I got one on my second tree, and haven’t see one since. I’m just gonna get it as more players give up and sell theirs.

Adding to my earlier post, it would cost roughly 93 gold for Zojja’s Warfists if you TPed it, 12 for the Steel Gauntlet Plates, 21 for the Gauntlet Lining, and 60 for the insignia (okay, 59.99.99 but one copper more and it would be 60!). If you bought the basic materials and refined them it would be closer to 64 gold. When you’re looking to make this stuff, play it smart and look at the prices. Sites like GW2spidy are invaluable.
The materials to make them can be bought, but it’ll run you something like 100 gold per piece. You cannot buy the materials for a legendary off of the TP. You can buy most of the basic stuff, but a lot of it will require you to do the work. If you want to buy a legendary though you can just plain buy one from the TP.
They respawn almost as soon as you kill them. Ignore them until they’re about half way through the room, since they go down really easy.
You can also jump up and down from the ledge and it can’t hurt you. Range it from there.
Well I play a Guardian using Swords, I don’t have any good ranged weapons so it’s not really an option.
I play Guardian too, I just make sure to bring my Scepter along. Never forget a Scepter.
Since when Veteran mobs are impossible to kill? Oh…unless you are using TVH
The difficulty in this one is the fact it has high HP (I play Berserker Guard and it was a pain) and a very high damage leap attack. I found the elite mobs in some dungeons easier to solo than this mob.
